"You're slow! Run, you shitheads!" Shadis yelled at the running cadets. Today's training involved a few mile run into the forest with big and heavy backpacks. To test the might of the cadets.

"What's wrong, Arlert?! You're falling behind!" Shadis targeted Armin, who was actually a little behind the group. "Is it too hard for you?! Do you want to be the only one who puts down his equipment?! If this was as real mission, you'd be Titan food already!"

While Pariza had no problem with the training course, Armin was falling a bit behind. Which she felt really bad for but she knew he would complain to her if she tried to help him in anyway. But still....that didn't stop her from worrying about him.

That was, until Reiner actually took his backpack from him and told him to run ahead.

"You'll end up dropping out this way!"

"But, now, they're gonna punish you, too!" Armin argued back.

But Reiner ignored him. "Then do you rbest so they won't find out! Don't make me change my mind!"

Reiner Braun. He possesses great mental and physical fortitude. His comrades trust him deeply. Shadis thought as he evaluated every cadet that zipped through the trees, cutting up the titan dummies.

"That was my kill, Golden!" Annie yelled after Pariza took the oppurtunity to slash at a titan dummy she was about to get.

Pariza just smirked at her and continued on. "Try harder, pretty!"

Annie tched as she continued on, a little frustrated but she was kind of impressed by her, at the same time. In the course of knowing her, Pariza really began to come into her own. And it was shown to every other cadet and Shadis just how much she's improved.

She went from someone who seemed too soft to be a soldier to a fighter in just three months of their second year there. Annie was a little proud.

Pariza Al Ghul.....Where to start with her? Shadis thought as he kept a close eye on her. Initially, I was giving up hope of her being a good soldier but she honestly surprised me. She may look like Naisha did but she really is her father's daughter. Just like Cyrus, she grew into her own person and she's shaping up to be a perfect soldier. Not only is she incredibly smart, she fights very well.....You must be so proud of her, Cyrus....

Pariza was her father's daughter, alright. It only took some time to show that to Shadis. And in certain moments, he had flashbacks of when Cyrus was a cadet whenever he would watch her train. There was no denying that she was, indeed, shaping up to be just like her father.

You and Naisha raised a well rounded daughter, Cyrus.....

On the field, where the other cadets were sparring again, Pariza and Annie began sparring together again. They moved to a more secluded place to spar and be alone. But all of that was interrupted when Pariza saw both Eren and Reiner making their way to the two girls.

Well, more like Reiner looked like he was on a mission while Eren just went along with whatever he was doing.

"In coming." She whispered to Annie, who shot her a little confused look.

Annie then turned behind her and saw the two young men make their way over to them. She rolled her blue eyes. She could smell the bruised masculinity off of them.

"What's going on?" Pariza questioned but was pushed aside a little by Reiner, who was now facing Annie. "Hey!"

She frowned a little, not appreciating the light shove. Just because she was small, didn't mean they could push her around like that. She had rights, too.

"It's okay, Golden." Annie said, walking up to the taller man. "This will be quick."

Pariza fought a knowing smile that was threatening to grace her lips. Eren could be so impulsive sometimes but she could tell this was all Reiner's planning. Seeing how reluctant he was.

Annie got into her fighting stance, waiting for one of them to make the first move.

"Alright, Annie!" Eren said, getting to ready right now. "You know what to do! Here I come!"

He charged at her but it was short lived when she reversed his attack and kicked him hard in the leg. Making him fall to the ground in pain.

Pariza winced as she watched the whole thing. "Are you okay, Eren?"

"I'm good, Pari....." Eren groaned in pain, holding his leg. "Seriously, I'm okay. No need to worry."

"Can we continue now? I would like to get this day over with." Annie said in her usually cold tone of voice.

"No." Reiner denied. "It's not over until he let's go of the dagger."

"Are you sure that's a thing?" Pariza questioned him, looking up at him. "He could get hurt, you know."

"He'll be fine, tiny thing." He said, as if it weren't a big deal. "Have more faith in your friend."

"I do it's just..." Pariza trailed off. Annie was a different type of fighter. Like Mikasa, she was tough and already an expert at combat. And while Eren had a lot of fight in him, he can be pretty impulsive.

"Eren, I think you should-"

It was too late. He got back up with the wooden dagger and charged at her again. But like last time, he ended up back on the ground. This time, Annie threw the wooden dagger he had at Reiner, making him catch it quickly.

Pariza smiled a little, giggling under her breath.

"Golden, why don't you show Reiner what I taught you?" Annie asked, stepping aside. "Your turn, Reiner."

Pariza took her place. "I'm sorry if I hurt you, Reiner." She apologized before hand.

But the taller individual just scoffed. Was she serious? Pariza couldn't even harm a fly. What made her think she would really hurt him? This was very laughable. "Okay, whatever you say, tiny thing."

Annie watched with no expression in her eyes as Pariza, quite easily, overpowered Reiner, took his dagger and leg sweeped him. Just like she did. Leaving him folded on the ground, next to Eren. In the same position.

Although she was proud of herself for getting the move right, she couldn't help but feel bad for Reiner. She probably really hurt his leg with that kick. Pariza was just a compassionate person. Especially to those who became her friends.

