"It's been a long time, rei-san." Hiruzen said, greeting the beautiful yukikage.

The last time he saw her, she was only a child, still learning the ways of the world. Before Yukikagure closed their gates and resources to the rest of the villages. When ice jutsu users were becoming obsolete, dying in the vast numbers, the villages hidden in the ice decided to close itself from the rest of the world. Protecting their civilians was their top priority. And protecting the Himura clan was amongst the upmost importance.

The Himura clan was a much richer and stronger branch of the extinct Yuki clan. They were so private that the rest of the ninja world thought that they were a myth. A fairytale to tell children at night. But that was until word went around that they will be attending the chunin exams, making them shine in the spotlight.

When he got word that Rei will be in town for the exams, he had to see her again.

Rei Himura, formerly known as Rei Todoroki, was the daughter of the previous Yukikage, Hiroto Himura. When she was 20, she married a man from across the seas named Enji Todoroki of the Todoroki clan. They specialized in fire style and lava style jutsu and were highly regarded in their respective communities.

The two fell in love at first sight with each other and had a happy marriage. They had five beautiful children together and lived happily in the tropical area his clan settled in. But before the twins were born, Enji was killed during a mission, leaving Rei widowed and pregnant with two babies.

It was hard for her and her children to live on without him. Everything reminded them of him. And because women couldn't take the leadership role in the clan, Touya being too young to hold that mantle, they moved back to Yukikagure.

Where her clan accepted them back with open arms. The move was hard on her children but they grew to love the icy plains and the snowy weather. Calling it their home.

Touya Todoroki grew up to become a captain in their villages anbu black ops. Becoming the youngest captain in Yukikagure history at just 11 years old. He was a prodigy in his family. Strong, smart, disciplined and sometimes laid back.

Fuyumi Todoroki, Rei's eldest daughter, became her advisor and was a teacher at the academy. Kids loved her a lot and she loved her job. She looked up to her mother and has always wanted to be like her.

Natsuo Todoroki, her third oldest, became a director at the hospital in their village. He has always loved studying medical science and has always wanted to heal people in this world. Combining ice style jutsu with healing jutsu, he became one of the most sought after doctors in Yukikagure.

Then there were Shoto and Tomomi Todoroki, the twins and the youngest of the family. They were both born in Yukikagure, never knowing who their father was. Only going off by what Rei has told them about him.

The twins were a highly intelligent pair, the best of the best in their class, and strong genins. They ranked top ten in their school and we're currently taking the chunin exams with their teammate, Fumikage Tokoyami, another respected and skilled genin.

"It has been a while," Rei spoke in such a delicate voice. Like sparkling icicles in the sunlight.

She wore a beautiful white and ice blue kimono that reached the floor. A sheer white robe was wrapped around her elegantly. Her pure white hair laid around her in soft waves, the front part was pinned back with a dangling icicle hair pin. She wore her kage hat on top of her head, proudly showing off the symbol on her hat. 

 "You've grown up since the last time we met." Hiruzen added, pouring them hot tea in two cups. "I half expected Yukigakure to not respond to the Chunin Exam letters. What changed your mind?" 

"Well, I believe we have been silent for far too long." Rei sighed a little, picking up her tea cup. She took a small sip of the heated drink, cooling it with her chakra. Causing Hiruzen to arch his eye brow at her. "My apologies, I just prefer my tea slightly colder." 

He chuckled a bit, smirking behind his cup. Rei reminded him of her father. Cool, seemingly emotionless and yet, so friendly. 

"But, Yukikagure has closed its gates from the rest of the world for years." She added, placing her cup back down. "I believe it was right after the great ninja war. When ice style jutsu started becoming obsolete and the Yuki clan was eradicated." 

Hiruzen hummed. He remembers all of that. In fact, he remembers Kakashi's team going on that mission, where they encountered a member of the Yuki Clan. 

"When we received your letter, we were skeptical to even make the journey." Rei continued to explain. "Our gates have been reopened for a few years now but we were reluctant to even want to communicate with the rest of the villages. You know we don't have the best relationship with Sunagakure." 

"I've heard." He mused over. 

Sunagakure and Yukigakure have never had any love lost between them. They weren't enemies but they weren't friends at all. Their history has always been misty. A mystery to the rest of the world, honestly. 

"Well, I am glad you have decided to rejoin the nation again." He said, smiling softly at her. 

