Twin Trouble || 13

aera and jungkook (twins) as jimin's children! happy reading! i hope you like the chapter ^^

___

"fuck off," aera scoffs, wiping her hands on her sides and ignores the older boys glaring down at her and her brother. she picks up her bag casually, heading to the door, though she stops for a second, raising up a brow at jungkook, who is quite visibly scared of the situation they've gotten themselves into.

"are you just going to stand there?" she says to him, grabbing his hand and pulls him out of the restroom with her shooting one last glare at the group of older boys.

jungkook gulps thickly yanking his hand back and glares at her too, although he says nothing for he didn't want to fight with aera here in front of all the people in a mall. so he just grips on the straps of his bag, speed walking ahead of her, getting an annoyed groan from the girl.

"kook, are you mad?" she jogs to catch up with him, getting no response from the brother, "jungkook-ah, talk to me. are you mad?" she tries again, but when he doesn't even look at her, it bugs puts her off and she huffs back in frustration. "fine! keep ignoring me! i'm sorry that i had to pee and decided to do it in a restroom unlike you boys who can just stand in front of any wall and pee!"

"shut up," jungkook mutters, "you could've waited for the ladies restroom. but you're such an ass aera, you did this on purpose!"

"wha— ew! why would i do this on purpose? ladies restroom is wayyyy cleaner and more hygienic than boys'! like please! ew! who even wants to go there?" she cringes, "you guys don't even know how to pee. did you look at those guys? they were playing around there while peeing! that's disgusting!"

jungkook's cheeks burn with embarrassment and also anger for he couldn't decide what to do that would make his sister shut up. he had already told her that it was bad idea when aera proposed to him that she can just use the gents' restroom because the ladies' one was packed and she couldn't hold it anymore. jungkook protested a hundred times which aera ignored easily and pushed him inside the restroom first to check how many guys were in there.

fortunately there was none. aera got in quickly, shut herself inside one of the cubicles while jungkook was forced to stand by the urinals, keeping an eye on the door. aera had told him to handle it if some men came in before aera was done. jungkook being the quiet, shy kid, couldn't bring himself to tell the group of older boys not to start peeing yet as his sister was inside and might come out any moment.

his fear came true and the boys gasped loudly, one of them freaked out so bad that he forgot he had to cover up. then one of them started lecturing aera about how it's inappropriate of her to be inside a men's restroom. jungkook stood quietly, embarrassed with the whole thing while his sister didn't like the words the elder was throwing at her. she casually washed her hands, lifting up the right one to gloriously show them the middle finger and flashed a tight smile, angering the boys even more.

jungkook was about to drag her out that very moment, however he realised they weren't done yet. because then the elder grabbed her by her t-shirt, glaring at her with furious eyes. everything jimin told the kids about not getting into fights flashed in jungkook's head, wanting to cry and fight his sister first for getting them in a situation like this. yet his fists clenches on his sides, about to hit the boy who had the audacity to have his sister in that threatening position.

jungkook should've known it was useless. aera didn't need anyone for support or sympathy and she proved it to jungkook again, pushing the guy away harshly and mutter the words 'fuck off' before grabbing her bag and heading out with jungkook. the boy wasn't nearly stunned, he had seen his sister breaking wooden blocks and planks during their taekwondo class, punching down sandbags with him during boxing and even almost knocked out one of her opponents outside the ring because he decided that it was okay to make fun of her after she lost a match.

she was a like a free tiger, hard to tame and harder to fight with. whereas jungkook was a decent kid, not into useless drama, preferred staying in his little introvert bubble. he was good in studies, good in sports, arts, music, dance, martial arts, and even had great mannerism from his father, which often kept him in a big contrast with his twin sister.

aera had eveything in her except for the decent behaviour. pissing jungkook off wasn't easy, because the boy just didn't like getting into fights as he often believed that their father won't like seeing him fighting people and doing weird stuff. aera lacked the thinking part, making herself the polar opposite of jungkook in this. she had no control over her hands, feet and tongue. a punch, kick and curses rolled off like nothing from aera, which often got her in trouble with jimin too.

jungkook stayed in his best behaviour, to avoid the punishments he had seen his sister struggling with. but that was only until aera wasn't pushing his buttons. being a good kid didn't mean that he couldn't punch a gap in the set of twenty-eight teeth his sister had. that's the reason their fights (if there were any) escalated to a serious one pretty fast as both knew how to fight and where to hit.

and today aera felt the air thickening between her and jungkook, sensing an off, fight-likely atmosphere judging by the boy's mood. she rolls her eyes at him, ignoring him as they walk on the street, not even having their car today because aera wanted to walk. now she doesn't.

the pedestrian is endless, adding up to aera's tired expression as she curses under her breath, pulling out her phone to call their dad and tell him to pick them up from the street near the city mall if he was yet to get home. jungkook doesn't seem to complain, keeping his eyes straight ahead that makes him stumble upon a stone and stumbling a few funny steps, pulling out a laugh from aera's lips.

the boy glares at her, standing straight while aera walks past him, "blind guy," she lets out for him to hear, smirking mockingly at him.

