Salem Gerard is the only child of Roman Mayes and Elizabeth Gerard. She was raised by her muggle mother with no information on her father, under the impression that her father had abandoned her. After a prank by the Marauders, Salem was socially outcast at Hogwarts and was very secretive and excluded. Salem was determined to find her father and become a Hit Witch, achieving both of these through hard work. After finding her father and opening up to James Potter behind an anonymous chess game, Salem begins healing from her built-up trauma, accepting who she is and allowing others in. After school, Salem goes on to become a Hit Witch but resigns once falling pregnant. Salem and James fight in the first wizarding war, going into hiding to protect their son-- and after a sacrifice from their life-long friend, the couple resumes most normalcy and raises the Boy Who Lived.
