Little Trigger warning ahead
"I a-am sorry, sir. I-I wil-ill never d-do it again. P-please s-s-stop," I beg with my hands joined in front, trying my best get away from the man in front of me, clutching his leather belt in his hand. This belt was on my skin a few seconds ago, leaving the burning sensation after it hit me.
"How many times, hm? How many times do I have to tell you that you are not supposed to get out of this room unless required? How many fucking times?!" He yells angrily at me and I flinch. Wrapping my arms around my body with was clad in teared up floral dress, I try to stop the guy wrenching burning feeling. I cry harder when he starts stepping nearer me.
"I am l-literally sorry. I-I am sick, so I wanted to take in some fresh air. P-please forg-give me this t-time. P-please," I still try my best to convince him to stop. If he hit me again, I won't be able to stay conscious. I'm sick and dehydrated. My body feels hot and insides feel dizzy. I can't take it anymore.
The man in front of me scoffs and says," This is my orphanage. I own it and I can do whatever I want to do. And you! You have to listen to me. Ever since you are here, all you do is exactly the opposite and I don't tolerate it," and then he drops the belt down to make his way towards me as I look up at him with fear in my arms and trembling chapped lips.
"Girls like you deserves punishment otherwise they slip out of your hands. Right, sweets?" He asks in a terrifyingly soothing voice as he starts unbuckling his pants.
I know what he'll do and I dong want it to happen.
"N-no! N-no Please. Please, I beg you. Please, I won't do it again," I start crawling backward with my heart thinking faster and blood roaring in my veins.
Please no. No. No.
But there's only so much energy a sick person can put our and I'm running out of it. I have no energy to get up and run out of this dark room. When my back collide with the wall behind me, I know it's the end. What's going to happen is inevitable. It has happened to me before and it'll happen again. My eyes water even more and I look up at his smirking face.
Now, the last thing I can do is scream and I did. I start screaming until my throat goes sore. I cough loudly because of the cold. I try to stand up but he crouched down in front of me and grabs my jaw harshly. Trying my best to kick or push him away, but there's only so much a fifteen years old can do.
He scoffs," Such a pretty girl. Always amaze me".
"Let's start. Shall we?" He says and leans in.

I wake up sweating hard to the sound of my almost 2 years old kid. "Mommy, aa yu ok? You were shcweming?"
I gulp down the heavy feeling to puke out as I pant hard. My eyes are teary and heart is beating so loudly. I feel like I can't breathe but then I felt my son's hand on my forehead, gently caressing my sweaty skin.
I look up at his face, all puffy and red. He looks like some angel and indeed he is. I smile at him as I try to calm my breathing. As long as he's with me, I'm perfectly fine.
"Yes, baby. Mommy is ok. Come, I need a hug," I assure him and still laying, open my arms to let him hug me. Wrapping my arms around his small soft body, I let the tremors of nightmare go away. I kiss his forehead and he snuggles in closer.
"Yu okay, now?" He asks in a sleepy tone. I hum and tell him to sleep. He sleeps right away but I'm still trying to get that nightmare out of my head.
Nightmare... I think no one knows it better than me because ever since I was born, I've been living in one. As a newborn child, I was given up to an orphanage. With no parent or guardian, a child was enough lonely and when the only place I found as my home turned out to be nothing but an hell hole, my life was set into hot fire, burning every little hope, happiness and comfort.
Though my basic necessities were taken care of in there, I - and many other girls like were, were treated like nothing but a toy. The owner of the orphanage was the one who liked to play with us and those scares are still deep into our souls.
I completed my schooling, used to work too and live in a beautiful apartment after leaving that hell place. Ofcourse, I couldn't do it on my own. Someone- a very special one, helped me a lot in every smooth or edgy turn of my life since I left that orphanage. That certain someone was a bright beam of light in my dark life. That certain someone was the one who I always wanted to share my life with.
Someone, I wanted to have a house by the beach, a beautiful countryside farm and 3 children with. Someone, I never wanted to lose but that someone is no longer with me.
He was my boyfriend, Song Young chul. He died almost a year and half back when I was 3 months pregnant with our son, Eun Jae, in an accident. I miss him, I always will but I have tried my best focus my life around our son.
He was a rich 20 years old boy and I was a 16 years old when I first met him at my orphanage. He told me that he was with his family there to donate some money and other things.
I first saw him standing by the tree that was outside the window of my own room, some metres away in the lawn. He was looking up at the beautiful cherry blossom tree . His hair was swaying beautifully in the shade of the tree. The pink fluff leaves were flying all over in the sky. A mesmerising blue butterfly caught the boy's attention as it flapped its wings from the front of his face and came towards my room's open window.
There...there was when I first locked my eyes with him. The beautiful boy walks towards my window on noticing me staring at him. My mind was telling me to close the window and just leave but I just stood there looking at him ascending towards me. There was this magnetic pull in him I couldn't ignore and for some reason, I felt he's the one.
"Hi," he greeted me. His voice was so smooth and comforting that I literally melted there like butter right on the spot.
"My name is Song Young Chul. Can I know yours?" he introduced himself. His eyes were the most beautiful shade of brown, his lips the perfection of cupid bow and his smile was touched by an angle.
