"You need to quiet down, I'm trying to read this." Kallie said to her screaming child who was being extra loud to get her attention. "I want Baba!" She whined. Kallie looked up incredulously, "you don't have a Baba. Do you mean my Baba?" Kami shook her head, tears falling from her cheeks, "I want Lewis." She received an annoyed look from her exhausted mother, "are you serious? Lewis is what you're crying about? We don't even know if he's in Monaco right now. He could be in London or something."
"Lewis!" Kami cried, hitting her mum's arm.
"Okay, I'm really starting to think you inherited my anger issues," Kallie mumbled, moving her daughter's hand away before grabbing her phone. Kami immediately went to her side to see if she was calling Lewis.

Kallie looked up hearing the doorbell, Kami was quick to get off the couch. "No running!" Kallie quickly got up, picking up her daughter before she fell face first. She walked to the door and pulled it open, Kami smiling brightly, "Lewis!" He grinned, stepping inside and kicking off his shoes. Roscoe walked in next, looking around the big house. It was much bigger than her London home. "There's my favorite girl." Lewis set down the food and took Kami into his arms, the girl wrapping her small arms around his neck.
Kallie took the food and grabbed a burrito out, "thanks for the food. I would pay you back but you're already rich. Have fun. I'll be by the pool." She kissed Kami's head and walked off, leaving the two alone. Lewis chuckles, looking at the girl, "wanna watch a movie?" Kami nods, resting her head on his shoulder as he picked up the bag of food. She pointed to the living room as he had never been to Kallie's Monaco house. They settled on the Karate Kid, the Jaden Smith version, because Kami had never seen it yet.
Lewis looked down at Kami, the girl holding her burrito as she watched the movie. "Has your mum ever brought any guys home?"
Kami looked up at him with uncertainty before she smiled, "Uncle Nico!"
Lewis returned a firm smile and patted her shoulder, "good try."
Kallie sat on the pool chair, biting into her burrito as she looked through her emails. She rolled her eyes at the payment confirmation from her card. She pressed confirm and the payment went through. She had gotten fined a pretty hefty amount of money for putting hands on Nyck de Vries. It's not like it did a dent her account anyways, but it was still annoying. Formula E didn't even fine her this much when she touched someone's car.
She frowned at the new email from the team, her eyes skimming through it. She cursed in anger, quickly reaching for her phone and calling Maeanna. They argued for a bit, and Kallie was not pleased at all. "No, I'm not okay with it! She can't do that! Tell Kaylen to do it!" Kallie exclaimed at her phone. "She's the CEO, and she already accepted it. You have to do it, Kallie. There's no getting out of this. Just suck it up!" Maeanna replied, after a while she learned you had to yell back or Kallie wouldn't hear a word you said.
"Why must she insist on ruining my life?! I'm so close to running her over!" Kallie grunts, hanging up the phone and throwing it to the side, fighting the urge to toss it in the pool.
She glanced over her shoulder, a smile reaching her lips as her anger faded. Kami was attempting to do karate and Lewis had moved all the furniture out of the way to teach her. He fixed Kami's positioning and then held his hand up. "Okay, kick my hand now." Kami nods, throwing her leg up to kick him but she just fell into the fluffy carpet. Before she could cry, Lewis was quick to help reassure her. "That's okay. We can try again. I didn't get it on the first try either."
Kallie chuckles softly and turned her attention back to the laptop. Responding to the last email, she shut her laptop and picked up her ringing phone. She answered it, not bothering to check the number. "Who is it?" She laid back and kicked her feet up boredly. "Go out with me. Tonight. I'll pick you up." She raised a brow at the familiar voice and double checked the contact that read 'pure evil' which equaled Nyck de Vries. "Why should I?"
"Don't be stubborn. Just let me make it up to you. Will you?" He spoke, his voice reeking of desperation.
"Just-- hold on. I need to get someone to watch my daughter. I'll call you back, okay?" Kallie stood up, hanging up the phone after getting a word of agreement. She pushed open the glass door, Lewis and Kami both turning to look up at her. "Can we talk?" He nods, standing up from the soft rug. "Stay here with Roscoe. I'm gonna go talk to your mum." Kamiyah nods and smiles, watching the two walk into the dining room.
"Do you mind watching Kamiyah for the night?" She asked, clasping her fingers together.
"Yeah, of course. Is this about work?" He questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Uh, no. It's...just dinner. Not a big deal." Kallie said, awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck, completely avoiding his eyes. He tilt his head filled with curiosity, eyeing her shifty behavior. He knew it was way more than dinner. And, it disappointed him. "You're going on a date, aren't you?" She still didn't meet his eyes, just nodding her head meekly. "Yes. I am. You're not mad, are you?" She finally looked up, brown eyes clashing with his.
"I can't really be mad. We're just...friends. You made your feelings clear with me." He shrugged coyly, but despite this, she still felt incredibly guilty. Something really didn't feel right. "Uh, thanks for watching her. I should go get dressed," she awkwardly turned on her heel, pulling open the door and walking out.
