Johnny carries the small boy back to the car, holding him close to his chest. Their trip was being cut short to make sure they had things to care for a child with.

Zachory clings to Johnny, smiling widely. The little boy was so excited to get a safer home than his last one.

"We're gonna take you home, okay," Ponyboy says. "Well, to our home that is. It isn't much but hopefully, you like it."

"I'll love it," Zachory cheers happily.

Ponyboy couldn't help but smile at the young child. The boy was just the sweetest little thing ever.

"So, Zach," Ponyboy starts. "Have you eaten anything today? Are you hungry?"

Zachory nods his head shyly and looks at him. HIs stomach growls and he rests his head on Johnny's chest.

"Nu-uh," Zachory murmurs. "I want food, please?"

"Of course," Johnny says. "What sounds good? We'll make dinner as soon as we get home."

"Sketti (spaghetti)," Zachory cheers loudly. "Please?"

"Of course."

They arrive at the car and Johnny opens the back door and sets Zach in the seat. He buckles the boy in and smiles.

Zachory giggles softly and sits there happily. Johnny carefully closes the door and walks around to the front passenger door.

Ponyboy gets in the driver side and hums, shutting the door an buckling his seatbelt. Johnny gets in and does the same, looking in the backseat.

Zachory smiles sweetly and waves at them. He looks so happy.

"Hi," Zachory cheers. "Hi!"

"Awe, you're so cute," Johnny cooes softly. "I'm going enjoy you staying with us."

"Really," Zachory questions. "You excited to has me stay with you?"

"Course we are," Ponyboy says, starting the car and looking back to pull out of his parking space. "You're a sweet little boy and you seem so sweet and happy."

Ponyboy starts driving, keeping his eyes on the road in front of him. The young boy in the backseat looks out of the window, smiling widely.

"Does this mean I get two daddies for a while," Zach asks. "Two daddies sounds fun."

"Yeah, I guess we are," Johnny says, giving a small smile at the boy in the back. "And I guess this makes you our son for a while."

Zachory grins widely and looks at his two new dads. He was extremely happy to finally be loved unlike his actual parents failed to do.

After a few more minutes of driving, Ponyboy pulls into the driveway and turns off the car. He takes the key out of the ignition and gets out of the car, going to get Zach.

Ponyboy opens the back door and carefully unbuckles him, picking him up and holding him. The young boy giggles softly and smiles.

Johnny takes the keys from Ponyboy, which have the house keys on the ring, and walks to the front door. He unlocks it and opens the door for his husband and the small boy. 

"Thanks, babe," Ponyboy says, walking through the door. "You're a gentleman."

"Anything for my baby doll," Johnny cooes, closing the door quietly.

Ponyboy blushes and sits Zachory down on his feet, ruffling his dark hair gently. The little boy grabs Ponyboy's hand lightly.

"We don't have much here but this is your home now," Johnny says. 

"Its pretty," Zach says, giving a large smile. 

"Thank you," Johnny says. "You're a sweetheart."

"I know, " Zach states.

Johnny laughs gently and ruffles the little boy's hair. The little boy giggles.

"Where do I get to sleep, " Zachary asks.

"Well, since thus is such short notice and we don't have a bed for you, " Johnny starts. "We're just gonna make a fort in the living room today and we'll all sleep in the fort. You and I can start building while Ponyboy cooks."

Zachory nods and grins, letting go of Ponyboy's hand. He and Johnny walk to the living room happily while Ponyboy makes his way to the kitchen. 

Ponyboy hums softly and starts getting everything out, sitting it all on the counter. He turns on the faucet and fills a pot with warm water.

After it's filled, he turns on the stove and puts the pot on the burner. He hums and waits patiently.

After a while, the water starts boiling and the boy adds in the pasta. He hums and sits on the countertop, waiting for it to cook.

The boy could hear small giggles coming from the living room and smiles a little. This is going to be interesting, being a parent.

I'm so sorry that it took forever! I have just been really wrapped up in school work as well as my new story 'Hunger'.

It's just been a lot so here's a small chapter to fill in for the time being. I really hope y'all like it!
