A month later.

"Nigga but you ain't tell me you could rap rap though!" Trayvon said through Von's AirPods, making him chuckle.

"I do a lil something." Von shrugged, checking his YouTube channel.

He had dropped four songs, each of them surpassing 20 million views. His Instagram page had grown to almost half a million followers, and he had record labels reaching out to him, offering him deals.

He even had other rappers reaching out for a feature from him. Von didn't even know where to start, what to charge or who to work with.

Jayda had been helping him with most of it, but he wanted to get everything set in stone. He wanted a legit price list, he needed to get caught up with todays music to figure out who to work with, and who to do business with.

He was currently on his third trip of the month to Chicago. He had been visiting his hood ever since he started getting money.

After buying gifts for Jayda to show his appreciation, the first thing he did was go back to his hood to give back.

Although he didn't have the greatest, or even near happy experience in O'Block, this city raised him into the man he was, and he'd never forget it.

"A lil something? Nigga you done got rich as hell in the last month. Need to teach me something." Trayvon chuckled, and Von laughed.

"Yeah whenever you come back to the states you know I got you shorty. But say, I'm at my PO office. I'll hit you later folks." Von stepped out of his car, closing the door.

"Fasho, preciate you bitch. Be cool." Trayvon waved in the camera, and Von chuckled, holding his middle finger up before ending the call.

Von slid his phone in his pocket, walking inside of the building, and down the hall to Luda's door. He knocked, and once he was granted permission, he walked in.

"V Roy! Long time no see boy." Luda stood up, bringing him in for a hug, and Von chuckled.

"Nigga don't act like you like me." Von patted his back, before pulling away.

"I ain't say I did. Take a seat." Luda smiled, and Von shook his head at him, sitting down.

"I see you doing big boy shit n-boy, is them diamonds in yo damn mouth?" Luda asked, and Von smiled, letting his diamonds glisten in the light.

"VV's. $150,000." Von showed off his teeth, smirking.

"And where you getting money like that from? Ya got receipts?" Luda asked, and Von nodded.

He had to show proof of where he got his money from so that they knew he wasn't dealing drugs or getting the money illegally.

"I done made a million dollars off four songs in a month. Check my stats folks." Von showed his bank transcripts, and a statement from YouTube, and Luda read over them, before nodding in approval.

"Wow. Maybe I should've sent you to Atlanta earlier if you was gone get on yo shit like this." Luda chuckled, writing in Von's file.

"Nah. My hood where I belong. Atlanta a blessing though. Got some good folks downnere'." Von shrugged, and Luda nodded.

"Well whatever it is you doing with whoever, keep them around. You staying out of trouble?" Luda asked.

"Have you got a report on me?" Von smirked, and Luda chuckled, shaking his head no.

"Welp. There go ya answer shorty." Von mumbled, slouching in the seat, becoming bored.

"Well, then that's all I have for you. I'm proud of you. Stay out of trouble young man, and I'll be waiting on that call next month." Luda dapped him up, and Von nodded.

"Fasho. Be easy." Von walked out of his office, out of the building, and back to the car.

He was able to buy himself a car, as well as an apartment in Chicago, along with both in Atlanta as well.

He was so happy that he was finally living comfortably. He didn't have to worry about if his lights would be on, if he'd eat, if he'd have anything to wear tomorrow, or any of that. Thanks to Jayda.

She'd shown him how to manage his earnings, helping him set up a bank account, budgeting his money into things he needed.

She'd also set him up with his health care. He'd been to the doctor for the first time in years, went to the dentist, gotten caught up on immunizations, and made sure his health was in ship shape.

He had never felt more refreshed in his life, and he had nobody to thank besides Jayda. He could never repay her for helping him get his life together.

At times, he felt like to be 24, it was sad that he was just now getting on his feet and making a life for himself. He felt like he was moving too slow in the pace of life, but he was glad that at least he'd gotten his journey started.

Von looked down at his phone, seeing himself being tagged in a Twitter post, and he rose an eyebrow.

The post was from a member of STL, dissing James, better known as T Roy, and dissing Von as a fake thug from O Block.

He chuckled, glad that he was in his city, speeding up the pace he was driving.

He reached in his glove department, pulling on a ski mask and grabbing his Glock from under the seat, taking it off safety.

