Two weeks later.

"Bitch zon't zo it. Zon't fucking zo it." Kaisyn frowned at Promise, her best friend-who Kai damn near forgot about.

"I think I'm gonna zo it." She smirked, before pressing send on her phone, and both of them screamed as she threw it.

"Bitch I said don't! Oh my god he gone get you." Kaisyn busted out laughing, and Promise shrugged.

"Cause I know he with a bitch. It's been three hours, no 'I'm busy' text or nothin'? Yeah okay bitch I got something for you." She shrugged again, and Kaisyn chuckled.

"It's justified, but Comethazine crazy. So when he come and kill you, ima sit back and watch because you knew better." Kaisyn told her, and she laughed.

"I love my man so bad. If he giving that dick away he won't have to kill me cause ima kill myself first." Promise sat back against her pillow, grabbing a slice of pizza from the open box between them.

"This the first nigga you haven't cheated on. I would say I'm proud, but I don't believe you." Kaisyn said, making her laugh again.

"And that's why you the bestie because I have cheated. But I only cheated with text. Not in person, so it doesn't count." She bit into her pizza, and Kaisyn laughed.

"As long as he don't find out, it didn't even happen foreal." Kaisyn shrugged, grabbing a wing and looking up at the TV, the two of them watching Bad Girls Club.

"On g-you not finna answer that?" Promise chuckled, pointing to Kaisyn's phone as it rung, 'Baby' flashing on her screen.

"No. I told him I was with you. He don't want nothing my baby just clingy." She said as she dipped her wing in a cup of ranch.

"'My baby' is so cute. I never seen you like this before best friend. He must be special." Promise smiled big, happy for Kaisyn.

"He is, I swear on my brother. I didn't believe him when he said he got me, but he really do P, like foreal. And he pays so much attention to me, like he'll see that I liked something on Twitter, and boom I got that shit within a day."

"And he done learned how I be feeling through my body language too. Like I'll bite the skin on my bottom lip, and he be like 'you mad ain't you?' And I be like yup cause I do be mad." Kaisyn smiled, and Promise laughed, shaking her head.

"It's just different. I never had somebody like love me, all of me. Like he love the way I think, the way I move and how I talk. He show me that me and him could do things together, make decisions together. Bitch! He got me fucking praying." Kaisyn told her, and she gasped loudly.

"No bitch." She dramatically spoke, making Kaisyn laugh.

"Yes girl. And not so much as praying, but like manifesting, cause he know I don't really fuck wit' big G and shit." Kaisyn said, and Promise laughed.

"What you mean? Like writing stuff down type manifest?" She asked, and Kaisyn shook her head.

"Okay so I'll be like 'damn I'll never get this or I'll never do that' and then he make me say 'I will have this, I will do that'. He hate when I talk negatively. He tell me believe that I already got what I want, and it's gone come to me. Shit like that."

"Or when I'm sad, he be like 'tell yourself I'm not finna let this affect my day'. Like he tell me to speak positively, so that positive shit happens. You know?" Kaisyn looked over at her, before laughing at the pout on her face.

"You sound so happy when you talk about him best friend. I'm so happy for you, you been needing a love like this. Well not need, but you can really tell the positive effect he has on you. I love him for you." Promise told her, and Kaisyn smiled, eating another wing.

"Me too. And we spend everyday together, you know I gotta like him to do that cause ion even like being around the same person too often, I be needing time to myself. But not with him, I literally wanna be with him 25/8." Kaisyn shook her head, and Promise laughed, nodding.

"Ain't nothing wrong with that. That's how it's supposed to be. How long you been with him?" She asked, and Kaisyn pondered in thought.

"Umm, six months? Maybe seven? I forgot. But it feels so much longer bruh. 'Cause we literally spend every single day together. So the bond is stronger than just six months, you know?" She chuckled to herself, and Promise nodded.

"Thinking about other things, like for the future with him? Any talks like that or y'all just chilling in the moment?" Promise asked, opening a bag of hot Cheetos.

"He wants a baby. Like real bad." Kaisyn shook her head, and Promise smiled.

"Best friend why you say it like that? That's good. Niggas don't have babies with just anybo-never mind yes the fuck they do. But you know what I mean." She waved herself off, and Kaisyn chuckled.

"I mean, I wouldn't mind. I just don't want a baby to change nothing. What if the version of him that he shows right now, is fake? You know we in the puppy love stage, or whatever, but I want it to stay like this forever."

"What if a baby cuts that short? I love him, I want him to be all over me like this forever. I don't want this to be just a 'stage'. Or what if I'm not a good mom? My baby a' probably hate me." Kaisyn mumbled.

"Kaisyn you have to stop worrying about 'what if's' so much. Because what if that doesn't happen? What if when y'all have a baby, y'all get closer? What if he loves you more? What if you fall in love with your baby and the baby fall in love with you?" Promise retorted, and Kaisyn sighed.

She would love that life. She would love to have a baby that loves her, and Von as the father. She was just afraid.

She'd love to give a child the love she never got from parents. To show her baby how to love, how to live life in a happy, stable, two parent home. She'd love that.

