Chapter Thirty-One

It was now around 2:40 in the afternoon. Connie and his mother talked for a couple of hours before she had to leave and go to work, sadly. They said their goodbyes, the male continued looking for the remote before going back to bed and falling asleep.

Time Skip to the Next Day

" It stank in here oh my god ... ". Kash said while bouncing his leg in impatientness. " That's the third time you said that, shut the hell up ". Sasha huffed and rolled her eyes.

" Ya'll just chill, aight ? we'll be outta here soon ". Kash made a ' tsk ' noise while Sasha sucked her teeth. But what the hell she suckin her teeth for ? She's the one that got y'all into this mess in the first place.

You rolled your eyes not paying them no mind. Soon the detective came back with a file in her hand. You looked up at her and from her facial expressions, she looked pissed off and annoyed.

" What's wrong with you, stinka ? ". Kash jokingly smirked. The woman glared at him and then walked to her desk.

" Guess she ain't havin the best day ". He said.

She sighed and turned on her heel looking at all three of you. " You all ... are freed to go ... no court or anything ... we found illegal drugs at the house and Hanji told us everything we needed to know ... you're all lucky ... you're free to go ".

Then she aggressively set her paper down, damn guess she wanted to see more black people and an ally go behind bars huh ?

" Sooooo we can go now ? ". You said.

" Mhm ... ".

In a blink of an eye you, Kash, and Sasha left. " HA bitch was maaaad ". The tall male cackled. " How were you just mad now you happy ? ". You raised a brow. " Cause she said we could leave ... still kinda in trouble with my dad but oh well ". He shrugged.

Sasha popped in between the two of you, rubbing the back of her neck. " Ugh I'm tired ... I was gonna go back to your house Y/n but I'm tired - and hungry to be honest ... i'll talk to y'all later ". She waved her hand and was about to leave until she turned her head to face y'all. " And I'm sorry I got ya'll in trouble ... ".

That was the last thing she said before leaving for the train station. " Damn - anyways ... imma go back home, call Connie, and then take me a little nap, what about you, Kash ? ".

" Imma head home too ... my dad mad at me so I got to go before I get an ass whoopin ". He patted your head. You hummed and shook your head. " Aight ... make sure he doesn't hit you too hard ... can't have you being dead ". You jokingly nudged his arm. " Ahaha ... funny - ".

" I know I'm hilarious ". Giving him a cocky grin.

" Pfft bye, Y/n ". He chuckled and backed away before walking off. You waved goodbye, starting to walk your way back home as well.

Time Skip

You didn't live that far from the police station so it didn't take you long to get home. Busting open the door you let out an exhausting sigh. Throwing off your shoes you stumbled upstairs. Man, it was a hard day for you, a hard week actually.

You plopped down on the bed and pulled out your phone. Dialing the hospital number. The phone rang for a while before a lady picked up.

" Hello ? ".

" Hi um I'm calling for Connie Springer, I was wondering if he was up ".

" Connie Springer ? Oh - he just took his medicine and he's sleeping right now but when he wakes up I'll make sure to tell him that you called ". She said on the other line, " What is your name ma'am ? ".

" Y/n L/n ".

" Alright, I'll write your name down and tell him as soon as he wakes up ". You smiled, " thank you have a good day ". You hung up right after she said ' you too '.

" Gonna eat somethin and take a small nap for a bit ... ". Yawning, you put your phone down and sat up, rubbing your eyes before going downstairs to make yourself a cup of ramen.

Time Skip

Buzz Buzz Buzz Buzz.

The sound of your phone rang. Quickly you paused the movie you were watching and picked up the phone. " Hello ? ".

" Heyyyy stinka, heard you were looking for me~ ". Connie teasingly said while walking around the room. You rolled your eyes and put your popcorn down. " Ahhh shut uuuup, I'm just checkin up on ya, fool and stop callin me that ".

" Yeah yeah yeah whatever you say ". He chuckled. " I missed you ". Mumbling under his breath. Luckily you didn't hear him, " tch ... whatchu doing ? ".

" Nothing much just watching Spongebob and eating cookies ". Connie replied.

" Oh, sounds like you havin the best time ".

" Nah ... I can't scratch my ass without one of the nurses coming in and calling me dirty ... one nurse was like ew oh my god this is why I hate working at a hospital, I gotta wash their gowns after they scratch their stink ass with it and I'm like bitch - if you don't get ya ugly lint leach ass outta my face, lookin like a rabbit with rabies ".

" PFFT - wait isn't that their job ? ". You cackled.

" That's what I'm sayinnnn ! but anywaaays how ya doing ? whatcha been up to ? ".

" Eh nothin much, just watching tv ass and relaxing ". Your eyes wandered to the clock to see what time it was, then you unpaused the movie, leaning back into the couch.

" Nice nice ... hey imma go take a shit cause I've been blowing gas all day and I know they getting tired of it, so I'll call you back later cause I'm probably gonna be in there for like an hour or so ... plus that food and medicine got my stomach hurting ". Connie rubbed his stomach.

You scrunched your face up, " ew I don't wanna know that, aight go on go on, I'll talk to ya later ".

" Hehe bye ".

" Bye, stinky ".

You both then got off the line with each other, both smiling on different ends.
