Chapter Twenty-Three
MIKAELSON COMPOUND
The next day, after their passionate intimacy, Klaus and Christy laying in bed, asleep, both shirtless, wearing his boxer briefs; and her Natori feathers bra and undies, underneath the bedcover covering them both. He's gently cuddling her from behind and she's laying in front of him.
"Are you wake?" Christy asked her husband.
"I'm awake." Klaus said to her.
Christy turns over to look at him, and gently cups his face with her hands. "As much as I would love to stay in bed with you, I have to meet up with Ana."
"Elijah's ex-girlfriend." Klaus said, teased.
"Don't be meanie, I'm actually happy that Elijah has moved on with his immortal life." said Christy. And pecks a kiss on Klaus's cheek. "I'll see you later."
"You as well." Klaus said.
Christy sits on the side of the bed. She gets her blanket and gently wraps it around her half naked body as she gets up and walks away.

LAFAYETTE CEMETERY
Ana and Christy are in Kol's Playhouse. And Ana is looking through some of her grimoires.

"Must be pretty amazing." Ana said to Christy, starting up a small conversation.
"What's pretty amazing?" Christy asked.
"You don't need grimoires to study or do magic." Ana replied, intrigued.
"Nope, I don't." Christy said. "It doesn't make you envious or anything, does it?"
"No, of course not. I actually like you, Christy. You're sweet, kind-hearted, strong, and a badass." Ana replied with a small smile.
"Yeah, I am. And I don't brag about it either." Christy said.
Ana and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.
"I also visited the Museum Of Orasani Mythology. You're pretty famous." Ana mentioned.
"Yeah. Mount Orasani is a beautiful peaceful home island. My husband and daughters loves visiting there." Christy said to her.
"Mount Orasani does sound beautiful." Ana said.
"Yeah, it's miles away by plane. But I can teleport there sometimes." Christy said.
Ana and Christy exchange another small smiles at each other.
"How about a latte?" Christy asked.
"Okay, sure. An cappuccino sounds good." Ana said.
"Okay, I'll be right back." Christy said, walking out of Kol's Playhouse.
Minutes later...
Ana and Christy are sipping on their coffee to-go cup drinks. Ana has her cappuccino and Christy has caramel latte.
"Hey, Christy." Davina greeted.
Christy looks at Davina and smiles. "Hi, Davina."
Davina and Christy embraces in a hug and gently pulls away from the hug.
Christy glances at Ana. "Davina, this is Ana. Ana, this is Davina Claire."
"Hi, nice to meet you, Davina." Ana greeted Davina.
"Nice to meet you too, Ana." Davina greeted back at her, and looks at Christy. "And by the way, Kol says "Hi."
"Okay." Christy said.
And Christy's phone buzzes in her jeans pocket. She pulls out her phone and looks at it.
Trinity
Christy answers her phone. "Hey, Trinity."
"Hey, Mom, Luna and I wanted to let you know that she and I, and Nikole are with Hagarth at Mount Orasani." Trinity said on the phone.
"Okay, does your Dad know?" Christy asked.
"Yep. Luna told him and I'm let you know too." Trinity said.
"Okay, I'll see you and your older sister when you get home this evening." Christy said.
"Okay, love you Mom." Trinity said.
"Love you too, sweetheart." Christy said.
And Trinity hangs up her phone. And Christy puts hers back inside her jeans pocket.
Christy slowly walks over to the table and looks at some of Ana's grimoires, sitting on the stool chair. "So, these are your grimoires, Ana?"
"Yeah, I have my own library at my apartment." Ana said.
Christy's phone buzzes in her jeans pocket. She pulls out her phone and looks at it.
Thalia
Christy answers her phone. "Hey, Thalia."
"Hi, Christy. I may have something. Are you able to come by the monastery whenever?" Thalia asked.
"Yeah, I'm on my way." Christy replied, hanging up her phone, and looks at Ana and Davina. "Ana? Davina? I have to go, I'll see you guys around or whenever?"
"Yeah, sure." Davina said.
"Okay." Davina said.
And Christy walks away, putting her phone back in her jeans pocket.

ZENITH'S AND THALIA'S MONASTERY
That afternoon, Thalia and Christy slowly walks inside the home library as they are talking about an ancient chamber which has an hidden vault inside of it.
"Is this the same ancient chamber that's on the outskirts of New Orleans?" asked Christy with her arms folded.
"Exactly." Thalia replied. "I've visited it sometimes, studying it. There's a vault door inside of it."
"It's been a while since I've visited the ancient chamber." Christy told Thalia.
"And there's also a map." Thalia said, walking over to the cabinet and opens the top drawer, gently taking out a folded map. And walks over to the desk. "And by the way, I'm glad you're okay."
"You too." Christy said.
Thalia and Christy exchange small smiles at each other. Suddenly, Toddler Irene starts crying from her nursery.
"I got it." Zenith said from the living room.
"Thanks, honey." Thalia said, sitting at the desk.
"Where's Damien?" Christy asked.
"In his room, playing video games." Thalia replied. "Do you still have the ancient medallion?"
"Yeah." Christy replied, sitting atop of the desk.
Zenith slowly walks inside with Toddler Irene in his arm. "Hello, Christiana."
Christy becomes astonished at how much Toddler Irene has gotten big. "Oh my gosh, Irene's gotten so big."
"Yeah, Irene has been keeping Damien on his feet." Zenith said.
"Hi, Irene." Christy greeted with a small wave.
"Ello." Toddler Irene greeted Christy.
" 'Ello' " means "Hello" in Irene speak." Thalia said to Christy.
"Aww. So cute." Christy said with a small smile.
"She's been practicing walking with Damien." Zenith said.
"Aww. Older big brother, Damien." Christy said with a small smile. "Well, I gotta go. Klaus and I have a date."
"Sounds romantic of Klaus." Thalia said with a small smile.
"Yeah." Christy said.
"I'll update you when I have something else on the ancient chamber." said Thalia.
"Okay, I'll see you around." Christy said.
"You too." Zenith said.
And Christy teleports away in golden dust.

