Third Person's P. O. V

Her sadness is a hollowness. You can't tell what's worse. Sometimes it's a shell, holding in a thousand ocean of tears. Sometimes though, it holds a thousand pieces of glass that are wedged in between her soul and body.

It was the night before her wedding and she was sitting in her room with mixed feelings. Like when her cat died and she didn't cry. She just stood there, fighting with her feelings like she's doing right now.

And like when everybody laughed, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. That's the pain. That's the scariest thing. Sometimes she's somebody, somebody in pain and sadness and sometimes she's nobody. She doesn't seem to feel, she doesn't seem to exist.

She jumped out of her position as a knock on the door broke her from her deep thoughts. She slowly made her way to the door, confused as it was two in the morning and she wasn't expecting anyone.

"Varun!" it was indeed a surprise for her to find him standing in front of her that too, late at night.

Without her permission, he entered the room locking the door behind. She was now cursing Kriti for offering varun and sidharth to stay the night.

"What are you doing? Why are you here?" she kept her voice as low as she could.

Instead of answering her, he pushed her against the wall taking her by surprise. His arms tightly wrapped around her waist while hers automatically landed on his shoulders.

He looked at her before his gaze shifted to her lips as he leaned in. She closed her eyes waiting to feel his lips on hers but instead she felt a hot breath on her neck, then the tender brush of lips.

His lips were burning as they made contact with her cold neck. Her hands made their way into his hair, gripping them tightly as the kisses became more harder and urgent.

His lips shifted from her neck to her shoulder and then jawline. Detaching his lips, he looked at her for a second waiting for any kind of reaction before he again leaned in.

His lips brushed hers. Not innocently, like a tease but hot, fiery, passionate and demanding. She wanted to pull away but she couldn't. Her senses were being seduced and she couldn't think straight.

"Shraddha." he whispered slowly, prolonging each letter as if to savor them. She opened her eyes and his gaze met hers.

"Let's go." he told her.

"Where?" she asked.

"Just come with me. I promise we'll come back tomorrow." he said as he rested his forehead against her.

"But tomorrow is the wedding!" she looked at him, worried.

"Exactly!" he answered.

"What do you mean? And where would we go?" she asked.

"I-I can't lose you Shraddha. I can't go through that pain again because I know this time I won't be able to survive this." his eyes started getting teary.

"Varun." she whispered caressing his cheek, lightly.

"I've got it all figured out. Just please say yes!" he pleaded.

"Yes." without even thinking for a second she nodded.

"Yes?" he couldn't belive his ears. She pressed her lips against his for a brief moment.

She didn't know if leaving the house and running away from the marriage was a good decision or not. She just knew one thing that she needed to trust him.

For the first time in her life she did something for her. She took a step for herself. For the first time in her life she felt content. Despite of having worries about facing her family, she was still happy to be with varun.

"You're regretting it?" he asked her.

They were both laying, silently on the king-sized bed of the hotel room, facing the ceiling.

She turned her face towards him and he was already looking at her. She reached out for his hand and intertwined their fingers.

"Not even a little bit. But yeah, I'm scared. Dad-" she couldn't complete.

"You don't have to be scared. I'll be with you. In every step of your life." he scooted closer to her and their faces were now closer than before.

He leaned in but she moved her head, causing his lips to meet her cheek. His hands grasped her waist pulling her closer as he moved on top of her.

He kissed her and the world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. His hand rested below her ear, his thumb caressing her cheek as their breaths mingled.

She ran her fingers down his spine, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them and she could feel the beating of his heart against her chest.

The day passed in a blink and they were now on their way to Shraddha's house. It was almost midnight which means the guest who were invited to attend the meeting would've left by now, because certainly the marriage wouldn't have happened.

"Hey, it's gonna be alright!" he held her shaking hand and she gave him a small smile.

A tight slap was received by her as she was standing in front of the whole family. Dhawans, Malhotras, kapoors, everyone was present at her house.

"You've no right to slap her like that without listening to her." Varun said as he stood between her father and her.

"I don't want to listen anything. She's a disgrace to this family. You know how much embarrassed you made me in front of everyone?" her father yelled.

"Varun, I didn't expect this from you." his mom glared at him.

"Not now, mom!" he glared back at her.

"Uncle, it's not her fault. I was the one who took her with me." Varun told him.

"What is she? A child?" her father yelled.

She hid behind varun in fear. She raised her head a little bit and her eyes met sidharth, making her heart sank. He gave her a half sad smile, making her feel more guilty.

"Let it go now. We should be glad that she is home now." shraddha's mother jumped into the conversation.

"Shut it. I won't spare her." her dad shouted.

"What would you do, huh? Kill her? Go ahead do it." varun gritted his teeth and shraddha's father looked at him fiercely.

"D-ad!" Shraddha spoke.

"I-I'm sorry dad. But I can't do this marriage." she cried.

"Didn't you think about my son before leaving? The guy who loves you so much." Sidharth's mother asked.

"I did. But... What about me? I should be the one who has to care about everyone's feelings but what about my feelings?" she broke down in tears.

"Marriage is not a joke. You'll didn't even asked me if I wanted to marry him or not. It's my marriage for God sake! Why am I not allowed to take decisions? I'm a grown up girl. You can't make me do everything you want." she yelled.

"And sidharth. You guys ruined our friendship. I can't even look at him now." she cried.

"Don't say like this shraddz. You're still my best friend." sidharth came up and hugged her which she gladly returned.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." she apologized while still crying on his shoulder.

"It's OK. You should've told me though. Did you really think that I was that evil guy who will forcefully marry you?" he tried to lighten up the atmosphere.

"I love you, sid!" she chuckled.

"And you, Mr. Steal your girl!" sidharth said giving varun a tight hug.

"Take care of her or else!" he whispered in his ear, threatening him.

"Uncle, I know they did wrong but their happiness is with each other." Sidharth tried to make him understand.

"And don't worry about me, I'm sure I'll get a lot of hot girls. I mean there's Kriti and others." he winked at Kriti as her eyes widened.

"If that's what you want, then fine I've no objections regarding their marriage." shraddha's father finally agreed.

"I love you, dad!" Shraddha hugged him.

"So, how about we reschedule the wedding?" Varun's dad asked.

"Would next week be okay?" shraddha's mother asked.

"Wouldn't that be too far?" Varun scratched the back of his neck as everyone looked at him.

"I'm kidding. It's perfect, as long as she's my bride." he looked at shraddha with a wide smile and she smiled back.

"Aww..... Y'all so cute!" Kriti exclaimed , faking tears.

"Drama queen." Sidharth chuckled and she stuck her tongue out at him.

"Why do I feel like we all need to hug?" Kriti asked and they all burst into laughter as they all shared a hug.

And that's the journey from being her crush to her lover!
