𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐲𝐚'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I woke up the next morning still smelling like butter cream frosting, rolled over to look at my alarm which reads 11:30 AM. Finally decided to get up and do something today, walked out from my bedroom and saw Ryland on the couch watching her favorite sitcom "The Nanny".

"Morning." I groaned

"Good Morning to you too, so how was the party?" Ryland Asks

"Fun really fun, please stop shouting." I Said

"I'm not...Ah you have a hangover don't you." I shoot a glare over at her, she smiles "How much did you drink?" Ryland Says

"Well I remember drinking beer, and then I had three maybe four shots of tequila." I burp "That's pretty much it."

"Wow and you haven't puked yet, I'm shocked how I'm always the one puking and your not." Ryland Said

"That's because I got a strong stomach baby sis." I Said "So what episode of the nanny are you watching?"

"Oh it's the kissing cousins episode one, you know when Fran accidentally dates her cousin." Ryland Said

I quickly poured my Honey Nut Cheerios into the bowl, then poured the milk over it and grabbed a spoon and made my way over to the couch with Ryland. After two episodes has passed, A few hours pass and Mindy & Sarah has came over to hang out, I'm in my room getting dressed because I'm expecting Michael's any time.

There's a knock on the door and I quickly run over to answer it, I take a quick look in the mirror and the girls giggle a little at me then I opened the door.

"Sawyer nice to see ya." Shawn Said

"Nice to see you to Shawn." I Said

"Hi Shawn." Ryland Said

"Little Sawyer." He hugs Ryland "You look great, wish you came to the party last night your sister had so much fun." Shawn Said

"Mhmm I bet she did." Ryland Says

"Come in and tell us all about it." Mindy Says

"Yeah we got nothing else to do today." Sarah Says

"Well-" Shawn Said

"As much as Shawn would love to brag about his birthday party last night, we actually have plans today...but I'll see you girls later." I Said

"See you ladies." Shawn Said

"Bye Shawn." They Said

I walked out first then Shawn closes the door behind us. Shawn opened the door for me to get in his car, then he got in on the driver side.

"Okay Now where to?" I Asks

"You'll see." Shawn Said

I leaned back in my seat and Shawn put the keys into the ignition and the engine roared and we drove off.
Two in a half hours later we pulled up in front of a nice small home, it looked like any other house you would find on the country side in Texas, but it reminded me of home.

"And here we are." Shawn smiled as we got out of the car.

"Um where are we exactly?" I Asks

"My Parents house, aka my childhood home Sonya." Shawn Said

I looked him with wide eyes almost, taken back a bit and surprised he would take me to see his parents, I'm not his girlfriend or anything.

"Your parents house..Shawn wh-" I Said

"Why I bet your asking?..Hmm maybe because I like you and your my friend, plus all my close friends have met my parents except you of course..now don't worry you'll love them come on." Shawn Said

"Did your family to let them know we're coming?" I asked and Shawn shook his head.

"Well No Let it be a surprise." Shawn Said

"You and these damn surprises." I Said

We walked up to the front door and I took a huge breath as he knocked. Suddenly a woman answered the door, She looked up to Shawn and smiled widely

"Hey Shawn you over to came to visit " She hugged him and he smiled, hugged back

"Hi mama" Shawn Smiled

After she let go of her son she looked over to me

"And who's this beautiful young lady?" She Asks

She spoke sweetly and already seemed like one of the nicest people on earth, which gave me a sigh of relief.

"Oh I'm Sonya Sawyer it's pleasure to meet you Mrs. Hickenbottom" She looked at Shawn then back to me "Yes?" I Said

"Now I know where I've seen that beautiful face you're the girl that's on Tv who interviews the superstars right?" She Says

I Nod and smiled agreeing "Yup that's me."

"Wow your even more beautiful in person, it's so nice to meet you I'm Carol " She Says As Shawn smiled

After she greeted us at the door she welcomed us in
"Well come in! your father will be so excited to see you!"

We walked inside, I looked around inside and the house seemed comfortable and smelled really nice. There was a man sitting on the couch watching Television.

"Richard, Shawn's here! and he brought his friend." She Says

Richard looked over and smiled, He stood up and walked over to us as he hugged Shawn.

"Hey Pop." Shawn Said

"Hey, Why didn't you tell us you were coming over?" Rich

"Wanted it to be a surprise for you guys and her" Shawn Said as he looked over to me. "This is Sonya Sawyer"

"I'm a friend of Shawn's." I Said

His father looked over to me and smiled "Well it's a pleasure to meet you" Richard Said As He shook my hand

"Nice to meet you as well Mr. Hickenbottom" I Smiled

An hour later Shawn and I were sat on the couch with his father, Carol came in with a book and I already knew what was happening.

"This is our family photos" Carol Says

Shawn looked at his mother then at me, I smiled because he and I knew where this was heading.

"Mom we don't have to—." Shawn Said

"No No it's okay, my mother does it all the time with every friend I've met..go on." I Said

His mother and Father continued showing us the photos, Shawn was embarrassed for a good amount of it but I would make jokes to help him feel better which I could tell he appreciated.

