You opened the door to your sister's room and found Megan petting her snake. You winced at the sight and cleared your throat. "Uh, MJ, I thought we're supposed to be at the library."
Megan frowned. "Do we have to? I don't want to be away with Five."
You cocked an eyebrow. "Five?"
"It's my snake's name!"
"Because he's pet number 5?"
"Precisely."
You chuckled. "I thought because you wanted to name him Five because of the story you read a year ago."
Megan smiled. "Oh, yeah, that too. You liked the character more than I do."
You watched as she put the snake back to its cage and tied her hair. You stepped inside and crossed your arms. "You couldn't have think of a better name?"
"Five is a good name."
"It's a number, Megan."
Megan sighed. "I was thinking about naming him Sir Reginald or maybe Loki but Sir Reginald is already taken by my lizard while I want to name my child as Loki or Sylvie."
You glanced at Megan's lizard just by her books, crawling freely. "Oh, yeah, I remember Sir Reginald. Where's his little monocle and top hat?"
Megan glared at the lizard. "He lost it." She huffed before walking towards you. "Come on, let's go. I want this thing to be done."
You and your sister headed to the library in your house and opened the door to find thousands of books around on the bookshelves. Megan crossed her arms and glanced at you. "Why do you want to know so much about our family history all of a sudden?"
"Just curious." You answered before entering the library. "Start looking. I'll start on the right, you start on the left."
"Aye, captain."
The two of you looked for books that could relate to your family. You gathered some books and placed them on one table. You started browsing some pages until you found Megan has gathered more books. Megan smiled. "I know a lot more in this library, sis, so don't be surprised."
"Yeah because you're obsessed with libraries."
"Hah!" Megan cackled. "Guilty."
You and your sister started looking for something about your family. Megan would show you some phrases or paragraphs and you would write them down on parchment paper. Few hours have passed, Megan gave up and leaned her back against the wooden chair. "I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm done reading books."
You nodded and laid your head down at the table. "Why does our family have so much history?"
"What exactly do you want to know about anyway?"
You lifted your head up and looked at Megan. "I want to know why can't a Stark snd a Malfoy can't be together, M."
Megan stared at you blankly before nodding and gasping. "Oh! Starks and Malfoys have been at each other's throat since the 16th century."
"That long?" You gasped.
Your sister nodded. "The first Lucius Malfoy wanted the Queen of England's hand but he was unsuccessful. But one succeeded. Although it was a secret relationship, the Malfoys knew it was one of the Starks."
You continued to listen as Megan continued with her story. "After one of our ancestors have successfully won Queen Elizabeth's heart, Lucius allegedly jinxed the Queen to make her subsequent opposite to marriage. The Starks were of course were furious about the rumor but the Malfoys have denied the rumors and accusations."
"And because of that, the Malfoys and the Starks are rivals?" You questioned. "They haven't moved on from that?"
"After that incident, years and decades passed by and every generation of our family and the Malfoy family have always created something to be argued or fight with. Until Dad and Lucius Malfoy, you know Draco's father, somehow managed to become friends but still rivals."
"So the closest relationship we ever have with the Malfoys is with Dad and Lucius?"
Megan smiled and shook her head. "Yes until recently."
You raised an eyebrow. "What happened recently?"
"You and Draco!" Megan exclaimed. "You two see each other as more than friends, sister! Imagine a Malfoy together with a Stark. It's like breaking an unknown curse that has on our family and his!"
You shook your head as you closed the books and started piling them up. "No, I don't know what you're talking about."
"There's nothing to hide, (Y/n)," Megan replied. "It's a bit obviousβno, scratch that. It's too obvious. And there's nothing wrong with that."
You watched as Megan stretched her arms and slightly yawned. "Well, I have to go. I need to feed Moxxie."
"The possum?"
"He is not a possum." Megan frowned. "But, yeah, he does look like a possum." She left the library while you returned the books to its shelves.
When you finally placed the last book in its right place, you saw Darcy just beside you with a letter. You turned to her and smiled. "Oh, hey, Darcy. Do you need help?"
The house-elf shook her head. "No, miss. But I happen to have a letter."
You tilted your head in curiosity as you took the letter when Darcy gave it to you. "To whom was this from?"
