Y/N was invited to the white council that would behold that evening the dwarves would leave. She had said yes as she knew she would easily find them again. Bilbo didn't like leaving them, but she said she had to. Maybe she and Gandalf could conceive the council to let the company go willingly. But that was a big maybe as she knew none of its contestations. "come with us, my lady," Gandalf said. The young shifter looked up seeing Gandalf standing beside Elrond. she nodded to the elf and stood up from her previous spot beside bilbo and big goodbye to the hobbit.

She was silent as the elf lord led them through the halls of his home to the pavilion where the council would be held. She only listens to the two males talking " "With or without our help, these dwarves will march on the mountain. They are determined to reclaim their homeland. I do not believe Thorin Oakenshield feels that he's answerable to anyone. Nor for that matter am lady Y/n  or I," Gandalf said to Elrond, who looked at the grey wizard meaning full.

"It is not me you two must answer to," the lord said. Y/N tilted her head curiously and followed Elrond's gaze as he looked in front of them. There on the edge of the pavilion framed against the moonlight, was a  tall, beautiful female Elf. The elleth turns around, and Y/N senses the grey wizard's surprise and delight. the two have a strong bond. "Lady Galadriel," he says and bows his head. The lady elf smiles. "Mithrandir. It has been a long time, " she says, her voice smooth and kind. Y/N immediately feels at peace in the elleth's presence, knowing she would not harm her.

The lady's gaze then turns to Y/N, and her voice enters the young shifter's mind. Lady Y/N. Welcome to Rivendell. I've heard much about you. Y/N smiles and bows her head in greeting, answering the lady of light. It is a pleasure meeting you, Galadriel. I've not heard a squeak of you, but I'm sure you're greater than I would imagine. A small laugh escapes Galadriel's lips, and she turns to Gandalf, receiving flatter on his end.

"I had no idea Lord Elrond had sent for you." the grey wizard says but doesn't get an answer from the desired person. Instead, a gloomy presence enters the room, and Y/N grows worried and hostile. She puts defenses on her mind, something she had learned since her all solitude in teh forest. On the pavilion comes an older man, a wizard, and an istrari. He is more significant than Gandalf in power but not in wisdom.

His aura is dark and distasteful. Y/N knows that he is not for trusting. And she was accurate. Saruman wasn't the wizard you should put your trust in.

"Tell me, Gandalf, did you think your plans and schemes would go unnoticed?" Saruman says, his tone accusing. Y/N has to hold all her powers in check to lash out at the wizard. she is sitting with Gandalf on a table of whtie stone. Elrond and Galadriel are either standing or walking about. Gandalf looks up at his "superior" with a raised brow. "Unnoticed? No, we're simply doing what we feel to be right," he answers, and Y/N nods. "The dragon has long been on your mind." Galadriel speaks to Gandalf but then turns to Y/N. "what is your part of this tale, lady Y/N?" she asks. The wolf lady snorts with amusement. "I have only the protector role here, my lady. I aim to see the dwarves and bilbo safely get to the mountain. I want nothing other than a friendship in return."

This surprises Gandalf and Saruman "why would you do this for simple friendship, my lady?" the white wizard asks, and Y/n turns to him, her eyes cold. "I wish nothing more than peace in this world. I've hidden far too long in the shadows. It's time I show the world what and who I am." She leans in. Her voice is a mere above a whisper "you do well to remember Airmead that I have the power to kill anything. I will not make a fail when you fall upon my claws" soon, the lady leaned back, a satisfied grin upon her lips when she saw the white wizard's fear.

but he quickly shook it off, turning back to Gandalf, who was talking to Galadriel and Elrond. "This is true, my lady. Smaug owes allegiance to no one. But if he should side with the enemy, a dragon could be used terribly." "What enemy? Gandalf, the enemy, is defeated. Sauron is defeated. He can never regain his full strength." Saruman hisses at Gandalf, who sighs.

"Gandalf, for four hundred years, we have lived in peace. A hard-won, watchful peace." Elrond says, siding with relatively none of them but seemingly Saruman. Y/N sighs and speaks up, "Are we? Are we at peace? Trolls have come down from the mountains. They are raiding villages and destroying farms. Orcs have attacked us on the road." Elrond looks at her conflict flashes over his face.

"Hardly a prelude to war,"  he says as his eyes find hers again after being convicted. He knows he can get on thin ice with this lady and want it not. Saruman decides to speak up; this time, Y/N has to bite her tongue to keep her mouth shut. "Always, you must meddle, looking for trouble where none exists." "Let him speak." the lady of light says calmly as she comes up beside Y/n, a pale hand finding its place upon the younger lady's shoulder. It effeitcifly calms her down.

"There is something at work beyond the evil of Smaug. Something far more powerful. We can remain blind, but it will not be ignoring us that I can promise you. A sickness lies over the Greenwood. The woodsmen who live there now call it 'Mirkwood.' They say..." Gandalf pauses, looking at Y/n, who gives him a titled head in question. What do they say, Gandalf? Her voice comes into his mind. The grey is mildly surprised but knows this must be one of her many powers.

He does well in not defying her.
