xxiv.

VIOLET HAD GONE THROUGH an excessive amount of pain in her life. Enough that sometimes she wonders how she still has the strength to even get up in the morning. Some of it was inflicted by others, some was self inflicted, some internal, some external, and some that came with being apart of the supernatural world. She counted that as an entirely separate category.

And, although it wasn't the worse pain she felt, waking up after Bonnie's magic had caused her to pass out hurt like a bitch.

What made the pounding of her head even worse, was the noise of incessant arguing. The main voice being–surprise, surprise–Caroline's, which Violet was quickly finding to be one of the most irritating sounds as of late. Violet was only able to tune in half way through her ex best friend's rant, but the first thing she did when she did tune in, was roll her eyes.

"-did you think that your charm would make us forget how you killed her, too? You know what? No. I am not going to engage in this. You are not even worth the calories I burn talking to you."

Both Klaus and Violet had gotten somewhat used to feeling slivers of whatever emotion the other was feeling, another side effect of being soulmates. But it never made it easier when one of them was upset, because the other would often end up reciprocating the feeling which would just make the situation worse. Like now, Violet could feel Klaus tensing, his anger levels rising and slowly but surely making her just as upset.

Because of this, Violet didn't even flinch when her boyfriend sped to the lamp to his right side, using the piece of furniture to impale Caroline and ignoring Tyler's protests as he swung her around and swiftly but into her neck. As the hybrids werewolf venom entered her veins, Caroline fell to the ground in a painful heap.

When a silence fell, Violet took it upon herself to sit up on the couch where she assumed Klaus had put her, and nonchalantly remarked, "Was that worth the calories?"

Klaus and Tyler both snapped their attention to her, Tyler scowling in anger and Klaus giving his soulmate a smirk as he walked over to gently help her to her feet. "Why, yes, my love, I'm happy to say it was."

Klaus and Violet had both moved to sit at the dining table, watching boredly as Tyler picked up how girlfriend and carried her to the couch Violet had previously rested on.

"Oh my god! Oh my god!" Caroline repeatedly sobbed as Tyler put her down.

"Hey, hey. Look at me. Look at me." Tyler interrupted, placing his hands on her shoulders in an attempt to calm her down. "I can fix this."

This seemed to have the opposite effect, only making Caroline panic further as Klaus stood from his seat. "How? The only thing that can heal me is his blood! Oh my god!"

Tyler kept up his comforting act, reassuring her, "I know. I'll fix it." Caroline hesitantly nodded before Tyler stood up and turned, his glare moving between the two soulmates.

"She'll die if he doesn't heal her." He said to Violet, obviously hoping that she would have more mercy than her boyfriend.

In reply, Violet nodded with a shrug, "Okay." She said, meeting eyes with her soulmate and giving him a single nod.

Klaus only smirked, silently raising his wrist to bite into it, holding his hands out to the anxious looking couple in front of him. "Beg me to save her life." He demanded.

Tyler angrily narrowed his eyes, shaking his head as he realized what the Original wanted from him. "Is this what you want? To remind me that I'm powerless against you?" He asked as he walked closer. "Fine. You win. I'm nothing. Now save her. Please."

Klaus looked over at Violet, communicating with his eyes as if saying, Did you here that? Violet shrugged in response. "I'm sorry, mate. I didn't quite catch that."

"Please." Tyler repeated, clenching his jaw.

The Original grinned, mockingly continuing, "Please...?"

"Please save her life." Tyler spoke firmly, his tone frustrated and angry, though Violet could see the fear in his eyes. Fear for Caroline. Fear of losing the one he loves.

Doesn't feel good, does it? Violet wanted to remark. But she bit her tongue.

"See, now I think you're just telling me what I want to hear. I mean, you did call me pathetic earlier." Klaus replied, Tyler inhaling deeply with anger. "And wouldn't it be more pathetic of me to help now, knowing that hours ago, you announced your plan to kill me in a manner in which you're still debating because you want it to have a certain amount of flair? I'm just asking."

Clenching his jaw, Tyler hesitated before speaking again, admittedly surprising Violet with his offer. "I'll be your slave again. I'll do whatever you want." He promised. "Just help her."

Klaus couldn't help the smirk that displayed itself across his lips. "You see, here's the thing; I couldn't care less about any of your lives. While, yes, you've all done me wrong in some way, I'm not the one whose been hurt by your actions."

