Amphitrite walked the halls of the palace, her two guards standing next to her holding their sharp spears in their hands. Her hands were behind her back, her head held up high as her heels clicked against the floor. She wore a black high waisted dress pants with a button up shirt and a black crown on her head. Her two guards, Lola and Logan opened the door to the throne room and everyone's eyes moved to the Queen of Atlantica.
"Queen Ramonda, you requested my presence. I apologize for the wait, it seems everyone has been here for awhile." Amphitrite smiled softy, walking towards the Queen who stood up to greet the other Queen. "No apologies necessary, you arrived just on time." Ramonda said. Amphitrite smiled and took the Queen's hands in her own, she pressed a kiss to her knuckles before taking her seat next to the throne.
"Stand behind me please," Amphitrite ordered her guards in Aquan and they did as told. "So, what has my presence been requested for?" Amphitrite asked, crossing a leg over the other with her hands set on her lap.
"As you do control the ocean, we must ask if you had any knowledge of another nation below the water." Ramonda spoke. Amphitrite glanced down at her hands, already knowing what she meant. She sighed, clearly annoyed and pissed off. "Yes, I do have knowledge of them. But, I do have an alliance with their king and I promised to keep his nation a secret. Whatever they did, I had zero responsibility in," Amphitrite stated honestly.
Ramonda took a deep breath unsure how to respond. Amphitrite did have every right to be loyal to the nation in her oceans, but she could've at least mentioned another nation in the water. "Apart from that. I have a question. Where was your daughter last night?" Ramonda asked.
Amphitrite raised her brows, unsure why her daughter was being brought up. "Truth be told, I don't know. She hasn't lived with me in almost two years. May I ask why my daughter is involved in this conversation?" Amphitrite tilted her head. Despite not being in good grace with Aquarella, she was still protective over her like any mother should be.
She had an idea that Rella had been with K'uk'ulkan and that pissed her off. The last thing she needed was K'uk'ulkan getting her daughter involved in a war with Wakanda. She knew better than anyone that Talokan, couldn't win. Especially with someone like Shuri who she knew, would recreate that Herb and bring back the Black Panther. Wakanda with the Black Panther, was at it's most dangerous.
"It appeared your daughter was with that man last night. She spoke Aquan, she had dark purple hair and wore jewelry and a top made of vibranium. She looked fairly like you and she was indeed a siren." Ramonda explained, looking at Amphitrite who held no reaction on her face but mentally she was pissed.
"Yeah, that's Aquarella alright. She's the only one stupid enough to transform in front of people." Amphitrite mumbled the last part. If Aquarella heard her say that then she could guarantee that an argument would've broken out. Before Amphitrite could continue to explain why Aquarella was with K'uk'ulkan, she was cut off by the doors opening and in walked Lord M'Baku with his Jabari men.
"So the river borders have been breached?" M'Baku questioned, walking in with a carrot in his hand like the proud vegetarian he was. Amphitrite raised her brows, a bit offended that he just walked in like he owned the place. She glanced at Queen Ramonda, silently questioning why she was just cut off by the man and Ramonda sighed, already growing embarrassed in front of the other Queen.
"Huh? If my soldiers were present, this Fishman would be bound before us as we speak," M'Baku stated. Amphitrite pursed her lips not believing that to be true. It was hard to catch Namor, and even worse to catch Aquarella who could kill with her voice and with just a blink of her eye, she could drown you.
"If your muscle brains were present they would still be there choking on their fuzzy adornments," Okoye shot back, not liking M'Baku talking bad about their warriors.
"You bald headed demon," M'Baku spat, pointing the carrot at Okoye and Amphitrite couldn't help but crack a small smile that quickly went away as it came.
"Show some respect you two," Queen Ramonda scolded, embarrassed by their behavior. The last thing she needed was the the Queen of Atlantica, and Goddess of the Sea, judge her ruling and nation.
"Respect? These men should be ashamed to show their faces," M'Baku said, referring to the three river tribe men.
"Watch your tone, Jabari!" The leader had defended.