"I'm so sorry, Reiner." She apologized but also fought a smile from forming on her face. "Not so tiny, huh?"

"You did...good..." He groaned in pain. "Keep it up...."

"I told you....Pari was a quick learner." Eren groaned right next to him.

Later on that night, Armin was talking about Wall Maria again to Jean, a Cadet named Daz and some other cadets that were listening. Pariza wasn't really listening into the conversation as she continued to read her parent's family book.

Her father gave it to her when she was a child and hasn't opened it until two years ago. They were on their third and last year as cadets so she decided to read through it, finally.

"Long ago, when civilization started, rested a kingdom in a land filled with sand. The kingdom resided where the sun forever shined upon it's golden structures. The name remained unknown to everyone, for you did not find this kingdom, it found you.

The people there worshipped a being that stood like a giant. It's body was made of pure solid gold, it had a razor sharp teeth that was forever bared on display but the eyes of a goddess. Hair was long and black and eyes were golden. No one knew what this being was but despite the monstrous mouth, the beauty it hold was enough to hypnotize anyone into worshipping it.

For it was a gracious being. Never murderous but always just. It's soul resided into the Queen's body, giving her the status of a goddess. Whoever held the being in their body was granted with powers beyond this world and beauty like no other.

But, when the Queen died giving birth to her heir, the powers were past down to that baby girl, and her daughter before her, and so on. The name of the family was long forgotten but their legacy will forever remain...."

Golden being? Pariza thought, frowning a little. What a strange fairytale book....I wonder....

"So, Pari." Jean interrupted her reading."What do you think of the MPs now? Pretty cool, huh?"

Pariza didn't really pay attention to him as she continued to read her book. But she answered him, nonetheless. "You're still a coward." She said bluntly.

Her comment caused him to suddenly freeze up while Eren laughed at his face. "You tried to impress her and landed right on your ass! Hahaha!"

"Shut up, Jaeger!" Jean yelled, blushing from embarrassment. "Like you could ever impress her!"

"I don't need to, I've known her since we were kids!" Eren scoffed, flashing him a cocky smirk. "Poor Jean. You get rejected by one girl, only to come up short with the other. Besides, you're such a simpleton. You'd be comfortable wherever you go."

Here we go again... Pariza thought tiredly as she moved closer to Armin. Just to avoid any physical contact for when they decide to fight it out.

Eren's comment actually caused some of the cadets to snicker at Jean. "Don't you think it's crazy? Learning how to kill titans just to run away from them?" He continued on.

"You bring that up now?" Jean replied. "This face should be kept going for my sake, if nothing else."

And that set Eren's anger from 0-1000 as he shot up from his seat. "YOU DAMN BASTARD!"

"FUCK OFF AND FACE REALITY!" Jean yelled back, now in his face.

"Eren, stop it!" Armin tried to get him to sit back down before he got in trouble with Shadis.

Pariza closed her book to try and help him. "Eren, please do not get mad! I don't want you to be in trouble!"

She stood up quickly and grabbed hold of Eren's hand, making him look into her periwinkle eyes. "Please, calm down." She repeated softly, hoping he would listen to her.

Eren's anger began to disappear as soon as his light eyes met hers. He sighed, allowing her to encase his much larger hand in her smaller, softer hands. She always had a way of calming him down when he was about to go off the deep end.

Something about her eyes and soft hands would always make him come back to earth.

Just as he was calming down, Pariza was pushed to the side, quite harshly. Making her almost fall down. But Mikasa was there to quickly catch her.

"DAMN YOU, ASSHOLE!" Jean yelled at him, grabbing his shirt.

A little startled but quickly regaining his anger as soon as he saw him push him Pariza aside like that. "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! DON'T YOU EVER TOUCH HER AGAIN!"

"WHO CARES?! I'M JEALOUS!!"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT?!"

Suddenly, Pariza grabbed Jean's hand, twisted it and kicked his leg under him, causing him to fall to the ground in pain.

Annie, who was watching from the otherside of the mess hall, grinned just slightly. She does learn fast. I'm impress.

"I'm sorry I had to do that but it's not polite to push people who are trying to help." Pariza scolded at him, frowning as she spoke. "If you think reality is just living comfortably and following your own whim, can you seriously call yourself a soldier?"

Before Jean could reply, everyone heard Shadis walk up to the mess hall. Every single cadet quickly sat right back down in silence as the angry Captain walked in.

"I thought I just heard some kind of noise." He grumbled at them. "Someone care to enlighten me as to what's going on?"

When no one spoke up, Mikasa decided to say something to get him off of their backs. "Sasha just ripped a giant fart, sir!"

"What?!" Sasha exclaimed, feeling mortified by her accusation. Everyone in the room began to try to hold in their laughter as Sasha wanted to crawl in a hole and die.

"You again?" Shadis stated coldly, making her gasp in horror. "Learn some self-control, cadet!"

With that, he left the mess hall, closing the door behind him. As soon as he was gone, the entire room erupted into laughter.

Completely embarrased, Sasha immediately hid her face into Pariza's side. "Why would you do that?!" She mumbled in horror as Pariza chuckled, patting her back sympathetically.

"You'll be okay, Sasha."