"I was cleaning your clothes until I found a letter in your pocket similar to that letter that I found here at the library," Darcy explained.
You smiled at her. "Thank you, Darcy. You can rest now, I'll take it from here."
Darcy nodded and left the library as you sat down on the chair and opened the letter.
My Romeo,
β β β I must let you know that I barely write letters. So you must know that I may just be writing two to four letters. I don't know. I don't wish to write that many. After all, I did found you.
β β β Yes, I have found you. For all this time, I didn't know that my Romeo would be just right in front of me. Here in Hogwarts of all places! I thought I was going to meet you in the Muggle world but no. It was as if my vision has grown stronger and brighter when I realized it was you.
β β β Perhaps I should call you my Vision now. A unique nickname for the man I have been looking for.
Your Juliet,
Scarlet
Your eyes widened in surprise. 'No, it can't be.' You looked around the library in astonishment. 'This letter... was here?'
You quickly headed back to your room with the letter in your hand until you bumped into your father. "Oh! Sorry, dad!" You quickly apologized.
Edward shook his head. "No, no. It's alright. You seemed to be in a rush. Is there something wrong?"
"Just found an old letter." You showed him the envelope. "How about you? I thought you were going to pick up Uncle Steve and Aunt Peggy."
"They informed me that they'll be coming next week instead of today. I think something urgent happened." Edward gasped and pulled out something in his pocket. "Oh, I almost forgot."
He showed you a necklace with a heart-shaped pendant. Edward grinned to himself. "What do you think?"
You smiled. "Is it for Mum?"
Edward nodded and placed the necklace back in his pocket. "I'm giving it to her tonight."
"Date night?"
"Oh, yeah. It's been a while since we had a date night."
You patted your father's arm and nodded. "Well, I hope you enjoy yourselves, dad. You two deserve it."

You instantly woke up with beads of sweat rolling down your forehead. You had a nightmare and you didn't know if you were going to wake up. A hand was firmly placed on your shoulder causing you to jump in surprise. "Hey, hey, it's me," Megan said softly. "I had to wake you up. You were squirming."
You sat up and groaned. "Just a... nightmare." You wiped your sweat away and placed your forehead on your palm. Megan sat beside you. "Wanna talk about it?"
"It's... Dad." You sighed. "I had a nightmare about Dad being there... and dead."
Megan shakily took a deep breath and narrowed her eyes in curiosity. "Dead?"
"Yeah... it was horrifying. He was killed."
"Killed by who?"
"Lucius. Lucius Malfoy."
Your sister stared at you in surprise as you continued to explain. "I have been dreaming those lately but it was different before. Whenever Dad is killed in my dreams, the man is masked or not revealed. But now he showed his face."
Megan shook her head. "No, (Y/n). This Starks and Malfoys feud has been stressing you. Even the Boggart you saw last year. You have to relax and stop worrying about negative things."
You nodded. "You're right. I have to stop worrying about it. I mean, Lucius could never... right?"
In the Malfoy Manor, Draco slowly opened his eyes when he heard faint noises outside his window. He looked up to see an owl poking its beak to the glass. Draco got out of bed and tiredly rubbed his eyes. He immediately recognized the owl. "Frigga?"
He noticed a letter just beside the owl. He took it and before he could say anything, the owl flew away. "Wha--hey!" Draco sighed and shook his head before closing his window and sitting back to his bed.
Lucius Jr,
β β β β I know how much you meant to my daughter and I know how much she meant to you. Although our families aren't that quite friends nor did we have a good history together, I believe you and my daughter can make this work.
β β β β I know your father's history. He used to be a Death Eater, a servant to You Know Who, but after his defeat, your father lied about him being under the Imperius Curse. Believe me, it took me a while to deduct what was the real truth.
β β β β And that's the thing I'm worried about. I'm worried that you're going to follow in your father's footsteps and when the inevitable comes, you might serve the Dark Lord when he comes back. Now, here's what I want you to do.
β β β β I want you to promise me to leave (Y/n) out of danger and from the Dark Lord. If you want her to be safe, then make sure she is safe.
Sincerely,
E. Stark
P.S. This letter is between you and me only, understood?
Draco closed the letter and looked at himself in the mirror. His jaw clenched as his eyes closed. 'I'll... try...'
