The day after the Halloween dance, it was Sunday. Marisol, Demetri, and Eli dozed off while watching the first Avatar movie. They had heard some people hated it, but they wanted to see for themselves, and unfortunately, it turned out to be true. Marisol found herself falling asleep in Eli's arms, finding comfort in their embrace. Demetri was the first to awaken, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. He slyly pulled out his phone from his pocket and snapped a picture of the two of them, capturing the sweet moment. However, his phone accidentally made a noise, causing Marisol to stir and wake up from her slumber.

Marisol slowly fluttered her eyes open, only to find Demetri looming over them. "Seriously, dude? Are you trying to be a total creep?" she playfully teased, rubbing her eyes in an attempt to wake up. Demetri shook his head, a mischievous grin on his face. "Nah, just capturing the moment of you two cuddling," he replied, his tone filled with amusement. Marisol chuckled softly, finding his antics endearing. "Well, you better wake up Eli. I need to hop in the shower real quick. My mom just texted me that she's on her way to pick me up," she shared, clicking her tongue in mild annoyance. She nodded her head as if to say, "Yeah, I better get going."

She peppered Eli's face with kisses until he stirred awake, a smile spreading across his face. "Hey there, cutie," she greeted him, her voice filled with affection. He blushed, returning the gesture by gently squeezing her. "Good morning," he mumbled, his voice still raspy from sleep. "Morning," she replied softly, planting a tender kiss on his cheek. As Eli looked around, he noticed Demetri's absence. "Where's Metri?" he asked, sitting up and absentmindedly ruffling his hair. Marisol let out a small sigh. "He's in the shower," she answered, her voice tinged with a hint of impatience.

Eli flashed a mischievous smirk. "Wanna make out?" he asked boldly, causing Marisol's jaw to drop slightly in surprise. "Did Eli Moskowitz just ask to make out?" she exclaimed, her disbelief evident in her voice. Eli leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek. "Hmm, yes," he confirmed with a playful tone. Marisol grinned and responded confidently, "You bet." Eli's eyes widened in surprise as she swiftly pressed her lips against his, and he eagerly kissed her back, his hands gently cupping her face. After they pulled apart, Marisol made a satisfied lip smack. "I'm still shocked," she admitted, a mix of surprise and delight in her voice.

He flashed a cocky grin, causing her heart to flutter. "Get used to it," he smirked confidently, his hands sliding down to her waist. She couldn't help but giggle, but before she could say anything, Eli silenced her with a passionate kiss. The intensity of the moment made her lose herself as she eagerly crawled on top of him, returning his kisses with equal fervor. It felt like a continuation of the unforgettable night they had shared before, a moment where time stood still and their connection deepened. She melted into the kiss, savoring every second of their passionate embrace.

Another day had come and gone, and now it was finally Monday. The news had spread like wildfire throughout the school corridors, with whispers and excited chatter filling the air. Everyone seemed to know that Eli and Marisol were now officially a couple. The halls buzzed with anticipation as Marisol made her way to her first-period class.

Taking her usual seat, she found herself next to Moon, a familiar face she had grown quite fond of. There was a certain comfort in their presence, a connection that seemed to grow stronger with each passing day. Marisol couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth whenever Moon was around.

As the teacher began the lesson, Marisol focused on diligently taking notes. Lost in her thoughts, she was suddenly snapped back to reality by a gentle tap on her shoulder. Turning her head towards Moon, she met her gaze with curiosity. "Yeah?" Marisol asked, her voice filled with genuine interest. She was always eager to engage with Moon, wondering what new adventure or conversation awaited her.

"So, you and Eli are together now?" Moon questioned, her voice filled with a mix of curiosity and excitement. She nodded her head, waiting for Moon's response. "Yeah, what about it?" Marisol quipped, her tone laced with a hint of playfulness. She shrugged her shoulders casually, glancing down at her notes as if it were no big deal. Moon's eyes slightly widened at Moon's response, and she couldn't help but scoot closer to her, eager to dig deeper into the situation. "Wait, hold on," Marisol said, her voice filled with intrigue. "Are you saying that Sam might actually be jealous?"

Moon's face broke into a mischievous grin as she looked back at Marisol. "Oh yeah, she couldn't stop blabbering about you last night. She was completely baffled," Moon explained, her voice filled with amusement. Marisol let out a light scoff, her expression reflecting a mix of emotions. "Well, she can be jealous all she wants. After all, she broke my heart. But you know what? It's whatever. I'm into Eli now, and he's just better for me," Marisol shrugged, trying to convey a sense of nonchalance.

Moon let out a playful giggle, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "That's right, girl! You are absolutely worth it, and don't you dare let anyone tell you otherwise," she stated emphatically. Marisol couldn't help but chuckle softly, shaking her head in disbelief. "Moon, I just don't get it," she said between laughs. Moon tilted her head curiously, her expression filled with genuine interest. "Don't get what?" she asked, eager to understand Marisol's confusion.

