I turned it off and wiped the crust from between my eyes. I got up and washed my face and brushed my teeth.

I had my clothes on my bed, ready for me to put them on.

"Rhea, come eat we don't want to be late for your first day," Mom yelled from downstairs

I walked out of my bedroom, there was no one down the halls thankfully but that makes me wonder. Where are the vampires? Where do they stay at night? Or
what the hell do they do?

"What is Rafe doing in the car? I thought he wasn't going to school until Tuesday."

"He's just coming with me to drop you off and then we're going to Monica Bakeries."

"You are addicted aren't you?" I chuckled

Mom laughed
"I'll bring you a muffin, it's too good."

We made it to the school,
𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐆𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇. There were plenty of teens walking around on school grounds with their book bags on. Some were talking with friends and some were walking in the building.

"What is on your neck? What happened?" Mom asked

I looked at the bandage,
"I fell but I'm okay though, I promise."

"Okay, love you."

"Bye, nerd," Rafe said

I rolled my eyes and chuckled softly "Bye."

I walked into the school clutching onto my backpack strap. Lots of teens were staring at me but not like I was an outcast or anything.

I think.

I made it to the office, "Hello, how can I help you?" The lady asked

"My mom registered me in, I'm Rhea-

"Kinsley,
Rhea Kinsley." She stated

"Yeah I know, welcome to freeridge high-here are your classes." She handed me my schedules

I looked for class 230 which was English, I was a little lost since the school was huge. "Hi, are you new here?" A brunette girl spoke

"I am actually."

The brunette-haired girl wasn't my skin tone, she was Latina or something. She had a Mexican accent and she was shorter than me.

"I'm Carmen." She states

"Rhea," I told her

Carmen took my schedule and glared at it, "Oh! We got the same classes, right now we're in English just follow me."

I followed her up the steps and watched her walk into a big classroom. The teacher was already teaching the class.

"Mr. Conner we have a new student, Rhea Kinsley," Carmen told him

"Oh, I see."

"Well in that case you can sit by Malachi and Mak." He pointed to the seats

I turned to look and saw two of the vampire brothers in the same class as me, in the back. They both grinned and waved at me like the weirdos they were.

"Uh- can I sit somewhere else please?"

"That's the only free seat unless you want to sit near me." He winked

Ew, never mind this school is weird, this town is weird why did we ever come here?

I clutched my bookbag strap and strode to the back of the class, I hung my bookbag around my chair and scooted it away from them as possible.

"Rhea? Do you have a problem? How are you going to write? You're far away from your desk." Mr. Conner questions

"I have a book that I can write on, I'm fine," I said

I heard the boys chuckle under their breaths. "What's so funny," I asked them quietly

They both turned their heads to look at me, "You're such a crybaby." Malachi said

"Your brother Marcus fed on me, and you were about to, too." I scoffed

"I don't think you understand sweetheart, but we're vampires and we need to feed," Malachi whispered back

"Why do you guys get to live with us, I'm already keeping y'all secret what the hell do y'all want." I spat

"Rhea! You're disrupting this class, please be quiet."

Malachi rolled his eyes and turned back to the board, Mak on the other hand was just staring at me.

"You know, I never got a chance to taste you yet." Mak randomly blurted, causing me and Malachi to both look at him.

"So, how are you liking school so far?" Carmen asks with a smile on her face

"Uh, it's welcoming," I told her

"That's great to hear." Carmen bit her pizza slice

𝐖𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄
𝐂𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀, I didn't get anything to eat as I wasn't hungry.

I turned around and saw the four vampire brothers walking in like badasses. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Carmen.

"They are so fucking hot, I just want to fuck the twins badly, Marcus and Milo."

I stared at her like she was crazy, "Uh okay-

Little did she know that they're bloodsucking monsters that kill just for the fun of it.

"Hey, cutie." A brunette-haired boy slid on the seat beside me with a grin on his face

I looked at Carmen confusingly, "That's Brian, One of the popular football players here."

"One of the BEST football players here." He corrected her

"I'm Rhea."

"Is it bubblegum pink?" He got straight to the point

His question made me spit my water out. "Ew! Brian why would you ask her that."

"Excuse me?" I looked at Brian.

"I'll probably find out one day." He sighs to himself

I looked at Carmen's eyes as she averted her attention to someone behind me, I turned to see who she was looking at.

"Find out about what?" Mak turned to look at Brian

And it was the devils themselves, Mak, Malachi, Milo, and Marcus." They were towering over me as I was sitting down. I turned my head back to Carmen's as she stared at me.

Brian also looked scared a little as he watched the brothers stare him down.

"What do y'all want?"

"We wanted to know if we can join you guys." Milo grins

"The seats are f-full." Brian stuttered

"I don't think so." Marcus tilted his head at Brian like he wanted to kill him

I knew what the vampires were capable of but the others didn't, I didn't want Brian to get himself in trouble.

"No, it's okay there are plenty of seats, two can sit next to Carmen and the others can scoot with me and Brian." I sigh

Malachi and Milo sat next to Carmen across from us, "Hi- I'm Carme-

"We know who you are and we don't want to conversate," Malachi told her harshly

Carmen looked at me and whispered, "They spoke to me!"

"You don't have to be rude," I told him

"Rhea," Malachi said

"What?"

"Shut up."

I stood up from my seat, "I hate you guys so much stay away from me and my family." I spat at them

"I'm confused," Carmen said

"Well, I guess we'll see you later then!" Milo grinned at Rhea as she walked away
