CHAPTER FOUR !

— Calista's POV.

  I rub my eyes and open them slowly, i look around to try and acknowlege where i am and i rush up in panic immediately banging my head on the bathroom counter.

"fuck!" i raise my hand to my head swiftly.

i hear my doorbell ring and jump up once again, this time missing the counter and not hitting anything.

i quickly turn on the tap and wash my face with cold water to wake me up and rush down my stairs to the door whilst getting me fluffy slippers on and putting my hair in a bun.

i unlock the door and look around not seeing anyone then i feel someone tap my thigh and look down immediately to see my younger brother with a backpack in his right and a note in his left hand.

"lili!" my brother drops his bag and jumps into my arms and i catch him quickly with a big smile smile on both of our faces.

"elijah! oh my gosh!" i throw him up in the air and catch him, spinning him around as he giggles.

i put him down sitting him on the staircase and grab his bag and lay it on the staircase aswell.

i shut the door gently and locking it leaving the key on the stand nearby.

i turn back to my brother fidgeting with his fingers.

i kneel down to reach his height and ruffle his hair up and grin.

"eli, you know i always love having you here but what are you doing here? why aren't you with auntie or uncle?" i question him squeezing his cheeks.

he passes me the note and i read it.

'calista, im sorry this is on such short notice but me and theo have had to go on an emergency family trip as our eldest daughter has been rushed to hospital and i dont know how long its going to take so please take care of this sweet angel for a bit and ill see you soon, love aunt claire xx'

i hold back a sigh and look back at elijah who's watching me read the note.

"well eli, i guess it's just us for a bit so why don't we go put your stuff down in your room, yeah?" i grin and he gives a toothy grin and nods happily.

he runs up the stairs while i chase him to his room and i eventually catch him and snake my arms around his waist throwing him over my shoulder and setting him down on my neck and he giggles and begs me to let him down.

"lili- let me down- haha!" he laughs in between every word as i shush him and set him down on the floor of his room.

"okay elijah, i'll let you play on your ipad for a while then i'll call you down for lunch soon, i've just got some things to do, is that okay?" i kneel down to his height and smile.

"okie dokie, buh bye lili!" he grins and looks under his bed to find his ipad and turns it on giving me a wave goodbye.

i wave back and exit his room shutting the door behind me and sighing.

my phone vibrates in my pocket and i sigh once again but this time in annoyance, who could even be texting me?

i knock on elijah's door before i go in to see him watching a slime video and i smile.

"hey elijah, i hope you don't mind but griffin is coming over to play with you, is that okay?" i ask him.

"is it the one from that karate show you were in?" he looks up with a big grin on his face and his eyes glistening.

"yep, you met him about a year ago." i exclaim happily.

"is he still nice? do you think he'll play video games with me? oh can we invite mason over aswell?" he jumps up and down.

mason.

"yeah, he'll probably play video games with you and he's still nice but masons busy today so maybe a he can come a different day." my smile falters a bit.

i hear the door open and elijah zooms down the stairs while i try to catch up to him.

"karate boy!" elijah squeals and jumps into his arms giddily.

"elijah! and my names griffin not karate boy.." griffin stifles a laugh.

"how did you even get in.?" i raise my eyebrows in confusion.

"well.. i stole a spare key just in case this opportunity every came and it did so.." griffin smirks.

"oh whatever, weirdo!" i roll my eyes.