At his words, both Caroline and Tyler looked at Violet who, still in her seat, was glaring down at the ground. She was upset, angry no doubt, but they knew Violet. She was compassionate and loving and they had hurt her to the point where she was going to let her best friend of 12 years die. They weren't dumb, they knew it had been their fault, but they continued to make stupid decisions, blinded by their hatred for the Original in front of them.

"I'm not the one you need to be begging." The hybrid told them, his smirk dropping.

"Please, Violet." Tyler pleaded, his tone less aggressive, letting Violet see his genuine desperation to save his girlfriends life.

Violet opened her mouth, but couldn't find the words she wanted to say. She wanted to say yes, she really did. Because this was her best friends life. The girl who had stuck by Violet's side even though her other friends disapproved of Caroline being friends with the weird, shy girl. The girl who had always been there for Violet in her times of need, even though she had never known what was causing her this much distress.

And yet, when thinking of all the reasons why she should tell her soulmate to save Caroline, her mind was flooded with the opposite. Memories of the last few months, how all of her friends had turned on her when all she had ever done to piss them off was fall in love with the man who was destined for her. And that was how she got her answer.

Glancing at Caroline's disheveled figure, Violet shared a look with her boyfriend, comforted slightly by the reassuring look in his ocean eyes, then looked up at Tyler.

"No."

It was evident her answer surprised everyone, even Klaus who was expecting her to cave in and save her best friend. But she had made her decision, and he was going stick by whatever she said.

"Get me out of here." Caroline croaked after a few seconds of silence, setting her glare on Violet. "I can't even look at her."

Tyler didn't hesitate to do so, helping up his girlfriend from the couch and leading her out the door, but not before he too sent a glare towards the pair of soulmates.

It wasn't until they were gone that Violet slapped a hand over her mouth, finally letting her emotions through as tears escaped her eyes and sobs racked her body. Klaus immediately sped to her side, catching her as her body collapsed off the chair.

"It's okay, sweetheart, it's okay." He whispered as he stroked her hair softly, whispering more comforting words into her ear. "You'll be okay, my little flower."

It took about an hour before Violet had tired herself out, falling asleep in her soulmates lap with tear stains streaked across her face.

It made Klaus blood boil, seeing how much pain the people she once called her family put her through. Even making decisions like the one she did hurt her because it made her guilty. She was too empathetic for her own good, but it was part of who she was. And after falling in love with every aspect of who she was, Klaus wasn't about to make her change, even if it would prevent her anymore suffering. She was strong, so he would allow her to fight through it herself, but he would be by her side while she did.

By the time she woke up after some much needed rest, Tyler had brought Caroline back with some offer about letting Klaus have control and then leaving his girlfriends fate in the hands of the girl who they betrayed and the man who couldn't care less about her life. It didn't make much sense, but Tyler was never the smartest.

She felt a sense of déjà vu as she once again woke up to the sound of talking. Klaus had placed her on the couch once she had fallen asleep, so when she awoke, she was facing the inside of the couch with her back facing the rest of the living room. Violet would've announced her awakening had she not gotten distracted with listening to her boyfriend and Caroline talk.

"If you don't feed me your blood, I'll die." The young vampire spike between her heavy breathing.

Across the room, Klaus leaked again the doorway of the living room, physically not being able to go any farther due to Bonnie's spell. "Then you'll die, and Tyler will have learned his lesson the hard way."

"How could you do this to him?" Caroline rasped. "To his mom? To me?"

Klaus kept his hard gaze in front of him, replying, "I'm a thousand years old. Call it boredom."

Caroline shook her head slightly, though the action was barely noticeable as she didn't have much energy left. Her time was running out, and they all knew it. "I don't believe you."

"Fine," Said the hybrid, "Then maybe it's because I'm pure evil, and I can't help myself."

"No," Caroline protested. "It's because Violet got hurt, and you got angry because you care." Klaus looked over at this, his expression still hard but his eyes giving away his true emotions. "Which means that there is a part of you that is human."

Klaus cocked his head slightly in confusion, approaching the vampire and sitting on the table in the center of the living room. "How could you possibly think that?"

"Because I've seen it." Caroline replied, glancing at Violet, fully aware that her breathing pattern had changed which meant she was awake and listening to their whole conversation. "Because...I've caught myself wishing that I could forget all the horrible things that you've done."

"But you can't." Klaus solemnly whispered. "Can you?"

