14 | Hello, San Senova!

"And ion pay for shit it's all on my nigga, bitch!" Shaniece pointed to Namiko and angled the camera in her direction as the song continued to play on TikTok, and Namiko put both of her hands up as if she was showing off her private jet that they were on.

This had to be their one hundredth TikTok of the flight and they'd only been awake for one hour. Everyone ended up sleeping the first nine hours away and they had just a couple of minutes left in the sky so the girls had to get all the content in as quickly as possible.

Namiko was being featured in Shaniece's video blog for her YouTube channel and some of the TikToks would be used to get her followers excited for the future video. Namiko was so glad to be in the position to take Shaniece and Jamell, their four children and Isaiah out of the country for the first time.

She couldn't wait to show them everything.

"Queen Namiko, we are landing now. If everyone could please fasten your safety straps." The flight attendant said with a smile, referring to their seatbelts.

"Thank you, Anne! Oh my god I'm so excited. It's like I haven't lived here my whole life." Namiko said to Isaiah as he pulled her seatbelt on, as if she couldn't do it herself.

"You look so pretty when you happy." He left a kiss on her bottom lip before strapping Naia's seatbelt back on as she slept in the seat across from them.

"You always say that no matter what I'm doing. Hush." She rested her hand on his thigh when he sat back down, making him laugh.

"Sista who picking us up? I bet we riding in a limo ain't it?" Shaniece said after buckling up as well.

"No. We don't have many cars here. My dad has two old Roll Royce cars—those big ugly ones. We mains ride in carriages. The Royal one is so big and pretty. That's what we'll ride to my house in."

"This girl talkin' 'bout house like she don't live in a fuckin' castle. She too rich for me." Jamell shook his head, making sure that their four children were all buckled in.

"Shush up. It's you guys who got me used to saying house. Even when I stayed in the hotel, Isaiah always said it was my house or home. So now I assume you all call your place of living that, no matter what it is, yes?"

"See how my girl just politely clocked yo' tea? That's why you gotta stay in a man's place." Shaniece looked over at her husband once he raised his hands in surrender, and both women laughed when he rolled his eyes.

"Nami y'all got regular planes too or yours the only one?" Isaiah curiously asked.

"There's more. It's a regular airport it's just less busy than the ones in the states because we are a small place." Their entire kingdom had the population of only the state of Iowa in the United States.

"We have buses as well, in the village. And trains. Just only a few cars." She added.

"Is that 'cause the kingdom poor? No shade sista I'm just wondering." Shaniece asked.

"It's okay—and, no. It's mostly a choice thing—kind of like in New York, everything is mostly walkable or you catch the subway. We're really small and people barely move around, so families typically live near each other which means there's no need to travel. And there's shops and markets on nearly every corner—practically walking distance." She explained to them all, feeling the wheels hit the ground on the private runway at the airport.

"That shit so cool. Bae we need to move here. I literally hate driving more than anything else." Shaniece said with exhaustion as if she was behind the wheel right now, earning a laugh from Namiko and another playful eye roll from her husband.

"I'm just glad it's already Spring out here. Nigga like me hate the cold man." Jamell looked out of the window to see a sunny, clear sky.

"Yeah it's around seventy degrees right now. It's feels really good." Namiko unbuckled her seatbelt as soon as the plane stopped, ready to get off.

"Mama it's hella people out here. Damn. You actually famous. I still didn't believe it for a minute." Isaiah stared out of his window as well, and Namiko leaned over him to take a look. There were tons of people with big cameras and some holding signs of her name and face.

"Oh my godddd, how do they always find out? I told Mark to make sure they didn't. They literally stalk me all the time." Namiko got off of him to unbuckle Naia. "Can you hold her please? And make sure her face isn't showing."

Isaiah lifted her up from the seat and didn't even have to worry about what Namiko said because Naia buried her face in his neck anyway. He carried her in one arm and held Namiko's hand with the other, letting her lead the way for all of them to the exit door.