Kami looked up, frowning when she seen Lewis walk out of the dining room looking really disappointed and hurt. He sat down on the rug, putting on a smile for his girl. "How do you feel about going out to the pool?" He asked. Kami nods, and reached her hand up to wipe a tear that fell from his eye. "Baba sad?" Lewis smiled, pulling her into his lap, "just a little bit. Love is a very powerful feeling. Which is why it hurts so much when it's being denied. You'll understand when you're older and meet a person you fancy."
"You love Mama?" She asked, resting her head on his shoulder.
"I do. I love your mum a lot. She means the world to me, and so do you." Lewis answered, pressing a kiss to her head and she smiled, hugging onto him to provide comfort.
"Mama love you, too." She mumbled into his shirt.
A few hours later, Kallie walked downstairs and headed to the back where Lewis and Kamiyah were in the pool. "Hey, I'm leaving. Just came to say bye." She spoke, putting on the final earring and bending down as they swum over to the edge. Lewis put his arms up on the ledge and Kami tried to copy him by setting hers on his head as she sat on his shoulders. "You could be an actual queen with that level of beauty. The most beautiful one of all," Lewis said, looking her up and down. She wore a fitted dress that hugged her body in the most perfect way.
A smile reached her lips, a rush of heat hitting her cheeks. "Thank you. That's very kind."
"Pretty!" Kami smiled, clapping her small hands. Kallie chuckled softly, "thank you, babygirl. I love you so much. Try not to give Lewis a hard time, okay?" Kami nods, and Kallie pressed a kiss to her head before backing up. "Okay. I should go now. Have fun. Brush your teeth before bed, okay?" They watched as she rushed back inside. He set Kami on the concrete and climbed out of the pool. "Let's go spy on your mum. Sound good?"
Kami just stares at him, having no clue what he was going on about. He shrugged, grabbing a small towel and wrapping it around her. He put one around him next before picking her up and heading inside the house. He went up to the windows in front and watched as Kallie locked the front door. She went towards the car in driveway, which happened to be a black Aston Martin. He squints his eyes in suspicion, trying to see who was driving the car.
Nyck climbed out of the car and walked around, pulling open the passenger door for her. "You look very beautiful," he said. "Thank you, but this doesn't mean I like you. I'm just willing to hear you out." Kallie said, shrugging her shoulder. He chuckles in amusement, nodding his head, "okay, but we're still going to dinner." She slid into the passenger seat comfortably and he shut the door, walking around to drivers side.
Lewis scoffed, both him and Kami scowling at the scene. "Your mum is crazy. What has this guy got that I don't?"
Kami nods in agreement, "crazy."
"On the brightside, this means she'll be back with me in known time. He ain't got shit on me." Lewis shrugged, shutting the window. Kami giggles, "shit." His eyes widened at her usage of the curse word. "Whoa, okay, you cannot say that. It's a bad word. Your mum is gonna kill me." She just giggled, repeating the word three more times. "Will you stop saying the bad word if I give you ice cream?" He pleaded, walking them into the kitchen, making note to mop up the water that was on the floor from them dripping.
"Stwahberry," Kami giggles, and he snorts at her inaccurate pronunciation again but it was probably just her little accent that affected her English. He could hear her accent grow stronger as she aged. He was very glad she didn't get her biological dad's American accent. Lewis preferred her unique accent. "Let's see if your mum's got strawberry," he mumbled, pulling open the freezer but not seeing any ice cream. The freezer was quite empty actually.
"Mama make it," Kami informed like it should've been obvious.
"She makes ice cream? Where does she find the time for that?" Lewis questioned, completely bewildered by this. Kami points to the drawer and he pulled it open, seeing the instructions to make homemade strawberry ice cream. "Can't I just go buy it?" He questioned, and she shook her head. "Bad for me." He sighed, nodding in understanding. He set her down on the counter and grabbed the instructions.
After one failed attempt, he successfully made homemade strawberry ice cream. They let it sit in the freezer to cool up more and ate some dinner that he also made. Kallie had lots of recipes lying around in her drawers for some reason. They laid down in the living room, ate some ice cream and watched another movie before he took her upstairs to take her a bath. "I feel like I'm in the wrong bathroom," he mumbled, looking around and not seeing any baby products.
"Mama battroom." Kami mumbled inaccurately. "Right. That makes sense. Where's your mama's room?"
He picked her up and she led him down the hall to the large room at the end of the hall. It had two wooden double doors that pushed in. "This is very nice." He comments, overlooking the clean room. Her bed was pushed up against the strong glass wall, two bedside tables on each side. It smelled of coconut, had a forest scent going on from the candle she had previously lit. There was a TV mounted in the corner and a crib near it that used to be connected to the bed. She still had yet to take it down. Kami was big enough to sleep on her own and in a bed, so the crib wasn't very useful anymore.