Caroline took in a painful breath, "I know that you're in love with Violet, and not just because she's your soulmate. And anybody capable of love is capable of being saved."

Both Klaus and Violet's eyes glistened with tears, Caroline's words hitting them deeply.

"You're hallucinating." Klaus mumbled, too distracted by keeping his emotions at bay to notice Violet quietly rolling over and sitting up in her spot.

Caroline looked over, meeting Violet's eyes, the familiar blue orbs displaying the vampires guilt and forgiveness, while at the same time communicating how sorry she was. "At least I'll go knowing that my best friend is getting the love she's always deserved."

Tears silently streamed down Violet's face, more coming down as Caroline's breathing became weaker and more erratic.

"Caroline?" Klaus called, not receiving any answer from the girl as her body continued to succumb to the venom in her veins.

"Nik." Violet sniffled, finally gathering his attention. His head snapped to her, watching her nod as her lip trembled.

The Original moved from his spot over to Caroline, lifting her upper body enough for him to sit behind her, hastily lifting his hand to his wrist and placing the open wound to Caroline's mouth.

When her skin began to regain color and her hands came up to hold onto Klaus' wrist, Violet let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.

Violet wished she didn't care, but she did. And she hated how relieved she felt now that she knew Caroline would be okay.

"Tell me you're not serious." Caroline spoke into her phone, glancing over at Klaus and Violet who were currently observing her from the living room whilst simultaneously being cuddled up together and looking admittedly pretty cute.

Violet couldn't hear what Elena was saying from the other line, only distant talking but Caroline's phone wasn't loud enough for her to be able to make out anything. Klaus however, with his enhanced hearing, could hear the whole conversation, and had a smirk on his face the whole time.

"Well, where's Damon in all this?" Caroline asked, pausing for a reply. "Meaning what?" Caroline worriedly placed a hand on her forehead. "Do you think Shane took him?"

"I'm so sorry. I wish I was there to help." She apologized, peeking up a second later. "Anything. Tell me."

Elena said something on the other line, Violet couldn't hear, but whatever it was it made Caroline shoulders drop and an annoyed expression take over her face. "Unless you get the Hunter's Sword from Klaus."

Violet and Klaus shared a smirk before looking back at Caroline and listening to the rest of the conversation.

"I'll find it, don't worry. Just e-mail me photos of Jeremy's tattoo. I'll find the sword, and I'll call you back." Caroline reassured, saying a quick goodbye before hanging up and grabbing her jacket from the counter.

"Need our help with anything, love?" Klaus spoke up, still smirking at the blonde vampire.

"Nope." Caroline didn't hesitate in answering, making Violet roll her eyes.

"Actually, you do." Violet corrected, Caroline stopping in her tracks. "Your looking for the hunter's sword right?" She questioned, receiving a confused nod. "I know where it is."

Caroline cocked an eyebrow, narrowing her eyes doubtfully. "You do?"

Violet made a Really? face. "You don't trust me?"

"I do trust you!" Caroline insisted. "But I know that just because we're good doesn't mean that you an Elena are, and Elena's the only reason why everyone is on that stupid island. How do I know that you're actually gonna lead me to the sword?"

As much as Violet hated to admit it, Caroline had a point. But Violet had her own reasons for helping to search for the cure, those reasons being in the form of a tall, blonde, Original vampire whose life long dream was to just have a family and grow old.

"Look," Violet sighed, "I couldn't care less whether Elena got the cure or not, but I do care about Rebekah. And all Rebekah's ever wanted is to be human so she can have a family and grow old with the love of her life. If I can help her achieve that, I'll do whatever I can."

At her words, Caroline's face softens. She couldn't blame Violet for favoring Rebekah's wants over Elena's, although they been through so much more together. But they had all made mistakes and Elena was far from innocent. Despite her understanding, Caroline still looked conflicted.

Violet sighed, noticing her expression, "C'mon, Caroline. I know where the sword is and the faster we get the sword the faster our friends can come back with the cure."

The vampires shoulders slumped in defeat, "Fine," She mumbled, "Let's get going though, like you said, the faster we get it, the faster everyone comes home."

Violet nodded, pivoting in her place to face her soulmate, "Sword's where you left it right?" She asked, subconsciously taking his hands into hers.

The hybrid nodded, smiling fondly at the girl in front of him. "Hasn't been touched since." He confirmed. Klaus leaned forward slightly, placing a chaste kiss on Violet's temple, admittedly not very excited for Violet to leave, even if it was just for a while.

