Lucifer came to school with a happy smile on her face. It was the day after Mischief Night at the school and it was full of chaos with everyone finding out about all the pranks that occurred the night before, all of which Lucy adored. She gleefully dodged all of the toilet paper rolls and paper balls that was being thrown around as she skipped over towards the boys.
"What a beautiful day." She sang, sitting down at her desk. Stiles pulled out a can of coke out of his bag, and she hummed, opening it up and taking a sip.
As she took the sip, the students heard a loud shout coming from Coach Finstock. Today was her favourite day at the moment. Finstock walked into the room, knocking things over angrily. "Mischief night, devil's night. I don't care what you call it. You little punks are evil." He said.
Stiles looked over at Lucy who winked at him. He chuckled, shaking his head. He had never seen her in such a good mood since she arrived. "You think it's funny ever Halloween my house gets egged? A man's house is supposed to be his castle. Mine's a frickin omelet." Finstock continued his rant. He then continued to break the present that was left neatly on his desk from Greenberg thinking it was another prank.
When class was over, Lucy leaned against the lockers waiting for Stiles to stop by it. Her eyebrows creased when she saw him walk along the halls with his dad by his side in full uniform. "Wait a minute, wait a minute!" He yelled after his dad. "The William Barrow? The Shrapnel Bomber? Spotted nearby?"
Lucy got off of the lockers and walked over towards them. "A little closer than nearby, actually." He informed his son.
Scott's dad walked past with the principal asking how they could get down to the basement and that he needed to know where every entrance was because he didn't want anyone coming in or out of the school. "What the hell is going on?" Lucy asked and Noah sighed explaining the whole thing to her.
"Barrow went after kids with glowing eyes. He said those exact words?" Isaac asked when everyone met up with each other.
"And no one knows how he woke up from anesthesia. Just when they opened him up, they found a tumour full of live flies, which in any other circumstance would be kind of awesome." Stiles explained and Lucy rolled her eyes.
"Did you say flies?" Lydia halted and everyone turned to look at her. "All day I have been hearing this sound. Like... this buzzing." She explained.
"Like the sound of flies?" Allison asked.
"Exactly like the sound of flies." She confirmed. They eventually found Scott to tell him what was happening and how the police were leaving because they heard from an eyewitness that Barrow had been spotted by the train station. Lydia was damn sure that he was still in the school.
The group then decided to split up to look for him, but Lydia reminded Stiles that putting all of the supernatural creatures into the boiler room while there was a mass murderer in the school was a stupid idea, as an engineer could easily use a boiler room to blow up the school. Stiles quickly pulled the fire alarm to get everyone out of the school.
"I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be turned on or annoyed about how this day turned out." Lucy thought out loud as she looked out at the school from the front. "Let's go home." She said pulling Stiles along.
"You know it's my home, right?" Stiles asked. "It's not ours."
"Well, Noah loves me enough to let me stay whenever I want. So it's our home now." She hummed. "I am technically your hot cousin to everyone else."
"God, this is so weird." Stiles groaned.
That night, Lydia came over to discuss what had happened at the school that day while Stiles put up his case board. "What do the different coloured strings mean?" The banshee asked while lying on the bed.
"Oh, it's just different stages of the investigation." Stiles responded while pinning something down. "So, green is solved, yellow is to be determined."
"Blue is just pretty." Lucy added while flipping through a book.
"What does red mean?" Lydia asked again.
"Unsolved." Stiles answered.
"You only have red on the board." She pointed out.
Stiles turned around with his hands on his hips. "Yes, I'm aware. Thank you." He responded sarcastically.
"Did you get detention for pulling the fire alarm?" The banshee continued to ask.
"He would have gotten detention every day this week hadn't I gotten him out of it." Lucy answered for him. "Gotta love being the devil."
Lucy then sensed that Lydia grew sadder that they couldn't find Barrow in the school. Stiles had to reassure her that she had been right every time they had something like that happen and that she should start doubting herself now. Even if they didn't find a bomb, or a scent, or Barrow himself. Stiles then realised something and told them that they were going to to go the school.
When they got to the school, they went straight towards the chemical closet and noticed that it wasn't locked. Lucy realised that even if Barrow was there, they wouldn't of been able to catch his scent due to it being masked by chemicals. Stiles then saw the blood splatter on the floor. Barrow was in the school.
