Katherine's POV
When I get out of this, and I will, I'm going to kill Isobel. After 500 years on the run, Klaus caught up to me, all because of her. I should've never relied on Isobel and I never should've came to Mystic Falls, yet here we are. Sitting in a chair, waiting to die.
"Oh! Who is this guy, safari sam?" Klaus questioned, as he went through Alaric's closet. I heard him pull two hangers off the rack before walking to showcase two shirts.
"Ok, bad, or badder?" He asked for my opinion, while holding a plaid and all black button up.
"The dark colors suit you better." I sighed while keeping a blank expression, assuming he could see right through it. He grabbed the all black one while throwing the other on the bed beside him.
"Oh, thank you, honey. Ok, pop quiz. The dagger and white ash are in the Salvatores' possession, correct?" Klaus asked before putting on the shirt.
"The dagger was used to kill Elijah. You'll find him in the basement of the Salvatore house." I answered.
"Ok, that dagger needs to stay exactly where it is. The last thing I need to do is resurrect Elijah. Ohh, that guy is a buzz kill." He muttered under his breath.
"Don't forget you're on the outs with your girlfriend Jenna." I reminded him.
"Right. Elena's aunt. For all the lies about Isobel." He remembered.
"You're also close with Amira. If you act a certain way, she'll notice." I mentioned, thinking about the whole friend group. Saying her name sounded nice and I got a weird tingling sensation spread through my body at the mention of her. I have no idea why, considering all she does is aggravate me.
"Ah yes, the angsty teen witch. What else?" He ordered, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"That's it." I stated, not making eye contact with him as he walked towards the chair. He then got closer and ran his hand against my hair as I gasped in fear.
"Oh, so jumpy." He ridiculed while looking down at me with a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Please, just...kill me. I've told you everything that I know." I pleaded with him to end this five century long game of cat and mouse. He smirked at me before bending down to my eye level.
"You see, I believe that you believe that. But what would you not know? What could they be keeping from you? Hmm? Anything? Tell me." He compelled me.
"They we're trying to see if Bonnie could find a way to kill an original without a dagger." I answered monotonously. I didn't miss being able to be compelled.
"Bonnie the best friend?" He asked as I nodded timidly. He then stood and crossed his arms as he towered over me.
"I thought you said she didn't have her powers anymore."
"She doesn't. Or didn't. I don't know. You kidnapped me, remember? I'm kinda out of the loop." I reminded him bitterly.
"Well, we'll have to get to the bottom of that."
"Please, just kill me, Klaus, and be done with it."
"And show you kindness? I've searched for you for over 500 years. Your death is going to last at least half that long." He declared as I shivered at the thought. I should've just let him kill me, would've been better than running. I looked up to see he had a pocket knife in his hand.
"I want you to take this knife...and stab yourself." He said slowly but sternly. Even though he was in Alaric's body, I could only see Klaus, and the daring yet mischievous glint that swirled in his eyes. He held out the knife in front of my face waiting for me to take it. I took it slowly and then mentally prepared myself as I stabbed my leg. I let out a painful at the impact of the blade piercing my skin.
"Now take it out."
I then yanked the knife out of my leg letting out a yelp as the blood dripped down my thigh.
"Now while I'm gone, I want you to do that over and over and over again. And if you get bored, switch legs." He instructed as I felt the wound start to close due to the vampire healing.
"Where are you going?" I sighed breathed heavily.
"I'm gonna go lay eyes on my precious doppelganger." He stated while leaning back towards me before planting a kiss on my head. I did my best to keep a straight face, but my body language said something else.
"Oh, don't look so glum, Katerina. The fun is just beginning." He said sardonically with a smirk on his face. He then leaned off the chair keeping eye contact with me before turning around and walking toward the door.
"Again." He ordered while grabbing a coatย off the coat rack. I then rolled my eyes in irritation before stabbing my leg again.
Amira's POV
I hastily grabbed my bag out of the backseat of my moms car, before rushing into the high school through the double doors. I was running kind of late this morning, but luckily I have Ric first period. He usually gives me a free pass. I walked through the already open door to see Ric standing at the front of the class with a book in his hand, Elena holding up a paper showing it to Bonnie, and Stefan looking at Elena. I looked over by Bonnie to see an empty seat behind her before rushing over to her.
I set my bag down on the floor before pulling out my notebook and a pen. Bonnie turned to look at me and smiled. I smiled back before turning my attention to Ric.
"With the decade dance tonight, we've been covering the sixties all week." A girl with brunette hair answered.
