[08] Norika and Hiyori

"Excuse me, [L/N]-san. I didn't mean to bother you but why is Anna-chan didn't attend our meeting?"

You glanced at Ootani and shrugged, eyes were closed, "She told me that she including her family are going to a family day for three days setting today." You informed the brown-haired manager as she nodded her head in understanding. Looking back at your Chinese coach, you noticed the look on his face. Oh shoot.

"Norika-kun, Hiyori-kun, you will be doing a little thing for me and until then, I'll go and have a small talk with [L/N]-kun." You raised a brow and pointing your index finger on yourself.

"Me?"

He nodded his head with the same look across his face, "Yes, yes, and privately." The male added. You squinted your eyes in a suspicious way before following behind him, unknowing that the others are doing the same thing.

───────────────

"Queen of Hissatsu, that's what everyone called you back then before you want it to be, 'Queen of Soccer', am I right?"The male asked, opening his eyes to look at you. You raised a brow at the fact he is not playing a game like he usually does while telling you this which means it was serious. Totally he is a bit off with his drastic change of personality.

But why . . . The place that's supposed to speak 'privately' must be in your student council room though? When you asked him the question, he only replied in a nonchalant way that this room is more comfortable as you could only deadpanned at his unreasonable excuse.

"As the secret weapon of Inakuni Raimon, you, a soccer player who could be anything including Libero and being the only person who can do all hissatsu techniques nor the elements, it must be hard for the fact that they want you to be in their team, right?"He exclaimed out loud as if wanting the whole world to hear this. Why don't he got himself a microphone?

You couldn't help but stare at the paper in his hands, not leaving his gaze from the sheet as he is currently sitting on a chair that is quite comfortable that you provided for him.

"Wahhh, I'm really grateful for having you in this team. Yes! That's the reason why, being capable to do anything, your real position in this team is 'Secret weapon'. "

Right after he said it, the corner of your lips tugging upwards, forming into a soft smile, "As expected from you, Zhao Jinyun." You chirped, clapping your hands.

He was surprised at the reaction that he didn't think he would get from you. He only plays along with his lips pursed into a wide smile like a Cheshire cat.

"However, it would be fair if I know about you since you know about me." You smirked as his eyes snapped open in shock at the drastic change on your tone,

"Zhao Jinyun, graduated from Stanford University as valedictorian and was a kung-fu instructor for 3 years and that explained why you look like a Chinese based on your appearance." You paused and look at him with a dark smirk spread across your face as beads of sweats start forming on his temple and forehead.

"Shall I continue?"

"W-Well, t-that's unnecessary–"

"Spent 3 years in the army," You continue which caused him to fell from his comfy chair, "a baseball player for 3 years, 3 years as a soccer player and became a soccer coach but eventually retired after 1 year before disappeared from the sports world for 10 years."

"And few months prior of coaching Inakuni Raimon."There was a silence between you and the male, "It's weird . . . Why did you retire when you are such a talented coach, Zhao Jinyun?"

You leaning your back against the chair, making sure getting yourself comfortable. Tilting your head to the side and flashed him a sweet smile, "Now, I wouldn't tell more about you to the others if you keep my secret alone." Resting your chin in your palm as your elbow was rested on the wooden table, an amused smirk replaced your smile,  "Deal?"

'T-This girl is dangerous.' He thought to himself, sweating nervously. Clearing his throat, he nodded his head.

Laughing softly, you shook your head, "However, I did like to correct a little bit of your information about me that you know currently."

"I was surprised to have you know that side of me that I've been trying to keep it hidden. Though your pieces of information about me were a little bit . . . off."You confessed, trying to clear the misunderstanding of the information that he got about you, "I'm not suited to be a defender nor a keeper but if I did get a chance to be one, I would try my best. Well about Libero, nah, I'm not good in that position either."

"Plus. If you said that is a talent, I think I wouldn't tolerate with you any longer, to be honest."You crack out a small laugh, giving him a closed-eyes smile, "It was a 'hard work' you mean. But I sure do have a unique gift that no one else aside from certain people knew."

You stood up from your seat with your smile remained, "It was nice to have a chat with you, Coach. Let's act as if none of this happens, shall we and—oh right, I think Hiyori and Norika are waiting for you. You don't want to waste their time are you?"

───────────────

You looked around the basketball hall, placing the soccer ball on the floor. Nodding your head, it will do for you to train your Hissatsu techniques despite being an expert. People say, practice makes perfect.

In a view of the fact, there is no goal bar, you decided to train your block hissatsu technique. Taking a deep breath, you kicked the ball with all your might and hit the wall as it got reflected by it and was now heading towards you.