Marisol paused for a moment, contemplating her words. "I don't understand how you can hang out with Yasmine. She can be such a difficult person, while you're so sweet and kind," she pondered, her voice tinged with curiosity.

Moon shrugged her shoulders, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "You know, I've been friends with Yasmine since we were little. And if you really take the time to get to know her, you'll see that she has her own way of being sweet and caring," Moon explained, her voice filled with a sense of understanding.

Marisol let out a thoughtful hum, her voice filled with concern. "I understand where you're coming from, but... she really does bully people," she replied, her words tinged with sincerity. Moon took note of Marisol's comment, silently acknowledging her friend's perspective.

Suddenly, their teacher, Mrs. Camden, interrupted their conversation. "Miss Cervantes and Miss Harlow, please pay attention," Mrs. Camden scolded, redirecting their focus to the class. Startled, Marisol and Moon quickly turned their attention back to Mrs. Camden. "Sorry," they chimed in unison, their voices filled with remorse.

As Mrs. Camden resumed teaching, Marisol and Moon exchanged a knowing glance, unable to contain their laughter any longer. Their giggles filled the air, creating a moment of shared amusement between the two friends.

Marisol and Eli were cozied up on the couch, completely engrossed in an episode of Shameless. The characters on the screen were in the midst of a dramatic moment when suddenly, a loud knock echoed through the room, interrupting the peaceful atmosphere. Letting out a soft sigh, Marisol reluctantly tore her gaze away from the TV. "I'll be back," she informed Eli, who nodded in understanding.

As Marisol stood up, Eli leaned in and gently kissed her forehead, a silent gesture of support. With a mix of curiosity and apprehension, Marisol made her way to the front door, her heart pounding in anticipation. As she swung the door open, she was met with the sight of Sam standing there, a mix of surprise and familiarity on his face.

Marisol's eyes widened in surprise, her mouth hanging open. "Who is it?" Eli asked, his voice filled with curiosity. Marisol's throat felt dry as she mustered the words, "Uh, it's my... my aunt. She needs to talk to me real quick. I'll be outside!" she called back, her voice tinged with nervousness. Eli simply hummed in response, understanding her need to step away for a moment.

As Marisol stepped outside, she closed the door behind her, creating a sense of privacy. Her arms instinctively crossed over her chest, and she couldn't help but snap at Sam, her voice laced with frustration. "What are you doing here, Sam?" she demanded, her tone sharp. Sam stood before her, tears still glistening on her cheeks, and Marisol couldn't help but feel a mix of concern and irritation.

"Wait, what happened?" Marisol's voice trembled with concern as she pieced together Sam's unfinished sentence. The words hung in the air, unspoken but understood. "He tried to...?" Marisol's voice trailed off, her heart pounding in her chest.

Sam's eyes welled up with tears, and Marisol's instincts kicked in. She wrapped her arms around Sam in a tight embrace, whispering-yelling, "What?!" The hug provided a moment of solace amidst the chaos. Pulling away slightly, Marisol looked into Sam's eyes, her voice filled with genuine worry. "I'm so sorry, Sammi. Are you okay?" she asked, her voice soft and comforting.

Sam let out a small sob, her voice choked with emotion. "I... I'm okay," she managed to say between sobs. Marisol's heart ached for her friend, but she felt a sense of relief knowing that Sam had found the strength to stop him.

She nodded, her arms crossing tightly over her chest, a gesture of both defensiveness and vulnerability. "Well, uh, Eli's inside," she said, her voice slightly shaky as she pointed towards the door. Sam's heart raced, her anticipation building as she licked her lips, leaning in for a kiss. But before their lips could meet, Marisol's hand firmly pushed against Sam's chest, creating a physical barrier between them. "Stop," she said, her voice carrying a mix of determination and sadness.

Sam looked at Marisol, her eyes filled with longing and a hint of desperation. "I missed you, Mari," she admitted, her voice trembling with regret and longing for what could have been. Marisol's eyes rolled, a mixture of frustration and pain flashing across her face. "You're too late," she snapped, her words cutting through the air like a sharp blade. "I'm with Eli," she added, her tone laced with a hint of bitterness.

Sam's face fell, the weight of her mistake crashing down on her. A frown formed on her lips as she struggled to find the right words. "I... I'm sorry," she managed to say, her voice filled with genuine remorse and a touch of desperation, hoping for forgiveness that might never come.

Sam dashed off her porch with lightning speed, leaving Marisol standing there, shaking her head in disbelief. Marisol walked into the house and plopped herself down next to Eli. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's up with your aunt?" Marisol let out a weary sigh and replied, "Oh, just some nonsense about Mila's birthday this weekend." It was a lie, but she hoped it would be enough to distract Eli. He smiled and nodded, seemingly satisfied with her answer. Marisol pointed towards the TV screen and said, "So, what did I miss?"
