A FEW WEEKS LATER, Leah and her roommates were sat in the history classroom as Jason and Alfie trailed behind him, copying his walk which Jason noticed as Leah laughed at her best friend

"Sorry Mr Winkler" Alfie spoke before rushing to his seat

"Alright! Everyone settle down please! Okay, before we start the class. The school is having a perspective parents day next week and I would like some volunteers to help me show the outside world what a talented bunch you all are!" The door opened and Miss Robinson led her class into the already filled classroom

"Alright everyone take a seat"

"Oh man! Miss Robinson!" Jerome gushed. Leah turned and pulled a puzzled face at her best friend

"Uh Miss Robinson, I'm in the middle of a class here"

"This is my classroom, Mr Winkler. If you look on the timetable, I've had it booked now for weeks"

"Shall we?"

"I don't think so" Miss Robinson spoke

"Okay um.. quiet everyone! Can you go to the drama studio and we'll continue on there" Everyone stood up and Leah waited for her best friends. Jerome stood up and stood next to Leah as Alfie went to move but fell to the floor, causing everyone to laugh.

"Right behind you, Mr Winkler" Alfie spoke. Leah helped untie Alfie's lace from the table leg and they all headed off to the drama lounge.

Leah and Nina walked down the corridor over to Fabian as Nina pulled her blazer on

"I'm going to visit Sarah. If she is the girl in the recordings then maybe she can tell us something about the murder" Nina spoke

"Do you want me to come with?" Fabian asked

"I do but remember how much she freaked out last time? I think I should go alone, there will be less screaming" Nina spoke. Amber joined the 3

"What are you 3 whispering about? Where are you going?" Amber questioned

"Nowhere" Nina spoke, signalling that Mick was approaching them

"Oh sorry, of course no where"

"Do you fancy going into town later, babe? We both have free periods so.."

"Hey! Check out my new playlist, its major!" Amber spoke, shoving her ear buds into Mick's ear before turning back to Nina, Fabian and Leah

"I'm going to the home to visit Sarah"

"Excuse me! You're going on a fact finding trip and didn't invite me? Two secs while I fix my face" Amber spoke before turning back to her boyfriend

"So are we going into town?" Mick asked

"No can do boo!" Amber told Mick before turning to Nina again, "Do not go without me!" Amber walked off to the girls bathroom as Mick looked at Leah who just shrugged at Amber's sudden mood.

"Do you know where Ethan is?" Leah asked Mick

"Erm.. Try the field" Mick spoke

"Thanks.. Fabes, I'll meet you in the Drama lounge" Leah went to find her boyfriend on the field when she turned the corner and she caught a glimpse of Ethan standing with Melissa, from Horus House, kissing.

Leah moved backwards and lent against the wall in shock and heartbroken. She left before anyone saw her and headed back inside. She pulled her phone out and sent Ethan a message,

She sent the message and turned her phone off before heading over to Fabian

"Did you find Ethan?" Fabian asked as Leah sat down on one of the chairs

"Huh? Oh.. No I didn't" Leah lied

Fabian and Leah were sat in the drama lounge when Amber and Nina returned from the home

"Right, creepy little girl Sarah says 'sometimes I see them in the mirror' Crazy old lady Sarah totally just said this same thing, coincidence? I think not!" Amber ranted

"Shes definitely the girl in the recordings!" Nina spoke

"What about the murder?" Fabian asked

"Yeah.. we kind of lost her by then.. something about tipping the scales-"

"-Okay!" Amber interrupted, "I've had a really important idea. We are the only 4 students in Creepy Towers who knows all about this.. we are a club/gang/posse.. whatever you want to call it. I think we should make it official! Sibuna" Amber spoke as she lifted right hand over her right eye

"Sibuna?" Leah questioned

"Yeah! Anubis backwards, see what I did there?" Amber spoke

"That's cool"

"Great! So what do you say?" Amber asked

"Well, I'm in!" Leah spoke, "You guys got me into this Egyptian stuff and I'm liking it, even though some bits is creepy"

