ย ย  [SEASON TWO: EPISODE TEN]
[PART ONE]

Upon reaching at the high school, Ethan parked his bike in a rack and securely locked it. He sighed as he gazed at the building, reluctant to face anyone after the events of last night at Moon's house party.

Williams stopped by the front entrance, and leaned up against a pole, while waiting for the doors to open. Later, he choose to investigate where Tory had gone when the cops arrived at the beach house.

Scrolling through his phone, he exclaimed the messages sent to her, yet she never answered. Aisha walked up to him and stood by his side.

"Still nothing for Tory?" She asked.

"I've got nothing, what about you?"

"She won't text me back. I'm getting kind of worried."

"I tried to found her last night after the party. But I don't know if she ran away or got in trouble with the cops?" He suggested.

"I don't know. But missing the first day of school is not a good sign."

"That's true." Ethan affirmed, and they turned around to stepped inside.

Johnny drove his Challenger towards the front entrance, simultaneously checking through Robby's backpack to ensure he had everything he needed for school.

"Got you some pencils and paper. Wasn't sure what you needed." He said, rummaging though the supplies he found lying around his house before handing them to his son.

"Thanks."

"Couldn't find a trapper keeper. Are those still cool?" Johnny asked, and Robby had no idea what he was talking about.

"I don't even know what that is."

"You okay? Nervous about your first day?"

"No. I just feel bad about Sam and the LaRusso's. I know you don't wanna hear it, but Mr. LaRusso was good to me. Miyagi-Do karate helped me out a lot. Look, all I'm saying is maybe you guys could learn a thing or two from each other."

"All right, you better go." He said, looking over at his son.

"Thanks for driving me, dad."

Robby hopped out of the car and started walking towards the front entrance of school. Meanwhile, Ethan was walking thought the hallway, attempting to call Johnny.

"Hi there. You've reached the smartphone of Johnny Lawrence Sensei of Cobra Kai karate. Please leave a message and I'll get back to you when I get a chance."

He turned off his phone and headed to his first period, which would be earth science. Sam stepped up to her locker and begins to open it, with Robby standing behind her, leaning against the row of lockers.

"Excuse me? I'm new to this school. Can you help me find Miss Santino class?" He asked, smiling at her.

"Hey." She replied, slightly dropping her head down.

"Oh. It's that bad, huh?"

"I feel like an idiot. We should've gone to my parents house, be honest with them."

"No, it's my fault too." Robby confirmed, making her look confused.

"I have to tell you something. Ethan gave me the Medal of Honor. And I put it in the backyard so someone would find it. Also I noticed he fights like he was in Miyagi-Do, is really that true?"

"Yes. But what does that have to do with the medal?" Sam asked incredulously.

"I didn't want him to earn any points with you. We just kissed and I guess I feel insecure about it." He stated truthfully.

"Thank you for telling me the truth." She said, deciding not to disclose that Ethan had kissed her.

"Well, it feels better to get that off my chest."

"Robbyโ€”" She started, but the school bell interrupted.

"Can't be late on my first day." Robby said, and they leaned in to kiss.

He walked away from her, and she kept glancing at him, as if she wanted to tell him something.

Ethan stepped into the earth science class, sitting down at a table next to Hawk.

"Dude you kissed Sam?"

"That's what happened."

"Nice!" He cheered, tapping his forearm in victory.

"No, not nice. I shouldn't have done that to her."

"Why limit yourself to only chick? I'm planning on having a full rotation by the time we get to midterms." Hawk smirked at him, as Ethan gave him a disgusted look.

"What?"

"Hey, man." A boy said, and they both looked over to see a black kid with books in his hands and glasses on his face.

"Just wanted to say I wet the bed till I was 13. There's nothing to be ashamed of."

"Get the hell out of my face!" He shouted angrily, smacking the books out of the boy's hand. The books fell, causing everyone to laugh at him.

"What's up with that guy?"

"I don't know." Hawk stated, shrugging his shoulders.

"And finally we embark upon another academic year, it's important to remember to be tolerated and accepting all of our peers, regardless of.... You're not allowed to be in here." The girl didn't get to finish as Tory opened the door. She harshly took the intercom away from her and held it up towards her face.