"shut up, aera. don't speak to me. i'm not interested in talking to you," he states.

"as if i'm dying to talk to you," she scoffs, "don't try to get in trouble with me when we both know your coward ass can't even stand against me,"

"what did you say?" jungkook grits, hands curling into fists as aera stops walking and faces him with that shit-eating grin that he hates. "what the fuck did you say?!" he storms up to her, clasping the hem of her t-shirt near her chest, shooting daggers from his eyes.

"you're a coward," aera repeats, pushing him away, "don't fight me, kook,"

"you will beat me? just look at yourself," he points at her, "all that overconfidence, i swear, i'll—"

"what?" aera glares back, crossing her arms on her chest, "what will you do? you can't even stand up for yourself and you think you have a chance against me? c'mon, kook, stop dreaming. daddy thinks you're a good boy, but you're just a coward, who can't eve—"

"i'm not a coward!" jungkook shouts, grabbing aera's shirt again and throws a punch right on her face, knuckles landing on her left cheek bone, making her groan in pain. she stumbles back when he lets go, touching her face gently where it hurts, and glares at jungkook.

"you asshole," she mutters, grinding her teeth in anger as she turns around swiftly, lifting up her right leg to jungkook's chest, kicking him hard enough to make him land on the rough ground.

"yah! kids! why are you both fighting?!" a man from a store nearby runs up to them, helping the groaning boy up. jungkook's hand is on his chest, wincing in pain while aera breathes heavily, hissing with the sharp pain on her face that she's sure will be ruined by the jungkook's punch that has the power to break three wooden boards at once during their martial arts class.

the man shakes his head, leaning down to glance at jungkook's face, "are you okay?" he asks, getting a slow nod from him, "aish, thank god. that kick looked pretty strong,"

"it was meant for his face," aera mutters.

"you, girl, why did you hit him?" the man frowns at aera, getting a glare from her.

"who the fuck are you? stop enjoying our fight and get back to your work. he's my brother, it's none of your business what i do with him," she rolls her eyes at him, stepping near jungkook and pulls him away, "now don't cry, and let's go, stupid,"

"i swear to god—"

"there is that girl!" they hear a voice say behind them. jungkook turns around, finding the same group of boys that he thought they left back in the mall.

aera gives them a displeased look, about to move forward and deal with them again but jungkook stops her in time as his eyes notice how the boys are actually looking mad and ready to throw hands. he pulls his sister back, shaking his head which makes aera frown, "what? i can fight them, okay?" she states.

"no, you can't. you're one and you're small. they're four and older and more powerful too,"

"well, then you help me fight them,"

jungkook gives her an unimpressed look, "they still have the upper hand you stupid. let's just go," he says, holding her hand and starts walking in the direction they were initially headed too.

the boys, however jog up to them, two standing in the front and the other two blocking the way from behind. the left one smirks, keeping his eyes on aera, "you think you did something back there huh?" he chuckles deeply, placing his hand on her shoulder and leans down, his gaze turning cold with the proximity, "you messed with the wrong person, little girl. you should've listened to your boyfriend and just left quietly instead of getting yourself in trouble with me,"

"he's not my boyfriend," aera rolls her eyes, "we're twins, and you have to be really stupid to not see that," she says.

"you—"

"no, just shut up and let us go,"

"or what?" another boy laughs mockingly, "are you gonna call your mom?"

"no, my dad," aera squints at him, making them laugh at her.

"and what is he gonna do?"

"fuck your mom," she smirks as the boys stop laughing and jungkook stares at her with wide eyes. she shakes her head, taking jungkook with her, walking past the two guys from the narrow space between them. the boys exchange angry glances until one of them realise that it's only aera who's fierce.

"get the boy," he mutters to his friends, making the kids halt in their way and turn around to see two of the boys heading their way.

"back off," aera warns them, stepping back with jungkook who looks unsure with eveything. "kook, get back..." she whispers to jungkook as well, getting a look for him as he gulps thickly, shaking his head.

