[SEASON SIX: EPISODE ELEVEN]

It's been a whole month since the chaos at the Sekai Taikai in Barcelona, where a massive brawl erupted between the senseis and students, culminating in the unexpected death of Kwon Jae-Sung. Now, Ethan and the others have returned to the valley, trying to settle back into their somewhat normal lives after everything that happened.

The following day, at West Valley High School, Robby, Johnny, Elizabeth and Shannon sat in Counselor Blatt's office to discuss the possible options for his future after high school.

"It'll be tight to graduate. We can talk about next year, but college may not be in the cards."

"And What if he adds an extra course class?" Ms. Jones asked curiosity.

"If he can catch up on the material, can he close the credit gap?"

"Maybe, but the workloadโ€”" Blatt nodded, acknowledging the suggestion but she was interrupted before she could finish.

"Uh, if I may." Steve interjected, gripping Shannon's hand and gestured over to the boy.

"Um, there's always a way to fast-track these things. Especially for talented kids like Robby."

"We'll do whatever it takes to support him."

"I appreciate that. But as I tell a lot of our football players, Robby's unlikely to go professional in his chosen sport, so we can support him by speaking our truth on that without shame. I once had a dream of building my life around field hockey."

"Field hockey?" Johnny questioned.

"Yeah."

"Robby was this close to being a world champion in karate. We were this close."

"Yeah, well, I was really good at field hockey." The Principal said. The blonde began to rise from his seat, frustration evident, but before he could do anything, Robby and Elizabeth quickly intervened, pushing him back down into the chair.

"Okay, look. Robby might consider writing this counter-movement against the traditional college experience. A lot of people in his situation look at trade school and other alternative paths. Try to keep an open mind about what life might be like without karate."

She handed him some flyers for other colleges like, MIT, School of Fabrication, and another school about maintenance. As he looked through the flyers, he opened one up and found a picture of his father climbing up a ladder.

A few hours later, at the LaRusso Auto Group, everyone was busy setting up for the company's eighteen anniversary celebration. Tables were being arranged, with a pair of balloons tied to each end. Louie and Anoush were struggling to straighten a billboard as Daniel supervised, ensuring they don't mess up.

"Guys, there's too much slack. Come on, put some muscle into it."

"You heard him. Pull harder, man."

"Hey." The man greeted, noticing Johnny walking inside the dealership.

"How'd things go with Robby?"

"He's being fed a shit sandwich on soggy bread."

"Oh."

"Listen, the kids are struggling with this tournament being ripped away so close to the end."

"I know, but we need to move on. There's no other choice. Plus, there's plenty to focus on here." Daniel said. He gestured behind him, where Ethan was helping Sam set up decorations on one of the cars.

"All hands on deck, huh?"

"Yep, yourself included. You're on balloon duty."

"Come on, man." The blonde man said in disbelief, shaking his head.

"You're gonna love it."

"Bullshit." Lawrence mumbled under his breath before walking over to the other workers to help with the balloons.

"Did you hear who your dad sold a car to this morning?"

"I did, like, ten times. It's all he wants to talk about." The brunette replied with a sigh, as if she already knew what her mother was referring to. Not even a second later, LaRusso walked over and stood next to Amanda, ready to share who he sold the car to.

"Ethan, you wanna know who I sold a car to this morning?"

"See?"

"Sure. I'd love to know, Mr. LaRusso." Williams answered. But before the man could respond, his wife spoke up for him.

"A big shot at UCLA admissions."

"Wow. Sammy, that's great news."

"Yeah." Sam nodded in agreement, though she hesitated, unsure if she really wanted to go there.

"I mean, it's still early though."

"Agreed. With the Sekai Taikai being done, my dream of getting into San Francisco university is technically gone. But I don'tโ€”"

"I know. That changed things for everyone." She interrupted, placing her hand in his and offering a reassuring smile. She knew how badly he wanted to get into San Francisco University.

"It could just mean finding a different college closer to home and closer to you."

"That's perfect."

Amanda could sense something off about her daughter but chose not to press the issue, knowing it might only push her further away.

"Be right back, Bruins fans. Okay."

As Daniel walked away, his phone buzzed. Glancing down at the screen, he saw that one of the Sekai Taikai board members was calling him. And without hesitation, he decided to answer.

"Hello?"

"Yeah. Sensei Lawrence is here too. Why? What's this about?"

After hearing from LaRusso about the Sekai Taikai tournament being back on, the two Miyagi-Do Senseis gathered in his office to discuss their next steps of action were.

"Hell yeah!" Johnny cheered excitedly as he paced back and forth in front of the desk.

"Did they say when they're gonna start it back up?ย  Couple of weeks? Month or two? They say if we've going back to Barcelona?"

"Slow down, Johnny."

"Why? Don't think everyone's gonna be back on board?"

"No. Because I'm not."

"What?"

"I meant what I said. We need to move on, okay? Do you really wanna go back to dealing with Kreese? Or see Robby get his head bashed in again?"

