"Do you think he's alive?" I asked, causing Stiles to look over at me. We were seated back in the main waiting area of the train station. After we spoke to Scott and Lydia we came out here and sat down, there wasn't much else we could do.

"Peter?" Stiles questioned.

"Yeah, do you think he made it?" I confirmed.

Stiles nodded slightly, "Yeah, I think he made it. Hopefully if he's a better person than we all thought he's talked to Malia."

"I wouldn't hold your breath." I grumbled, leaning back in the chair and letting out a groan, "I'm so bored." I complained, quickly changing the subject.

Stiles looked over at me with a chuckle, "We can play a game." he suggested.

"A game Stiles?  Really? We're basically awaiting an impending life sentence being trapped in this place and you want to play a game?"

"Well if we're going to be here forever we might as well make it somewhat enjoyable." he argued, an amused grin on his face.

A small smile soon cracked my serious facade as I looked over at the older boy who was like my other brother, "Fine, what game do you suggest then?"

Stiles thought for a moment before speaking, "What about 'I Spy', you used to beg Scott and I over and over again to play that game with you anytime we were in the car."

I smiled at the memory of the 3 of us when we were little, "Yeah, I Spy sounds great."

---

So, It turns out I Spy wasn't very fun in a small area where everything basically looked the same. After about 10 minutes of playing both of us had given up.

"So now we just sit here and hope that they figure out a way to get us out right?" I mumbled, turning to look at Stiles who was slumped down in his chair, his eyes tired and droopy.

"Yeah," he whispered, "I guess so."

My hand landed on the necklace that Liam had given me, a surge of hope running through my body, "They'll figure out a way. They-we always do."

Stiles sighed and gave me a weak nod. He was exhausted, he had been working to find a way out since he got here, and he was beginning to realize there wasn't much else we could do.

I looked with sad eyes at the tired boy who had done everything he could to take care of me, not only since I arrived at this station, but my entire life.

"Go to sleep Stiles," I said softly, shifting over so he could lay his head down on my lap.

He looked over at me and shook his head, "I'm fine." he lied.

"Go to sleep, I'll be okay." I promised, knowing that he was worried to drift off and leave me alone. Stiles stared at me for a long moment before laying down on my lap, his eyes instantly shutting and he began to drift into unconsciousness.

---

Once Stiles fell asleep,I let myself go for a moment. I had being putting on a front basically since I had gotten here, but truth be told- I was terrified. I dropped my head as the tears began following, I brought my hands up to my face so no one would see me, and I cried, I cried harder than I had in what felt like months. I covered my mouth with my hands, trying to stifle any noises that were trying to come out.

"Syd?"

I looked down, my eyes meeting Stiles' which instantly softened when he saw my tear stained faced, "Hey," he whispered, sitting up and pulling me towards his chest, "What's wrong."

"I'm scared, Stiles. I'm really scared. What if I never see Scott again? Or Liam? Or-" I sobbed into the older boy's chest.

"We can't think like that." Stiles soothed, resting his chin on top of my head, "We have to stay positive okay?"

I let out a shaky breath as I nodded.

Just then an announcement went over the intercom, announcing the next train that was 'going' to come. Stiles stood up, dragging me towards the arrival/departures board.

"What are we-"

Stiles motioned for me to be quiet as he listened to something, something that I couldn't hear, "I hear her voice, Syd."

"Who's voice?" I asked in confusion.

"Lydia. I hear her." he answered, turning his head to where he heard her. "Lydia?" he called, as he began pushing through the crowd.

I followed behind him, being stopped by numerous people who would not get out of my way. Suddenly a loud bang went off and for a moment I was afraid it was the Ghost Riders.

"Give the boy some room!" A male's voice called, a voice in which I recognized.

"Dad!" Stiles yelled, rushing towards his father who he engulfed in a hug.

I watched in pure happiness as the two Stilinski men reunited. As they pulled apart Sheriff smiled at me, pulling my into a hug.

"I think I can hear Lydia, I think she can get us out of here." Stiles announced.

My happiness and hope was shattered when the sound of horses filled the air.

"You two have got to get out of here." Sheriff instructed, "Don't worry about me." he said, beginning to turn towards where the Ghost Riders were coming from.

"Wait, you're kidding me right?" Stiles asked as he began to follow his father.

"Go, get help, find your friends." Sheriff ordered.

"Yeah and what about you?" Stiles asked.

Sheriff smiled, "We'll find each other again."

"Dad!" Stiles yelled firmly.

"Stiles, I'll hold 'em back. Now get the hell out of here."

Stiles looked at me and I gave him a worried look. He took one last glance before grabbing my hand and pulling me along with him as he ran into one of the tunnels and down the tracks. He held onto me as we ran, only stopping when a green light illuminated the air. After staring at it for a moment, Stiles started forward again.

"I can hear her!" Stiles said excitedly, his eyes locked on the rift.  I felt sadness wash over me. I couldn't hear Lydia which meant I couldn't go through.

I stopped, causing Stiles to stop as well, "What are you doing?" he asked, looking at me in shock.

"I can't go Stiles." I announced, my lip quivering, tears threatening to fall.

"Why not?" he asked almost harshly, shocked at my hesitation.

"The rift isn't for me, Stiles. Lydia opened it for you, she remembers you. I can't hear her voice like you can. Only one of us can go through and it's not me." I explained, watching as his face fell in sadness.

"No, I'm not- I'm not leaving you here."

"You have to Stiles. I'll be okay, but you have to go now." I ordered, holding back the tears as Stiles stared at me, shaking his head. "Stiles please," I added, "You go back and you figure out a way to get your dad and I out okay?"

Stiles finally nodded, pulling me into a tight hug before turning towards the rift, "I'll get you out Syd, I promise." And with that, he turned and he ran through the rift, disappearing from sight and leaving me alone.

I let out a sob as I collapsed to my knees on the tracks. Stiles was gone and I wasn't sure if I was ever going to see him again