"no, they're gonna hurt you," he says, holding her hand securely in his, "let's go," aera looks at him, nodding at his words and runs with him before the elder boys reached to them.

the twins run for a few seconds, glancing back once to see the boys chasing them. on the other side of the street, jungkook spots a familiar car, breathing heavily as he glances at aera, "dad," he says, pointing at the car that just stopped before the signal. aera follows his gaze, nodding quickly as they change their direction, leaving the elder boys confused for they're suddenly running in the middle of the street, stopping the vehicles dangerously and jump over the divider to reach the black range rover there.

jungkook knocks on the window hastily, "dad! open the door!" he calls while aera pants to catch her breath, turning to see the elder boys and smirks at them mockingly.

"we'll see you," one of them mouths and aera raises up her middle finger again before getting in the car with her brother while their dad is stunned for he didn't expect to meet his kids running in the street and desperately getting in the car.

"what is going on?" he frowns at them questioningly, then notices aera's eyes fixed on the group of elder boys across the street. the four of them look pissed while aera is busy making faces and mocking at them. "okay, what did you do aera?" jimin asks straight forward, getting the attention from the girl.

she shrugs her shoulders, shaking her head with an innocent smile, making the father sigh deeply and turn to the son, "what happened, buddy?"

"we—"

"they were going to hurt us, we ran away!" aera interrupts jungkook, squinting as a gesture for him agree. the boy hits her shoulder, shaking his head and looks at the father.

"they were pissed at us and aera just doesn't know how to back off. so they were like, get the boy, and then we ran away. i told her to just let go, but she didn't listen to me,"

"aish!" jimin massages his temples, "aera, why do you do all this baby?"

"i didn't want to!" aera pouts, "he was going to hurt me and then koo! i was going to fight them and protect us, but koo said we should go home. i listened to him then! we were going away but then they started chasing us and we had to run away," she crosses her arms on her chest.

"what exactly did you do to get them so mad?" jimin asks.

"oh... uhm... nothing really," she looks away.

"i'll tell him," jungkook declares, getting a hit from aera which he returns swiftly until it becomes a pity fight.

"hey! stop it both of you!" jimin raises his voice, "sit away from each other. kook, to the right, and aera, move to the left," the twins glare at each other but shift to their sides, sitting close to the window to avoid hitting each other. "now, kook, tell me what happened,"

"she wanted to use the toilet but the ladies' was full. i told her that we can wait but she said we couldn't hold it any longer. then she decided to use the boys' restroom, dad! can you believe it?! i tried to stop her like a million times, but she didn't listen. those boys saw riri getting out from the toilet and they were offended... maybe? they weren't happy at least and scolded her for coming in the boys' toilet,"

"and aera said something to them?" jimin sighs, getting a proud smile from the daughter as she nods. "you could've just went to a different floor and used the toilet instead of doing all this," he says.

"i didn't think of that!" she gasps, "but oh did i roast them. every word i said made their blood boil, and it was so satisfying dad,"

"no, it wasn't satisfying at all," jungkook shakes his head, "they could've beat us both pretty easily,"

"no, you're just scared of everything," aera scoffs.

"stop saying that. at least i'm not as dumb as you,"

"but you are a coward. admit it,"

"shut up," jungkook mutters, "i won't hesitate to punch your face again,"

"as if i won't break your teeth! you're lucky that man came and saved your ass,"

"stop it," jimin gives them a stern look, "what has gotten into you both? god, who will believe you were talking to your sibling like that? is that what i've taught you? is that how you behave?"

"he started it,"

"she started it!"

"stop it, i said,"

the twins shut their mouth when jimin gets on that angry tone of voice, eyes giving off a strict glare that is enough to let the two know that they better sit quietly now. in fifteen minutes, jimin pulls in front of the house, taking a deep breath before glancing back at his kids, who have fallen asleep now. aera's bruised cheek is resting on jungkook's shoulder while he's leaning on her head.

"these two," jimin shakes his head, getting out of the car and shakes aera lightly, "get up, we're home. let's go in," the girl only hums softly, cuddling more into her brother and falls back asleep.

"c'mon kids wake up, daddy isn't going to carry you inside," he sighs.

jungkook opens his eyes slowly and frowns when he looks down, seeing aera sleeping in his embrace and his arm draped over her in a hug, "ri... get away, nasty," he mumbles, getting a chuckle from the father.

