could you hear that?
somewhere - far, far away - there is perhaps a galactic explosion right now, setting millions of particles of energy to burst and unite,
as you silently blink at the screen.

could you hear that?
somewhere - right beside you - there is perhaps a million microscopic living creatures, struggling and scrambling to exist,
probably even helping to keep you alive.

with the mere audibility range of 20 to 20,000 he(a)rtz we can hear without deafening ourselves,
and with the visual range constricted within the limited wavelengths of light we can perceive without blinding ourselves,
we - us humans - dare to claim ourselves as the royalty.

who are we to declare existence as living or non-living?
who are we to declare the norms of 'feelings'?
who are we to define 'sentience'?
who are we?

we get distracted by little bright things, and forget to delve into the 'meaning of life'.
then again,
we get so absorbed in the mazes of thoughts in our heads that we forget to appreciate the 'simplicity of life'.
what is life?
how are we to live it?
what does it mean to live?

us puny humans, we can never stop asking questions that skim the tips of our fingertips and skip us - don't we love to get taunted?
after all, "our days and nights are perfumed with obsession".

so,

i dare you.
halt, right there.
and feel.
let yourself feel.
let others around feel.

if you can do that, you will successfully create a parallel universe of your own.

hereby, i shall attempt to feel too.
i cannot dare to forcibly forge a meaning to life. i cannot seek to answer big questions that my small fingers can't grasp. i will fail to find.
so, i shall attempt to find life,
at places where i didn't seek before.
i shall attempt to feel.

i won't be afraid to venture alone, but i would love it if you join me.
we'll travel at our own pace, but i do promise you, we'll come back home.
the world is round, after all.
