"There's four steps." Stiles announced taking a deep breath, "We get into Eichen, we get into the closed unit, we get Lydia, and we get out."

I chewed on the inside of my cheek, trying to figure out a way that we could actually pull this off. I wanted nothing more than to get Lydia out of Eichen House. When I heard her mother had put her in that place I was furious, not as mad as Stiles, but close.

We wanted to get Lydia out as soon as possible for obvious reasons, such that she was our friend and that place was horrible- that was our main motive. But the underlying reason was also held in the fact that we couldn't defeat the Beast without her.

"And we have to do all of this while getting past orderlies, guards, electronic door locks and a mountain ash barrier." Scott pointed out.

I let out a sigh as did Liam, this was going to be a lot harder than I thought.

"You have a plan for all that?" Malia confirmed.

Stiles held up a key card, "Stole this last night off an orderly." he said giving all a bit of hope that this would be easier, "But it's useless cause they reset the cards each night." he mumbled.

"So why'd you take it?" Kira asked.

"Getting to that." Stiles replied pocketing the card.

"They only way to get Lydia out of Eichen is to get that card to work again." Scott explained.

"How are we going to do that?" Liam questioned.

"I'm getting to that, just hold on." Stiles answered looking down at his laptop for a moment and then turning it so it was facing the 4 of us, "I pulled all the history off of the key card. Two weeks there was a brown out, security system rebooted. During a reboot all the key cards are revert back to a default code, so if we trigger a reboot-"

"The card goes back to the default code and it works again." I mumbled finishing Stiles' sentence.

Stiles pointed at me, a small grin coming to his face as he nodded in approval.  "Exactly."

"How are we going to cause a brown out?" Kira wondered from where she stood around the kitchen island.

"That's your part." Scott told her, "You're going to draw power from the main line, but only enough to cause the brown out."

"Not a black out." Stiles emphasized, "You do that, you send Eichen into lockdown, which would be bad. Very bad."

"There's an electrical room behind the reception counter." Scott pointed out the room on the map of Eichen house that we had laid out on the counter, "The main power line goes into two breakers that run power to all of Eichen."

"Okay, slight problem." Kira said letting out a breathy laugh, "I don't know how to do that."

"That's okay, you have time to practice." Scott reassured his girlfriend.

"Okay, let's say this all goes perfectly. How does a brown out get us in to the closed unit of Eichen?" Malia asked.

"The system takes five minutes to reboot and in that five minutes all the alarms will be turned off. The key card should work." Stiles explained.

"Liam, you and I get Stiles and Sydney to the door of the closed unit, but after that they're own their own. We can't get passed the mountain ash barrier." Scott laid out the game plan as I looked around at the faces of my friends, anxiety was evident on all of them. "And while we're gone, all anyone is going to think is that there was a reboot of the  security system caused by a brownout."

"Uh anyone questions?" Stiles asked, reminding me too much of a teacher.

"How do we get into Eichen in the first place?" Liam asked.

"What's the worst case scenario?" Malia shot out at the same time.

"What if I can't do it?" Kira chimed in.

"Are you sure you can pull this off?" I questioned.

"Okay, Syd thanks for the moral support," Stiles remarked,  "And admittedly a lot could go wrong." he admitted.

"Everything could go wrong." Liam pointed out.

"Guys, if we don't do this we lose Lydia. She's going to die in there tonight and she might take a lot of innocent people with her." Scott mentioned, that seemed to shut everyone up.

"We can do it." I announced, my whole view on this changing, "We have to."

---

I tapped my foot anxiously as I waited beside Stiles in the police station. I was sent with him to convince Parrish to drive the police van that would be carrying Stiles, Liam, Scott and I in body bags, which my brother and Liam had been assigned to get.  I was sent with Stiles due to the fact that supposedly 'Parrish couldn't say no to a face like mine' Stiles' words not mine.

"Okay that's the stupidest plan I've ever heard." Parrish announced sliding the keys towards us.

"No, the plan is perfect, and it will work perfectly if you agree to drive the van." Stiles slid the keys back to Parrish."

"Is the Sheriff on board with this?" the young deputy asked, eyeing Stiles and I skeptically.

"How do you think I got the keys?" Stiles asked as if it was obvious.

"I thought you stole them." Parrish retorted.

"While that's a perfectly reasonable assumption," Stiles admitted,  "I did not steal them."

"Parrish we really need you," I began, drawing his attention toward me,  "All the Eichen guards know all the Sheriff's Deputies so we need a real one. You're a real one." I stuck my bottom lip out in a pout and linked my hands tucking them under my chin to make it look like I was begging him.

He eyed me for a moment before sighing, "You brought her on purpose didn't you?" he questioned, looking over at Stiles.

"Depends," Stiles announced,  "Is she doing her job?"

Parrish's eyes fell downward, "It's not safe to bring me along."

Stiles gave him a confused look, urging him to explain.

"I'm dangerous." he  whispered.

"Yeah, so is a giant murdering werewolf who has killed over 30 people but somehow didn't kill you." Stiles pointed out.

Parrish looked at Stiles and then to me before sighing and taking the keys.

As we turned to leave, Stiles turned to me with a smile, "Good job little one." he praised, patting me on the head.

I pulled away from his touch, sending him a scowl before a grin covered my face. "You owe me ice cream." I announced, reminding him of our deal.

Stiles playfully rolled his eyes as he pushed open the door. "Yeah, yeah I'll buy you ice cream once this is all over."

---

"She took out the whole school?" Scott questioned in disbelief.

"She took out the whole grid." Malia corrected.

I slumped further into the couch as the news that it would be harder to cause out brownout than we thought was presented to the group. Liam let out a small sigh from the seat beside me.

"I failed every single practice try" Kira admitted,  "This isn't going to work."

"How far can we get without the brownout?" Liam asked. I turned to look at him, my eyes staying glued to his face as Stiles spoke up.

"The front door." he answered, sass dripping from his every word.

"We're going." Scott confined, dousing any worries that our plan was going to get called off.

As Kira began to list of reasons why she couldn't do it, Liam turned to look at me. "Why are you staring at me?" he whispered.

I snapped out of whatever trance I was in, "I wasn't."

"Yes you were." he argued, a small smirk on his lips.

"Pay attention." I ordered, pulling my eyes away from him to motion to Scott.

Liam let out a small laugh as my brother continued speaking. "Does anyone here think she can't do it." He asked, attempting to instill some self confidence in Kira,

"Not me." Liam answered.

"I'm the one who put you in the plan in the first place." Stiles pointed out.

"You can do it, I know you can." I said giving Kira a reassuring smile.

When Malia didn't say anything, all our eyes fell on her. "What?" she asked, as if it wasn't obvious.

"I believe in you Kira." Stiles whispered, trying to get his girlfriend to say the same words.

"I'm the one that's going to be locked in an electrical room with her!" Malia argued, making a valid point.

I raised my brows at her, waiting for her to convince Kira she could do it. Malia rolled her eyes at me as she turned to Kira, "You can do it." She finally managed to spit out.

Kira looked around at all of us who were smiling contently, "You guys are all crazy, we're gonna die."

"At least we'll die together." I cheered with an enthusiastic smile.

"Shut up Sydney." Stiles shook his head in slight amusement.

"Will do." I muttered, falling back onto the couch.