"don't say that, kook," jimin ruffles the sleepy boy's hair, "riri's your sister, and she loves you, buddy,"

"she kicked my heart," he complains with a subtle pout, although never attempts to pull away from the 'devil' twin sister.

"kicked your... heart? how?"

"a high kick, dad, on my chest," he points at his chest.

"aw, i'm so sorry, i'll talk to aera, okay? come out now," jimin says, holding aera while jungkook gets off the car, "hey, get up, kiddo. how much are you going to sleep?" he says before giving up as she whines and shakes her head, leaving jimin with no other option than carry her inside.

"what happened to her face?" he asks jungkook, getting a guilty look from the boy, "alright, let me guess. you both fought?"

"i'm sorry," jungkook stares at his feet, fiddling with his hands, "she got me mad, and i punched her. that's why she kicked my heart,"

"aish!" jimin fails to get mad for jungkook's words sound more funny and adorable to him rather raging. he massages his temples, shaking his head subtly and pulls the boy into a hug, "is your heart okay?" jimin finds himself smiling as the boy nods hesitantly.

"are you mad at me?" jungkook mumbles.

jimin looks down at the son, cupping his face and leans down with a soft smile, "not really," he speaks in a tender voice, "just don't fight with each other, okay? riri's your sister, isn't she? both of you are my champs and i want you to be a team— to be on each other's side and have each other's back for a long time. and tell me how's that gonna happen if you keep fighting like this? anyone can easily take advantage of this and hurt you. you understand what i'm saying, right?"

"mm-hmm," jungkook nods, "i won't fight with her. but dad, tell her to behave as well. she's so stupid and does nothing right. she went to use to boys' toilet today and even said a lot of bad stuff to those boys. you'd faint if you heard her,"

"my goodness, was it that bad?" jimin scrunches his face, seeing jungkook nod.

"riri told them to let us go, and that guy was like will you call your mom if we don't let you go. then riri said that we'll call you. and they started laughing, then he asked what will you do..." jungkook sighs, shaking his head as he massages his temples and glances at his sleeping sister, "riri said you'll fuck their mom. can you believe it?"

"what... i— this girl," jimin seems embarrassed.

"that's why they were chasing us. she was even ready to fight earlier, but i told her that we're just two and they're four. they were bigger and stronger than us,"

"what do i do with this girl," jimin shakes his head and sits in front of jungkook, patting the boy's hair and leans forward on his knees, "look, jungkook, we know aera isn't the one to think and listen really. so i want you to be the responsible one right? we need to have a balance. i'll try to talk to aera too, but still i know you'll do a better job at this. so just be a little patient with her and try to avoid getting in unnecessary situations like these— like what happened today,"

"i don't know. i won't say anything to her. she's so stupid and just doesn't listen. she was calling me a coward when i was trying to reason her and get ourselves out without getting into a fight. you talk to her or beat her up i don't care,"

"you do, buddy. you do care, she's your twin sister after all," jimin chuckles, "c'mere," he nods and jungkook sighs softly, shaking his head, knowing that the father is asking him to sit on his lap.

"i'm thirteen now, dad. i'm almost an adult, we don't sit on our dad's lap,"

"is that so?" jimin arches up a brow, "well who was that boy who snuck in my room crying last night after watching anabelle?"

"daaaadd!" jungkook whines, getting a minor laugh from jimin as he holds the son's hand, pulling her into his lap and gives him a tight hug.

"you'll always be my little baby, kook. aera still sits on my lap too, it's okay, y'know?"

"that's because she's a girl. if girls do it, that's cute, but not boys,"

"who is teaching you all that?" jimin asks and jungkook shrugs his shoulders, fiddling with his hands. the father smiles lightly and rests his chin on the boy's shoulder, "don't fall into these false feminity or masculinity thing, kiddo. you're too young to be divided by some gender rules that don't even make sense,"

"but i'm big boy and—"

"yes, my big boy. you'll become a man even if you hug your dad and sister, play with them, share your feelings and tell us the stories that make you happy. it's not like boys who do that will stop growing into a man," jimin chuckles, "do you really think you'll morph into a girl if you show you how you feel?"

"uhm not literally. i'll still have my penis," jungkook laughs, making jimin laugh louder at his words.

"goodness, i think we should wait for a year or two for you to get what i actually mean," jimin says, ruffling jungkook's hair, getting a confused look from him, "for you to grow up a bit more,"

"yeah," jungkook nods, then gasps on suddenly remembering something and turns to sit sideways on jimin's lap, looking at straight at him, "grown ups are weird. i heard some boys talking in the school washroom. they were talking about girls,"

"i see, what did you hear?" jimin asks.