"Okay, but does this mean we make a solemn oath not to tell anyone about this?" Nina questioned Amber

"Absolutely!" Amber spoke

"Okay, I'm in!" Nina spoke, "But no pricking our fingers or eating snakes or anything like that"

"Tonight, we make it official!" Amber spoke, nodding at Nina's comment. A hand tapped Leah on her shoulder and she turned around to see Ethan, standing behind her

"Can I talk to you?" Ethan asked. Leah turned around and rolled her eyes before standing up but no moving anywhere

"We can talk here.. I'm not hiding anything" Leah spoke

"Look, what happened meant nothing! I love you!" Ethan spoke

"Sorry to break your heart but I don't.. I can't be with someone who lies and cheats on me... I'm sorry Ethan, but we're over" Leah spoke. Ethan accepted the breakup and walked off as Leanna sat down to look at Amber, Fabian and Nina who looked shocked

"Leah, I'm sorry" Nina spoke

"Its fine.. I think I'll stay single for a while" Leah spoke, sitting straight and putting a smile on her face

THEY ALL HEADED HOME from school and changed into their normal attire and Amber led them out to the burnt out tree in the middle of the woods where she lit a fire pit with leaves and grass

"Oh ancient gods of Anubis House" Amber started, "We pledge ourselves to your secrets and your quest, we are the SIBUNA club and we make these sacrifices as a pledge" Amber rifled through her bag and pulled out one possession we each had in our rooms. Nina's stuffed toy, Fabian's book, a photograph and Leah's favourite key ring she bought with Jerome and Alfie

"Wait, hold on!" Nina spoke, taking her stuff toy in her hands, "You are not sacrificing Merl" Nina stuffed it into her bag

"This is my signed copy of The Solar System Is Your Friend" Fabian took the book in his hand

"Amber, this is my favourite key ring that matches Jerome's and Alfie's. There is no way in hell I'm sacrificing this, this our friendship bondage" Leah stated.

"Okay, even though these things seem really dumb to me. I know they mean something to you.. it has to be a sacrifice" Amber spoke, holding up the photograph she was sacrificing.

"Yeah but why such a big sacrifice? Nina questioned, she pulled out a key ring from her bag, "You can have this but not Merl.. He's my lucky mascot"

Leah searched through her handbag and found an old bracelet she disliked, "Here... This bracelet doesn't mean anything to me.. This is my sacrifice but not my friendship key ring!"

Fabian searched his pockets for something other than his book but he failed to find anything. Amber nodded for them to place their sacrifices. Nina dropped her key ring into the flames, Leah did the same with her old bracelet and Fabian unfortunately had to do so with his book and Amber dropped her photograph

"I, Nina Martin, being of sound mind, well semi- sound mind, promise to protect the secrets of Anubis House and stand by my fellow club members: Amber Millington, Leah Jones and Fabian Rutter" Nina spoke, holding one hand in the air

"I, Leah Jones, being of sound mind, promise to protect the secrets of Anubis House and stand by my fellow club members: Nina Martin, Amber Millington and Fabian Rutter" Leah spoke, following Nina's lead

"I, Fabian Rutter, being of sound mind, promise to protect the secrets of Anubis House and stand by my fellow club members: Nina Martin, Leah Jones and Amber Millington" Fabian spoke

Then lastly, Amber "I, Amber Millington, being of sound mind, promise to protect the secrets of Anubis House and stand by my fellow club members: Nina Martin, Leah Jones and Fabian Rutter"

"These are our sacred vows, let no man.. or woman, tear them down" Nina spoke, "Sibuna" She lifted her hand over her eye. The 3 did the same, "Sibuna" Just as they finished, rumbles of thunder sounded and they all looked up to the sky as dark clouds appeared

"That doesn't look good.. We should get back" Nina spoke

"Of course I've just done my hair!" Amber complained. The 4 started to walk away as Fabian grabbed his bag and a puzzle piece fell out and Leah knelt down to pick it up

"Any luck?" Leah questioned, looking at Fabian

"Nothing.. I've tried every single combination possible" Fabian spoke. Leah twisted the piece and it fell apart, revealing 3 hexagonal pieces with words written on them, "Except that one.. " Fabian spoke, in shock

"What's in it?" Amber asked as they held the separate pieces side by side which formed a sentence

"When daylight ends at midday, through tears of glass, the eye shall see" Nina read aloud, "What does that mean?"