Bonnie's spell only worked to keep Klaus inside of Elena's living room, but since Violet was human, she was free to leave whenever, though she had no reason to until now.

"I'll try not to be too long." She softly reassured him, knowing him well enough to know what he had been thinking.

The couple shared a small kiss before Violet joined Caroline by the door, Klaus sighing as they left.

Running into Tyler while on their quest to get the Hunter's Sword was not something Violet planned, nor was she very pleased about it. And by "running into him" she means Caroline had texted him without warning her and he showed up while they stopped at Caroline's house so the vampire could change out of her bloody clothes.

"Really, Caroline?" Violet deadpanned, glaring at the hybrid who also didn't look very happy, though if she squinted, Violet could see he looked a bit guilty.

Caroline sighed in reply, "Look, he's only here to help with anything else we need to do once we find the sword. I promise that's all he's here for."

Violet's jaw clenched, the mere presence of the hybrid bringing down her mood. "Fine." She huffed. "But let's hurry this up. The faster we do this, the faster all of this cure bullshit is over." She muttered, turning on her heel and making her way out of Caroline's house.

It didn't take the three of them long to reach the mansion, only a five minute long car ride filled with awkward silence. Violet was the first to get out of the car, the couple following behind as she led them into her and Klaus' home.

Caroline and Tyler both looked around warily, sharing a hesitant glance as Violet lead them upstairs. "Uh, Violet?" Caroline spoke up, confused. "You sure you know where the sword is?"

The human rolled her eyes, choosing to ignore her question as they finally reached their destination. In the middle of the hallway that lead to her and Klaus' room was a door located on the ceiling, a string hanging down to open it.

Tyler cocked an eyebrow. "The attic? Of all the places in this house, Klaus chose to hide it in the attic?" He asked.

Violet shrugged, "If everyone's gonna assume that he'll hide it in some complicated hidden place, why not hide it in the most obvious one?" She remarked, pulling down the stringing and watching as the wooden stairs were released from the ceiling.

Without another word, Violet quickly walked up the stairs, Caroline and Tyler following. "Now," She began as they all made it up, staring at the dozens of boxes that were piled in the space. "I haven't seen much of this sword myself. All I know is that it's up here, in one of these boxes, I just don't know which one." She informed them, earning exasperated sighs.

"Better get looking then." Violet said, shooting them a fake smile.

For at least twenty minutes the three of them searched for the sword, going through boxes but each time ending up with nothing. That was until Violet picked up a box that was stacked on another, her eyes shooting up in surprise when her eyes landed on the hilt and part of the blade of the sword. Reaching forward, her eyebrows furrowed when she felt a clasp on the leather around the grip.

Violet pulled at the clasp, tilting her head in confusion when the removal of the leather strap revealing was seemed to be some sort of cryptex. When she looked closer, she realized the symbols in the grip were in Aramaic, a language that had been dead since around 600 CE.

Violet could read it though since, before all of this supernatural stuff happened, she often became bored and studied dead languages in her free time, Aramaic being one of them along with Latin, Old Norse and Sanskrit.

Glancing back, she saw that Caroline and Tyler were still invested in searching through the other boxes. The realization that it, if even possible, it would take forever to translate the symbols. Violet knew more than the average person, but she was by no means fluent. The internet didn't have everything, and just by flipping through the coding, Violet could already spot a handful of symbols she didn't know. It could take days to successfully translate the sword, and that was time they didn't have.

How in the world will they be able to–light bulb.

Of course! How did she not think of it before?

"Hey, guys," Violet called out, looking back at Caroline and Tyler with an innocent expression. "I found the sword."

It wasn't easy to miss the look of surprise on Klaus' face when Violet and Caroline walked in, followed by Tyler. But it was even harder to miss the look of worry he shot his soulmate when he registered what was going on.

"Well, if it isn't little orphan Lockwood." He spoke as they walked in, though his eyes kept flickering over to Violet. "Come to show how laughably impotent you are against me?"

Tyler rolled his eyes. "I'm just trying to help my friends find the cure."

Klaus subconsciously reached for Violet as she approached him, gently pulling her into him and pressing his mouth to her ear. "He hasn't tried to harm you has he?" The hybrid asked, relaxing when she responded with a shake of her head.

As Caroline took a seat on the couch, Tyler pulled the sword from the cloth they had wrapped around it. "Found this in your attic."

