"Jesse. I'm sorry, I have a boyfriend."

"What?"

"I have a boyfriend. I'm sorry, Jesse."

"Are you kidding me? Why didn't you say anything before? Oh my gosh, I'm so embarrassed."

"No, no, no. Don't blame yourself. It's my fault. I don't even know why I went with you in the first place, we just met. I have some weird feeling I can trust you, but I don't really know you."

"Let's go on a friendly date then. We can get to know each other and then you could... I don't know, see if I'm..."

"If you're better than my boyfriend of three years?"

"Yes."

"Don't turn this into the competition."

"I'm not. I'm just saying: give me a chance."

"I —"

"Not date date. First, just a friendly date. Then in the future, I'll take you to  a real date, one that your boyfriend could never take you on."

"We don't even go to dates like we use to."

"Bonus for me! I'd take you every month, I would never forget the date of our anniversary."

"Yore too far ahead. I'm not for a quick and hurried relationship. It took me two years to say 'yes' to Sjoerd, and even that was because he was annoying me with all the texts and romantic stuff."

"Firstly, I have a better name. Secondly, I'd wait for you ten years if I have to, and I wouldn't bother you that much. I would let you go with your own tempo."

"Look, Jesse. It's not as easy as it sounds. We two have known each other for, like, half a day. Not even that. I've known Sjoerd for... 10 years? Maybe more. It's been slow progress."

"Then how do you know he's not cheating on you?"

"Jesse!"

"No, listen. Do you even have sex?"

"That's inappropriate."

"Just answer."

I let out a sigh. "No, I'm too busy."

"When was the last time you did it?"

"That's really not cool. A couple of years," I whispered.

"Years?! What guy can go that long without sex?"

"Me."

"You don't count, you spend most of the day at work. You didn't think he'd cheat on you?"

"Of course not! Our relationship is built on faith and honesty."

"The guy's cheating on you! Did he ask you to have sex?"

"Oh gosh, no!"

"You know why? Because he gets it from another."

"I don't want to listen to this. Bye, Jesse. I'll see you in the building. We have a meeting to be at and then write our speeches for the International Government session," I turned from him, walking away. I pushed back the thoughts of the words he said to the back of my mind.

I have to focus.

"What International session?" he yelled after me. I stopped walking. Without turning around, I responded.

"The leaders of big corporations and groups with presidents of government will get together for the first annual event that'll be broadcasted live to the world. We'll be discussing world problems, ways to help the environment, to make sure the education is right and many others. Mark should've told you that, you're the leader."

"He didn't."

"Not my problem," I whispered. I continued walking.

"When you discover he cheated on you, don't come crying to me!"

"Don't worry, I won't!"
