๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”. A New Dojo

"๐‡๐Ž๐– about Johnny Lawrence Karate?" August said as he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. "Or even Strike First Karate?"

Johnny stayed quiet as he stared at his computer screen while eating a Slim Jim jerky stick, and August sat down across from him. "Sensei, c'mon, I'm trying to help you think of names for our new dojo." August said

"How long does it take for Facebook messages to get delivered?" Johnny asked. "Ali lives in Colorado, so probably a while right?"

"It's instantaneous." August said as Johnny sighed then closed his laptop. "What about All American Karate?"

"It's not good enough. We need something that tells everyone we're the most badass dojo in the valley." Johnny said

"Yeah, sucks that Cobra Kai is such a badass name." August said

"What if we just keep that? Spell Cobra Kai with a K, they'll call us triple K." Johnny said

"Wait, you mean like, KKK?" August said as he gave Johnny a quizzical look. "Yeah, not a good idea sensei."

"All right, whatever. We'll figure it out." Johnny said. "First we need some students."

"It's my first day back at school today." August said. "I could do some recruiting, but where are we gonna train?"

"You let me worry about that." Johnny said

"Hey, is there something going on between you and my sister?" August said as he placed his backpack on his shoulder

"What makes you think that?" Johnny asked

"Sensei, I'm not blind. I see the way you two look at one another. Especially the way you look at her. I've only seen her look at one other guy the way she looks at you, and that's Paul Newman, when she would watch the movies with grandma." August said. "But whatever, it's none of my buisness. Goodluck today sensei."

The first place Johnny checked out was a gym, with a complementary juice bar. The blonde walked around, looking at the space, and drinking juice from the juice bar.

"Place is turnkey. Got locker rooms over there, adjoining steam rooms, private showers. How are you liking that juice?" The landlord said

"It's the best orange juice I've ever had." Johnny said

"In-house juice bar. Your clients are gonna flip for it. I've got a few folks sniffing around, but you look like the kind of guy who knows a good deal when they he sees it." The landlord said. "Shall we start the paperwork?"

"Who needs paperwork? I'll take it." Johnny said.

"We still need a contract and we'll need to run your credit." the landlord said.

"Yeah, I'd prefer you didn't." Johnny said. "What do you say we skip all that crap and make a good ol' fashioned handshake deal, like men."

After being turned away at three other facilities, the blonde found another place outside the facility. It was small run down studio, which was, or could be a storage area.

"You said this is the fourth place, you've seen today?" a man in overalls, who seemed to be the landlord or owner said.

"Yeah. Just trying to work within a budget." Johnny said.

"This place is as cheap as they come. I had to knock a couple hundred off because of the asbestos. They think they got it all." The landlord said

"Y'know with a few coats of paint, a little elbow grease, I think I could make this work." Johnny said as he continued looking around. "How much do you want?"

"Three grand."

"Three grand?!" Johnny exclaimed. "Are you serious? This place sucks. Where's the juice bar? Where's the steam room?"

"There was a vending machine down the hall, but some homeless guy crapped in it." The landlord said.

"I drove all the way down here thinking this place would be affordable." Johnny said

"This is LA, pal. You want a roof and four walls, it's gonna cost you." The landlord said

"Thought I might find you here." Stella said as got out of her impala at the encino hills look out, and sat down next to Johnny. "August told me about looking for a new dojo. How did it go?"

"Hey you." Johnny smiled as he gave her a beer. "Well, after being turned down by several places the only place I found was a park."

"Hey, that's a start." Stella smiled. "I know it's not exactly a roof and four walls, like you wanted, but it is a start. Have you thought a name?"

"Eagle Fang." Johnny said

"Johnny, eagles don't have fangs." Stella said as she took a swig of her beer

"Yeah, but they can kill a snake." Johnny said

"You do have a point, I never told you this, but I have a severe fear of snakes." Stella said.

"But, you're from Texas." Johnny said as he finished his beer. "Aren't there a ton of Rattlesnakes and shit down there?"