They walked into the chemistry classroom to look for more clues, seeing that there were three numbers written on the blackboard.
19, 53, 88.
"What are those?" Stiles asked.
"Atomic numbers." Lydia asked while observing them.
"Is it a formula?" He asked.
"Not really. Nineteen's potassium. Fifty three's iodine. Eighty eight's radium. The first two make potassium iodide..." She explained and began to write down the atomic symbol for each of them.
"Potassium is K?" Stiles exclaimed.
"Are you dumb?" Lucy asked back.
"It's from the word kalium, the scientific neo-Latin name." Lydia explained. They took a step back and noticed the name on the board.
It spelt out Kira.
That's who Barrow was after.
When they got to Kira's house, they found Scott on the ground unconscious. Lucy violently shook him awake. "Barrow—he took Kira!" Scott yelled out as he regained consciousness.
"Yeah, we know. He was after her the whole time." Stiles sighed, throwing his hands up. Scott then called Isaac to ask if he got anything about the flies that had come out of his tumour, but unfortunately they had gotten nothing.
Scott looked back at them, they needed to find out where he was and what to do, otherwise he might kill Kira. "I knew he was there. How did I know that?" Lydia asked.
"Because you heard the flies, right?" Stiles said.
"What do you hear now?" Lucy asked her.
Lydia began to listen in. "Nothing. I feel like I can do this. But I don't know what to do. It's like it's on the top of my tongue, and I don't know how to trigger it. I just... I swear to God, it literally makes me want to scream."
Realisation dawned on Lucy, she grabbed Lydia by the shoulders. "Lydia, scream." She told her, without a second warning, she let out a wailing scream, the group covering their ears from it. When it died down, Lydia looked up at the lamppost.
"It's not flies." She realised, turning to look at them. "It's electricity."
"Wait a second, Barrow was an electrical engineer. He worked at a power substation." Stiles realised.
"What substation?" Scott asked. Stiles called his dad and asked, when he got the information, he hung up the phone and told them. They immediately got into the car and went towards it.
"I am so going to enjoy torturing this fool in Hell." Lucy mumbled to herself as they pulled up to the station.
They quickly got out of the car and Stiles told Lydia to stay in the car and wait for the police, when she questioned why she had to stay in the car, he held up his bat. "I only have one bat." He told her and ran inside, Lydia sighed at the sight of his retreating body.
When Scott and Lucy got inside, the devil told him to let her take care of Barrow, reminding him that she couldn't die no matter what he did to her. Scott agreed and they ran towards the sound of electricity, they saw Kira tied up against the wall as she protested them coming near.
When they turned around, Barrow was behind them, hitting them with a cut circuit, sending Scott flying backwards and Lucy to her knees. "You're gonna regret that." The devil growled out, feeling the electricity flow through her body. She stood up slowly.
"Stop! She's not the one you want!" Scott managed to groan out.
Lucy ran towards Barrow as he tried to place the cut wire on Kira, she reached him just as a white light shone, sending them all backwards onto the ground, Barrow dying almost instantly from the shock of electricity, the place lighting up, all the power outlets short circuiting.
Kira then stood above them all, the electricity flowing into her hands as they all stared at her with wide eyes.
"Well, that's new." Lucy commented at it.
After helping Kira get the photos of her deleted from her phone that was confiscated by law enforcement, Scott, Stiles, Kira and Lucy ended up at Derek's loft where a black light party was being held by Danny with the help of Ethan and Aiden.
As she entered it, her eyebrows raised at the sight, it was a good party to be thrown by a bunch of teenagers. Everyone was painted and they were all drunk or most likely on drugs and Lucy couldn't help but bite her lip at how much sinning was going on in one place.
She walked over towards Allison who had entered with Isaac to pour herself a drink. She looked at Allison who seemed like she wanted to ask her something but seemed too nervous. "What?" The devil asked.
"How do you know if what you're doing is the right thing for yourself?" The huntress asked, chewing on her bottom lip.
"What, you mean like with Isaac?" She asked her in return, smirking when she received a surprised look from Allison, she knew that's what Allison was really asking.
"How did you know?" Allison questioned shyly, biting her lip as a blush formed on her cheeks that Lucy saw even with the black lights, the strobe lights and the body paint.