"Right. The sixties." Ric trailed off before he glanced over at Elena weirdly. He looked like he was fascinated by her. I looked at him suspiciously before looking at Stefan who wasn't paying attention. Something was up, I knew it, I felt it in my gut. The way he looked at her, it didn't look like Ric to me at all.
"The, uh, ahem...the sixties. I wish there was something good I could say about the sixties, but...actually they kind of sucked. Except for the Beatles, of course. They made it bearable. Uh, what else was there? The Cuban missile thing, the-we walked on the moon. There was watergate." He spoke as he paced the front of the room while he wrote down the sixties on the board. Wasn't watergate a decade later? Ric knows that better than anyone.
"Watergate was the seventies, Ric." Elena smiled at Ric as the other kids in the class looked over at her with questioning gazes, probably due to the fact she called him Ric...
"I-I mean, Mr. Saltzman." She corrected gulping as she kept looking straight ahead.
"Right. It all kind of mushes together up here, the sixties, seventies. Thank you, Elena." He said with a smile before turning back to the board. I was going to find out what was up with him.

Class was over and everyone had left already. I stayed behind just to talk with Ric.
"Hey Ric, you alright?" I asked him while I packed up my bag.
"I'm alright Mira, just having an off day, you know everything going on with Jenna. How about you?"
"I'm doing fine, just wanted to see if you were, seeing as you were acting incredibly weird today. I mean, I might as well be your daughter since I know a lot about you. Now, if I was anyone else I would've believed what you just said and I would've walked away, but I'm not everyone else, you know that better than anyone." I said suspiciously as I walked closer to him. He then started to laugh, not like in a joking or humorous way, but in a way that was unsettling.
"You know, Katerina was right. If I acted a certain way, you'd notice, and see I can't have you interfering with my plans now can I?"
"Who the hell are you and what have you done to Ric?"
"Don't play dumb Amira James, I know you're smarter than that, maybe too smart." He said closing the distance between us and looking down at me. I raked my brain for who could've taken Alaric's body. Who was smart enough to be able to do that? To be able to get away with it and have many people to be able to clean it up? Only one person came to mind and he fit the bill perfectly.
"So you finally showed up to the party...Klaus."
"Had to make an entrance." He said with a smirk on his face before I felt something hard clock me in the head as my vision started to fade and deteriorate.
Alaric's POV
I underestimated the little witch and Katerina for that matter. She's a bit too smart for her own good. It'll only get her killed one day. The little witch actually looks familiar.
I had to meet up with the Salvatore's, the Bennett witch, and my doppelganger at the Salvatore house. First, I needed to have Amira taken to Ric's apartment since she'd divulge my plans and we can't have that, one my minions will take her while I deal with the Salvatore's.
I knocked on the door before walking in the Salvatore house to see everyone already standing in the living room.
"There you are." Damon said upon my arrival.
"Sorry I'm late." I apologized before closing the door behind me and walking in to join them.
"Hey, I need you to put me down as a chaperone at the dance tonight. Klaus made his first move." Damon told me.
"Ok, so we find him and then what, hmm? What's our plan of attack?" Elena questioned looking at everyone.
"Me. I'm the plan. He has no idea how much power I can channel. If you can find him, I can kill him." Bonnie answered as I looked at her. She can't kill me even if she tried, she's an infant and not nearly powerful enough to be able to kill me.
"That's not going to be that easy. I mean, he is the biggest, baddest vampire around." I informed, stating the fact of the matter.
"Alaric has a point. I mean, what if he-." Damon said before he sped towards Bonnie who stopped him with a wave of her hand. Damon landed on the other side of the room with a groan.
"Well, I was impressed." Stefan said pursing his lips as he looked at Bonnie.
"It doesn't matter if he's an original. I can take down anyone who comes at me. I can kill him, Elena. I know I can." Bonnie said as she looked at Elena who smiled softly at her. I looked on cautiously as they informed me of the plan. I was sort of surprised they hadn't asked about the angsty teenage witch, yet I'm not really surprised seeing as all of their sights are set on my precious doppelganger.

I went back to the teachers apartment, seeing Amira still knocked out on the bed and Katerina with blood dripping down her leg with the knife in her hand. I needed a new look seeing as I was going to reveal my plans and take what I came here for.
"Ah, you're right. This witch is all juiced up and aiming to kill and Amira James, well she's just too smart for her own good."
"That's terrible." Katerina commented tiredly as I walked toward a drawer full of other clothes.