When the door opened, ten soldiers dressed in full tactical gear lined each side of the stairs that descended to the ground. The camera flashes went off as soon as Namiko was spotted, and people began to scream and chant her name in excitement.

"Queen Namiko, where've you been?"

"This way, Queen Namiko. Look at this camera please!"

"Queen Namiko, is this the future king? Are you two holding hands?!"

"The Queen of San Senova has arrived back in the kingdom accompanied by eight guests! Perhaps she'll introduce them at the gathering today." A news reporter spoke into his microphone a few feet away, along with dozens of others doing the same.

Thankfully, the soldiers were making sure that the reporters and residents didn't get too close to Namiko and her entourage. Isaiah held Naia's head down anyway to prevent them from taking any photos of her.

The carriage that they climbed into was nothing short of spectacular. The doors and body of it were a shiny and waxed black with gold accents along every trim. Even the wheels were made of real gold and each one was almost as tall as Isaiah and he stood at 6'5, so it was huge. There were details on top of the carriage that reminded them of a diamond chandelier, and it was made from real crystals, too.

Two light fixtures were on the front and two were on the back, but they weren't like headlights or taillight on a car. Instead, they looked like gasolier styled copper lantern lampposts. They were outlined in a gold trim as well. The carriage looked straight out of Cinderella!

On the interior, it was hooked up with both air conditioning and heat, tinted windows that had to be manually rolled down like older cars back in the states, a boom box stereo radio, cup holders, and three rows of seats plus the horse director's chair. And it was sound and bullet proof and even had a trunk.

"It's alright junior. You can take anything that you want." Namiko saw the way Shaniece and Jamell's eldest son was staring at the snack and appetizer stand, and all of the kids did exactly as she said without a second passing.

"C'mon now y'all, don't be greedy and take all of it. Y'all gone embarrass me in front of my people?" Shaniece referenced the TikTok, making Isaiah laugh at how serious she sounded.

"You only saying that 'cause you want them to save you some." Jamell said to his wife.

"Boy shut up. You don't know a fuck thang." She bucked at him before taking the assortment of cheese and crackers plate from off of the stand, earning a laugh from them all.

"You gotta deal with that every time you go somewhere?" Isaiah asked Namiko, seeing the small frown on her face that she was trying to hide.

"Yes."

"What's wrong? What you frowning for?" He tilted her head to make her look at him.

"I normally don't mind but I didn't want them here this time because of my baby. I didn't want her to get overwhelmed or anything."

"She aight. Don't be mad. Look." He pulled Naia's head back a bit to show that she was still sleeping, causing Namiko's expression to soften.

"It's only because she's lying with you. If I would've held her she would've been wide awake."

"Can't argue with that." He shrugged with cockiness, making her eyes playfully roll.

It was a half hour ride from the airport to the castle because Namiko stopped the carriage a few times to point out different landmarks and places in town, and when they finally made it there, they saw that the castle was surrounded by hundreds of people, waiting on Queen Namiko's arrival.

"You live there?!" One of the five-year-old twins, Madison, gasped at the castle that the carriage came to a stop in front of.

"Yes, for now. This is first castle. When I get married, I'll move to second castle. That one is the biggest." Namiko pointed to the castle that was a third of a mile away, and although first castle was already huge, second castle was gigantic.

"You hear that brother? Expect me and mine to move in when you pop the question. Hell, y'all got more than enough room." Jamell patted Isaiah's shoulder twice to give him a fair warning, making them all laugh again.

Isaiah got out first and helped the women and children down from the carriage since it was so tall and the stairs were too steep for the kids to walk down without falling. Then, he grabbed Namiko's hand again to let her lead the way. He still couldn't believe his girlfriend was actual royalty.

"Queen Namiko, a pleasure to see you. I apologize for the crowd, I still am not sure how they were made aware of your return." The Prime Minister greeted her at the entrance of the castle, standing in front of the two large wooden doors.

