As most people know, dreams and nightmares are common things to experience in your sleep. While some people remember their dreams, some people don't. One common superstition about dreams is that they all have meanings, such as if you have a web in your dream, then you're hiding a secret. Another common myth is if you look in a mirror you will be given bad luck.

Some people do not believe this while others donโ€™t. Some might not even remember their dreams, making it hard to determine the reliability of such beliefs.

Your consciousness will decide what sort of dream you're going to have and it can vary over many things, from violent to happy, sad to chaotic, nothing to something.

While most dreams can be interpreted as good meanings, nightmares are a whole different story. There are many different forms of nightmares such as waking nightmares, sleep paralysis, realistic nightmares and normal nightmares.

Waking nightmares are where you wake up straight after something scary happens. Sleep paralysis is where you're stuck in your bed unable to move, speak or even blink while a scary monster starts coming towards you, most of the time it will end when it reaches you. Meanwhile, Realistic nightmares are where you can choose what you do and try and move around but in the end it will most likely have the same ending. Normal nightmares are just scary. Some people experience them while others don't.
