[headcanons and notes]

~ Alastair is an ancient, very powerful entity that was born when a quarter of Azathoth broke off during his omnilock sleep and became sentient. He was that quarter. It was him and a cosmic entity who took the form of a large phoenix who helped shape the fabric of reality into what it is now.

~ What makes Alastair worthy of the title of Transcendent is the fact that he has Omni-Magic. This means that he has unlimited access to all forms of magic and other mystical and supernatural forces. He can bend, break, and even create natural laws, distort the fabric of reality on a cosmic scale, perform unbelievable miracles, and create things without limit. He is also also immune to all opposing magic and can even break through all outside mystic defenses.

~ Alastair has all darkness based abilities, which means he controls the entire darkness element. Not just one little aspect, he can control all aspects of it single handedly.

~ Alastair, despite what he is and controls, is quite an emotional and merciful being. This is due to the fact that he has a very strong and intact soul, something most gods either sell for more power or gets taken away by something more powerful.

~ Due to the fact that Alastair is so ancient(and because he's a piece of the supreme being), he has a level of knowledge beyond all time and comprehension. He can perceive the full form of some of the most alien beings and be fine. He knows how to heal every ailment and cure any illness. 

~ Despite the fact that he's a god, Alastair actually really enjoys spending time on earth with the humans and with nature. He finds it to be quite relaxing and therapeutic. All this time on earth has also given him something not many beings have: humility.

~ You can say Alastair has... gotten around when it comes to sexual partners, so he has a lot of kids, most of them being god and goddesses. He raised pretty much all of them and gave each of them adequate love, attention, and affection.
