AMARA SAT WITH Clarisse, sighing deeply. As much as Clarisse was a hot head, Amara was always able to keep her grounded.

"So, you ditched your boyfriend?" Clarisse nudged Amara with a playful smirk.

Amara rolled her eyes, fiddling with her wolf necklace. Luke wasn't her boyfriend.

"Not my boyfriend, can't fall in love." Amara leaned her head back, looking at Clarisse.

Clarisse giggled, shaking her head "Okay, Megara."

Amara raised a brow intrigued. Huh?

"You act a lot like her, Luke is Hercules." Clarisse teased, poking Amara's side.

Amara grimaced, looking at Clarisse "I'm a damsel, I'm in distress. I can handle this."

"That's the spirit." Clarisse bumped hips with Amara, a sly grin resting on her lips.

"How do I put up with your antics everyday?" Amara sighed in frustration.

Clarisse was known to be a bit of a hot head. Amara was able to tame her to the best of her ability. Nobody in camp understood the two girls relationship.

"Same way you put up with Luke's flirtations." Clarisse giggled, wiggling her brows.

Amara shoved her playfully "Quit it!"

Clarisse laughed, holding onto Amara. Amara blushing, looking away from Clarisse. She wasn't gonna let it go any time soon.

"Oh, come on, Menendez. Lighten up." Clarisse placed her head on Amara's shoulder.

Amara rolled her eyes, shaking her head "Gods, you annoy me."

Clarisse giggled, standing up "You still love me."

Amara pretended to think about it, following suit starting to walk away hearing the dinner bells "Whatever helps you sleep at night."

Clarisse pouted, walking with Amara to the dining pavilion. Amara walked over to Luke, planting a kiss on his cheek. Luke cleared his throat, blushing. Amara waved at Percy before walking off to get her dinner.

"You have Castellan wrapped around your pinky." Chris spoke from behind Amara.

Amara jumped turning around to Luke's half-brother "I'm sure."

"5 years without you really did a number on him. He would not shut the hell up about you. Like ever." Chris chuckled, walking with Amara.

Amara snorted, looking at Chris, walking with him "The poor baby."

Chris laughed, shaking his head. Amara sat down at their table, next to Luke.

"What's so funny?" Luke squinted his eyes at Amara.

Amara twisted open her juice, taking a sip "Nothing."

Luke raised a brow, not really convinced with Amara's answer. Chris shrugged, continuing to eat.

"Is there a Greek god of disappointment? Maybe someone should ask him if he's missing a kid." Percy looked between the three, looking defeated.

Amara placed down her fork, leaning over to Luke "Didn't go well?"

Luke sighed, whispering back "Not really."

Amara frowned, sitting up straight, turning her attention to Percy "Oizys."

Chris looked at his food then Percy "But she's a goddess. And her whole thing isn't really disappointment, it's more like failure."

Amara winced slightly as Chris explained who Oizys was to Percy. Luke turned from Chris to Percy. Amara smiled softly at Percy.

"We're gonna find the thing you're good at. I know it." Luke sent a comforting smile to Percy.

Before Percy could reply the bells chimed. Amara stood up with her food.

"Our turn." Luke spoke up, turning from Amara to Percy.

"Our turn for what?" Percy questioned, looking up at Luke.

"Burnt offerings." Amara told Percy, looking down at him.

"The gods like the smell, so it gets their attention before you say a prayer." Luke added.

Percy's eyes averted between the three as he looked at them "They like the smell of burnt Mac and Cheese?"

"They like the smell of begging." Chris chuckled, walking off.

Amara squeezed Luke's shoulder before following Chris. Luke caught up with Amara, holding her hand. The two burnt their food.

"You staying the night again?" Luke questioned, hopefulness in his voice.

Amara hummed, biting her lip "I guess."

Luke kissed her cheek before walking off.

THE MOON SHINED Through the Hermes cabin, Amara's head on Luke's bare chest. Luke sighed, rubbing Amara's back. The two laid there, quietly.

"I missed you and I'm sorry if I was being a complete ass." Amara apologized, looking up at Luke with a slight frown.

Luke looked down at her, shaking his head "Don't apologize. I missed you, too."

Amara blushed, resting her head back on his chest. Luke kept rubbing soothing circles on Amara's back.

"I just shouldn't have reacted the way I did." Amara frowned, lacing their fingers together.

Luke rubbed his thumb over her knuckles "Ames."

Amara bit her lip, sighing deeply "I'm sorry."

"It's okay, Menendez. We're talking again, that's all that matters." Luke yawned, looking down at her.

Amara sighed in defeat "Alright, night, Lukey."

"Good night, Ames." Luke closed his eyes, getting comfortable.

The pair soon let sleep take over.
