YOU GRABBED A FIST OF POPCORN FROM THE BOWL, sonic held it over his legs as he looked at the screen.

his arm laid on the back of the couch but you knew it would have soon ended around your shoulders.

"all right, it's movie night at casa de sonic and it's your turn to pick." he spoke, crunching on the food "but i am not watching mulan again."

"then i'm not rewatching john wick 2!" you replied, annoyed with his small rule.

"your movie is the worst!" he sing songed, earning a punch to the shoulder that almost made him choke on the popcorns.

you were about to attack your prey when suddenly the light were shut off, the hedgehog laughed happily "blackout!"

you, who usually weren't so afraid of the dark, let your mind wonder for a moment — it didn't went unnoticed to your brain how it looked really similar to your nightmares.

the blue mobian zoomed away, and he returned with a flashlight, when he turned it on he had a blanket over his head.

"oooohhh... [naaameeeee]..." he did his best impression of a spooky voice, pointing the light at his face.

you strongly grabbed the flashlight from his hand, an empty stare that you reserved only for his dumb moments was present on your face.

before you could threw some kind of insult at him, the tv screen showed a static image, startling the hedgehog.

he gulped, trying to regain his courage when he noticed how impassive you were, and he started to walk outside the room with you following behind him.

"excuse me? we did not order a poltergeist." he spoke as he entered the other room, the light buzzed above you.

"if this is the pizza guy, this is really unprofessional." you heard him say as you walked in front of him, silently reaching the door.

he shut his mouth when he noticed the change in your attitude, you were in stealth mode now — yes, he had named it.

you pressed your ear against the door, there weren't any noises coming from the other side but you could feel that there was something.

you pushed yourself away from the wood before sparks started to surround the nob, you both backed away from the flames.

after it fell off the door was slowly pushed open and it revealed a bald men with a big pair of mustaches, doctor robotnik, his finger glowed as he held it up.

"eggman?" called sonic as you took a defensive stance.

the doctor blew out the taser like a candel as he looked at you two "hello, aliens. did you miss me?"

"no" you answered drily, your fists tightening.

"i don't know how you got back, but you made a big mistake coming here." the hedgehog's eyebrows furrowed.

"oh contraire mon frère! the mistake was thinking that you've won." talked back robotnik.

"you know that i can kill you even without my gun, right?" you made him remember of your last encounter and you could have swore that something similar to fear appeared in his mind.

he shook his head, trying to forget about that "your victory was just a prelude, an hors d'oeuvre, an aperitif, an amuse-bouche-"

"we get it!" interrupted him the mobian trough gritted teeth.

he chuckled "i don't think you do." he stepped forward "but you're about to. and so will that idiot sheriff and his wife."

sonic made a fist, chaos energy building up his fist from the tip of his fingers to his wrist.

"and your little dog, too!" you growled as those words left the doctor's mouth.

before you could say anything back the alien at your side jumped forward, ready to punch the man in the face.

but before his gloved hand could touch him, robotnik moved to the side, revealing a red someone mirroring sonic's move.

you eyebrows shoot upwards in surprise as you caught a glimpse of his face, your head suddenly throbbing in pain.

"unexpected" you heard the doctor say, referring to your groaning figure "but i expected to win this round so it doesn't count"

knuckles punched sonic right through the wall and you realized how serious the problem actually was, you pushed forward, ignoring the pain.

you met his purple eyes, and you noticed that when he saw you he looked surprised too, his orbs moving up and down to scan your body.

"[name]?" you froze when you heard your name coming out of his mouth, your head tilting to the side.