The 4 of them looked at each other, puzzled at what the sentence meant. They headed back to the house before the rain could fall.

Leah, Fabian, Nina and Amber stood in the kitchen, making their breakfast as Fabian paced back and forwards, repeating a sentence over and over again

"When daylight ends at midday through tears of glass, the eye shall see"

"Is that on the Shakespeare test?" Amber questioned, clearly she had forgotten about what they found yesterday

"No, it's the clue we found yesterday Amber" Leah spoke up as she reached for the jug of orange juice and poured herself a glass

"Oh yeah!" Amber exclaimed upon remembering, "By the way, does anyone know what's on the Shakespeare test?"

"When daylight ends at midday" Nina spoke, ignoring Amber's question, "Through tears of glass, the eye shall see.."

"I still don't get it" Amber spoke

"We need to figure it out," Fabian spoke, "Lunchtime?"

"Sibuna" They all spoke simultaneously, raising their hand over their right eye.

"Why couldn't it have been a map or something like that?" Amber questioned, "You know that's what you usually get when you're searching for treasure"

"What treasure?" Mick questioned as he entered the dining room

"Just this kids pirate thing on the back of the cereal box.. I'm really into pirates"

"Rigggghhhhht," Mick spoke, "Hi Amber"

"Hey boo!" Amber spoke with excitement

"I uh.." Mick pulled out a small box which was wrapped in a bright pink ribbon, "tada!"

"Aww its lovely! Thank you" Amber spoke without even opening the box

"I thought maybe we could, like hang out this lunchtime since you sneaked off yesterday without me" Mick spoke

"Uh.. you see, that might be a problem" Amber started, looking between the 3 and Mick

"Fine, whatever. I know where I'm not wanted" Mick huffed, leaving the room in a rather awkward silence

"Whys he so cranky for?" Amber asked. Leah shrugged at her questioned before resuming her breakfast. Leah decided to walk in with Jerome and Alfie this morning, like usual.

Leah took a seat next to Alfie and Jerome in Mr Winkler's class as he entered the room

"Okay, settle down everyone" Mr Winkler, "Let's talk prospective parents day, shall we? Seeing as there has been such a poor show of volunteers, I've decided to allocate tasks myself. I think you'll find I've catered to your academic strengths"

"That's Mick doing nothing then" Jerome spoke from behind Leah, causing Alfie and a few others to laugh

The lesson was finally over and she, Nina and Fabian walked out of the classroom together and over to the student lounge to work out this riddle. Amber had joined them after leaving Mick stranded in the corridor

"What do you think?" Amber asked, holding up a lip gloss in each hand, "Strawberry passion or bashful cinnamon?" Leah looked up and over to Amber, "Yeah, either looks cute!"

"Okay, so midday is twelve o'clock" Nina spoke, "When daytime ends... Apocalypse?"

"No, that would the end of the world, not the end of the day" Leah added

"Where does the sun go down at midday?" Fabian asked

"Scandinavia?" Nina suggested

"No, they have midday dawns not midday sunsets" Fabian spoke

"I know!" Amber exclaimed, "In cartoons" Leah rolled her eyes before looking down at her book

"What about this?" Fabian spoke. Leah stood up and walked around to stand behind him to look at his laptop screen, "Partial eclipse, midday sunset"

"You got it!" Nina exclaimed

"Got what?" Leah looked up to see Jerome and Alfie walk in with a skeleton

"Looks, brains, charms" Fabian spoke, "you know, all the things you don't have Jerome" Leah couldn't help but laugh slightly

"Your girlfriend was missing you, Rutter" Jerome spoke

"Hello!" Alfie spoke in a high pitched voice, waving the skeletons arm

"Kiss me! Kiss me darling!" Jerome spoke, shoving the skeleton into Fabian's face and he pushed it away. Jerome placed the skeleton back down when he noticed the MP3 player on the table, "Alfie"

"Oh!" Alfie spoke in a rather worried tone

"Well, as stimulating as your non conversation may be," Jerome started, "Its a little dull to us, no offence Lee, but we are going to kick up a storm somewhere else" They leave in a hurry which made Leah questioned them slightly but then again it was Jerome and Alfie.