"Please, I can smell the sexual tension between you two constantly, even over everyone's sweaty and drunk bodies here." She told her. "All I can tell you is that you don't owe anyone an explanation or an apology for who you choose to love. Who you love is not going to do anything to change where you end up after you die. It's your love life and it really shouldn't matter to anyone else besides you and the person you fall for."
Allison smiled slightly. "Thanks? You're really good at advice."
Lucy shrugged. "I'm the devil." She reminded her. When she looked into Allison's soul, her smirk grew back, "Word of advice; Isaac wants to paint your body." She winked and Allison's eyes widened. "Now go get your man. I have to go take care of Stiles, the poor boy is the most likely to get spiked out of all of us." She rolled her eyes, walking over towards Stiles who was dancing with a girl.
The girl grimaced and walked away and Lucy walked over towards him, "What did I do?" Stiles asked her, trying to look for the girl that walked away from him.
She sighed, trying to find a way to put it as nicely as possible, "Let's start with not dancing like we're in fifth grade." She said while pulling his arms down, "And don't be too pushy. Girls don't like that."
Stiles nodded at her advice before beginning to try and dance again, only what he was doing was so much worse. Lucy could only scoff and smack him, "Don't do that either."
Allison chuckled as she watched the sight in front of her between the devil and Stiles, Isaac looked at her funnily, "It's just so strange how we were always taught she wasn't real, and yet, here she is, standing right in front of us, yelling at Stiles for being stupid."
Isaac huffed, "Yeah." He responded curtly, not really sure how to respond as he also found their situation extremely weird.
Allison only sighed, remembering what Lucy said to her only a short moments beforehand and she quickly took off her shirt to reveal her toned body covered in a lacy bra, "Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to paint my body?"
Isaac's eyes widened, "I wanna paint your body."
After a while—and a lot of persuasion—Lucy was able to find a girl that was happy to dance with Stiles and she walked away, deciding to leave him alone so he could practice his game. She didn't want to cockblock him—she knew how much he wanted to lose his virginity and she didn't want to ruin his chances of it.
Lucy decided to go have a few more drinks and try to feel the smallest amount of tipsy, dragging Lydia over to dance for a few moments before she walked away. Lucy shrugged and continued to dance, Stiles and Caitlin—the girl he was dancing with coming over towards them. The three of them grinding together as the music pumped and the lights flickered.
Lucy threw her head back, shaking her hair out and enjoying the music as she continued to dance the night away. She ended up letting a few of the teenagers paint her body, smirking as they blatantly checked her out. She chuckled when they tried to ask her out but she couldn't find herself feeling even remotely attracted to them as she walked away. Her eyebrows creased at herself as she felt confused—she usually felt attracted to anyone.
Lucy growled, she wasn't going to let her stupid feelings get in the way of her having a good time—she deserved it. She walked towards the drinks table and grabbed a bottle of whatever was strongest, holding it to herself as she continued to drink and dance the night away.
When the music stopped, she groaned, but the voice that yelled out caused her to pause and turn around—she would know that voice anywhere. Especially now since she was so attracted to everything about him.
As the loft cleared out and her friends stayed, that's when they all began to notice the men in black masks standing around the loft. Lucy stiffened up they stood and turned to her and Aiden. "Guys, they're all looking at us." Aiden pointed out.
"Why are they looking at us?" Lucy asked out loud as they took a step towards them. She then let out a roar, she did not like that.
They all began to fight them, everyone getting knocked to the ground almost instantly—the men tearing through them like they were nothing. After Scott and Derek got beaten, two each grabbed onto Aiden and Lucy, it wasn't until then when she realised what they were.
"Oh, you dicks." She groaned, one of the men swiping onto her neck at the same time as they did to Aiden. The burning sensation on their necks caused them to fall to the ground unconscious.
Just as they were about to go after Scott, the sun came up and the men disappeared into ash. Isaac turned to Allison. "Your dad's twenty-four hours are up." He informed her.
Derek ran over to Lucy and shook her awake. When she opened her eyes and looked at him, she noticed he looked worried. It made her smile slightly as she noticed it. "You didn't call." She said with a fake pointed look.
"I'm sorry." He shook his head laughing. He wasn't surprised at that being the first thing she says to him in weeks. But he needed time to think, he was confused by a lot of things that had been happening and every time he did come back, there was never any time to speak to her as he was always being dragged away for something else or she was always with Stiles.
"I think you owe me a drink." She smiled.