Von was a hothead. He never thought out his actions, he didn't give a fuck about the consequences. He hated being played with, and he damn sure hated people speaking on James.

He winced as his right ear rung, shaking it off and slowing down on the street before Saint Laurents block.

He got out of his car, cutting it off, after hiding it under the shade of a tree.

He ran around the corner, releasing the clip of his gun into random STL members, making sure not to hit women or children as he reloaded his clip.

He released the second clip, watching many bodies drop. He ran back to his car, pulling off as his tires screeched, making him wince from his sensitive ear.

He pulled his mask off, throwing it out of the window, and speeding away from the scene, making sure to avoid cameras.

He pulled up to O Block, parking his car in front of the apartments and getting out.

He laughed as a small crowd formed around him, nodding at the cameras that recorded him.

"Von! Oh my god y'all it's V Roy!" Von heard someone yell as more people crowded around him.

"Wassup y'all." He waved, taking pictures with people, showing his grills.

Von spent the next hour chatting with some of the old heads and the younger runners, making sure they were good and catching up on the business happening in O'Block.

"Say, where da' kids at?!" Von walked near the park, before seeing a bunch of kids, and he smiled.

"Wassup lil folks?" Von dapped up a few of the young boys who chanted his name.

He pulled a large stack of cash from his pocket, beginning to pass out money to the kids as people recorded him.

"Grandson?!" He heard a familiar voice, and he looked up, before hugging an older woman.

"Aww boy you done got so damn big." The lady hugged around his neck, and he chuckled.

"How you been Ms G?" He continued passing out money to the kids, a smile on his face.

Ms G was the neighborhood granny, hence her nickname. She took care of the kids when she could. When Von was younger, she was the only one who made sure he had something to eat whenever she could.

"Damn good, I see you ain't doing too bad yourself." She smiled, and he did as well.

"I'm blessed OG. Hm." He passed her one thousand dollars, and tears brimmed in her eyes.

"I knew you'd be one of the good ones Grandson. I always told you that." She hugged him again, patting his back, and he smiled.

"I appreciate you Ms G. Have one of yo nephews hit me up if you ever need somethin'." Von kissed her cheek, and she nodded, wiping her face.

"Get y'all had ass away from him. Go on, go home nie!" She because shooing the kids away, and Von chuckled, jogging back to his car.

After a few minutes he was able to get away from the crowd, driving out of the neighborhood.

He smiled in content, leaning back in the seat as he made his way to the apartment he had in West Loop Chicago.

Once he made it there, he took a shower, before laying in his soft bed, yawning.

He scrolled on his phone, booking a flight for tomorrow back to Atlanta. He missed Jayda.

Von dialed her number for FaceTime, leaning back on his pillows with the cover over him.

Jayda answered on the fourth ring, and he could see her switching rooms.

"Hey Kyzeir." She smiled, and a smile graced his face hearing her voice.

"Wassup lil folks? What you on?" He asked, watching her sit down.

"At Tae house with my friends. On live and shit, what you doing?" She replied, pushing her long straight bundles over her shoulder.

"Shit, in da' Raq. I wanna see you when I fly back in. Feel like I ain't seen you in forever ma." He mumbled, rubbing his ear, and she chuckled.

"It's been a week." She smirked, and he shrugged.

"That's too long. Where yo boyfriend at?" He asked, and she laughed.

"We ended whatever we had going on a month ago. I forgot to tell you." She yawned, and he rose an eyebrow.

"Like y'all done done?" He asked, and she chuckled, nodding.

"Hm. So you free game now?" He unintentionally licked over his thick lips, and Jayda blinked slowly as she watched him.

"Yup, sure." She mumbled, and he nodded, setting his phone up.

"That's cute. I know you gone have him eating yo pussy soon cause that's just what y'all do." Von said, pulling his covers more over him, and she laughed.

"Nope, I'm not. Von I'm not finna stay on the phone while you go to sleep." She frowned once he closed his eyes.

"Yes you is. I didn't ask what you was finna do. Shut up." He rasped, and she shook her head at him.

"You be thi-." She started, and he cut her off.

"Jayda be quiet." He spoke, and she frowned, watching him rub his ear.

"Boy."