"You said we were moving on cause we don't have a choice. Now we do. Robby doesn't have to end this karate career this way. We could still win." He explained, trying to get his friend to reconsider, but his friend was too stubborn to realize it.

"Johnny, a kid died."

"Danielโ€”"

"There's nothing else to talk about."

"Please."

"I'm sorry. I made my decision. All right? Let's get back to work." Daniel said before getting up from his chair and walking out of his office.

As everyone returned to preparing everything for the celebration party, Johnny helped the others set up the balloons around the tables.

"I want these filled all the way to the top. Make them nice and tight. I want 'em everywhere."

"Johnny, there's a test drive out front. They asked for you by name."

"Someone with good taste." The blonde man commented before heading toward the exit. He stopped in his tracks, however, noticing how disheveled the girl's clothes were.

"Hey, LaRusso. Tighten that up a bit, huh?"

"Do I know you?" Vanessa turned around, glancing at him in confusion, wondering who he was.

"I never forget a LaRusso."

"Huh." She flipped him off as she was making her way over to Sam, who trying to straighten a table cover and walked over to assist her.

"Oh, hi, love. How was Barcelona?"

"Hi. Uh, it was good, yeah. There was a bit of a dark cloud over everything. Butโ€”" The brunette was trying to explain what happened in Spain, before she was interrupted.

"No, honey, not the karate stuff. I want the tea on the city, the food, the Spanish men."

"Oh."

"It was kind of amazing. The.... The culture. The beaches. It was just nice to get out of the Valley bubble."

"Yeah."

"What are we all giddy about? UCLA?" Amanda questioned, resting her chin on her hand as she tried to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Are you kidding me? She's not going to UCLA. This girl is dying to get away from home." Vanessa stated. Upon hearing that, Sam immediately shook her head in disbelief.

"No, no. No, I.... I didn't.... I.... I didn't say that."

"So we're just not having an honest conversation about this? Is that where you're all at? Or....?"

"Honestly, I've.... I've been looking a little further from home. I just didn't wanna say anything yet. I know it's gonna be complicated with Ethan and.... With Dad." The LaRusso girl admitted truthfully.

"I figured. And I get it. I had the same instincts when I was your age. Your father, though.... Maybe we don't throw that news in the mix with him just yet."

"Ah."

"What now?"

"Clearly you know Daniel is messed up. I mean, he's bridezilla-ing all over the dealership and not talking about Barcelona at all. But you're getting what you want, so hey, no sudden movements, right?"

"Look, I may personally be enjoying him putting his attention on the dealership, but that'sโ€”"

"You don't gotta justify it to me." Vanessa interrupted her before she could finish what she was trying to say.

"I play this game. I got Anoush right where I want him."

"No, no. There are no games. The karate wars being over is a good thing. And Daniel is fine. He's fine. He just needs some time to adjust."

Daniel walked over to Anoush and Louie who setting up a bonsai tree on one of the tables. He immediately made his way over to them with an angry expression on his face.

"What the hell is this? I said no more bonsais. What's so hard about that?"

"I thought you meant for customers, not, like, no bonsais anymore."

"I meant no more of these, period. Come on."

"Okay." He nodded in understanding and reached for the bonsai on the table, but LaRusso grabbed it at the same time.

"You know what? Let me.... I gotโ€”"

"No, I gotโ€”"

Suddenly, as they both went to grab it, they accidentally dropped the tree, causing it to snap into pieces on the ground. Amanda, Sam, and even Vanessa immediately turned their attention to them to see what happened.

"Anoush. Just.... Just clean it up. Save the tree." The man sighed in frustration before heading to his office.

"You're always right about this stuff, aren't you?"

"Yeah."

"It's nice." She replied.

Johnny walked out of the auto shop and approached the two other workers, eager to find out where the car he would be test-driving was at.

"Hey, where's my test drive?"

One of the guys pointed down the parking lot to a Nissan car that was parked outside the dealership.

"Right over there."

"Oh, yeah, high roller, baby."

He opened the passenger door, hopping inside and buckled his seatbelt as the engine roared to life.

"All right, let's do this."

"If you say so." Sliver replied, sliding his sunglasses onto his face. Tires screeched as he sped off down the street, taking a sharp right turn and began to drive recklessly.

"What the hell are you doing, man? Pull over!"

"I will after I've said my peace."

"Do it now, or I'll do it for you." The blonde man demanded, gripping the bar on the ceiling.

"As much as I'd love to fight what we started in Barcelona, it's not a good idea to attack a man when he's driving."

Terry continued driving down the street, swerving into the right lane after nearly hitting another car on purpose.

"We wouldn't want an accident. Not when we've got so much to live for."

The tires screeched as he took another sharp turn near a cluster of trees before speeding down the road.

"I don't know why you got in my way with Kreese, but I do know you and I want the same thing. The tournament back on. And I have a way to do it that will make everyone happy. Now, LaRusso won't wanna listen, but maybe we can help him."

"No."

"No?" The old man questioned in disbelief before taking a left, speeding past the other cars in town.