"No worries. I missed you." She stood on the tip of her toes to kiss each of his cheeks while he returned the affection in a warm hug, and then the two of them pulled back.

"I missed you more. And you are?" Although he already knew of him, this was his first time seeing Isaiah. He looked very comfortable with who appeared to be Namiko's daughter.

"Isaiah. Nice to meet you." He held his hand out, and the Prime Minister firmly shook it with a smile.

"That's his best friend Jamell, and my best friend Shaniece, and their children. Jamell Jr, Shania, Maleah and Madison. You guys, this is Mark, our Prime Minister." Namiko introduced them all, and Jamell shook his hand as well while Shaniece was given a small hug and a kiss on each of her cheeks.

"Welcome, welcome. Hello children! We have a nice room set up for you all with lots of toys and an indoor park. We are delighted to have you all at First Castle. Follow me." He gestured with his hand for the armed guards to open the doors, and then he led the way inside.

"Where is Nonna? Sleeping?" Namiko asked.

"As always." He chuckled. That lady could sleep 23 out of the 24 hours a day away and still wake up tired.

"We have prepared a luncheon for you all to get your energy back after the long flight. We also have rooms set up for everyone when you are done." He showed them the long table in one of the castle's kitchen, full of trays of the actual entree meals, desserts, more appetizers like in the carriage, and a real chocolate fountain surrounded by fruit and graham crackers.

"I fuc—freaking love it here." Shaniece caught herself from cursing, making Namiko laugh at her censoring her excitement.

"You guys can eat and freshen up, and later we'll go to the pool to just chill for today because tomorrow will be busy." Namiko gestured them towards the table, and she smiled at how they wasted no time to make themselves comfortable after getting her approval.

She then took Naia from Isaiah so that he could eat as well before turning on the heel of her feet to head in the direction of her bedroom. He rolled his eyes at the fact that she thought he was about to spend a second away from her and Naia, and he turned to follow right behind her.

"You are not hungry Isaiah?" Namiko looked over at him as they walked side by side.

"I'll eat when you do."

"You will shed half your body weight if you wait on me but ok. Suit yourself." She shrugged, and he laughed since they both knew that was true.

Isaiah listened to at least ten people greet her on the way to the her bedroom and every single one of them bowed in front of her and asked if they could be of assistance in any way. It seemed like everyone waited on her hand and foot. He loved that for her.

When she opened up the two large white doors, Isaiah noticed that it wasn't as pink as he thought it would be. There were plenty of pink accents but the room was mostly white and gold to give off that luxurious look. It looked like it was the size of his entire house, too—and possibly the neighbors' house next door as well.

She had one of those princess themed canopy beds with mesh white curtains and a huge white tufted headboard with a tall gold arch on the top of it. The curtains had a gold border and hung from a luxury gold antique piece on the ceiling.

The floors were marbled with gold and a crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling as the light fixture. She had two nightstands on each side of the bed, a 115 inch flat screen Smart TV at the front of the bedroom equipped with a surround sound floating TV bar, and a huge Bernadette vanity set with the matching chair and large mirror.

Namiko's room alone had a second floor with a staircase that was near what Isaiah assumed was the bathroom door. You could see the bronze gold bars that prevented a fall from the ground floor, and it looked like it was a lounge area. There were bookcases full of books, bean bags, another TV, a reading nook and a miniature kitchen.

"You have a kitchen..on the second floor in yo' bedroom. This is deadass some movie shit. How is that even possible?" He stood dumbfounded at what he was looking at. It was practically a house in just the master bedroom. What did the other rooms in the castle look like?!

"The room is forty feet tall. There's obviously enough room for it."

"Yeah but that's not regular. That's what I meant." He shook his head at how literal she was.