"I want that bad. I'm just so damn scared. Because you never know, foreal. You think you know a person, but that shit can change. Fast. I don't want that to happen." Kaisyn said, watching her phone ring again.

"Don't expect bad just because you used to it Yani. You overthink your happiness too much. It's so much simpler than you tell yourself baby. He makes you happy, and that's it. It's no what ifs, or when's, it's now Kaisyn. He makes you happy, there aren't any jump scares or nothin'. It's just happiness."

"He's not Karti, he's not any of them bitches you used to fuck with, so don't treat him like one. You happy with him, so just be happy. Stop looking for something to show that it's fake. Just accept it Kais. You deserve it." Promise told her, and Kaisyn reached over, hugging around her neck.

"I needed to hear that P. Thank you baby." She mumbled, and Promise smiled.

"You are so welcome bestie. Now, what else y'all be talking about?" She asked, and Kaisyn laughed.

"Moving in together chi'. Sometimes I feel like we moving fast, but it feel so natural. Like ain't nothing forced, but it's happening so quick. For example, a baby? We only been together six months, but we both want that. Moving in? We both want that, it feel so natural P." Kaisyn chuckled, shaking her head.

"Bitch now you know damn well ain't no time limit on love. Don't even play that card." Promise stale faced her, and she laughed, holding her hands up in surrender.

"You right. Ima talk to him tonight about whats next for us. And ima let him get me pregnant too. I been popping them plan b's like percs." Kaisyn sucked in air, making Promise laugh.

"I know them side effects be getting you bitch." Promise said, and she nodded, agreeing.

"Ima stop taking em' though. We gone see what happen chi'. Cause he want a kid so so bad. Like it's crazy. He get me whatever I want, so I guessss I'll let him have that one thing." Kaisyn dragged her sentence, shrugging.

"And if he ever, ever, everrrrr try to play like he a dead beat-

"Ima show him a deader beat. That baby gone raise it damn self he bet the fuck not play wit' me." Kaisyn finished for her, making her bust out laughing.

"Exfuckingzactly. City girl shit." Promise dapped her up, and Kaisyn laughed.

"Ima go though. He going fucking crazy without me. I love you so much best friend." Kaisyn hugged around her neck, and Promise hugged her tight.

"I love you even more. Come and spend next weekend with me. The whole weekend, just me and you. We can go on a quick trip like we used to do. I wanna try that hot chicken in Tennessee." Promise told her, making her laugh.

"Okay. We can do that." Kaisyn kissed her cheek, and she smiled.

They said their goodbyes, and a few minutes later, Kaisyn was pulling off in her car.

Kaisyn had spent the night with Promise, and then spent all day together, just catching up and chilling with each other.

She'd missed her best friend, and she was glad that they'd talked, because Promise really got through to her, she needed to hear that.

Kaisyn some Promise when she'd first made it to Atlanta. Promise was the one who helped her get a job at the club, and gave her a place to stay until she got on her feet all the way.

She was a great friend, and she always had Kaisyn's back, through the good and bad decisions, Promise was on her side no matter what.

A few minutes later, Kaisyn was pulling in her garage. She yawned as she stepped out of her car.

Before she could open the door to walk inside her house, it swung open, and Von wrapped his arms around her, making her laugh.

"I missed you so much bruh. I had the extension cord ready to kill myself." He told her, and she laughed again, letting him pick her up.

"I missed you too baby. You so damn dramatic, blowing my phone up like that the whole time I was gone." She stale faced him, and he shrugged.

"I can't breathe without you. And you hung up the FaceTime this morning, why? You hate me?" He frowned at her, and she laughed.

"Me and P drove to IHOP for breakfast and I needed to use my phone for the music. I forgot to call back." She chuckled, laying in her bed with him.

"You had fun though?" He asked, and she nodded.

"A lot. I missed my bff." She said as he rubbed her face, staring at her.

"What?" She smiled, licking over her lips.

"You so beautiful. I missed you." He mumbled, and she leaned over, pecking his lips twice.

"Thank you baby. I missed you too." She kissed his forehead, and he smiled as she pulled away.

"What you thinking about?" He asked, pushing her hair behind her ear.

"Our life." She mumbled, and he fought back a smile.

"Me and you? What about it?" He rubbed her sides, and she shrugged.

"What do you wanna do?" She laid her head down on his arm, kissing his nose.

"I want a baby." He spoke softly, and she smiled, rubbing his face.

"Okay. Foreal this time." She said, and a wide smile spread across his lips.

"Swear?" He asked, and she nodded.

"On my soul. You can throw all my plan B's away." She told him, and he smirked, making her laugh.

"And you gone move in wit' me?" He asked, and she nodded again, making his smile grow.

"But I want a new house. A house for me, you, and the baby. Something we can find together. I wanna do life together with you." She mumbled, and he pulled her closer, resting his forehead against hers.

"I love you so much. Ima make sure we good forever. I promise. Just me and you. And our baby." He smirked at the end, and she laughed, kissing his lips.