"Samantha LaRusso. You know what you did, and now you're gonna pay for it." She stated, as her voice cracked thought the speakers.

Ethan's eyes widened frighteningly when he heard his best friend's name being called from the intercom. Not because he was scared of Tory, and definitely not because he thought Sam couldn't handle her by herself. Williams was really more scared of what would happen to them both.

"I'm coming for you, Bitch!"

Every student glanced at one another, gasping in surprise. The students in Sam's class stored at her, and gossip quickly spread. When the school bell rang, she knew exactly how this was gonna turn out for herself.

She grabbed her backpack, slinging it over her shoulder, and walked out of the classroom in a hurry. Sam arrived in the middle of the hallway, and soon enough, she had came face to face with Tory.

"Tory!" Ethan shouted, bolting out of the earth science room, running among the hallways to find them. He didn't even care that he bumped into some students.

Because at this moment, all he wanted to do was to get Tory away from her. He doesn't know what to do if something bad happens to her, or anyone else for that matter.

Robby was also running down the hall, doing the exact same thing, finding his girlfriend and determined to protect her no matter what.

Both doing the same thing but with completely different minds, Tory and Sam walked around each other, circling the entire hallway.

"I saw what you did at the party. You kissed Ethan." She spat out, and everyone gasped at this shocking information.

"I...." The brunette mumbled something. Just then, Tory launched herself forward and tried to attack her, but she easily dodged it.

The blonde swung her fist, and Sam swiftly turned around. She immediately grabbed her bag and spun her around, sending a kick at her, making her go flying backwards.

However, Hawk and a few other Cobras caught her. They pushed her back into the fight.

"Get back in there!"

She turned her attention back to the angry girl but didn't have enough time to recover and failed to counter Tory's attack, shoving her up against the lockers.

Suddenly, Robby interfered and pushed Nichols against the lockers, his hand pressing against her chest. The boy was so enraged that he didn't know what he was doing.

Then Ethan arrived and swore that he saw red when he saw his opponent had his hand on Tory's chest, pinning her against the lockers. He grew even more angrier when he noticed that Sam was terrified to move, unable to hold back anymore.

"Hey!" He growled, but Keene didn't notice him as he tried to get thought to the girls. Williams took him by surprise, tackling him down on the ground, and that's when the real fight had started.

"Hey, man. We gotta do something." Chris said, as Demetri nodded in response.

"Good idea. I'm gonna go get a teacher." He stated, patting his shoulder.

Ethan tried to strike Robby as they continued to roll around on the floor. Hawk stepped towards the brawl, with Mikey and Rick standing behind him.

"Oh, it is on!" He shouted, pushing Nate and Bert aside.

Zack ran up to him, but the boy uppercut him and flipped him down on the floor. Another boy tried to fight Hawk; he kicked forward, grabbing him by his shirt, and slammed him hard on the ground.

"Yeah!"

Tory went to grab her, but Sam pulled her down to the floor instead. She quickly stood up on her feet and got into a fighting position. The girl started screaming, running towards Sam and pushing her into the school lobby. Meanwhile, Ethan and Robby pulled each other through the double doors.

She immediately steps back, and Tory sent multiple kicks at her, but she blocked with ease.

Sam went underneath her, attempting to strike, but the blonde grabbed her arm, and threw her down on the ground. The brunette quickly rolled over and looked back at her.

"Can't you just stop it already?"

"What's matter? You can't keep up? You need Ethan to come and save you?" She asked. Tory followed behind her and went to kick her.

Sam immediately moved up the stairs, and they both met up at the top. The girl pulled her forward upstairs.

"You can't cheat your way out of this." Robby pushed Ethan up against a pillar, holding him. However, he quickly took over, flipping the boy around and harshly slamming his forehead against his.

"Yeah, like that move? I bet you learned it from your father." He taunted, then pushed him back on the ground. His attention was darted towards the stairs, seeing Tory continuously sending kicks towards her opponent.

Williams clenched his fist tightly, knowing that Sam does intend to fight this one out. But she had to, or she'd ended up getting hurt. He definitely didn't want that to happen and ran up to them.

