[SEASON THREE: EPISODE NINE]
[PART ONE]

The next morning, at Miyagi-Do dojo, Sam showed Ethan, and he took in every detail, reminiscent of his previous visit from almost ten years ago.

"Do you think things would've been different back then, if I went to you guys first, instead of meeting Johnny?"

"Ethan, that's not on you. You wanted to meet Johnny Lawrence, because my dad didn't tell you about his rivalry with him." She stated.

"Yeah, I just wish.... I could've done more."

"Plus, Mr. Miyagi taught all three of us everything he knows. Focusing on defense."

"Yeah, but sometimes you gotta admit the best defense is more offense." Ethan shrugged, then turned around and noticed a hand drum sitting on a shelf.

"What's this?"

"An Okinawa hand drum." Sam replied.

"It doesn't make like fart sounds, does it?"

"No, I'll show you." The brunette said, grabbing his hand and pulling him into the middle of the room.

"Try to hit me."

"Okay, that's not something I'm doing to do."

"What? Scared you'll get beat by a girl?" She questioned.

"Okay." He gave in, sticking the drum in his pocket. Williams threw a punch, and she blocked it, making him smile.

"Actually, I already knew that move. I was just testing to see if you remembered. And I've got some secrets move of my own." He stated, a smirk appearing on his face.

"Oh, really? Do you?" Sam asked.

"Yeah. Stay your arms out."

She stuck her arms out, and he grabbed them, pulling her forward before wrapping an arm around the girl's waist and bringing her down to the ground with him on top of her.

"You see that? You let your guard down whenever you're around me." Ethan said as she grabbed him by the front of his jacket, pulling him in for a kiss. Suddenly, the front door to the dojo was opened, and a voice made them both break apart.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"

Daniel stood in the dojo, a cardboard box tucked underneath his right arm.

"Dad!" She greeted awkwardly, her cheeks becoming bright red.

"Oh, hey, Mr. LaRusso."

"Sorry. Uh.... Is that my drum in your pocket?"

Meanwhile, Robby had stay the night at the Cobra Kai dojo, in the storeroom. He rolled up his sleeping bag, hearing what sounded like a fight. Stepping out into the main part of the dojo, to notice it was only Kreese striking a punching dummy.

"He rises." The old man turned around to notice him standing there.

"Sorry, you had to sleep on the floor."

"Slept in rougher places." He replied.

"Likewise. If you want some coffee, it's not great. But it's hot."

"Thanks for letting me crash. It was just for the night."

"You stay as long as you like."

"Come here. You may learn something." Kresse motioned him to come forward to the punching bag, as the front door opened with loud voices coming from them.

"This is called the cobra strike. It consists of two moves. The lung and the bite." He struck the punching dummy, aggressively. The other students stepped inside, and were surprised to see Robby.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Hawk asked, angrily, marching forward.

"Hold on there. Mr. Keene is our guest." The old man stopped him from going further. Tory walked up towards them, sending a nod to her sensei.

Kresse and Hawk stepped into his office, to have a discussion on why the 'enemy' was even here in the first place.

"He's not one of us."

"With the All Valley back on, we need as much strength as we can get."

"We don't need him. He put Ethan in the hospital. He's the enemy." The boy declared firmly.

"You know, when I was overseas, it was hard to tell who was the enemy. A defenseless local one minute would pull a knife on your throat the next."

"But you wanna know what I learned?"

"What's that?" Hawk asked.

"The enemy of your enemy.... Is your friend."

Back at Miyagi-Do, Daniel asked Ethan to step outside for a moment, while he and his daughter had a little chat.

"Look, I'm sorry, Dad. I should've told you that I invited Ethan over."

"New rule; if you're gonna bring boys over to the dojo, leave the door open." LaRusso stated, addressing the recent incident.

"Come on, Dad. It's not 1984." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Look.... You're growing up. You're a young woman now. Okay, I get it. I just feel like this past year, there's been Kyler, Robby, and now Ethan. Seems to me like you're adding more drama to your life than you need. Just imagine if Robby knew Ethan was in the picture."

"Oh, no. Sam, really?" Daniel questioned in disbelief.

"He came bye last night when I was here with Ethan."

"And he saw you twoโ€”" Her father started making kissing gestures with his hands.

"No! God, Dad!" The brunette cried out.

"What? I saw it!" He exclaimed.

"I know it's been a lot. Can please try to remember I'm still your daughter and that you can trust me." Sam pleaded.

"It's not you I don't trust, Sam."

"You've trusted Ethan, before. He's changed. He's a good person. He's no longer apart of Cobra Kai and isn't a bully anymore."

"Maybe you're right." Daniel sighed.

Johnny and Ali were at a restaurant, reminiscing about the past and catching up on the events of the last 35 years.

"We were stuck on that Ferris wheelโ€”"

"For hours! I can't believe you remember." He finished her sentence, and they burst into laughter.

"Oh my God, it was so wildly. I seriously thought I was gonna die."

"Come on, I wouldn't have let anything bad happen to you." Johnny stated.

"Oh, sure, yeah. I couldn't tell, you were laughing so hard." She remarked.

"I just couldn't believe our first date was going so badly."

"Well, our second date went much better."

"Yeah, it did." The blonde man nodded in agreement.

"Man, those were good times."

"Well, it seems like things are really good for you now. I, uh.... I saw on Facebook the.... Pictures of you and your students. I cannot believe that you are a Sensei." Ali explained.

"Yeah, life after high school's been pretty good."

"I'm so happy for you."

"Actually, that's bullshit." Johnny blurted out, making her look confused.

"The truth is, I partied through most of my 20s. All of 'em, actually. And then my 30s."

"Well...." She started, before laughing.

"Next thing I knew, this I was dating got pregnant. I didn't know the first thing about being a dad. I was unprepared. And, uh, eventually, I screwed everything up."

"Pretty sure I've ruined every meaningful relationship I've ever had, actually. Starting with you." He stated.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, I have messed up a lot of things in my life."

"Come on, you have everything. Amazing career, beautiful family.... You did everything by the book."

"Yeah, exactly."

"Ali, the good doctor. Ali, the good mom. Ali, the good wife."

"Well, ex-wife." She said, as Johnny looked completely shocked.

"Greg and I are separated."

"I don't know what to say." He shrugged in response.

"I'm sorry."

"Um.... The good news is, it's nobody's fault. Greg is actually a great guy."

"He's an idiot." Johnny stated, making her laugh.

"I love, after all these years, you can still make me laugh."

"Look, Ali. I want to apologize."

"Johnny Lawrence, apologize?" She questioned, seemingly like he was joking.

"Yeah. Look, I screwed up back in the day. I took you for granted. And you didn't deserve that. I ruined our relationship, our friendship. And worst of all, your radio."

"Yeah. You did mess up my radio, didn't you? You ran over it with your motorcycle."

"No, I didn't run it over. Dutch ran it over. I just threw it." Johnny retorted.

"I have an idea."

"Wanna do something really fun?"

"What do you have in mind?" He asked, as she got up from the table and ran out of the restaurant with him trailing behind her.