Spinning around and makes a kick, which stirs up some wind as it gets stronger and whirls around you, "Shooting Cut!"You yelled out as you keeps spinning, and then stop before raising both your hands in the air to get the wind to go up.

The wind intercepts the ball, lowering the speed of the ball until it is stopped from going forward.

"Alright-!"

"[L/N]-san?" You were startled by someone suddenly called out your name which caused the wind to disappeared and since the ball is still in the air, it fell right on your face, thanks to the gravity.

"Gyah!"

Because of the sudden impact, you were got pushed by the pressure and fell backward, landed on the floor while covering your face in pain.

"Ah-ah! Are you okay?!"Hiyori rushed over you after dropping the bucket of water on the floor including the two pieces of clothes, startled at what just happened.

"Yea, yea, I'm so perfectly okay."A groan escaped your lips, trying your best to sit up with the help of the boy before glancing at the snow haired male, giving him a puzzled look, "What are you doing here though? Shouldn't you be training with others?"

He looked down on the floor, averting his gaze away from you in shame, "This is my training . . .doing chores." He whispered it as you barely managed to hear it from his mouth. There was a pause of silence but the objects behind him proved that he is telling the truth.

Your eyebrows furrowed, "You gotta be kidding me." You uttered the words in disbelief but he could only nod his head sadly in reply, "Coach told me to wash all the floors of the school building. I was made to clean the floors endlessly."

"Woah, that . . . must be hard." You awkwardly pat his shoulder.

"Yeah before I knew it, I'd given names to my wash clothes, my only companion in this mutual suffering." He exclaimed, standing up to take them and come back after a few seconds and sit at where he sits previously, "This is Wash-san and this is Cloth-san!" He beamed.

You swallowed the lump in your throat, looking at him in pity, 'He even drew an emoticon on them!' You mentally screaming in your head, a smile remained on your face.

"T-They're cute."You managed to choke out the words and received a bright smile from him. Exchanging his gaze on the two clothes on his palms, staring at them and you swore you saw a single tear at the corner of his eyes.

"Let's work hard again today too, Wash-san! Cloth-san!"

"He's gone nuts." You whispered underneath your breath, looking at him nervously, "Thinking at the bright side, it could be a hint to your hissatsu technique." You grinned cooly.

"Maybe you are right."He smiled at you, "By the way, about hissatsu technique, you did amazing!"He commented and you swore you saw something sparkles in his eyes, "How did you do that?"

Shrugging, you laughed bashfully, "Who knows. Maybe it was just a luck." You answered honestly with the corner of your lips tugging upwards into a soft smile with your half-shut eyes bored down into his that giving a relaxed vibe for your personality.

"Hey, [L/N]-san, can I could even master my hissatsu technique just like you?" You could detect sorrow and hope in his tone, you could only humming before replying,

"You will master it, like Hiura and Golem. Don't worry so much, kiddo." You pointed out, grinning while patting his head. His face immediately flushed into bright rosy pink and rapidly nodded his head with his eyes shut close, preventing to cry.

"Hai! Wait- I'm not a kid!"When he looked at you, his eyes almost immediately widened like a full moon.

"[L/N]-san, your nose is bleeding! How come you didn't notice it?!"Placing your fingertips on your lips, the red liquid sure tainted it with its red-brown color.

"Oh."

Waving off the male, you assured him it's okay and needs to calm himself down when he starts to panic, "Don't worry, it's not as bad as it looks. I still have my consciousness. It's not like I'll faint for losing so much blood." You joked before standing up, wiping the liquids with your long sleeve shirt.

"Come on, you do aware that the floor is dirty, right?"

As if he finally snapped out from his thought, quickly lifting himself from the orange wooden floor.

"Ah! I need to clean this place!" He exclaimed loudly with his palms at either side of his head. Chuckling, you offered him a small helping, saying that you can lend him a hand but he politely declined it.

"I don't want to hurt your pride nor decline your offer, [L/N]-san but you really should wash that blood before it's getting worse!"You can't disobey him when he begins lecturing you on what will happen if you and for your health and viruses or anything like that.

"Aye, aye, doctor."You said in lazy tone, turning your heels around and left the hall. However, when you are outside, you realized you left something and instantly making your way back to the hall.

Pushing the huge door open, you take a peek, "Hey, I think I left--"Before you could finish your words, you were cut off when you saw the white-haired boy spinning at the center of the hall, mocking bowing to at the empty seats. Without making any sound, you slowly walking backward and re-close the door and whispered the sentence in a low tone.

"Sorry for the disturbance."

That handkerchief can wait, anyway.

───────────────

Walking out from the restroom with tissue in your hand before throwing it inside a near dustbin to where you are standing, though some bloodstain can be seen at your sleeve.

