Aisling Walsh.
Dear parents/carers of Ballylaggin Community School,
This email has been sent specifically to those who participate in any of the following sport teams: Track, Hurling and Football. The opportunity has arisen for BCS to transfer up to five students on a full scholarship to attend Tommen College located just outside Cork. The administrators at the private school have issued an agreement that our greatest players can access the facilities we cannot provide with the budget given from the school board. In exchange, BCS will inhabit up to five of Tommen's troubled students due to our excellent work in rehabilitating misbehaviours. If your child is interested, click the following link to read how.
Sincerely, Mr Ryan
Naturally, upon reading this email on my families shared computer bright and early on the 31st of December, I clicked the link.
Saying BCS has 'excellent work in rehabilitating misbehaviours' is a statement far from true. What that translates to, is that Tommen is taking our talented useful kids to offer good opportunities, whilst BCS is taking their worst to join an already shitty school and seek no help in changing just so its an equal trade.
On the 3rd of January 2005, students interested should attend a short meeting in school where they will meet coaches and professors at Tommen in order to make good impressions. They should bring their required uniforms and equipments for their specialised sport/s to play a small game so you can be fairly selected.
If you are chosen, you will receive a follow up email on the 7th of January 2005, detailing your acceptance and what you need to know. Uniforms will be provided free of cost should you need them to be.
Good luck, BCS
A/N:
Making a chapter this short and calling it an update is actually diabolical, but without it, none of this would make sense, so suck it up buttercups.