"I'll be two seconds" Leah stood up and raced after her two prankster boys, "Oi! Clarke, Lewis" they turned to see their beautiful brunette/pink hair best friend walking up to them. She pulled them into the empty classroom next to them

"What was that?" Leah interrogated

"What?" Alfie spoke

"You guys are normally interested in what we have to talk about now but it's like you couldn't care"

"It just got boring that's all" Jerome left as Leah watched, with Alfie hanging around for a few moments

"What's up with him? He's been really weird with me the last few weeks" Leah asked, turning to Alfie

"Look Lee, if I tell you this, you can't tell anyone else"

"You're scaring me now, which isn't a fun thing"

"Jerome told me something... He likes you.. more than a friend Lee"

"Oh─"

"─But you're with Ethan... Hes learning to understand and cope. You may have a boyfriend and a new small group of friends but don't forget us, Lee.. You, me and Jerome are still the Three Musketeers."

"Thanks Alf.. but the thing is..." Leah spoke. She twisted her ring around on her finger as her hands shook slightly, causing Alfie to move over to his best friend

"What's wrong? He hasn't hurt you, did he?" Alfie asked, becoming very protective and worried

"No.. no he hasn't hurt me... not physically at least.. I caught him cheating on me and I ended things with him..."

Oh, Lee... Why didn't you tell you when it happened?" Alfie asked

"I was scared to.. i thought i could manage it but i needed to tell someone" Leah spoke as a stray tear began to fall and then more fell from her eyes

"Lee..." Alfie pulled Leah into a hug, wrapping his arms around her as she cried a bit. Leah had never cried in front of Alfie or any of her friends/housemates but there is a first for everything, "Lee, me and Jerome are always here for you.. We're the three Musketeers. No one can ruin that. Come by mine and Jerome's room tonight and we'll have a movie night"

"Thanks Alf.." Leah wiped away her tears with her sleeve of her jumper

"No probs Princess Leah" Alfie patted Leah on her shoulder before leaving the room. She left a few moments later and walked back to the student lounge where Fabian still had his head in his laptop, "This is ridiculous. There were two hundred and forty two solar eclipses between 1801 and 1900 but who knows how many between 1901 and 1923"

"Why don't we ask Sarah?" Amber suggested

"Amber, you've seen for yourself.." Nina stated

"Duh, not Sarah," Amber reached forward and held up her MP3 player, "Sarah! You never know, she might have mentioned something" Amber spoke. Leah, Nina and Fabian looked between each other and their blonde friend, "I'm not just beauty and sophistication. I've got smarts too, tons of them" Leah gave a smile to her friends.

Leah, Nina, Fabian and Amber packed their stuff up and found an empty room where they gathered around Fabian and his laptop

"What are those squiggles?" Amber asked, pointing at the screen, "Its like a heart machine"

"This is the sound translated as a picture," Fabian started, "So this bit is really loud and these bits are really quiet" Fabian pointed out on the screen which started to make sense to Leanna and the other 2, "This music software is clearing all the interference"

"So, where do we start?" Leah asked

"At the very beginning," Fabian sighed. He clicked the keypad and young Sarah's voice started to talk, a lot more clearer than the other night

"Sometimes he says things in the hope that I'll react, but I don't. Instead, I think of mother and father and I sit in complete-" There was the sound of a click then young Sarah's voice changed into a boys voice, rather high pitched, "I tooketh myself up to the attic and verily there was one massive surprise!"