Amphitrite sighed tiredly as the Jabari did their chant and Okoye hit her spear on the floor, the Dora Milaje followed, silencing them. Ramonda pointed to M'Baku's chair, he took a loud bite of his carrot before sitting himself down beside the Queen who he just took notice of. "Nobody informed me that the sea goddess was here!" M'Baku exclaimed, pointing an accusing carrot at Okoye who smirked to herself. His crush on the Queen was no secret to anyone, he was teased by Okoye and Ayo constantly for it.
"You didn't ask," Okoye stated.
M'Baku mustered up an awkward smile and stuck his hand out to the Queen. She looked at him and offered a smile as she set her hand in his. He pressed a kiss to her knuckles, "It's wonderful to have you here and grace us all with your presence, my Queen." Amphitrite set her hand back in her lap as she gave a kind smile and no word response. Ramonda rolled her eyes at M'Baku who shot a glare at Okoye.
"As I was saying, there was no arial surveillance footage of him," Okoye informed.
"And nothing by the radar of well," the man from the river tribe said.
"So, he swam under water for 100 kilometers?" The leader of the River Tribe asked, obviously in disbelief. Amphitrite wasn't shocked though. That was only a quarter of what Namor could do.
"He was not alone and claims to command a massive army." Queen said. Amphitrite pursed her lips, he wasn't lying, Talokan had a massive army that could easily take down Wakanda's, not without a fight though. Though, Atlantica held a bigger, powerful and stronger army, therefore why Wakanda had to form an alliance with the underwater nation.
"He wants us to deliver one American scientist. So he can kill them?" One of the elders asked.
"Do it," another tribe leader said, without any hesitation.
Amphitrite stood up from her spot on the small throne, a few feet from Ramonda, "I find myself agreeing with this. You hand the scientist over, they do what they have to do to protect their nation, and all is well. No war. No death." Amphitrite stated, looking around and some people agreed with her, and some didn't.
"We've never had to face an enemy with access to vibranium before. And we have no Black Panther to protect us." The woman argued, standing in agreement with the sea goddess.
"That is because this wise council allowed Killmonger to take the throne. And burn up all of your precious heart shaped herb," M'Baku pointed out. Amphitrite pursed her lips with a slight nod, he did have a point. She sat back down, crossing her leg over the other as she looked to the Queen for her statement.
"M'Baku, what would you have us do?" Ramonda asked, wanting his opinion before she asked Amphitrite who she knew had more experience with these situations and she knew Talokan's way better than most.
"We should find the Fishman and kill him." M'Baku stated bluntly.
Amphitrite raised a brow, shaking at M'Baku in disagreement. "I disagree with that. Let's say you capture him, and you kill him. His people lose their king, they become vengeful, his daughter becomes Queen and she leads them to an attack on your country. That, is a war I doubt you will win. You start war, and if you walk out, and that's a big if, you will have more death than defeat. It's better to do as he says. Let me talk to him, and I will be sure to keep him away from your country." Amphitrite said.
Many agreed, many disagreed, but in the end it was all in the hands of the Queen.
"If we do what he is asking for now, what is to stop him from coming back, and asking for more?" M'Baku pointed out. He was obviously annoyed with everyone dismissing his say because the Queen of Atlantica was in disagreement.
"I can make sure he doesn't," Amphitrite added. M'Baku turned to look at her, "And he will listen to you, because?"
"Because he's the father of my daughter." Amphitrite shot back swiftly. A few people let out small gasps of shock and M'Baku was appalled. "You're married to this Fishman?" M'Baku questioned.
Amphitrite grimaced at the mere thought of being married to Namor. "No, we never got married nor are we still together. She lives with him which explains why she was there with him last night." Amphitrite explained, looking away from M'Baku and at Queen Ramonda.
The Queen sighed before dismissing everyone except Amphitrite, already partially deciding what to do. Amphitrite stayed having wanted to see what they were planning to do and if she could be any help to them.

Queen Ramonda, Queen Amphitrite and General Okoye walked into the lab, everyone turned to their queen and making an 'X' on their chests with a bow of their head. "As you were," Ramonda said and they got back to work.