He carried her into the bathroom, setting her on the counter to run the bath. "Pink and blue or purple and green?" He asked, holding up the two bath bombs that were in a glass bowl on the counter. Kami pointed to the purple and green with a smile. "Good choice." Lewis opened it up and set it in the tub, Kami watching from afar as it dissolved in the warm water. Meanwhile Lewis was frantically going through the cabinets to find all the soaps, towels, and diapers.
He finally found everything and helped her out of the sticky clothes she wore, courtesy of the messy ice cream. She now sat in the bathtub playing with the bath toys. "What do you wanna be when you get older?" He asked, squeezing some of the soap onto his hand. "Race car! Like Mama!" Kami cheered, holding up the funko pop of her mother. Kallie had a specific one she let Kami use for the bath. And the other ones were displayed in the gaming room.
"I really hope you grow out of that," Lewis chuckles, aware that Kallie wanted Kami to do anything but be a driver. And it wasn't because she couldn't do it, but it was because she didn't want her daughter to have that kind of pressure on her. Second generation drivers always had a certain pressure on them, and some of them would crumble under it. She didn't want that to happen to Kami is all. And Lewis completely agreed with her on that.
"You could also go down the music route. I'm sure Kezie could help you out there," Lewis adds, pulling up a stool so he didn't keep hurting his knees. Kami put her head back as he rubbed the shampoo onto her curls. He smiled at her adorable face, using the cup to wash the soap off. "You got your mum's beautiful brown eyes." Kami smiled, playing with the doll of Kezie's Marvel character.
"What's your favorite thing to do with your mum?" He asked, trying to bond with her the best he could.
"Make food," Kami answered.
"What do you like do for fun?" He asked, grabbing some more soap just to make sure she wouldn't be sticky anymore. "Beach," she mumbled, dunking the doll under the water. "When you get older, I'm definitely teaching you how to surf. You're gonna love it." Lewis chuckles, pressing a kiss to her hand and she giggled.
"Marry Mama?" Kami asked, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.
Lewis pursed his lips, the thought was definitely intriguing, but he wasn't even at the dating bases yet so marriage seemed like a bit of a reach. "Uhh...I'm doin' my best with what I got. Your mum is by no means, easy to work with. She's the most complicated person ever. I'm still figuring her out. But, best believe, it's gonna work out, alright? I'm not leaving you. We're already attached at the hip." He rambled, and she just giggled at him.
"Blush," she teased, poking his cheek.
"I'm not blushing," he denied, breaking out into a smile at her toothy grin.
After the bath and brushing her teeth, she showed him the way to her room, which was right next to Kallie's room. She had long purple curtains covering the floor to ceiling window, and along the walls were paintings of race cars that Kezie spent three months doing as a baby gift. Lewis squints at the details, one of them was a 2020 Mercedes car and he knew it was his when he saw the number 44 on it. But, right next to his car, was Nico's car, the one he had won his first world championship in.
"Uncle Nico car!" Kamiyah said, pointing to the car, unaware that Lewis knew exactly what car it belonged to. "Who's this car?" He quizzed, pointing to the red Ferrari car. Kami jumps in excitement, "Sebby car!" Lewis chuckles, he recognized it to be Sebastian's car when he seen the number. Kez refused to put a Red Bull car on her niece's walls, so she opted for his Ferrari instead. To say Kez did not fuck with Red Bull was an understatement. It was mostly because they used and drained Sang when he worked there.
Right next to Seb's car was Kimi's car, and of course Kez had painted Lewis's car hitting the back of Kimi's, clearly referencing when Lewis hit Kimi in the pitlane on his 2nd year in F1. He chuckles and Kami points to another car, "Kaylie!" Then she pointed to the separate wall with every single car Kallie had ever professionally driven in her career. "Mama's cars!" Lewis looked at the wall in complete awe, it was very beautiful work from Keziyah.
Kami grabbed his hand, dragging him over to the last wall that he had yet to see. It was definitely her favorite that Kez painted. "Mama! Baba! Nico!" Kami cheered. His eyes widened at the very realistic painting of Kallie, Lewis, and Nico all standing in front of their karts. It was one of the few photos of all three of them together. "That's...incredible. Is that why you were cool to me when we first met? You recognized me?" He questioned.
She just stared up and blinked once, having no idea what he was going on about. She was just happy to show him her room. Not giving him much time to think, she walked over to her closet and he was quick to follow, remembering she needed some clothes. She refused to sleep in only a diaper. "Does your mum choose your outfits?" He asked, sitting on the little sofa in her walk in closet as she pulled open a dresser. She had a ton of clothing, mostly because Kezie had shopping sprees and came home with tons of stuff for Kami.
"No." Kami picked out her Ferrari pj's with a smile and held them up to Lewis for approval.
He smiled and nodded, "very good choice. Is Ferrari your favorite team?" He queried.
Kami nods, setting the clothes on his knee. "Forza Ferrari," she giggled, repeating what her Aunt Kez always said when Ferrari was winning. "Great pronunciation. I'll assume that Kez taught you that." He mused, taking the pj shirt and pulling it over her head once she held her arms up. After changing, he scooped her up and carried her to the bed, Roscoe somehow finding his way onto it.