"Oh.. I like you all's homes better though. It's much more simple and live in-able. This is too much space for just me. It's fun though. When I was younger, the second floor used to be a full blown park with a trampoline and rock climbing wall. I want to put one in Naia's room now." She laid her daughter down in her bed and began removing her clothing, leaving her in only a pull-up.

"You got a room for her already?"

"Yes. Come." She grabbed his hand to lead him to the door that he thought was the entrance to the bathroom.

"I had them start on it as soon as I saw her in that foster home. I wanted her to have a place of her own that she can feel safe in. It's a sensory room. It has features that's good for autistic children." Namiko leaned against the doorway while he walked inside to look at everything.

It looked sort of like a day care center, except it had a beautiful bed set and it was much calmer. There was fidget interactive stuff of the walls and an ABC 123 mat on the floor in the miniature learning center in one of the corners of the room.

She had a real live doll house that was at least five feet tall and it had a fake drive-thru simulator near the back of it. The bed frame was ironically a castle with real lights, a real three step staircase and small double doors that could be opened. It was a little girl's dream bedroom. Naia would love this.

"You a bomb ass mother. You know that?" He turned to look at Namiko who smiled in response.

"I'm really trying. I have so much to make up.. three years is such a long time. And her time in that home wasn't even good. I wish I could just erase the trauma but I can't.. so I'm trying to start fresh to give her something better." She quietly sighed.

"Don't stress it. She love her mama and she know that you love her 'cause you show it to her every day." He kissed her forehead. "You got this. You doing great."

"I love you so much. You always know how to make me feel better." Namiko wrapped her arms around him a hug, finding solace on his chest.

"I love you more pretty girl. Gimme some." He held her waist as his head lowered to her height, and she reached up to hold his face as they shared a kiss. He clearly was obsessed with her mouth. He kissed her 25/8.

"I'm glad you like the castle..because I have something I want to ask you." She looked up at him after pulling away from the kiss, and his expression softened, feeling as if he knew what she'd ask.

"Namik—,"

"Don't tell me no yet. Please. Let me list the pros and cons first and then you can say no if you'd like." She stopped him before he could say anything, now holding on to his arms.

"Pros—you can be with me and Naia, of course. And you won't have to work at all because we get everything for free and apparently I'm rich, so I will share all of my dollars with you. I could buy you another car if you'd like or we can have yours shipped here. You'll have unlimited access to the jet so you can fly back to New York whenever you miss home."

"I will even pay off your house so that you can always have it to go back to when you're there."

"Only one con—you won't be in New York anymore. I know that's your home and you spent your whole life there but that's okay because sometimes starting new somewhere else could possibly be better.. we aren't like the city but we have the theaters and markets, we have shops and restaurants and bakeries, too."

"And back to the pros—you'll be with me. Naia and I will be here to stay permanently in two weeks if court goes well, and we'll miss you so much if you don't come back with us. Especially me.. I'll miss you a whole lot." She stopped ranting to take a much needed breath, and then she sighed in fear that she didn't do well enough in convincing him to move to San Senova with her.

"There was really no need to list all that 'cause I was gon' tell you yes anyway." He told her, and her frown disappeared and was replaced by his favorite smile to see. She screamed in excitement and jumped into his arms, making him laugh as he hoisted her up against his body.

"Aw, baby, I love you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you." She kissed all over his face with each thanks before leaving the last one on his lips.

"I was so afraid. Oh my god, I'm crying. I thought you would still say no." She fanned her face as tears slid down her cheeks and she leaned forward to kiss him once more.

"Nah. I love you more than life. Ain't no getting rid of me that easy. I been realizing that, now that I have you, I can't see myself going another day without you.. or Naia. That's my baby. I ain't going nowhere mama."

"I'm so happy. I was panicking for no reason. I've been panicking for like the last week. Because that was the whole reason I planned this trip—to convince you to move here with me. That was so easy. Ugh." She harshly wiped her tears away with both of her hands, making him smile.

He really did love this crazy girl more than anything. She meant the world to him.