Amphitrite looked around, impressed with the work Shuri has accomplished. She only wished Aquarella did something productive with her life instead of wasting it on the surface world being irresponsible. Lola and Logan both stayed behind her, protecting their Queen at all costs.
"Is it just me, or does this thing keep getting uglier?" Okoye spoke up, gesturing to the design on the screen. Amphitrite pursed her lips, silently agreeing with Okoye. It definitely wasn't her style.
"It's you," Shuri stated. Amphitrite glanced up at her, having the younger girl appearing to be atop of a yellow machine. It must've been the machine Ramonda told her about. She wasn't surprised they caught whoever was using it.
"So, does it work?" Ramonda asked her daughter.
"Yes. This thing can detect the altered frequency of vibranium through water, stones, even heavy metals. Whoever built this is brilliant." Shuri explained.
"And very stupid," Amphitrite mumbled under her breath. Shuri looked at her, finally noticing her presence and smiling. Amphitrite was the only one she actually liked from Atlantica. Amphitrite was always like an aunt to her, she taught her a lot, especially how to make her devices water proof. "Hey, Aunt Tea, I thought you left by now." Shuri said, causing Amphitrite to smile up at her. She still hated the name 'Tea" but let Shuri call her it anyways.
"I decided to stick around, see if I could help with anything." Amphitrite said. Shuri nodded in acknowledgement, "Yeah. Did you hear about your evil daughter with Namor?" Shuri said rolling her eyes when she spoke of Aquarella.
"It's been years, you still hate each other?" Amphitrite tilted her head. Shuri scoffed, "She's a hard headed bitch with a creepy laugh and ugly face. Yes, I still hate her. She's so punchable." Shuri said, getting a small chuckle from Amphitrite. Shuri was one of the few people who could make Amphitrite laugh at all so it always annoyed Aquarella.
"I'm sure she feels the same about you." Amphitrite said and Shuri rolled her eyes in response. "I actually have a very nice non punchable face so I find that very hard to believe," Shuri denied. Amphitrite shook her head in amusement.
"Come, look," Shuri said, getting back on track as she gestured them to look at all the parts she managed to remove from the machine. "Some are custom parts and others look like they gathered it from a junkyard." Shuri explained.
"I am still struggling to believe that vibranium exists outside of Wakanda." Okoye said. Amphitrite glanced down, knowing the truth. Okoye and everyone else assumed that Atlantica held vibranium because of the exchange they made with Wakanda. None of them knew that Atlantica always possessed vibranium from the ocean.
"Perhaps there was more than one meteorite. Our planet is covered of mostly water, so it's reasonable that the other one just landed there." Shuri explained, glancing at Amphitrite who made a glance over at her guards. She knew Amphitrite held lots of secrets, and she understood why the Queen kept them a secret. But it was no secret to Shuri that Atlantica had always possessed vibranium, even before the exchange.
"This changes everything that we know." Ramonda pointed out.
"The Great Mound. All of the legends and fables. Those stories are seared in my mind." Okoye said, exasperated.
"That sounds very painful," Shuri mumbled sarcastically.
Amphitrite glanced around, "Tea, can you come up here please?" Shuri requested. Amphitrite nodded and removed her heels and crown, handing them to Lola before climbing up to the top. "Can you unscrew that? It's stuck." Shuri asked, going to hand the wrench to Amphitrite but she reached down and unscrewed the bolt with her hand. "That works too." Shuri mumbled.
Catching the end of Queen Ramonda's conversation with Okoye, Shuri spoke up. "So, when are we leaving so I can see my favorite colonizer?" Shuri asked.
Amphitrite raised her brows having no clue what she was talking about but part of her didn't wanna know. "If you see my daughter, you call me, okay?" Amphitrite spoke to Shuri.
Shuri sighed and nodded, "Can I at least get a punch in?" She slightly pleaded. "If she punches you first, then yeah." Amphitrite shrugged.
"Yay," Shuri cheered.