"Story?" She requested as he tucked her into the bed nicely, her arm holding onto the Lewis plushie that Jae-hyun had gotten her when he worked for Mercedes.
"Uh, okay." Lewis sat down on the stool next to her bed, and quickly thought of something in his head. "Once upon a time, there was a girl who met these two crazy best friends. But, she only grew to be friends with one of them, so the other boy was very left out. He had a big crush on the girl, but he was so afraid of talking to her in fear of being rejected. He completely blows his chances when she leaves to become one of the best drivers of her generation."
"Years pass, and they finally meet again. This time, he doesn't miss his chance." Lewis spoke, the girl listening with tired eyes. "Married?" She asked in a tired whisper. He nods with a small smile, "yeah, they get married and have the perfect little family. They all live happily ever after." Kami smiles, closing her eyes as sleep clouded her mind. "Good night, Baba."
"Sweet dreams, my little driver. I love you." Lewis pressed a kiss to her head before walking out of the room, not before he made sure the baby monitor was on. He had no idea that Kallie had happened to check her security cameras, and seen the whole thing.
He walked downstairs and cleaned up just a bit before laying down on the couch and turning on Kezie's new music video for her newest song, Come Through featuring Bryson Tiller. "So adding this to my playlist," he mumbled, picking up his phone. He ended up rewatching all of Kezie's old music videos throughout the night. Don't ask. He's secretly her biggest fan. But don't let Lando hear that or he'll start a competition.
He suddenly could hear the gates open and quickly jumped up, running over to the window. The same Aston Martin pulled into the driveway, Kallie pulled open her door and stepped out, Nyck doing the same. Lewis scoffed in judgement, "couldn't have opened her door like a gentleman?" Kallie brushed her braids back with a small smile, she actually had a pretty nice time. "I had a good time. This was nice." Nyck smiled, internally sighing in relief, "does this mean you forgive me for Baku?"
She chuckles, nodding her head, "I suppose so. I'll give my sister a call. She won't drop you."
"Thank you. That means a lot to me," he said with a look of relief, he didn't end in the best terms with his old team so Jaguar was only his shot to get back into Formula E. "I know," she murmured. He stepped closer and Lewis fought back the urge to vomit, knowing what was coming next. He almost gagged when their lips interlocked, and maybe he was just a bit annoyed when Nyck's arm slid around her waist to pull her closer. "This is what you settle for? Really, Kallie?" He scoffed in offense like it was a personal attack on him.
"I'll see you in Miami," Nyck whispered.
"See you there." Kallie smiled and backed away, walking towards the door.
Lewis quickly ran back into the living room, plopping down on the couch and pretending to watch TV. The door opened, echoing the large house as she shut and locked it. She pulled off her heels and set them on the rack before heading down the hall where she could hear the TV going. She walked around the couch and her eyes landed on Lewis as she pulled off her earrings, "is she asleep?"
"Yeah, she's fast asleep." Lewis nods, sitting up better.
"Good." Kallie grabbed the remote and turned off the TV. He yelped, suddenly being yanked up from the couch, "damn, you're strong." She snickers, dragging him upstairs and to her bedroom. She shut the door and pushed him onto the bed, straddling his lap. She cupped his face and leaned down, their lips connecting in a rushed and messy kiss. They pulled away for breath, taking it in for a few seconds before interlocking lips again, moans spilling from their mouths.
She moved her kisses down his jaw to his neck, spending some time there before moving further down. He leaned back and she lifted his shirt, pulling it off and discarding it to the floor. Her mouth trailed further down his chest, his muscles clenching against her lips before she moved onto her knees, kissing down his abs whilst her hands tugged his joggers down. He inhaled sharply, head falling back for a few seconds, "not that I'm complaining or anything, but what's this all about?"
"Do you wanna sit here and talk or let me suck your dick?" Kallie questioned bluntly.
He didn't waste a second with his answer, "the second option."

"Get up! We got shit to do!" Kallie groaned, hands clutching onto her throbbing head, feeling the affects of yesterday's yacht party. "How are you even awake?" She grumbled, the curtains flying open and welcoming the bright morning light. "I haven't gotten more than 5 hours of sleeping since I had my firstborn. Now get up!" Keziyah spoke in Xhosa, ripping the covers off her sister. "You sound like mum!" Kallie groaned out, sitting up and looking down blatantly at her lack of clothing. Who did she fuck last night?
"Oh yeah, by the way, I saw that Nyck boy leaving your room, so y'all might have fucked." Kez says casually, lighting a blunt, her back turned as she tossed her sister a robe. That answered that. "Mka! Fuck! What if it was like the best night in his life and I don't even remember?" Kallie rambled, walking into the bathroom. Kez snorts, she's had her fair share of those. "That's what you're worried about? My card fell into the ocean last night."
"I'm never getting on a boat with you again. I always end up never remembering the next day," Kallie complained, switching on the water and tugging off the robe. "Do what you wish. I won't stop you. But we both know you can't say no to a party." Kez retorts knowingly, sitting down of the sofa and switching on the television.