"do you know about that? girls, i mean?"

"i think so," jimin chuckles, "how do you think you and your sister came into this world,"

"ew," jungkook scrunches up his face, "disgusting. why do old people want to kiss and do weird stuff. he was saying to his friends about something— i didn't understand but i think they were talking about," jungkook stops, glancing at aera and then leans closer to his father's ear, whispering quietly, "sex. they were talking about sex,"

"and why do you have to whisper that?" jimin whispers back, "do we not say sex normally?"

"we can, if we want to," jungkook shrugs, "but i don't think riri should know. she's a kid,"

"oh, yeah, right and you're a big boy, aren't you?" jimin holds his laughter while jungkook nods, "god, my child, you're adorable," he pinches jungkook's cheek making him grin cutely with his nose scrunched up.

"i'm adorable..." aera mumbles, looking at the father-son duo and jungkook sticks his tongue out at her, getting a whine in return. "i'm adorable! you're stupid!"

"nobody's stupid," jimin sighs, "but yeah, i don't think kookie is more adorable than riri," that makes aera pout and stare at jimin like he just gave her the biggest betrayal of her life. with the pained expression, she sits up slowly, looking down at her lap and decides to ask why. "because he's a good boy. he wasn't going around cursing at people or starting a fight with them,"

"yes," jungkook nods proudly.

"i didn't do that..." aera mumbles.

"and he certainly doesn't lie either," jimin emphasizes.

aera looks up at the father, rubbing her eyes and nods slowly, "i'm sorry, daddy. i just said a little bit of bad stuff. they were going to hurt me and koo. i wanted to protect us. you said we should have each other's back,"

"you were going to start the fight. who told you to be so cocky with those boys. if you just left with me without saying all that stupid stuff in the mall they would've left us alone," jungkook says.

"okay fiiinee! i'm sorry, you're wise and smart and intellegent, kook. i get it, i'm just stupid..." she sighs, "sorry for hitting you. you're not a coward, koo. i'm the coward,"

jungkook stares at the sister, then at their father and shakes his head, sitting beside aera. he uses his hand to make her look at him and smiles, "you're not a coward, silly. you were ready to fight those guys for me. you're strong. the girls in our class would never even dare doing that. you're the strongest girl, riri. and i hit you first, so it's equal. you don't have to apologise for that. in fact i should apologise, i bruised your cute face,"

"you think i'm cute?" aera tilts her head, a mischievous smile making it's way to her face and jungkook clicks his tongue, shaking his head quickly.

"no, ew. you're ugly,"

"no, you said i'm cute! dad you heard it right?" she giggles, turning to jimin who chuckles and nods for her. "koo said i'm cute!"

"okay, fine! yeah, you're cute. but only when you're not fighting with me," jungkook sighs, "gosh! you're such a baby. grow up aera,"

"no," she laughs, giving jungkook a hug so hard that the boy falls back and both end up laughing as aera tackles him down on the couch, wrestling each other playfully.

jimin smiles at them, standing up quietly and exits the living room to prepare dinner now. the next minute he hears the footsteps of kids kids running into the kitchen and two pairs of arms wrapping around his waist from either side, making him look down only to find the two of his favourite faces smiling up at him.

"we love you, daddy! you were like a superhero today, you know that? if you didn't come in time we'd get caught by those boys and then they'd beat us up," aera says.

"nobody gets to hurt my kids," jimin leans down, kissing aera's (unbruised) cheek and then jungkook's, "always remember that daddy's gonna be right with you when you need him, okay?"

"always?" jungkook asks.

"always, yeah," jimin smiles, "and if not, then i want you both to be with each other. no fighting, just hold each other's hand and think of what daddy might do to help you,"

"are you going somewhere?" aera asks, busy taking out some ice cubes from the freezer, not really minding the depth of her father's words. but jungkook seems to notice for he falls silent, staring at jimin with fearful eyes.

"no," jimin smiles, patting the boy's hair assuringly while answering aera, "go help, riri put some ice on her cheek and— aera, stop eating the ice!"

aera grins at him, taking an ice cube in her hand sneakily puts it inside jungkook's shirt, making the boy jump at the sudden cold exposure on his back.

"aera!"

"what?" she laughs, running away and jungkook chases after her with the bowl of ice in his hands.

"hey! stop running on the stairs!" jimin shouts, sighing deey when he sees that jungkook's got her in his grip already and is now pouring all the ice inside aera's top.