NEW ORLEANS PARK
That night, in a gazebo, Klaus and Christy are sitting on the seat cushions.
The table is decorated with half eaten plates of food and a bottle of red wine.

"Sorry that I missed our date." Christy apologized, taking a sip of her champagne.
"That's why we're making it up." Klaus said to her, taking a sip of his champagne.
Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.
"I know you don't want to talk about it, but what's it's like, your dark alter ego?" Klaus asked her.
"My Dark Enchantress is menacing, sly, and sadistic." Christy told her husband. "It's always been apart of me. Even as a child, I didn't understand because my Mom didn't talk about it much. She told me that it was something not good and I didn't say anything else about it."
"Nadia was protecting you." Klaus said.
"Yeah, she was." Christy said.
Klaus drinks the rest of his champagne and gets up, gently setting down his emptied champagne glass on the table.
Christy drinks the rest of her champagne as well.
Klaus offers Christy his hand. "May I have a dance?"
"Sure." Christy said, gently taking her husband's hand, slowly getting up.
Klaus and Christy slowly walks to the middle of the gazebo floor and slow dances together. He twirls her around and gently pulls her close to him, exchanging small smiles at each other.
"I don't want us to physically fight." Klaus said to her.
"Yeah, me neither." Christy agreed.
Klaus twirls Christy out and gently pulls her close to him with her arm around his neck.
"We both have an inner darkness within us, Chris." Klaus said to her. "I don't know what's going to happen next, or what ancient enemy we will come up against, but I do know this, we'll get through it together as always."
Christy small smiles at her husband. "As always."
Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.
"Have you ever had eclair?" Klaus asked.
"Not really no. I don't think so." Christy replied, a bit confused. "But I assume that it's a French pastry or something."
Klaus small smiles to himself. "I think you'll like it."
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Shortly afterwards...
After Klaus and Christy went to the pastry shop together, they returned back to the New Orleans Park with a takeout paper bag with 4 chocolate and vanilla eclairs.
Klaus and Christy are sitting on the cushions with their eclairs.
"These are really good." Christy said, with her head on his shoulder, taking a bite out of her eclair.
"I know." Klaus said, taking a bite out of his eclair. "Luna and Trinity will like them."
"Yeah." Christy said.
"And speaking of our daughters, I'm pretty sure they miss us." Klaus said.
"Yeah." Christy said.

Klaus and Christy slowly walks into the courtyard and sees their daughters bickering back and forth.
"I don't know where Meek is, Trinity. You're the last person to see him." Luna bickered at her little sister.
"You were supposed to be watching him while I was getting him some more of Mom's dates." Trinity bickered back at her older sister.
"Guys?" Christy said.
Luna and Trinity stops bickering and looks at their parents.
"Hey, Mom. Hey, Dad." Luna and Trinity greeted their parents in unison.
"Pretty dress by the way." Trinity added.
"What's going on?" Klaus asked.
"Luna and I were playing with Meek. I told her to watch him for me while I went to the kitchen to get some of Mom dates. And we throw the seeds away as usual. But anyhoo, I came back to my room and Meek was gone." Trinity explained.
"Luna?" Klaus said.
"I was reading Mom's "Beautiful Passion" book." Luna said.
"No, you weren't. You were texting Damien." Trinity said.
Luna becomes shocked and Trinity playfully teasing small smiles at her.
"I was not, you Little Squirt." Luna said.
"You were too." Trinity bickered.
"I was not." Luna bickered back, and looks at Dad. "Dad? Help me out a little."
"Don't bring me into it." Klaus said, excusing himself as he walks away.
"But Dad?" Luna said.
Klaus stopped walking and looks at both Luna and Trinity. "I'm sure you two will work it out together."
Both Luna and Trinity gasps, a bit shocked. And Klaus walks away.
Luna and Trinity looks at their Mom. "Mom?" They both said in unison.
"Sorry, sweethearts, your Dad's right. I'm sure you two will work things out together." Christy agreed with her husband, Klaus.
Christy walks away from her daughters. Luna and Trinity exchange annoyed looks at each other and folds their arms.

In the study, Klaus and Christy are sitting on the sofa. He's sitting on the sofa and she's reclining on the sofa with open toe heels off.
Klaus chuckles to himself, which Christy notices.
"What?" Christy said.
"Our daughters bickering back and forth." Klaus said.
"We bicker back and forth." Christy said.
"I know, but sometimes we do." Klaus said to his wife.
Trinity walks inside the study with her little pet, Meek the Meerkat. "Mom? Dad? I found Meek."
"Where was he?" Klaus asked.
"In the ballroom." Luna replied.
"See? You two worked things out." Christy said.
Luna and Trinity exchange looks at each other.
"Sorry, Squirt." Luna apologized.
"Me too, Lu." Trinity apologized as well.
"Aww, you two are gonna make me cry." Klaus said, playfully teased his daughters.
Luna and Trinity walks up to their parents and sits down on the sofa in between them.
Christy gently soothes her index finger on Meek's head. It relaxes itself.
"Meek kinda looks like you a little, Klaus." Christy playfully teased her husband with a smile.
Luna and Trinity playfully laughs and Klaus gives Christy a really expression on his face.
"Very hilarious." Klaus said with a small smile.
"I'm just playfully messing with you." Christy said.
"I know." Klaus said.
Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.