Taking another swig of her beer and rolling her eyes. Stella said, "Johnny, just because I'm from Texas doesn't mean I'm not afraid of snakes, or rodents, ugh." she shivered at the thought

"Well, luckily, Eagle Fang says we're are the baddest dojo in the valley." Johnny said. "Anyway, you'll be there tomorrow right?"

"Of course I'll be there." Stella smiled. "You know I got you." she said as she laid her head on his shoulder

The next day, Stella met Johnny at the address he gave her. August, Bert, Mitch, and other old Cobra Kai members were there. The brunette stood off to the side as he began.

"This is day one. We've been here before. But things are different now. They tried to tear us down. It didn't work! They said we needed a roof and four walls. Screw that! This park...will be our new dojo. 'Cause, you don't need a dojo to be a dojo! Is that understood?" Johnny said, and Stella smiled at him

"Yes, Sensei!" the kids replied in unison

"I started Cobra Kai with one nerd," Johnny said, pointing to August. Stella glared at him only for the blonde to ignore it and continue on. "This is a step up, and if we're gonna be taken seriously, we need a name that commands respect. A name that elicits power and dominance. Cobras are strong. They may be the king of the jungle, but the world is more than just a jungle. And there's only one animal...that can kill a snake."

"A mongoose?" Bert questioned.

"A real animal, Bert." Johnny said.

Stella rolled her eyes and chuckled. Johnny really was clueless. The blonde turned around and walked to a cardboard box that sat on the ground. "Welcome to Eagle Fang Karate." Johnny said as he took a shirt out of the box, unfolded it, and showed it to the kids

"Uh, eagles don't have fangsโ€”" Mitch started, but Johnny took the shirt in his hand and threw it at him, cutting him off.

Johnny tossed a shirt to each of the kids, and said, Put 'em on!"

"Anyone else feeling a little snug?" Mitch asked as he looked down at his exposed stomach

"Do some more sit-ups." Johnny retorted, as Stella and August rolled their eyes. "All right, everybody fall in!" he instructed, and the group of kids fell in.

Turning her head, Stella noticed a group of kids coming their way. That recognizeable red mohawk let them know who it was. "Johnny." the brunette said

Johnny turned around and saw the kids, then he chuckled. "Still got it. All right, everybody. Looks like our class just got bigger. Make room."

Hawk just smirked and turned his head, and the others looked as well. Tory and Kyler came into view. Stella looked at her brother and the two of them furrowed their brows in confusion. Then Kreese followed with a lot of kids following after him. Stella immediately moved to Johnny's side.

"I told you. Cobra Kai for life." Hawk spat.

Kreese smirked and moved forward, stopping in front of Johnny and Stella. "Don't worry, Johnny. I'm not here for a fight." he said as he took off his sunglasses.

"Yeah? Then why the hell are you here?" Johnny asked angrily as Stella stood beside him

"Yeah, snakes don't belong in the park, you ancient asshole." Stella spat

"I'd like to make you another offer to come back to Cobra Kai where you belong," Kreese said

"You're crazy if you think I'm ever teaming up with you again. The garbage you're feeding them, the shit they're pulling, it's messed up, and you're to blame for that." Johnny said

"I have to disagree with you there. I care about my students. They're strong and they're true fighters. And they wouldn't make the mistake of showing mercy or ending up in a coma!" Kreese spat

August stepped forward angrily with Hawk doing the same, almost like they were challenging each other. Kreese put his hand up to stop Hawk, while Johnny did the same to August.

"Hey! He showed mercy because it was the right thing to do you ancient piece of shit!" Stella spat angrily

"You're a fiesty one. I can see why Johnny likes you." Kreese smirked,

"Wipe that smirk off your face asshole." Stella angrily spat, and Johnny gently pushed her back

Kreese then turned to Johnny, and spoke. "This is it, Johnny. There's not gonna be another chance." he stated.

"Good." Johnny hissed through gritted teeth.

"You made your choice, and you are gonna regret it." Kreese threatened

Stella and Johnny glared at the older man. Kreese glanced at the two of them before putting on his sunglasses and turning around to walk away, the group of kids following him. Stella watched as Kreese and his students disappeared in the distance, that sinking feeling in her stomach returning.
