𝐓𝐇𝐄 Thompson Twins' Hold Me Now played on the juke box as Jenna and Jimmy sat in the diner drinking cokes and eating fries. "So how was practice?" Jenna asked as she dipped her fries in ketchup. "By the way, thank you for the cherry coke."

"You're welcome amour." Jimmy said. "Karate practice was brutal. Sensei's really kicking our asses and he's tough as shit."

"Well, I think you have a chance at winning this year." Jenna smiled as she sipped her cherry coke.

"I don't think so." Jimmy said. "Johnny's won the tournament for the past three years, so sensei is counting on him to win."

Jenna shook her head as she swallowed some food she was chewing. "I don't think so. You obviously have it in you, and you're committed to it, so why not?"

"Johnny is sensei's best student, and Bobby is his second best." Jimmy said

"Well, it doesn't matter who's the best, or who's second best, but what do I know, I'm not a karate person, or whatever you call it." Jenna laughed. "I'm just here to listen and make you feel better."

"I'm glad to know someone believes in me." Jimmy smiled. "Anyway, what are your plans after high school? What's your plans for college?"

Jenna smiled as she set her soda glass down. "Well, I've always loved helping people, so I would love to be a nurse, and when I get enough experience in the field, I would love to be a nursing instructor. What about you?"

"Well, you have a very commendable goal." Jimmy smiled, and Jenna blushed as he continued. "I would like to have my own law firm like my dad."

"You have a commendable goal as well." Jenna smiled. "I know you'll accomplish it."

Just hearing those words from the girl he's been in love with for so long, made Jimmy want to lean over the booth and kiss her. He's often wondered how her lips would taste. Probably just as sweet as the cherry coke she drinks.

"Thanks amour." Jimmy smiled. "You know, I've never asked you why you like cherry so much."

Jenna chuckled then answered, "Well, it was just pure coincidence. I just happened to try the flavor in my cokes. It's been my go-to every since."

After a couple hours, the sun was beginning to set. Jenna glanced down at her watch, then at the boy in front of her. "Well, I've gotta get going." she smiled as she stood up from the booth, and Jimmy stood up as well. "Thanks again for the cherry coke."

"No problem." Jimmy smiled as he left cash on the table for their food and drinks. "I'll walk you to your mercedes."

Jenna smiled as Jimmy led her out of the diner, and to her mercedes. opening the door, she placed her bag inside, then rested her hand on the door. There was a moment of comfortable silence between the two teens looked into each other's eyes. The guys had been telling him to strike first and make the first move, but he couldn't with her. She was truly something else.

Jenna looked into his beautiful blue eyes, and he looked at her as if she were the only girl in the world, because to him, she was. She's all he has thought about since that fateful summer day in the theatre. "The way you look at me, wow. No one has ever looked at me like that before." Jenna smiled, then stood on her tiptoes to give him a kiss on his cheek.

Taking her dainty hand in his, a brave Jimmy asked, "Amour, what are you doing on Friday night? Do you have any plans?"

Jenna shook her head no. "I'm not doing anything. what did you have in mind?"

"I was wondering if you would go out with me? For a date to Golf N' Stuff?" Jimmy asked

Jenna smiled and nodded in reply. Reaching into her backpack which was in the front seat, she took out a piece of paper and wrote down her address. "I do have to warn you, my dad is overprotective, and Dylan and Andrew are, well, they're a different species."

"I'm not worried about it." Jimmy said. "Besides, I like you for you."

Jenna smiled as she gave him the paper. "I like you too." giving him one last kiss on the cheek, she turned around and was about to get in the mercedes when...

"Jenna?"

Jenna turned around to face him, then smiled. "Yes?"

"Sorry about getting sand in your cherry coke." Jimmy said

"Don't apologize." Jenna smiled. "Just look at it this way, if one of you hadn't have gotten sand in my cherry coke, you and I wouldn't have spent the afternoon together. I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow, amour."

It was 11 pm when Nicki arrived beach in her white mercedes and parked next to Dylan's convertible. After checking her lipgloss in the mirror, she got out and locked her car, meeting the youngest Romero boy on the shore line, and kissing him passionately.

"I take it you missed me?" Dylan smiled smiled as he held Nicki in his embrace

"Of course I did." Nicki smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him once more.

"I missed you more, beautiful." Dylan smiled as he pulled Nicki in for a kiss. As they continued to kiss, Nicki heard some noise behind her, and quickly pulled away. She turned to see what it was, only to find the waves crashing along the sand.

"I'm sorry." Nicki sighed. "It's just this whole low-profile relationship thing has me totally paranoid."

"I totally get it." Dylan said, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Eddie and Brian have been suspecing something is going on between us. Andrew is the only one who knows."

"Ali is the only one who knows." Nicki said. "Don't worry. She won't tell anyone else. It's Jenna I'm worried about. How's she gonna react when she finds out her best friend and her brother have been dating for three months and haven't said anything?"

"I'm sure she'll understand." Dylan said. "I know what you're gonna say, about the girl code and shit like that."

"Wow. I'm impressed." Nicki laughed. "It's getting late, I should get going before my parents kill me."

"I should get going too." Dylan said.

"I had fun tonight." Nicki said as she walked towards her car. "Same time tomorrow?"

"Of course." Dylan said as he pulled Nicki into his embrace. Nicki pulled away from his embrace and walked to her car until she was pulled back by Dylan. "I don't get a good night kiss?"

"Nope." Nicki smirked as she walked to her car. andrew pulled her back as she flirtatiously giggled. "You never lose, huh?"

"Never." Dylan laughed as Nicki placed her lips on his and softly groaned into the kiss.

Nicki smiled as she walked back to her car and got in. "Call me."

"All right." Dylan smiled as he got into his car. "Sleep well, princess."

"You too, honey." Nicki smiled as she drove away from the beach and headed home.

"Nicki, it's gonna come out sooner or later." Ali said as she sat on her bed and filed her nails

"I would rather it be later than sooner." Nicki said as she pulled the covers back and got in bed. "Jenna's gonna hate me."

"Nic, stop being ridiculous. Jenna is not gonna hate you." Ali said. "It's probably going to come as a shock at first, but it will be all right."

"I still wanna keep things on the down low." Nicki said.

"I promise I won't say anything." Ali said

"Thanks." Nicki said. "I'll see you at school tomorrow."

"Okay. Good night." Ali said

"Good night."