"What's that?" Amber questioned

"The lady of the house, locked away. A total nut jobeth!" The high pitched idiotic voice was Alfie and Leah recognised the laugh in the background as Jerome's

"Jerome and Alfie!" Leah spoke, growing annoyed

"Well that explains their hasty exit earlier"

"Okay, if they heard this.. they might know something" Nina spoke

"Then again, this is Jerome and Alfie we are talking about" Fabian added

They all arrived back at the house and changed into their normal clothes when Amber spotted Jerome and Alfie in the living room, standing around a box of costumes from Drama.

"That!," Amber slapped Jerome on his arm, "is for going through my stuff!"

"Ow!" Jerome complained

"And that!," Amber slapped Alfie on his arm, "is for recording over my files!" Leah decided to hit Jerome's arm, in the same spot where Amber did

"Ow! What was that for, Lee?!" Jerome complained, looking at his brunette best friend

"Just for fun" Leah spoke as Jerome glared at her

"So, how much did you hear.. or understand?" Nina asked

"Well, if you must know, we only heard that one bit," Jerome started, "And you, by the way," He spoke, pointing at Amber, "Have some really weird taste in recorded books, Millington" Leah lowered her head as she smiled at the thought of Jerome thinking the recordings were a crappy audio book. The front door slammed shut and Mick walked into the living room, all annoyed and frustrated

"Hi boo! I─" Amber spoke, "─I'm so sorry, something came up" Amber looked down at the punnet of strawberries Mick was holding, realising she missed their picnic date.

"We're done, Amber!" Mick shouted, shoving the punnet into Amber's hand, "And I hate it when you call me boo!" He screamed before storming off to his room

"Did he just dump me?" Amber asked, shocked at what just happened

"You bet he did!" Jerome spoke up. Leah smacked him across the arm and they glared at each other

"Nina, Leah," Amber spoke, "What do I do?" She asked, now with sadness in his tone

"Go after him.. I think" Nina spoke, "Not my greatest area"

"What's the point? He already made his feelings clear," Amber spoke, locking her gaze at Mara who was sat on the sofa and heard everything, "In front of everyone" Leah wrapped her arm around Amber to comfort her.

"Mother and Father have the house a name" The 4 of them sat on the cold attic floor, around the gramophone after lights out and Victor's tiresome speech sounded, "Anubis. I think its Egyptian. They're going away soon, to Egypt. Father says he has to─"

"Its just.." Amber started, leaning against Nina, "I love him Nina.. I really love him. I've messed it all up," Amber spoke, looking over at Fabian as he sat recording the cylinders after Jerome and Alfie ruined it.

"Its okay.. it doesn't matter about all of that" Nina whispered. Fabian started to grew annoyed at the fact Nina and Amber were talking over the recording. Leah was sat, leaning against the wall, trying her hardest not to fall asleep even if she was sat in creepy towers with a crackle sound ringing through her ears.

"That's pretty" Amber spoke, looking at the window, "What is it?"

"A sunset" Nina spoke

"When daytime ends..." Leah spoke, now sitting up straight as she looked at the window and her friends

"That's when it happens," Fabian spoke, "Yes! You are brilliant!" Fabian praised Amber and Leah. They finished recording and tidied away before sneaking back down to bed.

They all headed back down from the attic. Leah opened the door to the staircase to see Victor's office empty. She quietly sneaked down the staircase and over to Alfie and Jerome's door. She quietly tapped on the door and Alfie opened it

"Enter Princess Leah" Alfie spoke. He was dressed in a costume. Leah stepped into the room to see his section of the room decorated with blankets, draping from the ceiling, "I thought to cheer you up and since we didn't get to do this during the summer, we create our dream den in Anubis House"

"Aw Alfie... I love this" A head popped out of the blanket, revealing Leah's blonde best friend

"You should, it took us all afternoon to build" Jerome spoke, causing Leah to laugh. She climbed into the den with Jerome and Alfie and they watched movies and ate snacks before all falling asleep in the den, wrapped under duvets.