How can someone be so mesmerizing? That's all I thought.
I couldn't speak anything. Partly because I were scared....scared of getting close to him in any way because he will punish me again and partly because of how beautiful this boy was. All I could do was look at the angelic boy in front of me.
When I didn't give any reply, he continued," Oh, stranger danger? I get it. It's ok. You are really beautiful though...I am sorry if I sound creep but I just wanted to compliment you".
He smiled at me, wanting to show that he was not a bad guy and for the first time in years, I felt happy- I smiled. I smiled so big that I couldn't even recognise what I was feeling. It was just warmness and contentedness filled in my heart. A feeling I could never forget.
A smile surfaces on my face at the memory. He is not with us now, at a better place than earth though. Today was his birthday, we celebrated it ofcourse. He is always in my heart and I'm always thankful for him. Eun Jae is totally on his father, the eyes, the lips, the hair, nose...everything. Whenever I miss Young Chul, I just look at him and feel at ease.
His parents never supported our relationship but as he wanted to get me out of that orphanage, he fought with them to stay with me. When he was 18 years old, his grandparents signed their property under his name. He had enough money to live his whole life happily and comfortably as he was also a shareholder of his father's company. I never knew about this when I decided I'd live with him in his apartment. I was 18 and he knew what the owner did to the girls. He helped me out of there and filed a case against that man. After so much hard work, we both were able to kick that rat into the prison.
When I got to know that he had had a fight with his parents because of me, I told him to go back to them or atleast convince them. We both tried a lot but all in vain. They wanted him to marry a rich girl whose family is also into business but he loved me- a poor orphan. So, we were never on good terms with his family.
Young Chul was a black belt in Taekwondo. He used to teach me how to defend myself in times of danger. He wanted me to be self reliant so that I can protect myself against any douchebag like that man. Slowly slowly, I got very smooth in it.
After I completed my schooling, I got enrolled into a good college. When I was 19, I got to know that I was pregnant and both of us were very happy by the news. It was unexpected but I have always loved children. It was not the right age at all but I still wanted the child so we kept it. He used to take very good care of me. He himself was a university student. He had a good source of income beside the millions he had in his account but I never knew from where the money came.
Everything was good and smooth until I was 3 months pregnant. One day, he was out late at night. He just told me that he had some business to take care of. It was almost midnight but he never came home. I grew worried as he was not even picking up my calls. I tried to find him but couldn't until the next morning when police stopped by our apartment. They asked about him and showed me some of his belongings. When I asked about the matter, I got to know that he was in a very critical condition in the hospital. I rushed to the hospital and found out that he was no longer alive.
That day was the worst day of my life. I got so sick that I got hospitalised but I just survived because of the child- his child, in my belly...his blood, the proof that we existed. I was all alone then, trying to stay happy for my unborn child. But everything went even worse when after a month some guys raided the apartment and destroyed everything. They were the men of Young Chul's parents. As Young Chul was dead, the property and money again fell under his parents name. I had nothing with me other than the hope, the will to live.
After being homeless for a week, I succeeded in finding a small room on the outskirts of the town. The place was congested but at least I found a roof on my head. It was just a room with nothing but four walls and a ceiling. After buying it, I bought some other necessary second hand furniture with some money that I had in my account. I stopped going to the college and started working instead. At first, it was at a cafe. It was a decent job and paid quite well. I saved the money for the coming child and kept my expenses as low as possible.
In my life all alone, one day an old lady came in to fill up the space.
"Hello, sweetie" an old woman, probably in her late 50s greeted me when I opened the door for her. It was first time someone visited me. It was odd but was it comforting? Absolutely.
"Hi," I smiled and bowed.
"Oh dear, you must be new here," she asked.
"Ah yeah. Just shifted a week ago," I told her. "Oh come in, please," I invited her inside.
She became very close to me since that day. She and her husband were abandoned by their only son. They had no choice other than to live here. I met her husband too and he was also very nice.
To be honest, they became the father and mother I never had. Being a new young mom without any sustainance, I was worried that pregnancy will be harder for me but they helped me in every way possible. During the last month, they were very cautious regarding my health. Sometimes, she slept in my room and gave me massages. She is a very good cook too. I felt cared for.
"I have always wanted a grandchild, my husband too and now I guess we can call someone our grandchild, right?" She asked once when she was massaging my feet.
"Ofcourse, ah jumma. This is your grandchild," I answered her while rubbing my full baby bump slowly.
The day Eun Jae was born was the day I will never forget. I cried a lot missing Young Chul. He must have been so happy if he was there but I still moved on because of Eun Jae- I had to. He is my everything, literally everything. I can never even think of losing him. The day he opened his eyes and looked right into mine, I vividly remembered the first day I met Chul. My life became very happy since then but my job wasn't enough. Due to lack of qualification, I couldn't even get another decent job.
I got to know about this famous strip club which was hiring new waitresses. I first denied the offer but then accepted after confirming that it is safe. I just gave drinks to the customers and the security is very tight there. I liked the job and accepted the offer. So, now it's been 7 months since I started working there. Sometimes I work for night shifts, sometimes day. I like working there.
My life is on the track now, smooth and happy....but isn't it always so quite and smooth before the incoming of the disastrous storm?
