[SEASON THREE: EPISODE FOUR]
[PART TWO]

In Japan, after the dance performance was done, Daniel and Kumilo were sitting down a table, discussing what they've done for the past 35 years after the events of 1985.

"After graduation, I joined the Hijikats Tatsumi Dance Company. And we traveled all around the world." She explained, pouring him a glass of tea.

"Sydney, Paris, Singapore."

"So you got your dream. That's terrific. Did you have a favorite place?"

"Hai. London."

"Ah, let me guess. The tea?" Daniel asked, in a joking tone as she laughed.

"No."

"I got to see the Cranberries open for Radiohead, 1995. They played Zombie, Linger, and Dream."

"So when did you start teaching?"

"After I moved back to Okinawa. Auntie Yukie got sick. And.... This was always my home."

"Yeah, I was sorry to hear she passed. I know she was very proud of you." He complimented her.

"Although I know deep down she wanted me to get married. I stayed, uh.... What was your word for it? A 'free agent'." Kumilo said, smiling at him.

"Come on, I'm supposed to believe a guy never got a ring on that finger?" Daniel pointed out.

"Many tried. But.... None of them fought to the death for me." She stated.

"It's a hard act to follow."

"I'm sorry, this is.... Absolutely surreal. I feel like I haven't seen you in five minutes, but it's been 30 years."

"Thirty years!"

"Maybe if we had Facebook and Instagram back then we would've never lost touch." She suggested.

"Why did you come back to Okinawa, Daniel-san?"

"I told you, my business setbackโ€”" He started.

"No." Kumilo interrupted him because she wanted the real answer to why he was back here.

"Why did you really come back?"

Daniel looked down for a few seconds before speaking.

"I got my dream, too, you know."

"I have an incredible family. I have my own business. I should be counting my blessings. But so many things have been going sideways for me lately. Everyone looks to me for answers. And I'm spinning around so much I can't tell which way's up." He explained to her.

"I used to have this nightmare that.... I had to go on stage and I did not know the choreography. I felt out of control." Kumilo stated.

"Exactly."

"I used to go to Mr. Miyagi for help.... you know. I am the same age now that Mr. Miyagi was when he met me. He had it all figured out. I wish I still had him." Daniel said, and chuckled.

"You know? I wish he could.... be here to help guide me."

"I think I can make that happen." She said, as he looked totally confused about what she meant by that.

Meanwhile, in San Francisco, at a chop shop, Johnny was sitting down near the bar, drinking a bottle of beer, and cracking some peanuts.

"Hey." He called out, signaling for the bartender for another drink.

"Is everything good, boss?"

"I'm not in a talking mood." He replied, and just a second later, he came back with a fresh drink.

"Barkeep.... A Cutty and water."

"Thought I'd find you here." Kreese said, as Johnny turned around to face him.

"By now, I figured you're over your little temper tantrum and we can talk like adults."

They both stood up, and suddenly, the front door opened, revealing a police officer who wanted something to eat.

"You got three minutes." He stated, as they sat down at a table.

"You're in a bad place. And I probably put you there. But you gotta believe it was for your own good. I never wanted to hurt you. I always wanted just to help."

"You did the impossible." The old man chuckled in shock.

"You brought Cobra Kai back to life. You brought me back to life. But then you started leading those kids down the wrong path, and I had to step in. I kept trying to warn you, but you didn't listen."

"So I had to act. But now it's time for you to come home. You may hate my guts. But I will always be your teacher. I know you more than you know yourself. And there's only one way to get you out of this funk."

"The way of the fist." The old man stated, holding up his fist.

"You were the best, Johnny. And you can teach that to these kids. You've done it before. And when our boy comes back, well, we'll help him get up on his feet."

"Go anywhere near Ethan or his family.... and I'll kill you." Johnny threatened, looking dead straight in his eyes.

"Looks like my time is up." Kresse said, talking one last sip before leaving the building.

"Think about what I said."

Back at West Valley High, the Cobras and Miyagi-Dos were standing by the lockers, waiting patiently for Blatt to come out of her office. Not even a second later, she came out with Hawk.

"Caldwell, Johnson, Rickenberger, the three of you and Eli are free to go." She stated, as they all cheered, while walking away.

"Unbelievable." Demetri said in disbelief.

"You're kidding me! What about us?" Sam asked.

"The rest of you will be receiving rehabilitation, not punitive, Saturday detention."

"Detention? Oh, great, there goes another blemish on my permanent record."

"This is bullshit!" She shouted, angrily.

"We didn't do anything wrong."

"Miss LaRusso! That is not how we express ourselves here. I think you need two weeks of rehabilitation detention."

"This school sucks!" The brunette yelled, slamming her fist on the locker, and walked away.

"I don't know her that well."

In Japan, Daniel and Kumilo were outside of Auntie Yukio's house. He sat down on a mat while she went off to find Mr. Miyagi's love letters, he wrote to his true love. A few minutes later, sheย  returned with a big box filled with papers.

"I never thought I would have a family again. Daniel-san has welcomed me into his family. And he had passed on what I taught him in Miyagi-Do to his daughter and her friend. Samantha and Ethan.... Makes me feel I'm both their tanmee."

"What's tanmee?" LaRusso asked, confusingly.

"Grandfather."

"In life, we'll always lose our way. But it is people, not the signs, that guides us back to the right path. Do like that, Yukie? I heard that in a car commercial. Love, Nariyoshi Miyagi."

"Thank you, Mr. Miyagi." Daniel sighed in relief, looking up at the sky.

At West Valley General, Johnny walked into Ethan's room and watched as he tried his best to reach for his phone that was a few feet away from him. He turned his head at the feeling of being watched to noticed him, standing there.

"What are you here for?" Williams asked, but Sensei ignored his question and stepped closer to the bed.

"Want the phone?"

"Yes." The boy replied, nodding his head. The man grabbed the roller table, pushing it to the other side.

"Go get it."

"Don't you get it? I can't walk. Even with the help of the surgery I mightโ€”"

"Quiet!" Johnny shouted, making him jump back in shock.

"Never, can't. Those are just words that are meaningless. It's time for you to get out of bed and do something. You're not a kid anymore. The world won't hand it to you. You want something, you'll have to crawl across the floor, use your damn teeth if you have to."

"You'll do whatever it takes. And I'll always be right here next to you. Cause I'll always be your teacher. Now go get it."

"Yes, Sensei." Ethan nodded his head. He started getting up out of the bed and leaned forward towards the table.

"You got this. That's it." Johnny stated, positively, as the boy had half of his body over the bed but immediately fall down on the floor.

"Oh, shit. It's all right. You fell like a champ."

"Nurse!" He called out.

"This is so not funny."

Robby stepped back in his room in the Detention Center, then noticed Shawn and his friends standing by his own bed.

"But, Robby, you're my son. But I hate you, Dad." The boy and his group mockingly laughed at him.

"Your girl left you, your dad hates you, you got nobody. And now you got nothing."

"Back to your bunks, Payne. All of you." The guard ordered, coming into the room.

"Keene, you got a visitor."

"Who it is?"

They walked out and made their way into the visiting room. The guard opened the door for him, leaving him there. Robby slowly turned around to notice a familiar face, but it took a second for him to realize who was: John Kresse.

"Hello, son."