"Is that what LaRusso said to you? Do the kids even know this option is on the table? Does my grandson even know?"

"It's none of your damn business."

"You wanna tell them their hopes and dreams are over? What about you? You wanna spend the rest of your life doing test drives for LaRusso and rich pricks like me?"

He finally came to a complete stop at the dealership, pulling up at the front entrance before turning off the car and removing his sunglasses.

"You know, I'm not quite ready to buy yet." Sliver said, taking out a business card with his number on it and holding it out to the man beside him.

"But let's keep talking."

Lawrence reluctantly took it from his hand and stepped out of the car.

Meanwhile, at the LaRusso household Daniel sat in the living with a pair of scissors in hand, trying to repair the bonsai he had broke earlier.

Suddenly, there was knocking at the front door. He put the scissors down, walked over, and opened it, revealing Johnny standing there.

"Hey, I guess you heard about my little blow-up, huh?"

"Do you trust?"

"That's a loaded question, but, yeah I do."

"We're just gonna talk it out. No pressure, no strings." The blonde man stated before walking inside, with Terry trailing behind him.

"What are you...."

The three of them moved into the kitchen and sat down at the table, clearly wanting to discuss whether to continue with the Sekai Taikai or just leave it alone all together.

"This is a business meeting, plain and simple. And business only gets done by hard conversations."

"Spare us the act." Daniel retorted, cutting him off before he could finish whatever he was going to say.

"You're not here hat in hand. You're playing an angle. You're just hoping you can hide it long enough to trip us up."

"What is it you're afraid of? I want the tournament back on. Win or lose. I do expect it will be win. My team is that good, as you saw. I won't tip the scales. I'm here with full transparency at the mercy of your decision."

"Mercy? Huh?" He questioned, glancing at him with disbelief.

"My proposition is this. You pick the venue. You pick the refs. Everything. I will sign off, and I will cover the cost. No more games. Just closure." Sliver explained.

"You don't need this. What is the angle? Seriously. Revenge. Is that still it?" LaRusso asked, trying to determine if that was still his motive.

"What the hell are you holding onto, Sliver?"

"My motives are the same as everyone who wants to see this through. Everyone on my team, your team, for the senseis and the kids."

"Bullshit."

"Seconded." Johnny agreed, as Terry sighed in frustration before finally giving them an answer.

"You wanna know why I need this? Because it's the only thing I have left."

"Yeah. That and five mansions."

"No more mansions. And no children. No.... No wife. No real home. The only thing I can have now is one last win." The old man stated. Suddenly, the blonde man recalled something like words, someone had once told him.

"So savor every moment before it's gone."

"When I saw at the hospital.... You're sick."

"Sick is an understatement."

"Bullshit again." Daniel pointed out.

"You can verify it on your own if you care to."

"If you think you're gonna get any sympathy out of usโ€”" He began the guy sitting across from him cut him off.

"That's the last thing I want from anyone. But you needed to know my angle, and now you do. Just know, whatever decision you make, you make for everyone." Sliver explained. He gave them both a final glance before getting up from the table and making his way out the door.

"I'll see myself out."

Back at the LaRusso Auto Shop, as soon as the sun set, the celebration party for their eighteen anniversary began. It was being held in the main lobby, with tables scattered around, each adorned with balloons at the end and glass bottles of champagne. Everyone was invited, including friends and coworkers. Johnny, Elizabeth, Ethan, and Robby were all there to celebrate and show their support.

"Hey, Robby."

"It's about time." Daniel stepped into the center of the room and tapped his glass, signaling for everyone's attention. The chatter gradually faded as all eyes turned toward him.

"Everyone. I just wanna thank you all for being here with us tonight. We are so lucky to be surrounded by friends and family. And the family that we have chosen, the LaRusso Auto family."

"You know, a family means that we love and support each other no matter what, and that we could be proud of every step forward we've taken together. And even after 18 incredible years, there's still so much ahead of us. In the early days of this business, things were pretty uncertain."

"We knew we were taking a risk. We had no idea if we'd be well-received. But we built something of our own. We trusted each other. We trusted that it would all work out okay because we had each other." He said, his voice filled with gratitude.

"So thank you to everyone in our family, old and new. Here's to the next step forward."

With that, everyone raised their glasses, clinking them together in a shared moment of celebration before breaking into applause.

"Cheers."

"All right, LaRusso Auto!" Johnny cheered, talking a sip of his glass.

"Well, it's a hell of a shindig, Mr. Party Planner." Amanda commented, standing next to her husband with a cup in hand.

"What you got in store for next year?"

"Oh, forget that. I'm calling it early retirement on party planning."

"Mm. I was hoping you'd say that." She said, as the two clinked their glasses together.

"Dad. Is it true?" Sam asked, walking up to him with Ethan and Robby trailing right behind her.

"Is the tournament back on?"

"It's true if that's what you all want." Her father replied.

The brunette glanced at the two boys beside her who nodded in agreement, before turning her attention back to the man in front of her.

"Bring 'em on."