"who-" you could not finish your sentence, robotnik teased you, his fingers jamming at your side.

you groaned and growled, your knees buckling under you, you gritted your teeth and you tightened your fist before you punched him in the face.

you would have laughed at his body laying on the ground if it hadn't been for the life or death situation you were in.

before he could get up you watched the red alien standing still, almost frozen in place, you took it as your clue and you ran towards the kitchen.

you started to open the drawers, searching into all of them.

you heard eggman scold the new guy and he told him to focus back on the blue hedgehog instead than on you.

you kept a stack of your weapons inside the house, sonic had convinced you to find an hiding spot and you hadn't argue back when you had found him under your treehouse with a bag full of different guns and bullets.

even if the wachowski didn't know about it — they had knew at first but they had scolded you because they didn't want anyone to find guns inside their drawers.

you heard more commotion, probably a wall falling down since the whole house shook, and you fastened your researches.

you took out a drawer and you stuck your hand inside the space, taking out a belt which had lots of bullets and guns stacked around.

you took a couple of deep breaths before you came out of the room.

you passed trough the hole in the wall, you noticed the doctor eating your popcorns and you shoot right at the bowl.

eggman dropped the food before he turned around, ducking down and pushing his hands up to cover himself.

"why is it always you and your guns?" groaned out the man, his voice almost trembling as you walked in his direction.

"let's end this quickly" you cocked your weapon "i can't stand your mustache anymore"

he pulled up his hand, holding one finger up, you tilted your head in confusion as he moved the finger left and right "i would wait a moment" he motioned with his chin towards the garden and you turned to look in the direction.

sonic was pinned against a tree, the other alien had his hand around the hedgehog's throat.

you moved your eyes back at the human, he shrugged and you let your arms fell down at your side, annoyed.

he smiled strangely and you felt goosebump crawl up your back, before he could keep this expression the barrel of your gun hit his forehead.

you smirked at his unconscious figure before you turned around to look at the red warrior, who was still holding your blue friend, and you jumped down on the grass.

you pointed your weapon to the sky, fairing and letting the noise grab the alien's attention.

he turned around slowly, your scowl matching his, he let go of the hedgehog's neck as he stepped toward you.

he repeated your name, and you knew that your confusion was clear on your face.

"you are short" he commented, he didn't stop in front of you instead walking in a circle and forcing you to do the same to keep your distance.

"and i don't know who you are" you replied, your fingers gripping the weapon in your hand.

"don't play dumb with me" he growled at you and you couldn't stop yourself from growling back "you work with the apprentice of longclaw?" he accused you.

before you could answer with a smart remark you heard the blue mobian spoke from behind you "you knew longclaw?"

you turned around, you saw him still laying on the floor looking really wounded up and you worried for his health.

a fist hit your chin and it sent you flying to the side, you collided against the ground and you felt it dip under the weight of your fall.

"shit" you spitted out as you tried to push yourself back up on your feet "you pack a strong punch"

"i grew stronger" he walked near you "i can't say the same about you, [name]" his fists rose towards the sky and he tried to land them on your face but you rolled to the side, missing them.

"tell me about longclaw!" begged the mobian as you straightened up, cracking your fingers.

"longclaw and her people were the sworn enemy of my tribe" he tried to hit you again but you moved to the right and he missed again.

"the echidna" finished the red alien as he referred to his tribe.

you decided that you were done being in defensive mode and you pushed yourself forward, missing another one of his punch and crawling over his head.

"we fought and died at their hands, and now he will die in mine." he taunted.

you tried to punch him in the face but he grabbed your hands and he threw you back against the floor.

your mind pounded, like when he had called your name, and you found yourself screaming in pain as you gripped your head.

a name repeated over and over like a mantra, the voices screaming in the back of your mind.

"fuck!" you shouted out loud as you punched the ground, an hole forming under the weight of your knuckles.

you gasped as flashes of a past life passed through your mind, a thousands of images filling your head.

"knuckles!" you called.

he tilted his head "uh?" and he watched your body contorting around in pain.

suddenly a police car crashed through the fence, it headed right toward knuckles, hitting him and sending him into a little house.

a yellow fox appeared from the window of the driving seat, he spoke to the hedgehog — who was finally up on his feet — "come on! get in! i'm on your side!" he shouted a little worried.

"i'm sorry, who are you?" asked sonic as he grunted in pain.

you were frozen in your spot, looking at the head coming out of the car, the yellow head that you had been dreaming about for the last couple years.

maybe this was a dream too, it had to be.

he was there, he was real, and he was alive.

you whispered his name but it was to low for him to hear, you stepped forward and you tried again.

"tails?"