Violet made a noise of protest, "Uh, excuse me? I found the sword, thank you very much." She remarked, narrowing her eyes at Tyler.

Klaus cocked his head to the side, "And you think finding the sword brings you closer to the cure?"

"You tell me." The younger hybrid shot back. "I was playing around with the handle on the ride over, and I found this." He spoke, unclasping the leather cover from the hilt. Violet had to resist the urge to roll her eyes at Caroline's smug expression. It was funny really, how they thought they had an advantage.

The Mikaelson rose from his seat, looking at the hilt with a small smirk. "And what do you think 'this' is?"

"It's called a cryptex." Caroline chimed, joining them at the edge of the living room. Tyler gave his girlfriend an incredulous look. "I've seen The da Vinci Code." Caroline defended herself. "You turn the different sides to the different symbols to get the translation on the other side. And with the magic of the internet, Elena sent over these." She walked back over to the table and held up the pictures she had printed of Jeremy's tattoo. "So now all we have to do is cryptex away." She day back down in her previous spot. "If you happened to want to help, we wouldn't stop you."

"Right. Well, might I suggest using the magic of the internet to purchase an Aramaic-to-English dictionary from your nearest retailer." Said the hybrid, shooting them a smile.

Tyler eyebrows furrowed as he looked back at Caroline. "What's Aramaic?"

"It's a dead language." Violet answered, earning a slow nod from Caroline.

"Yeah and it hasn't been used since, like, biblical times." The vampire added, looking back and forth between the soulmates.

"Qetsiyah's native tongue, I'm guessing." Klaus replied. Caroline clenched her jaw in frustration though Klaus continued to speak. "You know, even if you had the best dictionary in the world, it could take days to translate." He informed them, taking back his original seat. "Perhaps weeks. In bas so-teen-too ara-ma-eet." He spoke, sharing a knowing look with Violet.

Caroline looked at him worriedly. "What does that mean?"

Violet smirked at the couple in front of her. "If only you spoke Aramaic."

What seemed like forever was actually really only about an hour with the help of Klaus and Violet, and now all of the symbols on Jeremy's tattoo had been successful translated.

The table they were using was littered with pictures upon pictures of Aramic symbols, some the photos of Jeremy and some the printed out symbols. Either way, Violet was sure that if she ever had to even look at the language ever again it would be too soon.

"Okay, this is it." Caroline sighed. "We've translated all the symbols on the tattoo. Passage inside," She reads, picking up different papers. "requires a young senator...and a pretty flower. Okay, none of this makes sense!" She exclaims, throwing the papers on the table angrily.

Klaus speaks a line in Aramaic, looking towards Violet with a smile. "Requires a powerful witch and a hunter in full bloom." She translates, looking to her boyfriend for confirmation and smiling when she received a nod.

Tyler narrows his eyes at the couple, his focus though, mainly on Klaus. "What are you doing?"

"I don't need to tell you my reasons." Klaus replied. "Caroline, bring my sword over here."

Caroline complies surprisingly without arguing, bringing the sword up to where both Violet and Klaus can read the symbols.

"Silas rests on the far side, the means of his destruction at hand." He glances to the computer that displayed the tattoo on Jeremy's right arm. "Turn the cryptex to the right. Stop."

"The top of the hilt reveals a key to a nautical map." Violet translates this time, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration as she reads. "Turn it to the left. Now turn the other piece." Analyzing the symbols, Violet cocks her head in confusion, looking up at Klaus who wore the same expression. "There's something else."

As the Original read out the cryptex, Violet understood the why this cure was so important. And why it had never been dug up before. Along with this, came the realization that this discovery changed everything, mainly for the people who were currently on the island. But it also meant that maybe Rebekah could finally get what she's always wanted. That and maybe Elena could for once not. And both made Violet extremely happy. And from the smirk on Klaus' face, he was thinking the same.

"What does it mean?" Caroline questioned worriedly, growing agitated when all she received in reply were smirks. "Klaus, what does it mean?"

"Hello?" Rebekah's voice answered the phone.

"Hey, it's Caroline. We have the translation of the tattoo. We're emailing you pictures of the map and instructions right now." Caroline greeted immediately. Tyler tapped a few keys on the laptop before Rebekah's voice came again.

"Got it. Thanks."

"Actually, it was me." Klaus cut in, earning a gentle whack on the arm and a noise of protest from Violet. "Me too!" She added, smiling when she heard a small chuckle come from the other line.