Rei grinned back, tilting her head a little to the side. "It feels great to be back." 

Meanwhile, all genins who have registered to take the Chunin Exams have to meet at the ninja academy to commemorate the start of the exams. Which will take a few months.

Newcomers to Konoha Tomomi Todoroki, Shoto Todoroki, and Fumikage Tokoyami arrived with Lady Yukikage, Rei Himura, late last night to participate in the exams to elevate their status. They were the only team in their village that were eligible to take the exams, given their high scores, their skills in teamwork and missions, and the amount of successful missions they've handled in their time of being genin. 

With their team leader/jonin, Shota Aizawa, they would be the first of their village to venture outside of Yukigakure in a long time. 

"How do you like the village already?" Tomomi asked as the three made their way to where all of the other genins were supposed to meet. 

Shoto scoffed, crossing his arms. "I hate it here." He grumbled a bit. "It's too hot and everyone here has a staring problem." 

"I agree." Tokoyami added, walking with his hands in his pockets. Tomomi rolled her eyes at the two. She sometimes wishes that they weren't so stoic and brash. Their attitude could get them in trouble. People will start to think that they are cocky and unassuming. 

"Can you two not be so cruel? Konoha is a beautiful place." Tomomi said, thinking of the places they've seen already. "The flowers are vibrant and colorful and the sights are truly amazing." 

"You think everything is amazing." Shoto chuckled, patting his younger twin sister's head. "You're too compassionate, sometimes." 

"And you're too insufferable sometimes, Shoto-nii." She joked, playfully glaring at him. 

"Hey," Tokoyami suddenly spoke up, making them pause. 

"What is it, Toko-chan?" Tomomi asked, as the two paused. they were already on the floor they were supposed to be. But something felt off to Tokoyami. And when he was feeling something off, it was always best to listen to him. 

The trio stood behind the group of genin crowding the room, which held the wrong number above the door. They were on the second floor, not the third floor. Tokoyami could already tell that this was a genjutsu. His guess? Those thuggish teens blocking the door placed it to trick the graduates. 

How did he find out? Whoever did the genjutsu was obviously an amateur. The hallucination was done in poor taste and if any one of these genins had half of a brain, they would have realized that already. Also, it was very obvious that they were still on the second floor. The entrance was just below them. 

"There's a genjutsu activated." He finally answered them, after surveying the area. "Do they not realize that?" 

Shoto and Tomomi frowned a little before paying attention to the front of the crowd. It looked like there was a fight of some sort going on. The three decided to just spectate for the time being. 

"Some of you won't even survive the exams." One of the bullies spoke smugly. "Others will be wrecked for life and some of you may go crazy. For chunin, it's always life or death." 

"Thank you, Captain Obvious." Shoto mumbled, earning a giggle from Tomomi and a small chuckle from Tokoyami. 

"Delicate little girls don't belong here." His friend said to a girl with two buns on top of her head. "So go home and play with your dolls." 

"You all are pathetic." Tokoyami scoffed out loud enough for everyone to hear him. Every head was turned to him as he crossed his arms, looking very unimpressed with his surroundings. "This is obviously a genjutsu. We're on the second floor, not the third floor." 

One of the bullies arched an eyebrow at him, almost irritated with him. "Oh yeah? What makes you think you know what a true genjutsu looks like?" 

"Yeah, maybe you're just nervous about the exams." His friend echoed, as if he knew everything in the world. 

Tokoyami just smirked slightly as he made his way to the front of the crowd. The twins followed him as other genin teams all stared at them in shock and awe. 

Everyone has heard of the once secretive and mysterious village hidden in the ice. There was a rumor around Konoha that they would be participating in the Chunin exams here. Judging by the village symbol on their headbands, they were the famous genin three from Yukigakure. 

"You're not as boring as I thought." Tokoyami said, standing in front of them. He raised a finger to the ring leader's forehead, poking his temple a little. "But you're not as bright, either. If you would have been more perspective, you would have noticed how the illusion is shaky and disorientated. Your buddy sucks at chakra control. " 

How did he notice that before me? Sasuke Uchiha, of team seven, thought as he looked at Tokoyami in pure shock. How strong is this guy? 

The ring leader grew redder with annoyance as Tokoyami just embarrassed him and his friends in front of everyone. But he didn't care. 

"If all Konoha ninjas are like you three, your village is doomed." Shoto retorted, crossing his arms. His comment made everyone gasp at him. 