After Kallie was out of the shower, she sat down on the floor in front of her sister. "You know I could just find a salon, right?" Kallie mumbled. Kez scoffs, reaching over to plug in the blow dryer, "and let them ruin your hair? I think the fuck not. Nobody touches your hair except for family. Plus, you've got a sensitive scalp." Kallie smiled, even if Kez was a bit of a hard ass at times, she cared a lot about her family. Her family came before everything.
As Kez went to grab the scissors, the door was being knocked on. She huffed, "I'll get it it." She got up and walked over to the door, pulling it open. She rolled her eyes, "oh, it's you." Lewis scoffs at her obvious attitude, "what'd I ever do to you?" She ignored him, turning to walk back over to the sofa. "I guess I'll just let myself in then." Lewis muttered, stepping inside and shutting the door behind him.
"You look like you have commitment issues," Kez comments randomly, grabbing the scissors and cutting down her sister's braids so she could take them out. "He does," Kallie adds, smiling when she noticed the cucumbers in the container he held. "At least they're not as bad as yours," he said, handing her the container and sitting down on the chair across them. "Where's your little boyfriend at?" Lewis asked, and Kallie's eye shot up from the cucumbers, her sister silently wondering why he had such an attitude about it.
"What? Who?" Kallie frowned in confusion.
"You left the party with Nyck, remember? It's all over the internet. The two rivals seen arriving at hotel together." Keziyah says, using a dramatic voice for the last sentence. Kallie groaned, slapping a hand over her face, "I literally don't remember anything. Fuck." Kez looks up from her phone and moves her eyes onto the door. "Lewis, can you get the door? Jhenรฉ and Merida are waiting outside."
He nods, getting up and walking over to the door. He pulled it open and in walked Jhenรฉ and Merida, both quickly getting comfortable on the sofa. "I actually wanna kill myself," Merida whined, laying her head on Jhenรฉ's lap. "What happened, baby?" Kez asked as Lewis just awkwardly sat back in the chair, it felt like he was intruding but maybe they were just very comfortable around him. "I may have- I had sex with the wrong person last night. It was horrible- I mean, the sex was like earth shattering- but us hooking up was so wrong."
Lewis leaned forward, already invested, "who was it?"
"Charles Leclerc."
"What?!" Lewis's eyes widened in shock and she nods, feeling very ashamed. "I know. I feel like such a whore. How could I be so stupid?" Merida exclaimed in self pity, running a hand over her curls. "I don't understand the connection here. What's so bad about this?" Lewis asked in confusion. Kez rolls her eyes, "she used to date Jules, remember?"
"Oh- ohhh, yeah that's not good," he leaned back, watching Kallie as she munched on her cucumbers, her sister working on the right side of her head, taking out every braid with gentleness. "This can't be any worse than Kallie hooking up with her sworn nemesis, right?" Jhenรฉ questions. Merida shook her head, "no, this is so much worse. How does one hook up with her ex boyfriend's godson?"
"That's a pickle," Kez mumbled, causing Kallie to grimace at the word.
"That's why he was asking for your number," Lewis mumbled in realization.
"Is this a thing now? All of us have to go to the paddock and see our exes?" Kallie said, internally blaming Kez for inviting Kimura to the Miami GP and promising a hot lap with their lead driver. "Oh God, don't remind me. If I see Daniel, I'll actually off myself," Jhenรฉ says. "You also have to see Nyck," Kez pointed out, making Kallie pinch her leg for the bluntness. "I forgot about him a long time ago. Now that I think about it, he was probably dating me to get closer to Kallie."
"Sounds like him," Kallie said.
"I thought you liked him now?" Merida questioned, sitting up, now realizing that Lewis was in the room. How had she not realized she was speaking to Lewis? Funny thing is, she didn't really mind it that much.
Kallie shrugged, "I'm still debating."
"Fuck. What am I gonna do? I was invited to Ferrari garage." Merida whined in misery, burying her head into the pillow. "Try not to act flirty. Tone your rizz down," Kez advised. Merida groaned, hitting her head with the pillow. "What is rizz?" Kallie questions, looking up at her sister. "You're such a millennial," Kez chuckles, pressing a kiss to her sister's head.
"Quick question, and it's not that I'm complaining, but what is he doing here?" Merida questioned, clearly referring to Lewis who looked up from his phone upon hearing his name. "Oh, you didn't know? Lewis and Kallie are like besties now. Ain't that so cute?" Kez says in a sarcastic tone, receiving the middle finger from Lewis. "I hear your sarcasm, and I don't appreciate it," he says in a sassy manner.
"Actually, why are you here?" Kallie asked, looking up from her cucumbers.
"I need makeup that won't come off, and I figured you could help," Lewis shrugged. Kez raised a suspicious brow, "you mean, you want help to cover up that?" She pointed to the purple hickey on his neck with a look of amusement. "Yes. I need to make sure the makeup won't sweat off this time," Lewis explained. Merida stood up, clearing her throat, "you're so new to this, it's cute. We have a little trick for those. I'll be right back." She grabbed the ice bucket and walked out.