"Oh would you look at that photo, there's baby Shawn." Carol Said

"Oh my why don't you look so adorable." Shawn looked at me "Those pretty blue eyes." I Said

"He gets that from me, dad's face but mothers eyes." Carol Said As I Smiled

"Mmm." I Said

"Hey since you guys came all this way, you both staying for dinner?" Carol Asks

I looked at Shawn who shrugged his shoulders, I nod.

"Of course we are!" He smiled, Shawn and his father walked into the kitchen as I stood up, Carol and I
walked into the kitchen. We all had dinner together, Shawn and I hugged his parents before we left.

"Have a good night Carol." I Said

"You too sweetheart, get home safe." Carol Said

I waved goodbye to her and got in the car to wait for Shawn.

"Shawn Baby come here." Carol Said

"Yeah Mama." Shawn Said

"I like her, I really do she's sweet and funny and drop dead gorgeous." Carol Said

"I agree." Shawn Said

"Now tell me something why aren't you guys dating?" Carol Asks

"Ma." Shawn Said

"Come on shes like the perfect fit, now I just spent three hours with that woman and she's perfect just for you." Carol Said

"Ma she's just a friend, Sonya clearly said that she's not interested." Shawn Said

"Well duh of course she did, but I don't know about you but I see someone who might be interested you better keep Sonya around...just saying." Carol Said

"Your Crazy Mama, goodnight I love you." Shawn Said

"Good night." Carol waved goodbye

We drove back back to my house, He parks the car and we sit in it for a while.

"Well I think that went really well, So what did you think of them?" Shawn Asked

"They're really sweet, honestly cool people to hang out with." I Said

"They really like you, especially my mom." Shawn Said I chuckled a bit

"Yeah..I'm glad they seem to like me." I Said
As He smiled at me

"I mean of course they do, who wouldn't your a cool person once you get to know you" Shawn Said

"Same goes for you too." I Said

"So since we ripped that band aid off, when can I meet yours?" Shawn Asks

"Oh that's not gonna be for a while, Ryland is fine but my parents and brothers well see." I Said

"Okay I'm just ready to head all the childhood stories of you." Shawn Said

"No you don't there's endless amounts of them." I Said

"Wait you got something on your face hold on?" Shawn Said

He leans in closer it's to the point I can feel his breath, Shawn looks in my eyes as he removes whatever it is on my face. As I stare in those beautiful blue eyes of his, I kinda get lost in them for a second and we were both just lost in a trance of each other for a moment.

"I got it." Shawn Said

"Thanks." I Said

"No problem." Shawn Said

I catch him staring at my lips and he looks back up at me, looked at my watch and realized it's late.

"Look it's getting late and I have to be on a flight tomorrow afternoon don't want to oversleep and miss it." I Said

"Oh we can't have that." He opens my door for me "Thank you for coming." Shawn Said

"Thank you for bringing me." I got out the car, closed the door behind me and waved goodbye to me and he waited for me to go inside and drove off. I closed the door behind me and leaned against the door and instantly stated blushing.

"What are you blushing for." She gasps "Did he kiss you?" Ryland Asks

"What Ry No he didn't kiss me, we actually just had the perfect day together...he took me to go meet his parents." I Smiled

"Really..you met the parents, interesting." Ryland Said

"What's interesting?" I Asks

"Nothing it's just, you guys seem like great friends...I'm just waiting for one of you guys to make it official or make a move." Ryland Said

"Ryland." I Said

"Come on Sonya, don't tell me you haven't thought about it..what it would be like if you kissed him. Because I know deep down inside you want to kiss him, I bet you did in his car." Ryland Said

"No..." I Said

"Oh my god you did! You totally wanted to make out with him..." Ryland Said

"Shut up god you need a hobby or better yet, a boyfriend." I Said

"Boyfriend's are optional I can have one whenever I want but you missy, haven't had a boyfriend in almost two years and I think you found your next one...all you have to do next is admit that you like him." Ryland Said

"That's not going to happen, I'm gonna go take a shower." I Said

"I bet a cold one." Ryland Said

"Shut Up." I Slammed my door closed and She laughed

It's been weeks since Shawn's birthday celebration and now it's back to work. Tonight's biggest show is Summer Slam and the main event of the evening is Bret Hart Vs The Undertaker and of course Shawn's the special guest referee. After the main event, I sat backstage on one of the crates and thought about the many thoughts I had running through my head.

I know it's about to be a year I've been in this company and over these past few months I've gone from disliking him to befriending him and, I can't believe I'm saying this but Ryland was right I actually having feelings for the guy.

"Son of a bitch." I Said

I went back and forth about having a conversation with him, but I finally stopped overthinking and went with my gut. I got my ass off this crate and marched my way over to Michael's locker room, I turned the corner but stopped, someone came out from that room and I peeped my head out just a little and saw who it was..Sonny, of fucking course it's Sonny.

She fixes he hair and Shawn stepped out putting back on his shirt, Sonny gave Shawn a quick peck and my blood started to boil with anger. Sonny quickly left the area and Shawn went back into his locker room, I walked back over to catering where I saw the Hardy's and Lita talking amongst themselves and I joined them again at the table, faking a smile pretending like nothings wrong.