"We're gonna have to kill her, Maddox. Do you think this Alaric guy has anything vintage?" I questioned as I scavenged through all of his drawers. I looked through one and found a hollow slab of wood between the clothes and something else. I lifted it up to find an assortment of weapons.
"Cross bows, wooden bullets and automatics?" I questioned as I pulled out of crossbow and faced Katerina.
"Who is this guy, again?"
"He's the local vampire hunter." She answered.
"Ahh, well, that explains the clothing."
"All I could find. Guy likes his bourbon." Maddox said as he brought me a drink.
"I knew there was something about him I liked."
"That's surprising." I heard from the bed as I saw Amira sitting up wide awake.
"Sleeping beauty's finally awake." As I saw her struggle with the handcuffs around her wrists and try to conjure up a spell. She then looked over in my direction and glared at me.
"There's a high school dance and I'm gonna need you to take out the witch bitch." I ordered Maddox.
"Like hell you will." Amira sneered.
"If she has that much power, she can sense me coming from a mile away. I won't be able to get near her. You have to do it." Maddox argued.
"In this body? I'm a haggard history teacher. She can easily hurt me. I mean, not me, Klaus me, but you know what I mean. I might bring Eliza as my back up, where is she?" I asked Maddox.
"She'll be back, she's getting something. No witch could handle channeling that much power. It'll kill her. It would kill me. You just have to make her use it." Maddox answered.
"What?! The hell are you talking about?" Amira questioned.
"Am I going to have to knock you out again?" I questioned looking at her frustratedly.
"You just might." She answered defiantly. I snickered at her behavior before turning back to Maddox.
"You mean like provoking her to death?" I asked referring to the Bennett witch.
"Won't take long. Just keep attacking her until it kills her. His body, Alaric's, will last longer than hers will."
"How? He's human."
"Eliza and I can help in that department. We can do a spell to protect you." Maddox answered as I smirked in triumph before looking at Katerina who looked away.
Then I saw the young girl in question.
"Sorry, Klaus I was hungry. The teacher has nothing good here but bourbon." Eliza said as she had nachos in her hand. I looked between her and Amira to see Amira already looking at her in skepticism. Eliza hadn't noticed yet. I had however. This was going to be fun.
"It's alright, good of you to finally join us. I need a protection spell. You and Maddox are going to do it."
Amira's POV
Maddox and Eliza did their protection spell on "Alaric" and left along with him leaving me with Katherine.
"You just had to figure it out, didn't you?" She asked breaking the silence between us. I looked up at her to see her walking toward the bed.
"What?" I questioned her as I absentmindedly fiddle with the rings on my fingers. He had taken the cuffs and left me there with Katherine. He threatened to kill my family if I left, which I didn't appreciate. When I got out of this, I was gonna snap his neck.
"That Alaric wasn't actually Alaric. You could be sitting at your house right now or at the decade dance yet you're here. You should've played dumb."
"Oh I'm sorry! Let me just turn back time and redo it for your accommodations." I rolled my eyes at her.
"I'm just letting you know Amira. Klaus has no need for you and he will kill you if he has to. So play dumb."
"Careful, I may start to think you care about my well-being, Katerina."
"Wouldn't want that, now would we?" She said as she leaned forward making intense eye contact with me.
"No. No we wouldn't. Can't go around ruining that fantastic reputation you've built for yourself."
"No we can't Amira James. You know, you hate Elena with every fiber in your body, yet, you help protect her with the rest of your little friend group, why?"
"Why is that any of your business, Katerina? Seeing as every time you ask too many questions, you get yourself in trouble."
"I was just curious, and you need to stop calling me that."
"Well learn to not be and no, I don't think I will, it's got a nice ring to it."
"So what happened, Elena outed you to the whole school along with rejecting you?" She questioned ignoring my previous statement. She wanted to get under my skin and get a reaction out of me. I wasn't gonna let her.
"Oh sweetheart, I'm not one of your little boy toys, so don't try and get a rise out of me." I spoke lowly holding eye contact with her. She kept her physical composure, but her eyes told me everything. She was surprised and intrigued. She was about to say something until "Alaric" walked through the door all banged up. Katherine and I turned around to face him. Then I thought about Bonnie and the others. If he looked like a tornado hit him, then what did they look like.
"What the hell did you do?" I stood up walking toward him.
"I successfully killed the Bennett witch."

I know I know, it's been a little minute. I'm working on balancing this life with my other one. How did we like this chapter? Who's Eliza? I'm building up towards the angst between Katherine and Amira. You'll get more arguing between them for the rest of this season. Anywhoooo, I'll see you folks next time, I love you 3000.
