Alissa walked into her shared cell with Carol, seeing the woman drawing on a notebook, reminding her of the old times. She walked over to the desk, grabbing a hair tie to tie up her hair. "Come here. I wanna see something." Carol said, Alissa turned around, walking over to her with a confused look. "What is it?" Carol tugged up Alissa's shirt, Liss quick to pull it down with a yelp. "What are you doing?" Carol moved her hands, pushing up her shirt despite Alissa's fighting.
Carol let out a chuckle, running her hand over the tattoo under Alissa's ribs. "When did you get my name tattooed on you?" Carol mused, letting go of Alissa. She was quick to push her shirt back down with a huff. "Who told you?" She crossed her arms with a sour look.
"Your kid," Carol shrugged.
"That little shit," Alissa cursed. "That "little shit" is right here!" Aaliyah sat up from her place on Alissa's bed, glaring at her mother. "I will be leaving. Lights are out soon and I do not want to be here for whatever you fellow gays like to do in your private time." Aaliyah climbed down the little ladder, hopping off carefully. Alissa scoffs, "Imagine how I felt having to listen to you and your girlfriend every other night!" Aaliyah rolled her eyes, walking out of the room with a sad sigh, missing Janae more and more.
"You didn't answer my question," Carol spoke up, taking Alissa's attention away from thoughts about how to cheer up Aaliyah.
Alissa huffed, sitting down on the bed as Carol scoot over to make more room for her. "I got after I stopped answering your calls. It was my way of always having a piece of you with me. It's pretty stupid." Carol smiled, leaning over to press a kiss to Alissa's cheek. "It's not stupid. You not returning my calls was stupid." Alissa chuckles, nodding, "Yeah. I regret that a lot. But, if I never had Aaliyah, technically I wouldn't be reunited with you right now."
Carol raised a brow, "I highly doubt that. You would've killed someone or done something illegal eventually."
Alissa shrugged, "Maybe."
Carol nudged Alissa after a moment of silence. "What's bothering you now?" Alissa sighs, going to lay down next to Carol. "I don't know. I guess I just feel bad. Liyah misses Janae. I've never seen her so...miserable, before. It's almost like she psychically cannot live without that girl." Carol shrugs, understanding what Aaliyah was going through. "She's in love. I remember a time where I felt like that. Her pain is completely understandable."
Alissa frowned, "I know, but it just bothers me. I don't like seeing her like that. I'm probably just overthinking it." Alissa goes to brush it off, turning on her side to face Carol. "No, you're just being a mom. It's normal to be concerned over your kid." Alissa exhaled, nodding. "I gotta do something about it, right? I mean, that's what a normal mother would do, right?" She rambled nervously, trying to think of ways she could help Aaliyah.
"How about, you stop worrying your pretty little head and think about it tomorrow?" Carol suggests.
Alissa chuckles, "I guess I can do that."
The next morning, they took Aaliyah to the salon to get her a haircut as Liyah didn't have the energy to maintain it. She was going fully short again, back to how she had it when she first went to prison and met Janae. Considering it was impossible to manage her long hair in prison without the right products, at least in minimum, she was able to buy good products. "She's in Ohio. Fucking Ohio. Can you believe it? Are they even allowed to do that?" Aaliyah complains, Alissa and Carol practically used to hearing it.
"You bet your fucking ass they are." Carol turns towards the English girl. "So, what are you gonna do about it?" Alissa eyes her Carol, "Please, don't encourage her." Carol smirks as Alissa returns to cutting Aaliyah's hair.
Aaliyah huffs, she knew she couldn't do anything until after the trial, they would never transfer her until it was over. "Well, I can't do much until the trial is over. After that, I'm considering paying off a guard, or getting into a fight so bad, they'll be forced to transfer me. But that's a bit tricky considering they could transfer me anywhere." Aaliyah explains, glancing back at herself in the mirror.
"Then let's just go to the only logical path. I'll pay off Hellman, get you transferred to Ohio," Alissa shrugged. Aaliyah looked at her through the mirror in shock, almost not believing her. "Why would you do that, mum?" Alissa didn't even look at her, focused on cutting her hair properly. Yeah, maybe it did hurt that she was losing Aaliyah all over again, but it was the right thing to do in the moment. And it would make Aaliyah happy. "I'm trying a new approach. You're clearly unhappy here, and it brings me pain to see you like this. So, I'm going to do the right thing."
Aaliyah blinked a few times, trying to process that. It was a bit shocking to hear. She assumed Alissa would be furious with her. Aaliyah couldn't help but let a smile come on. "Thank you, mum. Seriously, it means everything to me."
Alissa shrugged like it was nothing, but deep down it was. "If you wanna thank me. Just thank me by being happy, okay cupcake?" Lissa pressed a kiss to her head, Carol smiling at the mother and daughter.
Aaliyah smiled softly, "I will."