"Violet I believe but, Nik, you helped?" Rebekah asked disbelievingly.

Klaus paced around, the corner of his mouth turning up in amusement. "You sound so surprised, little sister."

"Shouldn't I be? I mean, you don't want me to be human. You don't want any of us to be human." Rebekah responded bitterly. "Why would you help us find the cure?"

The other three occupants of the room looked towards him as he replied. Caroline and Tyler were curious, but Violet new that, although he rarely showed it, Klaus really did love his sister.

"Maybe I finally realized the longer I stand in the way of what you want, the longer you'll continue to hate me." He paused his pacing to smile. "Perhaps I want my sister to finally know happiness."

Violet could practically see Rebekah narrowing her eyes on Nova Scotia. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me a hundred times–"

"No more fooling." Klaus became serious. "No more games. I hope you get to live, and die, as you wish."

There was a pause as Rebekah took in her brothers words before she replied. "So do I."

Violet looks up and meets her soulmates eyes, both of them nodding discreetly. "Bekah, there's one more thing." Violet speaks up, earning the attention of Caroline and Tyler.

"There is only one dose of the cure. You need to find it first and take it. It's the only way you'll–" Klaus speaks quickly, the line getting cut off as Tyler rushes to end the call.

Violet calmly stands up and takes Klaus' awaiting hand, join him as they both smile innocently at the shocked and angry couple in front of them.

"He's worried." Klaus mused, listening in to Caroline and Tyler's conversation outside. "They both are."

From her spot on Klaus lap, Violet scoffs, lifting her head from his shoulder. "Good, they should be."

A moment of silence passes as Klaus tightens his hold on his soulmates waist. "What?" Violet questions, sensing the change in his emotions

Klaus hesitates, fearing her response. "If I try to kill Tyler, would you try to stop me? Would you hate me if I succeeded?" His anxiety grows as it takes her a second to answer.

"I don't think I could ever hate you." She finally replies. "Literally I don't think this soulmate bond will ever allow me to hate you. But no," she says. "I wouldn't hate you."

Both of them straighten up in their seats, their fingers intertwining instinctively. "I don't understand," Klaus mumbles. "You've known Tyler much longer than you have known me. Surely you would be upset if I were to kill him."

Violet glanced up at the ceiling, trying to find the words she was searching for to say. "Tyler and I grew up together, yes. And maybe I would be a little sad if he were to die, I don't think it would be right if I weren't. But at the same time, he has his fair share of wrong doings towards us. Towards you especially. I'm not Elena, I'm not gonna try and change who you are just because I don't agree with everything you do. If you kill Tyler, it's because you feel like that's what you need to do and I won't be the one to stop you."

Klaus held an expression of awe, his hand coming to gently lay across Violet's cheek. "What did I ever do to deserve you? You're so perfect, so pure. Who in their right mind would ever think to pair us together?"

His questions were more rhetorical than anything, but they made Violet's heart swell and her cheeks blush and she couldn't help but answer.

"Because despite what everyone–including you–thinks, you're a good man, Nik. And you deserve to be happy just as much as anyone else, if not more after everything you've gone through." She replied.

Klaus smiled warmly, bring her face closer by her chin and pressing a loving kiss to her lips. "I love you, my little flower. So much."

"And I love you." Violet sighed against his lips. There was a peaceful silence as the two sat and basked in their love for each other. But all good things must come to an end, because she felt Klaus shoulders drop as he let out a breath. "Caroline's about to come inside." He mumbled to her.

Violet rubbed the back of his hand with her thumb soothingly and she pressed a kiss to his temple. "You do whatever you feel is right. I'll support you either way."

So I'm still a terrible person who doesn't know how to update regularly but on the bright side there's only one chapter of this book left before we can finally move onto the sequel. Season 4 of TVD has always been my least favorite so I'm super glad to be done with it soon.

If I'm being honest I have no excuse to not haveing updated the whole summer other than I'm just lazy. But also in August I got busy and then I started school so now I do have a little more on my plate but I'm going to work on getting the last chapter up as soon as I can.

This one was a little longer than the last so I can hopefully hold y'all over for a bit while I write and some parts weren't that great but there's a few fluffy Nikolet moments in there for y'all to enjoy.

Hope y'all didn't hate this chapter and again I'm so sorry for being MIA again but I'm back and better than ever.
