Kelvin  POV

I have never been so scared of loosing someone in my life, well asides Ella. It's been over 3 weeks now since I last saw my elder brother smile let alone give me his usual playfully wink. He's been on the hospital bed since that day I came back from school, meeting him on the pool of his own blood almost gave me a heart attack. He looks soo numb and cold and i couldn't bear to see him in that state. I called my father who was  at work, he was working with the editor to finalize a few things,  on the movie he and my brother had working on for these past few months.

Immediately he heard what I told him, he literal flew here and rushed Denis to the hospital. Since then, he is yet to open his eyes. I had prayed, fasted, did everything I could to wake him up but he still wouldn't open his eyes. I didn't know what else to do. I felt so useless then and i still do.  I was sited at our usual sit with the guys in the cafeteria but my mind wasn't there. I was lost, lost in my thoughts as I listen to "Lost in the woods" by Jonathan Groff. I was really worried for my brother's sake and he was part of the reason I didn't sleep all night; well, aside the fact that I had another exam by 10:00am this morning.

Everything felt so different without him, even though he was like 47% around because he was always working on his next big thing. Still, he always made out time for me and I love that about him,  no matter how busy he was he was always there. Now, it feel like he is slowly drifting away, and I didn't want that,  I wanted my fun, caring, jovial, cheerful and carefree older brother back. I choked on a sob,  I didn't even know I was cry already, but i couldn't hold it any longer. I let the tears flow freely from my eyes as I sang the chorus to the song I was listening to from my ear pod.

"Kelvin!!!  "

I was startled and brought back to reality when Ella called my name for the the third time. I gave her a weary smile before pulling out a spare tissue to wipe away my tears and blow my nose. Once I had composed myself, I looked at her with a sad eye as she gave an encouraging smile and said.

"It'll be okay. "

"You don't know that. "

I responded with fear evident in my voice. She stretched and place her fragile yet strong hands on mine which was on the table opposite hers. giving it a light reassuring squeeze she smiled at me before saying.

"Your right. I don't, but what I do know is that your brother is fighting for his life in there, and you're going to have to stay strong for him, we all are. "

After a while, she withdrew her hand and I Immediately missed the warmth and comfort her hand gave me. I looked down at my food and scrunched my face in disgust as I saw a trace of catarrh In my half eaten spaghetti. I pushed it away from myself as I felt nauseated by the sigh, Ella who was closely monitoring me spoke up calling my attention.

"Kelvin? Whats wrong why aren't You eating any more? "

"Nothing, its... Its... I'm not hungry "

"That not true, you barely ate 10 spoons and now your not hungry. Here, how about I feed you mine? "

"Were you counting? "

"That's not the point. C'mon switch sits with Ebuka so i can feed you. I've already eaten more than I can chew "

"But I don't wanna, people are watching."

"C'mon will you switch sits fast fast before I drag you here my self. "

"Fine"

I slouched with a hit of blush on my checks before I got up and switched sits with Ebuka who always sat beside Ella, why I always ended up directly opposite her. Once we switched seats, she began to feed me one spoon at a time, I was beyond embarrassed to say the least. Each time I  tried to tell her to stop she would glare at me or pinch my arm and I would have no choice but to open up and eat the food as she fed it to me.

I was just thankful that every one was so busy they didn't notice Ella was feeding me,  and to those who did Lydia gave then a dead glare as if daring them to try and take a pic of it. Lydia maybe a girl of average height but, man, is she brawny. Always  ready to defend her friends at any cost, she was also supper sweet and super annoying too but in all, she's one in a million. I smirked at her when our eyes met and she just shrug it off and giving me a lopsided smile before saying.

"Hey Greek god, smirk you ready to trash that literature exam "

See this is why I said she can be pretty annoying. She still hasn't drop the name Greek god, sigh . I was going to groan and complain about that but I was too emotionally drained so, I just rolled my eyes at her and went with the flow.

"Ready when you are captain corky "

She glared at me playfully and we all laughed it of,  Soon Ella finished feeding me her spaghetti and immediately the bell rang and everyone was filing out. Each of them going to prepare for there next exam which was by 1:00 pm.

4:00pm

We've been sitting here for over an hour now and I was starting to get sick of staring at my brothers motionless body. Still no movement as he laid rigid on his bed, at least he is recovering from the coma slowly,  he can now breath on his own without all the weird cables and wires attached to him.

Immediately I finished my exam from school, I had told our family driver who came to pick me up to drive me and the guys here. Ever since me and the guys got to St. Nicholas hospital which was located at 57, Campbell Street, Lagos Island , Lagos, LA, Nigeria. He hadn't move, or flicked, or said a word. And to be honest I was starting to get worried again, seeing him like this was really scaring the crap out of me. I sniffed,  blinking the tears away and I moved closer to his bed to say.

"Hhey bro... I had another exam today... It was lit, i.. I'm pretty sure i aced everything. Its, its kinda boring without you at home, I'm always all by myself (looking back at my friends who were also in his room with me) well sometimes. The guys are here too, Chigoze, Ebuka, Faruq, Mercy, Lydia and Emmanuella "

They all walked forward and came to stand beside me, Ella held me close to her just in case I crashed while the rest were close enough for comfort so they don't chock the air around him. Chgozie spoke on behalf of all the rest of them saying.

"We are really sorry this had to happen to you Denis.  We all hope and pray for your recovery. You have a charming younger brother who's been crying his eyes out just to see you smile again "

He finished as we all laughed lightly. Immediately the laughter died down, we head it, I head it loud and clear because I saw his mouth move for the first time in 3 week.

He kept on calling her name as his nose moved sniffing the air. He sniffed out her favourite Cologne which Ella was wearing.  It was then it dawn on me

Addie!!

She was the answer to waking my brother up, to getting him to open his eyes. My brother is been in a coma for 3weeks just the way I've been in a coma for 3 days. Ella was my cure and so therefore Addie is his cure. My face broke into a simile the minute I realized this and so did Ella's as she gave me a knowing look saying

" I think its time my big sister put on her big girl pants, and paid Denis a visit. "

"I couldn't have said it better"

I responded before holding my brother shoulder to reassure him that Addison, Ella's eldest sister was coming to pay him a visit soon.

"Hang in there bro. Addie is coming "