Barbara Denning stood in her cell, discussing with the woman who called herself "Daddy." Just as Daddy passed her a bag of some pills, she went to return to her bed until Daddy stops her. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Carol's working with someone else who used to be an inmate here back when you first got here. Her name is Alissa Channing." Daddy informed. Barbara squint her eyes, finding the name all too familiar. "She's the daughter of those two serial killers from the 60's."
Barbara snapped her fingers, "Oh yes, I remember her. I never did like her, it sucks that she's back. Carol was always awfully protective of her. I don't know what she's got against me. I never even talked to her." Daddy shrugged, not getting it either. "Well, if you wanna get back at her, we could just deal with her daughter. She's here too and rumor is, she's working with Carol. It's like some weird family reunion or some shit." Barbara hums, "Weird. But don't make a move on the kid 'til I tell you."
"You got it," Daddy nods, walking away. Barbara returned to her bed, her mind on Alissa, thinking of why Alissa had something against her. From what she recalled, the two never even talked before.

Alissa walked down the hall, heading towards the library, a Stephen King book resting in her hand. She spotted the cleaning crew of D-block girls, and inhaled nervously when she seen Barb talking to one of them. Alissa continued to walk the hall, not giving them any attention until Barbara was suddenly in front of her. "You're that crazy one who has a dyke crush on my sister, right?" Barbara questioned.
Alissa raised a brow, "Uh, I'm not crazy, and me and Carol are just friends." That was a lie, but Barbara didn't need to know that. Alissa and Carol were extremely private about their relationship, deciding to make sure they appeared "just friends" in front of everyone else. Of course it was the total opposite behind closed doors. "You see, I just don't believe that. Carol always was a bit of dyke, so it's not shocking that she'd be messing around with you. She always did have a thing for pyscho's." Barbara spoke, slowly backing Alissa into the wall.
Alissa stared at her boredly, internally thinking about how to break every bone in her skinny body. "I truly couldn't care less about your theories. What are you attempting to get at?" Alissa raised a brow.
Barb rolled her eyes at Alissa's attitude. "I want you to work for me." Alissa scoffed, shaking her head, "Not a chance in hell." She goes to shove past her until Barbara pushed her into the wall with a glare. "I'm sorry, I don't think you heard me properly. I didn't say you had a choice." Barb stated. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Carol interrupts, walking over as Barb let go of Alissa, raising her hands in mock surrender. "Relax, Care. We were just having a friendly conversation. I'd never harm your little girlfriend. Right, Alissa?
Carol looked to Alissa who crossed her arms, glaring at Barb. "I didn't know shoving me meant a friendly conversation?" Barb scoffed, "I never shoved you." Carol rolled her eyes, "Bullshit! You fucking liar!" Alissa's eyes widened slightly when Carol swung at Barb. Almost immediately did a CO come over to break it up. Carol laughed, grabbing Alissa's hand and pulling her towards the library as the CO was giving Barb a shot.
Before Carol could say anything, Alissa pushed her up against the wall, pressing their lips together. Carol smiled into it, pulling her closer. Alissa pulled away, cupping Carol's face. "I love you." Carol grinned, pulling Alissa's shirt over her head and tossing it to the side. She kissed down her body, getting on her knees, her lips brushed over the spot on Alissa's ribs. "You should get a tattoo here. It would look so hot on you." Carol smirked.
Alissa shook her head with a soft chuckle. "No way. I hate needles, and tattoos are tacky."

Alissa sat at the table with Carol and two others, her mind drifted to her daughter. Aaliyah had left for her trial and Alissa could only pray that it went well. Hopefully Alec could prevent her from wasting her life in prison. She was pulled from her thoughts when the two girls had left, she noticed Badison standing there and rolled her eyes. "Sit. Or should I say, "Shit," Madison?" Carol spoke. Oh yeah, so apparently D-block had put rats in the cheese supply and Badison retorted by literally shitting on their laundry.
Badison grinned, proud of herself, as she sits. "So you heard. That'll teach your sister and those D-block whores. Fuck them, fucking with our jobs. They want a war, I'll give 'em a war." Alissa rolled her eyes, she honestly didn't understand why Badison was top dog when she acted like a fucking child. Carol squints, fed up with the fake blonde. "Barbara and her dyke squad tanked our entire business. You think skid-marking their scrubs counts as returning fire?"
Badison scoffs lightly, "It's a start."
"No." Carol shook her head, "I don't wanna start anything. I wanna end them. Do you understand me?" Alissa raised a brow at Badison who didn't reply so she spoke up. "Or are you not the person we need right now?" Badison glanced at her, she didn't know what her relationship was with Carol but she knew that Alissa was officially Carol's partner in all this. "I can have my daughter take your place any time if you can't do your job right," Alissa said, Carol nodding in agreement.
"All right, I get it. No need for the British Barbie. Shanks, not pranks." Badison grinned, almost expecting them to laugh. Carol noticed this and gave her a look. "Are you waiting for a laugh? Get to work." Badison got up from her seat and walked away, leaving the two. Alissa sighed, rubbing her forehead, "That bitch gives me a headache. I don't understand how you deal with her. And I thought my kids were annoying." Carol chuckles as she calls the two girls back over to finish up the game.
"It's not easy but blocking her out most the time does the trick," Carol shrugs.
Alissa shook her head, "She reminds me of those two fuckers in that dumb and dumber movie Alec made me watch." Carol raised a brow, having no clue what she was talking about. "I'll pretend to understand what you're talking about."
"I've got a lot to catch you up on."
