09 | Reality Kim

"Cactus, are you sure this is what you want to wear?" I questioned as I sprayed kids perfume on her dress. "Yes, Daddy. I look like Wednesday Addams," She said as she turned to her full length mirror.

She was dress in a black sleeveless knee-length ball-gown with a golden coloured bat-shaped design plated at the back. A chunky lace-up black boots with a bat-shaped golden coloured metal headband and a bat-shaped golden coloured shoulder bag.

Everything was Bat-shaped. "let's go, Daddy!" She said and slipped her tiny hands into mine as we made our way out of her bedroom.

Her Classmate, Dabin was having a birthday party and Reality insisted on going even though she always says how much she didn't like her.

"Ticking bomb, Why do you want to go to this party? I thought you said you didn't like Dabin," I asked as I helped her get into the passenger  seat. I fastened the seat belt before moving to the driver's seat.

"Sometimes I hate her, sometimes I like her, and sometimes she just makes me feel somehow. Don't you understand things like that?" She exclaimed moving her hands with the words.

I chuckled before glancing at her. "I understand. I feel like that with my friends too, sometimes." I replied.

"Anyways, I'm going to Dabin's stupid party because I want to make her cry. She's always showing off in school and I hated it. I'm sure my dress is more beautiful than hers," She responded, cutely pouted and folded her arms.

"W-what," I was too stunned to speak. Reality has always been like this but I've never heard her say she wants to make a person cry. "What do you know about making people cry?" I questioned, low-key amused.

"You'll see, Daddy. She'll cry so much, they'll have to stop the stupid party." She responded, flashing me an heart melting smile. I knew she had something planned the moment she asked to wear a ball gown to a birthday party that wasn't hers but I couldn't wait to see what shenanigans she was planning to do at the little girl's party.

Being with Reality wasn't able to stop me from thinking about the previous night. Who was that woman? Glitter.
The way she looked at me caused weird feelings in my stomach. Thinking about it caused the feelings to erupt again.

No— I should be focusing on Getting Anton Stepanov killed. The back rooms had CCTV cameras in them so killing him in there would most likely get my identity revealed but then again, trying to kill him anywhere other than the back room would be a suicide mission.

The only doable option was the back room but the obstacle was the CCTV.

"Daddy, Can you get me a pet?" I looked at Daddy and waited for his response. "I want a big scorpion in a glass box," I added still waiting for this answer.

"Daddy?" I called when he wasn't answering me. He does this sometimes. What do they call it? Space off? He does that sometimes. "Daddy!" I called again and tapped his hands.

"Huh? Cactus?" He looked at me before looking back at the road. "What were you thinking?" I questioned.

"Work stuff," He simply replied.

"Can you tell me?" I asked.

"I can't, Death trap. It's part of the rules at the company," He replied making me sigh. I really wished I could help Daddy with this work but then, an idea popped into my head.

"Daddy, what was on your friend's mind? You said work stuff right? Can you tell me what your friend was thinking so I can tell him the solution?" I said, Daddy bursted in laughter while looking at me.

"Nice try, death trap but it's also against the rules for friends to know each other's mission unless the company say so," he replied.

"Too many rules, but daddy, can't you make an exception? I am your daughter, and that means I'm a part of you so can't this part of you know?" I said. Daddy only tells me about his missions after he finished doing them but I always wanted know beforehand.

"You little—Okay, I'll make an exception 'coz you're my Boiling volcano," he said. "I am to kill a mafia boss in a particular room but the problem is that there is CCTV camera in the room. If I do kill him, the camera will capture my face and I might go to jail," he added.

"Do you have to kill him in that room?" I asked and he responded with a nod.

"Can't you wear a mask and cover the camera before killing him? that way, they won't see your face," I suggested.

"Actually Reality, that is a really good idea. That might actually work. Thank you poisonous cactus, you just saved me from hours of brain storming. You're the best." He said and held my hand with one hand while the other was on the steering wheel. "I love you,"

"I love you too daddy,"

We finally got to stupid Dabin's birthday party, most of my classmates came and were with their parents. Out of nowhere, idiot Mono's Mom came, startling both Daddy and I.

She has a problem, she always does that.

...and she obviously liked my daddy but I don't want her for him. She was ugly.

"Hi Reality, Mr Kim," She said while holding Idiot Mono's hand. "Nice to see you. Reality is looking really beautiful," she bent down to my height and said. I looked at her and kept quiet. I knew what would come out of my mouth won't be good so I decided not to speak.

If I were to respond I'd say "get your face away from mine, you're ugly!" and I was planning on making Dabin cry not Mono's mom.

After some seconds of weird silence, I decided to walk away. I couldn't stand it anymore. "Daddy, I'm going to walk around." I said and walked away.

While scanning the house with my killer eyes, I heard my name being called. "Reality! Reality wait!" I stopped walking and turned around only to be faced with Idiot Mono.

"What do you want? Why are you following me?" I asked with a frown. "Bold of you to assume I was following you," He replied and earned sigh.

"You said 'Reality, wait' and came running after me while I was minding my business but now you say bold of me to assume you were following me?" I asked, not that I wanted an answer. "My mommy said to follow you," he replied anyway.

"Don't follow me!" I firmly stated.

After a minutes of walking around Dabin's big house, I finally found her in her bedroom, sitting down in front of a mirror with a Stupid Cinderella dress.

"Dabin, I see you got a clown costume for your birthday," I said, announcing my presence. "It's not a clown costume, it's a Cinderella beautiful dress," She replied while stepping closer to me.

"Did your mom say that? I see. Moms are liars, that's why I don't have one. She told you your dress looked beautiful but she was just lying so she could make fun of you in her mind. Your dress is the ugliest one in this party." I spat out while I watched tears welled up her eyes.

"That's a lie. You are lying!" She exclaimed and cried even more. "No. It's true! But if you want me to fix the dress for you, I can," I suggested.

"Can you fix the dress for me?" She asked and slowly wiped her face. I nodded and gave a fake smile.

"Before I fix your dress, you have to promise you won't tell anyone that I fixed it for you. If your mom asked, tell her you fixed it yourself," I said.

I walked closer to her study table and grabbed a sharpener. Stepping close to her, I penetrated the material with the sharpener, making a long ugly line. After making numerous cuts and I was sure the dress looked torn and tattered enough, I stopped.

"There! All done. Now you look pretty,"
