Clarisse La Rue was a damn tank. Apollonia Son was the field she stepped on with her red chuck taylors, full of sunflowers and weeds. Like a stain of red, smeared on a painting meant for the sun.

Apollonia Son never minded, she could always repaint that picture. Fill it with roses instead of sunflowers. It never made a difference to her. And that is why Clarisse begrudgingly started to like her.

She was like an annoying Beatles song, playing on repeat whenever she looked at her and it's always 'Here Comes the Sun'. Because, here comes the damn sunshine, making her grey cloud melt away with that shiny smile and bright gold hair. Her and her vanilla and marigold scented skin, brown-gold eyes, and gentle touch. Damn her.... making her actually care about someone and all she did was say 'have a good day' after healing the bruises in her knuckles.

Clarisse hated her. Or at least she thought she did. She couldn't tell and that was pissing her off. And it was all Apollonia's fault.
