Dark, obsessive, frightening, disastrous, and tragic. His pitch black eyes showed every forbidden emotion that could shake anyone innocent like me to the core, but here I'm, taking the risk just like other times, staring into them like its the last castle left on planet to let me hide inside it.
The hard curves of his biceps are visible, even beneath his black radiant shirt. The muscles of his thighs are unknowingly noticeable by the slight stretch of his black pants as he's sitting on a chair with his legs open.
A small glass of champagne is held between his long, strong fingers with no visible force but still, I'm sure he could crush it into pieces with just a snap of his strength.
He's strong, he's irresistible and most importantly, he's out of my league because he's my dad's best-friend. Jeon Jungkook, South Korea's richest entrepreneur. He's in his thirties and is a bachelor that every girl could dream of marrying.
There's another thing beside Jungkook being out of my league and its something more desolate. Something so barren that it hurts me with its casualty.
Its his hatred.
His Never ending, gut-wrenching and agonizing hatred that he directs towards me. The wild hatred that I've no idea about. The bleak hatred that break my heart into pieces every-time I think about it.
Only a thin sheet of a giant glass door separates us as I'm looking at his cold demeanour. Unlike me, his whole attention is on the man sitting in front of him who's more bigger than him, more muscular even.
My dad.
He's also a matter of gossip between most young ladies because of his status, money and charming dimple smile. He was married at a young age and had me and my brother when he was only in his twenties. Sometimes, I think, dad gave up his youth just for me and Taehyung.
Shit.
I completely forgot that I was searching for my brother outside. He had become an official surgeon today, not just any but a neurosurgeon. He had been reading weird brain shit from his junior grades.
To share this big, great news with the world, -dad's words not mine- dad arranged a party in our mansion.
Our whole house is filled with dad's rich friends today, mostly elites of the society. Every parliament member of our country is here, including higher officials and honourable judges.
Dad is running in the elections this year, not just anyone but as the president of the country.
Not lying, but dad holds more power than the current president itself.
He even arranged a press conference to talk to the reporters who are standing outside the big iron gate of our mansion for god knows, how long. All they want is to have dad and his family in the headlines before other channels.
When Taehyung said this whole reporter's thingy is not necessary, then dad replied in his usual stern tone, "yes, it is necessary. Public should know what their future president's children are doing and how proud he is of his son for becoming a neurosurgeon in such a young age!"
Dad never leaves the chance to show the world how proud he is of his children. Throughout his youth, he had raised us single handedly and never once he had complained about that.
"Mam, should I bring your jacket? It's getting cold outside,"
My soul nearly jumped out of my body at one of our house butler's voice. It felt like I'm a rookie spy and someone caught me in the middle of my mission.
Placing my hand on my heart, I spoke in harsh breaths, "oh god, Denny! You were just inches away from your demise. Dad would've killed you if I had died from heart attack because of you!"
"Y/N? Princess, what are you doing outside in the cold? Come to dad."
Shit.
This wasn't supposed to go this way. Dad noticed me standing out and obviously being a spooky stalker. When I turned my head to their side, two dark, dominant eyes were already staring at me along with my dad's. I felt my heartbeat skyrocketing at the way he stares at my body up and down as if he'll eat me alive.
Our butler opened the glass door for me, motioning me to get inside. My toes curl up and I felt my legs slightly shaking. I took few deep breaths. Jeon Jungkook cannot make me weak, especially not today. The last day he affected me was on my eighteenth birthday and I'll not let him affect me anymore.
Okay, maybe thats a lie but I'm on it.
I put on my usual fake smile which I'm very much expert in. Dad wants his children to always be in a representable way because spy reporters can be anywhere and I don't want to be a reason for dad being in negative headlines.
I remember, once I didn't greet the reporters and the headline for the week was, "Kim Y/N, the daughter of our future president, is an arrogant brat."
Shaking my head internally, I stepped forward, grinning ear to ear, trying my best to façade a reaction of not being affected by the ruthless man sitting in front of dad.
"Oh, hi dad! I was searching for Taehyung. He isn't in the hall."
I said while tucking on my black Gucci dress that falls right above my knees, giving a hint of intimacy to my bare legs. I'm wearing my matching black heels. My long brown hair fall straight on my hips beautifully. A perfect red lip gloss cast a glamorous shadow on my lips.
Dad pats the armrest of his chair, signalling me to sit beside him. He might have sensed my discomfort but he doesn't know, it's not because of the dress but because of the dark soulless gaze that's travelling at my body with pure disgust and hatred. I'm not even looking at him, but I could still feel his cold eyes on me.
Dad remove his blazer and place it on my thighs because I'm actually trembling with cold, or maybe with fear, I don't know.
"Denny, turn on the heat!" Dad announced with a warning note in his voice. It signifies that he'll not wait a second longer and his commands should be met right away. Just as I assumed, I felt the temperature around me suddenly rising.
Dad takes my small hands in his big ones and blew hot air from his mouth. His voice is soft and concerned as he spoke while tugging me to his side.
"Don't be outside in the cold, princess. Look how cold you're now."
"I'm fine, dad."
"You can't say that when you're literally shaking!"
"I'll be okay that I'm inside now, dad."
"Where's your brother?"
"Probably reading his books in some corner of the house," I shrug.
"He better be at the conference on time."
"I'm never late and you know that, dad," We looked behind as Taehyung entered the living area with a book in his hands. He's wearing same tux suit just as dad's, black and royal. No doubt, he's also responsible just like him.
One of our house servant came forward and Taehyung placed his book in his hand before completely turning towards us. Dad gets up from the chair and so do I while grabbing dad's blazer in my arms.
"We'll talk tomorrow, Jungkook. I've a press conference to attend."
He also gets up from the chair and his manly scent nearly collapses every other element from the air beside me. All I can smell is him, and his anger filled body. Unlike the ball of hatred huddling inside him, he looks balanced, so unaffected and detached that sometimes I think he's not a human being.
"Sure, will meet you tomorrow at the office."
He replied looking straight into dad's eyes, then tapping Taehyung's shoulder on his way out. I released a breath that I didn't know I was holding. The fine hair on my neck also settles down as if my own body sensed that the danger is out now.
It was almost after six months that he had came in front of my eyes. Since the night of my eighteenth birthday, he had avoided me as much as he could. He even limited his visits to our home and only visited when I was at college.
I open dad's blazer behind him as he slides his arms into it. He looked at me, then at Taehyung, a satisfying look crafting his features. If dad never leaves the chance to show the world that he's proud of his children, then we also don't leave a single opportunity to make dad feel the same.
I stand in the middle as Taehyung and Dad take their place on either side of me. We walked towards the conference room which dad had made especially for occasions like these. The door opens and I almost get blinded by the flickering flashes from the cameras.
My dad is a powerful man and Me and Taehyung are the rarest and only people on this planet for whom he's is a fun loving man. Otherwise, he's a cold hearted beast as his enemies say.
Dad had always said, "No one messes up with 'Kim's' and get away with it."
And yes, that's true because he had protected us from every small to big fights of our life.
Our family is a royalty in this country and my dad is our antique while my brother is an art that shades his intelligence on all uncoloured corners of our life.
And me... I'm Kim Y/N, Kim Namjoon's daughter and Kim Taehyung's sister, a girl with a most powerful surname of this country.
A girl with enormous strength in the face of her father.
A girl with a hidden trauma that she have no memories of.
A girl that fears no one but a certain evil, Jeon Jungkook.
A/N: Please vote if you're with me in this hell of a journey 😌♥️