They all thought this guy was super bold for saying that in a hallway filled with other genin teams. a lot of them came from the village they were in now. 

Tomomi sighed inaudibly, clasping her hands behind her. She really hated doing damage control for Shoto's smart ass personality and Tokoyami's brutal honesty. It's a miracle that none of them were mobbed because of their words. 

Often times, it felt like she was the oldest in the group, not the youngest.  

Suddenly, the room number changed from 301 to 201. The correct room number. Proving that they were all on the second floor. 

"You're pretty smart for a genin." The leader of their group said, smirking. "But let's see if you're faster!" 

Just as he swung his foot to deliver a kick to Tokoyami's face, it was stopped by a hand. The guy who stopped the kick wore mostly green, his hair was cut in a bowl shape and he had really bushy eyebrows. Tokoyami's eyebrows rose a little, impressed by his speed. 

Impressive speed. He thought, giving him his praise. 

Oh my~ Tomomi thought as a light pink blush graced her face. Her eyes widened at the boy. He was so handsome in her eyes, it was ridiculous. And his strength to block that kick was so cool to see. 

"Well, things got more interesting in this boring village." Shoto spoke up, smirking slightly. His words, once again, got everyone's attention. After that fiasco was done, all of the genins started making their way to the right floor. "Let's go, guys." 

Tokoyami and Tomomi began following Shoto as they made their way to the third floor. But not before they were stopped again. 

"Hey! You!" A voice called out to them. The trio stopped and turned around. 

"What's your name?" a guy with long brown hair and white eyes demanded, rather than asking politely. His eyes were on Shoto, so he was talking to the two colored genin. 

Shoto furrowed his eyebrows slightly, turning to face him fully. "My name isn't any of your business," 

Not liking his answer, the long haired boy raised his eyebrows at him, as if he just got challenged. This kid really had a horrible attitude towards those who were older than him. 

"It's common courtesy to introduce yourself when you are asked of your name." 

"That's original coming from a guy who didn't even ask for my name politely." Shoto shot back, already deciding that he did not like this guy. "What? Are all you leaf ninja this idiotic or is it just you? Just when I thought I would have some type of competition.....All I see is a pathetic face in front of me." 

"What did you say to me?" The older teen asked, starting to walk over to him but was stopped by his female teammate. 

"Neji, don't." She quickly stopped him. She didn't want to get in trouble for fighting before the exams. 

"You heard me." Shoto challenged. Just before he could walk up to his face, Tomomi quickly stopped him. 

"I apologize for my brother's attitude." She said diligently, bowing a bit at the small group around them. "He doesn't do well in warmer weather. I am Tomomi Todoroki, this is my twin brother Shoto Todoroki and our teammate Fumikage Tokoyami. We come from Yukigakure." 

"Yukigakure?" A boy in all orange questioned. "You mean the village hidden in the ice? I thought it was a fairy tale." 

"As you can see, we're real." Tokoyami retorted, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"You're from the Tokoyami Clan?" Sasuke asked, gaining their attention. "I heard your clan specializes in genjutsu." 

"That's probably how he knew it was there, in the first place." Sakura mumbled quietly, surveying the Yukigakure three. Especially Tomomi. 

Tomomi had to be the prettiest girl any of them has ever seen in their lives. Hip length pure white hair that fell into soft waves all around her, parted down the middle to frame her royal-like face. Bright ice blue eyes and perfect lips. Even the short kimono dress she was wearing looked expensive and beautiful. 

She looked like an ice princess. And it made Sakura feel a decent amount of insecurities in her.

"You must be an Uchiha." Tokoyami pointed out. He noticed his clan's symbol on the back of his shirt a while ago. "I look forward to seeing you in action." 

Sasuke looked slightly taken aback. But he quickly recovered, giving him a very tiny grin. "Look forward to seeing what you got, Tokoyami." 

Tokoyami scoffed before turning to walk away. Shoto gave Neji one last look before following his teammate. Tomomi flashed them a tiny smile, waving bye to them as they began to leave. Leaving the remaining teams to watch them as they made their way over to the right floor. 

One thing for sure. Those Yukigakure ninjas were just as bold as they seemed strong. 

Sorry it wasn't an entire interaction with the rookie nine, I wanted to 
save some interactions for different one-shots. To kick off Tomomi's harem a bit more.