Then, Keene came flying and blocked his path.
He hastily sent a forceful kick towards his chest, making him stumble back into Rick and Mikey.

"Go, Go!" He shouted at him, as he captured Robby in his arms. The boy took the chance to catch up to the two girls. Sam went to strike, but Tory grabbed her arm, flipping her straight down on the floor.

When Ethan finally arrived, he quickly grabbed her arm to stop her. She harshly pushed him back.

"Tory, enough of this!" He demanded, but wasn't expecting a kick from her. Luckily, he caught her leg just in time and was about to strike. Suddenly, she pushed him back, so hard. He doubled in pain, clutching his stomach. She didn't even care if she hurt him as she averted her attention back to Sam.

But then, Tory had realized what she did and glanced back at Ethan, who looked bruised up, blood ruining down his nose as he stared at her in shock.

"Sam!" Robby shouted, running towards them. But someone had straightened their leg, tripping the long-haired boy.

Ethan brought his leg up to kick him, but Robby caught it and slammed his elbow onto it before elbowing the boy in the face, making him fall down.

"That's for taking advantage of Sam!"

"I would never do something like that! I'm just trying to protect her!" He shouted.

"Then why did all of this happen?"

Williams got up to his feet and ran at him, but Robby sidestepped, making him stumble. He pulled him back, suddenly he got the upper hand and grabbed his arm, pulling him downwards.

He got out of his grip, moving out of the way as his opponent went to swung at him.

He knocked him down to the ground and started kneeing in the side, then kicked him back. The boy went sliding into the railing before quickly hopping to his feet.

"She never loved you!"

Robby roared angrily and ran at him. They met in the middle and started straining each other. He kicked him in the chest and the boy landed up against the wall. Robby started punching him in his face, then took his leg, knocking it down.

Ethan flipped him over his back and gripped his arm tightly while he placed his other on the boy's back, enough to cause pain. At this moment, everyone knew he could easily defeat him.

But that wasn't it. This wasn't what he wanted. He stopped putting pressure on him, and still held him down. Daniel and Johnny's words replayed in his mind like it was his favorite movie quote on repeat.

"First rule of Miyagi-Do Karate: Karate is for defense only."

"I wasn't taught the difference between mercy and honor, and I paid the price for it. If I'm extra hard on you, it's only because you have the potential to be better than I ever was. You want that, don't you?"

He remembered all the words those two had said to him. His face softened, and he finally remembered who he was.

He was Ethan Williams. That awkward but calm boy who got bullied just because. He had been friends with Samantha LaRusso.

And she was kind, beautiful, funny, smart, and caring. She was peacefully. This might be real life, but losing wasn't all bad. We all learn from it. Just like that, he loosened his grip, letting him go.

"I'm sorry, Robby." Ethan whispered, letting a few tears drop from his eyes.

Robby screamed. He hit him with his shoulder blade, and the crowd roared as if that was a good thing.

He sent another kick towards his legs, making it look uncomfortable by how he fell. For one last time, he sent the most powerful kick, that he could muster, then something unexpected happened.

As if everything was in slow motion, Williams toppled over the railing and felt his heart drumming against his ribcage. A frightened yell escaped from him as he tried to hold onto something, anything, but there was nothing.

He hoped gravity would somehow change and make him float all of a sudden. But this wasn't a superhero movie. It was the real world, and he lost.

The crowd gasped at the impact and the loud crack when Ethan fell from the second floor, sprawling on the row of stairs, unmoving.

Sam choked back a sob, picked herself up from the floor, and started to limp towards him. She didn't even care about her own pain.

Seeing him fall was enough to bring all of her senses back, and she felt fire in her veins, but not that kind of fire. More like a painful one. Her chest hurt. And she couldn't even breathe properly.

"Ethan." She whimpered, approaching his unconscious body. Her blue eyes were widened in shock, stray tears steaming down her face, and hands shaking involuntarily as she stared at his closed eyes.

"Robby, what did you do?"

Instead, he decided to what he thought was best: running away from a problem. He'd was always good at that.