"Who gave it to you?" Jhenรฉ questions, and suddenly Kallie was almost choking on a cucumber. Kez pats her back as she regained breath. Lewis frowned in confusion, "how did you almost choke on that? You don't have a gag reflex." She glared at him whilst Jhenรฉ and Kez shared an equally confused look. "How do you know she doesn't have a gag reflex?" Kez questioned, squinting her eyes in suspicion.
As he stuttered to answer, Kallie quickly spoke to save themselves from this mess. "It just came up in a conversation when we were smoking. That's all." Kez hummed, reaching for her phone to put some music on. She opted for Ms. Lauryn Hill.
"Who does your hair?" Kez asked towards Lewis as she parted her sister's hair gently.
"I used to get it done at like, a salon, but now I let Kallie do it. She does it much better." Lewis asked, leaning back comfortably, moving his head to the song. "That's good. Hair is very sacred. You shouldn't let strangers touch it." Kez said, moving onto the back of her sister's head. "Who does your hair?" Lewis asked, recalling all her very different and iconic hairstyles over the years.
"Usually my godmother. She's my hair stylist for movies and events." Keziyah answered, trying to be gentle but she could hear Kallie wincing. She reached down and handed Kallie her blunt, "here, take this. It should help. The shit here is strong." Kallie nods, taking a hit from it.
Merida walked in, a bucket of ice in her hand. She walked over to Lewis and sat down on the arm of the chair. She pulled out a spoon from the ice as he looked at her strangely. "Take this, hold it on the hickey. When it's not cold, put it in the ice and do it again. It'll help fade it, and then you can cover it with a little bit of makeup." Merida explained, setting the cold spoon on the mark, catching him off guard for a split second.
"Did you tell them about that basketball player sliding into your DMs?" Jhenรฉ says towards Kallie, the woman coughing slightly.
"Which one?" Lewis questioned before Kez or Mer had the chance to.
"I can't remember her name. Kallie, what's her name?" Jhenรฉ asked, reaching into her pocket to grab her phone. "I didn't answer because I'm trying to not be a whore. That was the old me. I've matured." Kallie said, shrugging her shoulder. Merida shrugged, "it's fun to be a whore. Sleep with whoever you want without any attachments or feelings."
"Until you start feeling lonely," Jhenรฉ added, as that was the main reason she got into a relationship with Sean.
"I miss being a whore. I was a good one." Kez mumbled.
"I don't think you ever stopped. It's still there. You have that rizz that lasts a lifetime. Did you know, you have the most edits on tiktok? They did like comparisons, and you had the most. Women love you." Merida says knowingly, crossing her legs and pulling open her purse to fix her makeup. "And I love women," Kez murmured, turning Kallie's head.
"Facts. I've been with more women than men," Merida grinned.
"Me too. I miss it." Kez smirked at the memories that came to mind.
"If only we weren't married," Jhenรฉ groaned.
"I'm getting divorced." Kez stated awkwardly, stopping as Kallie immediately turned to look at her. Everyone's attention now on her. "What? You and Will are splitting up?" Kallie asked, almost choking on her cucumbers. Kez pursed her lips, nodding slowly, "yeah...don't say anything. Baba doesn't know. I told mum and she wasn't pleased, but she supports whatever makes me happy."
"Why are you splitting up? Did he cheat? Did you cheat?" Merida asked.
"No, he wouldn't do that. I didn't cheat either. It's just...it's not the same. We don't love each other in the way we used to. And, I feel horrible about it, because he's so good with the kids, and Kamari is super attached to him. She's close with all his family. Kaidyn looks at him like a father. So, I feel like I just ruined everything. I ruined it with Michael. This is why I don't get into relationships. I should've never gotten married." Kez sniffles, raising her hand to wipe her tears.
"It's not your fault. These things happen." Kallie spoke, rubbing her sister's leg in a comforting manner. She knew it was deeper than what Kez said, it always was.
Merida stood up and walked over, sitting next to Kez and pulling her into her arms. Jhenรฉ went on the other side, both girl's hugging the singer. Kallie's eyes met Lewis's for a split second, wondering if she was making a mistake by pursuing Nyck. She had Jhenรฉ's blessing, but something still felt so wrong about it. She probably should've sucked it up and asked her mother for advice. Kaikara always knew what to do. She was very supportive.
"Does Mari know?" Merida asked, rubbing the singer's back.
"Yes. Will told her yesterday after practice. She wants us to be happy, but she also doesn't want to lose him in her life. It's a lot to figure out. But, she supports us. He's with her and Kaidyn right now, so that part isn't changing. We just won't live together, or be a couple anymore." Kez explained, undoing the last braid on Kallie's head, not noticing her and Lewis both staring at each other, almost like they were having some kind of telekinetic conversation.
"Maybe, that's just God's plan for you," Lewis added, finally speaking because he honestly didn't know what to say. He was never super close with Kez. They crossed paths many times at events, parties, and he seen her at races, but they never got close, despite their dad's being best friends.
