He laughed.

'No' he said simply, then folded his arms in front of him with a broad smile. Ohh, that's...

'One week and I'll stand up to you! ' I looked at him firmly. The smile faded from his face.

'Are you looking down on me? ' he suddenly put his hand to the side of my head and leaned in dangerously close. His pleasant scent struck me again, and it began to lodge itself in my brain. Yana, stay alert!

'No! Rather one of those things that are out of reach.' I replied thoughtlessly.

'What?' he raised an eyebrow. Fuck! What am I talking about?

'Umm...' I turned away, 'I consider you a strong opponent against whom I would like to test my skills.' I said, like a machine that had been programmed.

'Hmm...' he hummed in a low voice. 'I thought it was something else.' he ran his long fingers through his hair, which fell back into his face.

'NO! ' I said immediately. What could he have been thinking? 

He looked at me like he didn't believe me.

'Yeah' he held up the sleeve of his shirt, 'But you know what?' I snapped at him. 'Fine' he said, and I jumped into his neck with joy. I saw a faint smile appear on his face, but it instantly disappeared. 'On one condition' he pushed me away. I looked at him curiously. 'If I beat you, you'll be my concubine.'

My face immediately turned red. It's completely ticked...

'You're out of your house! ' I said, in a tone so high that it would have been the envy of an opera. 'What if you lose and I win? ' I asked after a while. He became serious again.

'If that happens,' he leaned closer to me, 'you will officially be the leader of this organisation.' he pushed himself away from the wall and walked away. I stood frozen. His words echoed incessantly in my head. Suddenly, the image of him pressed against the wall and his body pressed against mine flashed into my mind. Again a blush covered my face. Damn it! When I walked in, I bumped into V. 

'Are you okay? You look a little pale.' he took my arm and started to look at me. 'Your neck...' he was about to reach for it, but I pushed his hand away.

'I'm fine V! ' I said grimly and then I wanted to step away from him, ending our conversation, but he wouldn't let me. 'What? ' I looked up at him, puzzled.

'You've been acting a bit strange lately...' he brushed his hand across my face. I held my breath and looked into his eyes. I opened my mouth and closed it.

'I'm just tired...' I looked away. I couldn't tell him what had happened between me and D.

'Yana, you always say that! Are you sure there's nothing else going on? ' he cupped my face in his hands. I bit my lower lip in my nerves. Why can't he leave me alone?!

'You're right...' I looked up at him again 'After all... it feels fucking great that the only parent I ever loved died 2 months ago! And then I ended up here in this world called hell from nowhere, where all this time I've been listening to every life and death question! ' I said with a gasp. V just listened to me in silence. 'Or maybe that's supposed to make me feel better...'

'Yana...' a soft voice called from the side.

'Who the...' I cocked my head in the direction of the voice, but I wished I hadn't. My face completely lost all expression, for the one standing there was none other than...

'Xeno... ' I said, slowly pronouncing his name.
