Lo'ak arrived at his pod with his vision blurry. He looked up to see if anyone was there and thankfully no one was. He didn't want anyone to see him like this and know that he was heartbroken. Even though him and Aila weren't in a official relationship he still felt like he just lost his other half. Even after just a few days of them being "together" he still felt as if he lost someone he couldn't replace.

He went into the room with his and Neteyam's bed and laid down. He felt the tears fall down his cheek and over his nose as he curled up on his side into a fetal position. He had slept next to Aila the past few nights and he already missed her warmth.

Nobody knew about him and Aila, but Neteyam and Aonung had seen them coming back from their date and Aonung had saw them sleeping in each other's arms, but nobody knew what they said on their date and what happened the night the before.

Lo'ak felt sad and hurt. He felt betrayed but he also felt something that he didn't want to feel. He felt anger and resentment towards her. He knew that it was forbidden for them to be together but if Aila really wanted them to be together then why didn't she at least try and make it work.

As for Aila, she was still sitting on the tree. She couldn't move. She was hurt by how Lo'ak just walked away without even fighting for her. Did he really see her? She missed his warm embrace and just being in his presence. How whenever she saw him, her face lit up and every ounce of pain, confusion, and hurt went away when she was with him.

She couldn't help but think of the night of their date. How she felt so peaceful that night looking up at the sky with him. How he could make her laugh without even trying. How his lips felt against hers and his eyes. She loved his eyes, how they were a perfect golden yellow and how they glistened under the moonlight.

She missed everything about him. How he makes her feel. How she gets butterflies every time he touches her. How she couldn't stop thinking about him since the night he kissed her.

Aila didn't know what to do. She knew it was forbidden but she couldn't help but want to be with Lo'ak all the time. She wanted to break the rules for him, but she was too scared. She couldn't betray her people; she was supposed to be the next Tsahik.

Aila's cheeks were soaked with tears as they were falling down to her chest. She just wanted to scream. How could she mess things up in one single sentence. She should have thought about it before letting her feelings overwhelm her thoughts. How could she be so stupid to let her feelings for Lo'ak cloud her thoughts.

She only knew him for what? A month, and he had already become her main priority. Spending time with him was all that mattered to her for three weeks. She thought about how she felt when Lo'ak was unconscious and how she was a wreck for two long days before he woke up. She then remembered that she hadn't talked to her older brother in a couple days and how worried he must be.

She had been sitting thinking about everything that had happened that she ended up crying herself to sleep, her thoughts being overwhelmed with her feelings and her heart being broken.

The sun glistened into the Sully family hut and hit Lo'ak's face. He groaned at the brightness and rubbed his eyes trying to adjust to the light. He instinctively got up and saw that his brother was already out of bed.

He walked out to where he heard his family talking while eating breakfast. Neteyam waved him over while patting a seat beside him, implying for Lo'ak to sit beside him. Lo'ak realized that he had been so busy spending time with Aila that he never had eaten breakfast with his family. So, he sat down and had a little grin plastered on his face as he grabbed the fruit from the center of the table.

"How did you sleep?" he heard his mother's voice echo in his ear. "Rough, but I'm ok." Lo'ak replied. Neytiri rubbed her youngest son's shoulder and kissed his temple.

Lo'ak was gulping down the fruit as if he hadn't eaten in days. He was hoping that Aila wouldn't be at training today so he would have to face her. "What are we doing today?" Lo'ak asked his older brother. "I think we are swimming again today. Training our breath better. Also, maybe learning sign." Neteyam said between a few bites of fruit.

Tuk ran over to Lo'ak and jumped in his lap. "I missed you. You have been gone a lot the past few days." she said as she wrapped her arms around Lo'ak. He laughed slightly, "Sorry Tuk. I've been a little busy lately. I've been getting to know the island and the people."

Neteyam bent over as he elbowed Lo'ak, "You mean Aila?" He said as he giggled. Lo'ak almost choked at the mention of her name. He looked down as he swalled hard, tears swelling his eyes. He closed his eyes and swalled hard once again trying to get rid of the tears abruptly forming in his eyes.

As Lo'ak's ears perked down, Neteyam noticed and grew quiet as he looked at his brother with a confused expression, but Lo'ak wouldn't look at him. He figured if Lo'ak wanted to tell him, he would eventually.

Aila awoke to the bright light in her face. She rubbed as her eyes slowly adjusted. As she opened her eyes, she saw a tall silhouette standing over her. "Aonung?" Aila mumbled.

"Aila, what were you doing out there in the roots so late?" Aonung sounded worried. "I must've fallen asleep; I didn't mean to. But on the other hand, I could ask you the same thing. Why were you out there so late?" She questioned him.

Aonung swalled hard before speaking, "I sometimes go out there to clear my head if I can't sleep." he paused before speaking again, "But you're lucky I was out there to carry you back here or you could have gotten hurt out there in the roots." He said as he pointed a stern finger at Aila.

She titled her head away from Aonung's gaze as her ears perked down, "I'm sorry." She mumbled just to where Aonung could hear it. "Next time just make sure not to fall asleep out there." He said as he walked over to Aila's bed. She sat up and he came and sat down next to her, "While you talking to me, why have you been avoiding me the past few days?" He said as he inked his gaze in mine.

"Because of what you did to Lo'ak, I know you did something." Aila said as her voice cracked. Aonung sighed, "Ok, Ok. I did do something but it wasn't bad...I made Lo'ak dive down into a coral I know he couldn't get out of."

Aila gasped and got up from her seated position, 'Aonung were you trying to kill him, you knew he couldn't get out of it. You made him get hurt." Aila yelled at her brother. His ears perked down as he stood up, looking down to the floor, "Look Aila I wasn't trying to hurt him. I just thought it would be fun, OK." Aonung said just to where Aila could hear him.

Aila sighed, "You will apologize to Lo'ak and Neteyam. I know that they are not apart of our clan but that doesn't mean you get to bully them." Aonung didn't answer and kept his gaze on the floor. Aila smacked him on the arm making him look up at her, "Do you hear me?" She said gazing into his eyes.

Aonung simply nodded. He couldn't say no to his older sister. "You will by tomorrow morning, you understand?" Aila said softening her tone. Aonung nodded once more.

Aila started to walk away before being stopped by her brother's voice, "Is there something going on between you and him?" Aonung questioned. "No." Aila sternly replied. Well there was but now there wasn't.

There was nothing between the two of them, not anymore.

Aonung confessing what he did???
Just saying he might end up as a good character? You never know.
Hope y'all liked this longerish chapter. I can't seem to get past 2000 words so don't be surprised if that never happens, sorry in advance.

I also changed the book cover because I just like it better so please don't forget about this book. PLEASE! Also thank all of you for the support I can't believe I reached over 800 reads because tbh I'm not the best at writing. I mainly do it because of the deep rooted obsession I have with avatar and Lo'ak obviously. ๐Ÿคญ

And don't forget if you liked this chapter please vote and comment you favorite part.
Also please comment some ideas of what you want to happen between the two. I have some ideas but if you have a request please comment it.

I also have an idea for another book but since this one is with Lo'ak that one will be with Neteyam and also in first person. Should I write it?
