"hey there little lady" the voice of Aiku spoke from behind you, interrupting your stretching

"what do you want" you respond, not feeling like talking to the man

"woah there, why the cold greeting" he jokingly puts his hands up in defence

"just because" you turn away from him and resume your stretching "and I'll have you know I'm only a year younger"

"because isn't a reason" Aiku's feet appear in front of you as you looked down while reaching for your toes

"what do you want" you repeat, this time annoyance being noticeable in your tone

"can't a guy have a conversation with a new teammate" Aiku put's his hands to his hips

"well I don't have time for conversations" you walk away to grab a ball

"then I won't talk" he follows you "how about we train together"

"how about we don't" you walk past him to place the ball in the middle of the field "go train with your other teammates or something"

"oh come on what fun is there training with the same people" he whined behind you

"don't care" you turn to face him "can you leave?"

"at least let me watch" he clearly wasn't going to leave you alone

"do as you please you face away

"you ready?" Sae's monotone voice makes appearance

"ah" Aiku makes a sound of recognition "so boy genius was why you didn't want me to train with you"

"why's he here" Sae turned to face the heterochromia male with a judgmental look

"hell if I know" you give Aiku a side glance "he won't leave me alone"

"hey, I was just trying to make a friend" the male smirked

you looked at him for a couple seconds, then turned to face Sae, completely discarding the taller male

"anyway" you put your right hand to your hip with a sigh "what took you so long"

"Shidou"

"oh"

"let's start now" he stood in front of you and the ball

you walked with Shidou and Sae as the three of you (was originally just you but Shidou wanted to tag along and forced Sae to join) went on a walk

you wanted to enjoy the day before the big match by going on a nice and calm walk but all was ruined with Shidou and Sae's presence

"give me your number"

"shut up"

"we should go on a date"

"fuck off"

"you should give me your home address"

.

crickets.

Sae continued to shut down all request from the blonde but that didn't stop him from continuing to ask for personal information or to go out with him

you sigh in irritation

"I need to go somewhere, wait for me here" as you were about to walk away from the two, a hand reached out and held you back

"I was forced here against my will and I refuse to be left alone with this lukewarm idiot" Sae tightened his hold on your wrist "you're not going anywhere"

"I need the bathroom man" you stare at him in the eyes so as to not look hesitant and make it obvious you were making a run for it

he stares back unresponsive and for a second, you thought he really wouldn't let go

"fine" he sighs "don't take too long"

"sure whatever" you walk into a random store

once you were in the store, you walked over to the exit on the other side and made sure to look both ways to avoid getting caught by the two males

making it outside, you made a run for it

after around half an hour, you made it to a quiet road near the beach

you had spent so much time messing around with Sae and Shidou that you hadn't realized it was pretty late

the sun was setting and as it left, it painted the sky in warm colours

you found a rocky surface on the other side of the road railing where you could sit and watch the sunset

you sat there watching the waves rock as the sound of children laughing and adults talking filled the air

despite the commotion, you still found yourself at peace

"it's a nice view right" the voice of Sae surprised you

"how'd you find me?" You looked at the male as he sat next to you

"I didn't, I just happened to be passing by and find you" he looked ahead as wind blew his magenta locks

looking closely at the male, he was pretty handsome

and had a really nice side profile

"I used to come here with my brother a lot" he spoke out of the blue

"Rin?"

"what other brother do I have" he deadpanned

"right" you scratched your head "I know it's personal and all but, why don't you and Rin get along?"

he turned his head to face you and met with your curious and wondering eyes

"We don't get along?" he answered your question with a question

"Why are you asking me? You're the one who Rin's constantly scowling and complaining about" Sae's confusion caused even more confusion for you

"Rin doesn't like me?" He asked with his eyebrows slightly raised "that's news to me"

"Wait" you put your hand in front of his face and looked down, trying to hold your laughter "don't tell me this is some kind of one-sided beef between you!"

"You tell me, I'm just as lost as you are" he shrugged

That's when you started laughing hysterically at the revelation

After all those times you had heard Rin complain about his brother, Sae being unaware of this had taken you out

Sae kept staring at you with a confused expression, which didn't help you because you began laughing even harder

After some time, your sides began hurting, indicating that you were laughing too much (it was never that funny 🌚)

You held your stomach in pain, letting a few last chuckles out before calming down

Once you were done, you looked up at Sae and asked "anyways, how'd you get rid of Shidou?"

"after we gave up looking for you, we went back to the building and I told him that if he didn't leave me alone I wouldn't be passing to him anymore" he responded

"wish I could get rid of him that easily" you slouched with a tired expression

"yeah, you're strong for having put up with him all that time" the male sweat dropped at you "I would've quit just a week in living with that lukewarm bug"

you chuckled a bit and after that, the conversation died

two socially awkward people aren't exactly the best bet for trying keep a conversation going

but honestly, it was a comfortable silence

just the two of you watching the sun set with the calming sound of waves

it was a nice evening

"ah"

"so that's team blue lock"

you were currently in the changing rooms as the players prepared to step out into the field and on the other side of the room was team blue lock

the air was tense as the players stared each other down, specifically Rin to Sae

"you U-20 idiots won't last" Shidou chuckled as he leaned on the lockers "you think you're going against silly teenagers who won't give you trouble"

"shut it you antennaed freak" sendou snarled at Shidou "watch us beat them before you even get a glimpse of the field"

"whatever you say, shitty ace" Shidou taunted

"why you—" Sendou was interrupted when Aiku put a hand to his shoulder

"don't bother, he's just teasing you" the taller male smiled at the salmon-haired male

"right..."

"hate to say it but, he's right" they turned to face you who was laid on the bench with your eyes closed

"that confident attitude of yours is what's going to cause your downfall" you opened your eyes to look up at Aiku

he stared at you silently before turning to walk away

"whatever you say" was all he said as he left with Sendou to get on field