"I'm not even sure he has a plan for me," Kez huffed.
"You'll get through it. You're strong, usisi." Kallie stood up and went into the bathroom, Kez followed her and they washed her hair before bringing her back to the sofa. Jhenรฉ switched on the blow dryer and passed Kez a parting comb. "It seems like we all got shit going on in our lives. What about you, Lewis? You got any relationship drama?" Merida questioned, and Kez was the only one who noticed how his eyes fell onto Kallie and back to the spoon in his hand.
"Uh, sort of. The person I love is in complete denial and is using another guy to distract herself from me. So yeah, it's very complicated." Lewis confessed, ignoring the glare he received from Kallie. "Shit, that's tough. Sounds like she got commitment issues. That's probably it. Don't worry, she'll give in eventually. They always crack." Merida advised in total seriousness, whilst Kallie just looked very offended.
"Well, when Kallie wins again, we are gonna go to a club and party like it's the last day of our lives. We also all have to get laid." Jhenรฉ says, reaching for the bottle of tequila and pouring some in a cup.
"I don't know if I'm up for that," Kez mumbled and their eyes shot up to her, specifically shocked by that because she never turns down a party. "What? Okay, where is my best friend? I feel like I lost her. What did he do to you?" Merida rambled in concern. Kez used to party like her life depended on it after a breakup. "It's called love, Mer. When you lose it, you start to feel empty without it. Like you can't function unless you're in love. My love faded. Now, I feel like I'm dead."
"Oh, my God. He broke you." Kallie spoke, turning her body to face her sister.
"Is it that bad? I'm in my thirties. I don't need to be partying like I'm still 20." Kez said, shrugging a shoulder and turning her sister back around so she could finish her hair as quick as possible. "Oh yeah, you're broken. My bestie would neva say that. She stays partying until it's lights out to life. But, it's okay, cause we got you. We can fix you." Merida says as if it was the most important thing in the world.
Lewis leans forward, suddenly invested in this, "I want in on this. How do we fix her?"
"You guys are so not serious," Kez muttered, not seeing the big deal.
"Hot ass women. We need lesbians and bisexuals." Merida stated, receiving a pointed look from her best friend. "Short or tall?" Lewis asked, and Kallie chuckled at how invested he was. "We need someone taller than her, or the same height," Jhenรฉ said, opening her Instagram to look for people who would be at the Grand Prix. Kallie looks up at her very annoyed sister, and smirks, "what about a basketball player?"
"I hate all of you," Kez stated.

"Hold my hand, I need to squeeze something." Kez rolled her eyes at her sister's impatience and took her hand. "I still don't understand why I had to be the one to give her a hot lap," Kallie muttered, her hand clenching in her sister's. Thankfully, Kez was very used to this. It's how she calmed her sister down when she had a burst of anger after a race when they were younger. "You're the lead driver, so it has to be you. Don't worry, I have a plan to save you."
Kallie sighed, going quiet when cameras started recording them as they walked down the paddock. "I should've worn heels, I look small next to you," she mumbled. Kez chuckles in amusement, Kallie was the only one who didn't get the tall genes. She was the shortest in the family. Kaikara was second shortest, and Kez third because Kaylen and Jae-hyun were taller. Of course, Jae was the tallest.
They walked into the Jaguar motorhome, meeting Neela and Maeanna there as they had to do debriefs. Kallie hated debriefs, so none of this was fun for her.
"How do I look? Am I hot?" Kallie questions, looking at her best friend for approval. Jhenรฉ chuckles, "you look fine as fuck, so chill out. You don't need to impress her." She scoffed, running her hand over her cornrows, "no, but I need to look better than her. I can't have her thinkin' she broke my heart and I've been a mess for a decade because of it." Jhenรฉ just gave her a pointed look, "uh..you kinda have girl."
"Okay, I stopped being a whore like last year, so whatever." Kallie muttered.
They approached Maeanna who sighs in relief, "thank God, there you are! Come on. She's here." Kallie wasn't in listening, too busy staring at the woman who broke her heart a decade ago and impacted her life majorly. Kimura Cho. She ignored her manager and walked over to her ex girlfriend. Kimura turned around and smiled, immediately bringing Kallie into hug without one bit of warning. And she practically melted in her arms, hugging the woman back instinctively.
"I missed you," Kimura whispered into her ear before pulling away from the flustered driver.
"It's so good to see you again. Have they treated you well?" Kallie asked, setting her hand on Kimura's arm. "They have. The hotel was gorgeous. I got to see your car. It's all been so amazing. I'm so proud of you. You've come so far." Kimura says with a bright smile, taking Kallie's hand in hers. "T-Thank you. That means a lot."
"You look very beautiful. I love when you have your hair like that. It was always my favorite." Kimura said, as if Kallie didn't already know that. She had Kez do this very specific style because she knew it was her favorite, otherwise she could've left her braids in. "I-I know- I mean, thank you. Uh, sorry, I'm just nervous. It's been such a long time." Kallie stammered, internally wishing she was anywhere else right now. Why was she stuttering like a teenage girl meeting Justin Bieber?