Looking around the area, you exhaled a low sigh, running a hand through your hair. Glancing at your digital watch, it's way too early to ditch the training.

"[L/N]-san!" Whipping your head at where the unknown voice coming from, only to see the light blue-headed male running towards you while waving his hand.

"Hiura, what's wrong?" You asked casually to the male when he finally arrived, placing both his palms on his knees while panting lightly as you waited for him to reply.

"It's okay, take your time–" You were cut by yourself when he suddenly grabbed your hand in his which taken you aback slightly as your half-shut eyes widened slightly before returning to normal.

"I have been searching for you everywhere." He exclaimed, making you raised an eyebrow at his words.

"Really? Why?" He only replies to you with a shrug and starts dragging you somewhere else by your wrist before you could say anything.

───────────────

"This is . . ."You turned your head slightingly to the side to look at your coach, waiting for an explanation. You swore that if he laughs and says something unreasonable, you would never let yourself hesitate to make him not coming to the practice tomorrow. Thankfully, he didn't as if he could hear what you thought.

"Ah, [L/N]-san. Thank goodness you are here but can you help me with something?"

"No."

"Good. Would you like to help Norika-kun with her training?" Your eyes are now casted on the female keeper who has the determination and not to mention, a slight hope in her eyes.

"You didn't give me any choice, aren't you?"You sighed before forming a soft smile spread across your face and held your hand out, "Give me the gloves."

Standing in front of the hanging black tyre, punching your own fist on your palm with a sly grin grows on your lips, "Now, let's get this started." With the help of Mansaku to swing the certain tyre, giving him a cue to sway it.

Nodding his head, he swayed it with force as you told him to do it though worry can be seen in his eyes but agreed nonetheless and rather easily, you stopped it by one hand. Everyone was surprised at the result, seeing you barely use any energy.

Stepping aside, you gestured Norika to do it. She gulped down the lump in her throat nervously but agreed without any words.

Swaying the big round object gently, she waited for the right time to stop it. However, she was thrown away by the impact and luckily you caught her from behind, preventing her from receiving any injury.

"Look, as we know, being a keeper also important in the team. Besides the hissatsu technique, we also need good stamina and the right technique so we can stop the ball from entering the net. Especially when the opponent used their hissatsu technique that we didn't know the impact that they can cause." You told them rather firmly and placed your palm against the black large object but then, your gaze softened when you remembered Endou Mamoru.

"Mamoru also did this back then." You murmured softly underneath your breath in an inaudible tone to their ears, looking at the black object as the sun started setting in the corner of your eyes, "This tyre reminded me of him."

Grinning at the end, you turned around to look at the others.

"Alright, go home and take a good rest . . . ! Because we will start training tomorrow, especially you, Norika!" The said female look at you when the corner of your lips tugging upwards, forming into a smirk and your arms crossed, "Are you ready?"

She stared at you before nodding her head, bowing down her head, "Yes! Please bear with me- No! I'll do my best!" She corrected herself and you look at her with amusement.

"Very well."

───────────────

"Ah!"

"Again!"

"Ugh!"

"One more!"

"Gyahh!" A scream escaped from her lips as she collapsed on the floor when you give her a cue to rest.

"Don't you think this is way too harsh, [L/N]-san?!"Asked Asuto in concern tone but you shut him up with a glare before returning your gaze back on the female, "She must bear the pain of becoming a goalkeeper, Asuto."You growled, narrowing your eyes when she barely could stand up.

"What's wrong, Norika?"

" I . . . can't do this . . . anymore. I'm sorry . . ."She whispered, her bangs are hiding her eyes so you couldn't see the tears that start welling up in them. The others are concern as much as Asuto as the male was about to ask you to stop the training for a moment but what just escaped your mouth, enough making his eyes widened in shock.

"I see. It looks like I overestimated you. Now excuse me."Ungloving your hands, you placed the gloves on the ground, "Then our training ends here."With that, you walked away from them.

"Is she really is the same [L/N]?" Gounji asked, looking at your retreat form with a puzzled look. Everyone thinks the same as he did but they wouldn't have if they know your main intention.

───────────────

Norika walked out from the wooden building behind her, did a little stretching before freezing in her spot when she saw a familiar silhouette near the entrance, as if has been waiting for her.

"[L/N]-san!" She said in surprise tone following with a small gasp and covered her mouth, hoping that she's not being a little bit too loud enough to wake up anyone in the building who is a light sleeper.

"Let's go. I'll teach you a hissatsu technique. And a girl like you shouldn't have been going there alone."

"What about you?"

"Me? I would always bring someone with me."

"Wait, really? Then where are they?"

"Nowhere. Let's forget about me for a moment and focus more on you and your technique."
