⋆ ˚｡⋆ ✧   when gellert grindelwald manages to escape from the captivity of the macusa, the british ministry of magic's life turns completely upside down.

lyra alura black has been working at the auror department for years now. and even though she is a fully trained auror, she is still stuck as an assistant slash drafter.

well, that is not a negligible factor either that lyra works with her ex-boyfriend who is no other than the head of the auror department himself, theseus scamander. eh, who cares? - lyra would probably just spat at that fact. 

against her will, lyra's been dragged into the inquest and hunt for grindelwald and this bumpy road leads not only outside the country but to the past too, where she has to re-live and re-examine all of the relationships in her life. and which decisions led her to this very step.

⋆ ˚｡⋆ ✧  the noble and most ancient house of black is one of the biggest, oldest and richest pureblood families in all of great britain.

the blacks were commonly described as having "great good looks" and a certain aristocratic elegance that reflected upon their personalities, for they considered themselves "practically royal".

the black family tree is presented at one of the rooms at the family's home, in grimmauld place 12, london. it's a complicated set of tree branches , decorating the wall tapestry.
 
most of us, fans can associate the family with the famous sirius black. but their history consists much more person through wizarding history.

lyra alura black is the daughter of that phineas nigellus black - and his wife, ursula (b. flint) - who's been named as the most hated headmaster of hogwarts. phineas nigellus was the principal of hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry until his death in 1925. so... he could accompany all of his children's education there.

(since numbers and math in this situation and this era are very complicated, a bit brainwashing and nonsense, a lot of information is incomplete or makes no sense, I won't write ages, years of birth throughout the story. so there will be no such information regarding these stuff)

the couple's eldest child is sirius (who, of course, is not the same as harry potter's godfather, sirius). however, this sirius will appear in the story as an adult man with his wife, hester gamp, and their children. their first child, arcturus will also have a role here. (there will be another arcturus who is the younger brother of sirius and lyra).

the second eldest is phineas , named after his father. he was disowned from the family (when lyra was pre-teen-ish) because he supported muggle rights. phineas will also appear in the story.

the third eldest is the first girl, belvina. her husband is herbert burke (as in borgin & burke's).

she is three years older than the twins, cygnus and the protagonist of our story, lyra.

in "reality," arcturus is the third oldest son in the black family, two years older than belvina. but since he has no "important" bloodline, i dared to make him younger. thus, in the story, he will be four years younger than the twins.

as i stated above, 
i wrote most of the black family
off the family tree, the only differences are
that i "pasted" lyra in and changed arcturus's age. 

i wrote about this before too, but as we all know, 
there is a lot of plothole, inaccuracy and confusement
in the crimes of grindelwald movie, for example the ages of 
several characters, so i won't ever mention these infos, because
i don't want to mix things in up in either mine or your head.  

the story's title is the english, translated title of antal szerb's
 (a Hungarian author) book, originally utas és holdvilág (which translates directly to
traveler/wanderer and moonlight).  i really liked this title and the vibe captured me
so i chose this to be my story title, i hope i will be able to pass this journey by moonlight
vibe to the story. 

also: i'm not a native english speaker so i'm translating my story to english from hungarian, and although i'm nearly perfect in english, you may find some errors.