"That's okay. I understand. I was very nervous when my team told me about it." Kimura chuckles, moving her long hair behind her ear.
Maeanna came over and handed Kallie a helmet. She smiled and held it to Kimura, "you might need it. I go very fast." Kimura smiled, nodding as she took it from her hands. "I know. I remember. Late night drives, remember?" Kallie nods, pushing back the memories that wanted to come up. "Could never forget."
She cleared her throat awkwardly and looked over at the Jaguar car that they wanted her to drive. "Okay, let's go for a hot lap, yeah?" Kimura nods and pulled them helmet on her head as Kallie walked over to the car, sharing a look with Jhenรฉ, the model giving a supportive smile. She climbed into the car, and Kimura got into the passenger seat.
"You ready?" Kallie smiled nervously, setting her tattooed hands on the steering wheel.
"Yes. I'm ready." Kimura holds onto the seatbelt, turning her head to look over at her driver.
Kallie pressed on the accelerator, the car speeding forward, gaining a yelp from her passenger. She drifted on the turns just for fun. "Fuck, fuck, slow down! Oh, my God, Allie! Allie! Shit! Slower please!" Kimura exclaimed in panic, the force pressing her into the seat and moving when Kallie drifted. Whilst she was panicking, Kallie was having a lot of fun. She loved speeding in normal-ish cars. It was always an impulsive thought when she was regularly driving.
Kallie grinned, "let's do another one!"
"Oh, my gosh! Allie! No!" Kimura grabbed onto Kallie's thigh as she sped up again for another lap.
Kallie tensed, her eyes flickering down to the smaller hand on her thigh. She looked back to the track and then slowed the car to a stop. Kimura sighed in relief, moving her hand quickly upon realization. "That was so fun even if I was terrified. Thank you for that." Kallie smiled and nodded, "it's no problem. I'm glad you had fun." They both got out andย Kimura was explaining her reaction to camera.
Thankfully, Kez came over to save Kallie from an awkward conversation with her ex. "Hey, sorry, but I gotta steal my sister." She smiled, grabbing her arm as they excused themselves. Jhenรฉ joined them, putting her hand in Kallie's and giving it a comfortable squeeze. "Oh, my God. She put her hand on my thigh. Was she always that pretty? I feel like she was flirting with me. She looked at me like she wanted to devour me. She's got that look, ya know? It's the stare. Should I call her later?" Kallie rambled.
"Yoh, even I'm not that down bad," Kez winced sympathetically, patting her sister's back.
"We gotta fix you, cause this is ridiculous girl. She barely spoke and you already on ya knees," Jhenรฉ said. Kez dragged her sister into her private motorhome, already seeing Merida in there smoking a joint. "How'd it go with Charles?" She smirked, Kallie plopping down on the couch with lovesick eyes. Merida grimaced, shaking her head, "please, don't even speak his name. It was so horrible. He was flirting with me the whole time. I can't even."
"Yeah well, Kallie is ready to get down and propose after two laps with her ex," Kez mused, sitting down on the sofa next to her best friend.
"This is ridiculous. We're hot. We shouldn't need to deal with this shit. You're getting divorced. Jhenรฉ is stuck in an unhappy marriage and has never recovered from Daniel. My late ex boyfriend's godson is basically in love with me. And Kallie is in love with Lewis Hamilton and still hung up on her ex from a decade ago." Merida ranted as she passed the joint over to Keziyah, who very much needed it after the conversation she had with her father. The divorce got out, and he found out through a fan visiting the garage.
Kallie shot up from her seat, "I am not! If anyone's in love, it's him. I tell you, he's like obsessed with me. He's like dedicated his life to making me fall in love with him. It's insane." The three all share a look, and Kez smirked. "Looks like it's working. I applaud his dedication." Kez said, shrugging a shoulder because she was once that down bad for a woman.
"I'm actually already divorced," Jhenรฉ confessed.
"Well, let's add that to the list," Merida says, completely fed up with her life.
Kez hums, raising a brow, "did he cheat?" Jhenรฉ nods in response, not that affected by it but Kallie still wraps her arms around the girl to provide her some comfort.
"Did y'all see Lewis playin' basketball?" Merida asked, taking the joint back as Kallie perked up. "Hmm?" Kez chuckles at her reaction and nods her head, "yeah, I seen him playing when I was talking with McDreamy." Jhenรฉ raised a brow, "bitch, Patrick Dempsey is here? Introduce me! Are you insane? I've been in love with that man since I was thirteen." She rambled, standing up and taking Kezie's hand.
"Shit, fine. Come on. Kallie, you have to be at the garage soon to meet some guests." Kez says before leaving with Jhenรฉ, the woman very eager to meet Patrick Dempsey.
Kallie laid down, looking over to a stressed out Merida. "So...about Lewis, what was he wearing?"
Merida just gave her a blank stare.
