this isn't going to be the funny-humor type chap like always :)

"Where is Y/n? It's been like ... 30 minutes and I'm starving!" Taehyung whines while his boyfriend , Jimin , laughs and shushes him even though he too is close to starving. He and Tae were there to accompany Jungkook and his girlfriend as a double date , something that Jungkook wasn't really looking forward to but his girlfriend thought of it as a great idea , so he had no choice but to go along with it.

"Man...I'm sorry , Kook, but I'm ordering because my stomach is about to cave in," Tae speaks again and grabs the menu laying in front of him and begins to scan it looking for something to eat. The younger boy across from him rolls his eyes and casts them to the window beside him, searching for Y/n but to no prevail, she's nowhere to be found. He sighs and slumps in his seat, feeling almost let down.

"She's probably doing something or lost track of time, she wouldn't deliberately stand you, well, us up," Jimin says softly and smiles at Jungkook but it seems like he isn't even paying attention and just thinks the worse. He sighs and shakes his head , deciding that he should just think positive instead.

"You should get some fries while we wait , maybe eating will help you feel better." Jungkook nods his head and grabs the menu in front of him.

"This veggie burger looks disgusting but also very delicious, maybe I should give it a try..."Tae mumbles to no one in particular making Jimin give him a look.

"A veggie burger? Since when have you wanted to eat one of those?"

"Since I was today years old!"

"Mom, seriously! I have a date today, I'm almost an hour late!" Y/n complains as her mom continues to ramble on about how the house should be perfect for their upcoming family reunion. Y/n was already anxious about how upset Jungkook would be walking into the diner 30 minutes late, now it was close to an hour.

"Maybe we should move the dining table to the living room , there should be enough room," Her mom mumbles and looks around , completely ignoring her daughter. Y/n groans and places the box of decorations she was holding down on the countertop and reaches over to grab her bag. She didn't want to be any more later than she already was.

"Where are you going?" Her mom asks , taking her attention away from the living room and onto Y/n,"We have a lot to do, you can't just leave."

"I have a date with Jungkook, I already told you, I'm late and I really need to go," The girl replies and hurriedly ties her shoes up before walking towards the door but her mom grabs her arm.

"It's almost dark out , though , maybe you should just reschedule it," Her mom suggests but Y/n shakes her head in disagreement.

"It wouldn't be dark out if I had left an hour ago," She replies with a hint of annoyance laced in her tone to which her mom doesn't reply but instead gives her a look.

"Fine. Have fun, Y/n."

The teenage girl nods and walks to the front door and out of the house, beginning to sprint down the sidewalk. Her house was only but two blocks away from the diner , she hopes she can make it before Jungkook and others grow tired of waiting.

But as she continues to run she knocks into someone and drops her bag making her groan.

"I'm so sorry!" The voice sounds familiar to her as she feels the person help her up. She grabs her bag and casts a look at the person to see that it's her old friend, Jin.

"Oh my gosh, Y/n?" Jin smiles and goes to give her hug to which she returns but then pushes him away.

"I really have to go , I'm sorry," She says but Jin grabs her shoulder softly.

"It's dark out, I don't think it's safe," He replies kindly and Y/n doesn't have the heart to tell him off rudely.

"I'm going to the diner just around the corner, I'll be fine," She says with a smile and tries to walk away again.

"I can walk you there, just to be safe, yano?"

Y/n wants to refuse but with him being so nice she just nods her head and they begin to walk.

"It's okay, she probably got sick and couldn't even leave her bed," Tae pats Jungkook's shoulder reassuringly and grabs Jimin's hand. It had been almost an hour and a half and Jungkook's mom had called, saying how she needed him for something.

He couldn't help but feel hurt knowing that his girlfriend had stood him up, especially when she was the one who wanted to have a double date so badly.

"Yea, Tae is right and besides I'm sure she wouldn't do this on purpose," Jimin says but Jungkook only nods his head and the three of them continue to walk ahead. It's silent besides the few cars who drive along side them and Tae and Jimin who bicker about what mode is better in minecraft.

But a sudden familiar voice makes Jungkook perk up and he begins to walk faster ahead of the bickering couple. Maybe she is coming.

He continues to walk ahead and suddenly stops at the sight of Y/n walking and laughing with an unfamiliar male.

"Y/n?"

😔 this was horrible i'm so sorry ! i tried to make angst bc i have no other ideas and i'm so blocked and ugh
